This paper examines the comparative maqāṣid al-syarī’ah in the thoughts of ibn 'āsyūr and jasser auda, preceded by examining the construction of maqāṣid  al-syarī’ah thinking of ibnu' āsyur and jasser auda which contains the background of thought, maqāṣid  al- theory. shārī 'ah, and the method of determining the maqāṣid  al-syarī’ah. This paper also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the similarities and differences between the maqāṣid  al-syarī’ah which was initiated by Ibn 'Āsyūr and Jasser Auda. Not to forget that this type of research is library research using a comparative approach. The results show that the similarities of maqāṣid  al-syarī’ah ibnu āsyūr and jasser auda both make constructive criticism of the traditional model maqâsid for various reasons, while the difference is that the concept of maqāṣid asy-syarīʻah is offered with their background backgrounds. The weaknesses of the maqāṣid al-syarī'ah Ibn 'Āsyūr are that the big idea is still the same as that of Imam al-Shāṭibī such as the method of istiqrā' and the way of expressing the aims of shari 'by paying attention to the form of amar, nahi which has a clear start, while the lack of maqāṣid al-syarīʻah Jasser Auda is in the author's opinion setting aside the turast tradition.

Most of traditional Muslim exegetes interpret Q. 4:34 in terms of maintaining the superiority of men over women. Some progressive Muslim scholars then insist a contextual approach to the verse to criticize gender inequality. Among some progressive Muslim scholars, this article comparatively examines the interpretations of Amina Wadud and Mohammed Talbi of Q. 4:34. Although both of them propose a contextual reading of the verse, they have different intellectual background, approach and method in interpreting the Qur’ān. The questions are to what extent the similarities and differences of both Wadud’s and Talbi’s interpretation of Q. 4:34 and how far their interpretations reflect their respective intention and perspective? Applying Gadamer’s hermeneutical approach, the article concludes that [1] Both Wadud and Talbi argue that the verse does not establish the superiority of men over women, but acknowledges duties division among married couple; [2] the difference among their interpretations is on the status of relationship among married couple; [3] Wadud’s and Talbi’s interