This study analyzes the novel using a statistical approach. The research method is a qualitative-descriptive method. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of structuring that is contained in the novel House without Windows by Asma Nadia. As for data collected through library research research techniques, see techniques and note techniques. The data used in this study are excerpts from the novel that are the source of the data. The source of the data in this study is the novel House without Windows by Asma Nadia. In addition, the data obtained are classified based on their shape in order to facilitate the analysis. Data analyzed are data that have been tested for validity by validators who are experts in their fields. Referring to the knife analysis of the stylistic approach, we found a form of structural alignment. So, it can be concluded that the form of structuring data obtained from the novel House without Window by Asma Nadia 55 data with detailed data, 9 data repetition, 4 data parallelism, 7 data anaphora, 9 data antithesis, 7 data alliteration, climax as much as 1 data, asindeton as much as 13 data, rhetorical questions as much as 4 data, and polisidenton as much as 1 data. While the least data found was polysindeton and climax data, and no anticlimactic data was found.

This thesis entitled "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Robin Roe's Novel A List of Cages". This thesis discussed about the symptoms Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in the novel A List of Cages by Robin Roe. This thesis aimed to find out how the symptoms of ADHD are described through the leading character in the novel. This thesis used to describe the core symptoms of ADHD, namely: Attention, Impulsivity, and Hyperactivity. There are symptoms of ADHD that Adam has, namely: Attention symptom is easily bored; Impulsivity symptom is agitated; and the Hyperactivity symptom is: do excessive motor activities. This thesis used Russell Barkley's theory to analyze the symptoms in a novel using Literary Psychology. In analyzing this thesis, the writer used a qualitative descriptive method that presents all data in the form of words and sentences and uses library research as a way to collect data by reading and selecting quotations from the novel A List of Cages. From this research it is found that the leading character in the novel experienced all the three core symptoms of ADHD.

This aims of this study reflect about etchical hedonism in Jay Gatsby as main character in the novel which take place in New York 1920’s after First War.The researcher uses William Lillie’s ethical hedonism theory. Ethical hedonism is the way of thinking to achieve happiness in the middle of troublesome modern world. The purpose of ethical hedonism teory is to make everyone as happy as possible. The data are used in this novel are quotation between the characters. The ethical hedonism theory consists of egoistic hedonism and universalistic hedonism. The source of the data is the novel The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This research is library research, with the data in the form of words, dialogues, and expression showed in the novel. The writer uses qualitative descriptive method, the writer collects data from so many sources included The Great Gatsby novel, journals, and books. The results of this study show that there are some impact that influenced by ethical hedonism, they are: (1) egoistic hedonism (2) universalistic hedonism (3) lifestyle (4) materialism, its reflected by the character quotation.

Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.

This study aimed at elaborating and identifying the law and the virtues of funeral prayer, the definition of absentee funeral prayer, the propositions of the inquiry of absentee funeral prayer, scholars’ opinions on the law of absentee funeral prayer, the ruling of absentee funeral prayer, time and distance limit in absentee funeral prayer, and the law of absentee funeral prayer on the victims of natural disasters. This study employed qualitative-descriptive method with normative approach techniques and library research. The result of the study shows that: (1) The law of absentee funeral prayer is permissible on the corpse that is not yet prayed on; (2) The ruling of absentee funeral prayer is the same as the ruling of funeral prayer; (3) There is no time limit for performing absentee funeral prayer on condition that the person dies at the time person who wants to perform prayer has been able to perform prayer; (4) The distance limit of absentee funeral prayer is the distance in which it is difficult to be visited by people who want to perform prayer; (5) The natural disaster victim, if his or her body is not found and is not yet prayed on, then he/she can be prayed on in absentia.

The novel Bumi Manusia is a controversial novel that contains Indigenous life in the Dutch colonial period. Pram depicts the cultural differences between Indigenous and Dutch with a very contrast in all aspects in more detail and depth. The purpose of this research is to expose the cultural differences which are framed in the novel Bumi Manusia. This research is also intended to expose the differences between Javanese and Dutch cultures which not only distinguish culture based on appearance and language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with secondary data which are obtained from the library research, in the form of literature which are related to this research. The results of this study are: 1) Culture can affect one's personality and mindset. 2) The author describes broader cultural differences and is able to criticize the social gap or strata which are formed from the different cultures at the same time. Keywords :Framing Analysis, Media Studies, Bumi Manusia

Research Show

Of several problems in the Millennial era, one of them is the westernization of science, including Islamic education. So it is necessary to find a solution by Islamizing science as conceptualized by Ismail Radji al-Faruqi. This research is a library research using qualitative descriptive analysis. Data was collected from various kinds of reading sources in the form of scientific articles and books and other supporting references, then ancarried content analysis was in-depthout to find solutions to educational problems in the millennial era. The results of the research show that the concept of Islamic education Ismail Radji al-Faruqi is a leading Muslim intellectual who has responded positively to the development of science and technology, but he still puts the principle of tauhid in his idea of ​​Islamization of science. Through a work plan arranged systematically with five objectives and twelve stages al-Faruqi was able to realize his program. It is important to review the concept of education to be re-realized in the current millennial era.

 This study aims to describe the content of the novel Simple Miracles by Ayu Utami in terms of literary sociology studies. In addition, this study also sees its relevance to the learning of literature in high school grade XII. Novel Simple Miracles tells the spiritual story of the main character and his family in everyday life. In addition, in it also told about the relation of society related to religious, social, culture, and residence. This research uses qualitative descriptive method to describe the result of research of literary sociology on Simple Miracles novel. The results of this study indicate a social relationship between the character both in one family member and outside family members. It is that which indicates a relationship or social value in the novel. This novel also has a Javanese cultural value related to its birth and its inner death. The value of sociology literature study on social, religious, and cultural activities can be used as reference material in the study of literature in high school class XII in KD 4.1.

This article was written by the author for several reasons. First; many academics are not familiar with the thought of Fāḍil āliḥ al-Samarrā'ī’s interpretation, even though he is one of the commentators who live in the contemporary era. Second; The author thinks that the the Fāḍil āliḥ al-Samarrā'ī method of interpretation is still not widely known by researchers. Therefore, the author examines one of his commentaries, namely 'alā arīq al tafsīr al bayānī. The focus of this article is to understand the method of interpreting the Qur'an from the perspective of Fāḍil āliḥ al-Samarrā'ī. To answer this, the author uses a qualitative-descriptive method with library research using the reading of the original interpretation of al-Samarrā'ī in his book, namely al-haqiqat al-lughawiyyah, al-haqiqat al-'urfiyyah, al-haqiqat al-syar'iyyah.

This study aims to find out about language errors that occur in an Arabic textbooks entitled Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah of Muhammad In'am, M.A. Not only the errors that were discussed but there was an attempt or Tashwib or correction in order to evaluate the results of the analysis that has been done. Library research was used with a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the subject of the study which is Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah both volumes I and II. In this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: there are errors in language syntactic aspects in the textbooks. There are several categories of errors (refer to the classification of Toto Suharto et al): nakirah Ma'rifah, Dhamir, huruf Jar, Murakkab Idhafi, Isim Isyarah, Jumlah Ismiyah, and Jumlah Fi'liyah. Several reasons were found for the occurrence of these errors, namely lack of accuracy in writing textbooks, lack of workforce that helped the author to edit the material to be presented in textbooks and limited human resources which led to inefficient writing of textbooks. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang beberapa kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa yang terjadi dalam penulisan buku teks bahasa Arab Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah karya Muhammad In’am. MA, bukan hanya kesalahan-kesalahan yang dibahas tapi ada upaya Tashwib atau pembenaran guna sebagai evaluasi dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan. Ketegori yang digunakan penelitian library research dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan objek buku teks bahasa Arab Arab Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah karya Muhammad In’am. MA baik jilid I dan II. Dalam penelitian ini dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut, bahwa: adanya kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa aspek sintaksis dalam buku teks Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah karya Muhammad In’am. MA baik jilid I dan II. Ditemukan beberapa kategori kesalahan (merujuk pada klasifikasi Toto Suharto dkk): Nakirah Ma’rifah, Dhamir, huruf Jar, Murakkab Idhafi, Isim Isyarah, Jumlah Ismiyah, dan Jumlah Fi’liyah.  di temukan beberapa alasan terjadinya kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut yakni kurangnya ketelitian dalam menulis buku teks, kurangnya tenaga kerja yang membantu penulis dalam mengedit materi-materi yang akan di sajikan dalam buku teks, keterbatasan sumber daya  manusia yang menyebabkan kurang efisien dalam menulis buku teks. This research was aimed at seeing the protagonist's characters portrayed in the novel Paper Towns by John Green. The research applied the theory of Flat and Round Character proposed by E. M. Forster (1993). This research follows qualitative descriptive method proposed by Creswell (2003), an effective model that occurs in a natural setting that enables the researcher to develop a level of detail from being highly involved in the actual experiences. The result of the analysis shows that the significant protagonist's characters in the novel are distinctive self-disclosure, great ambition and affection. All the distinctive characters drive the protagonist to break the string with the people around her and bring a conflict with her parents.
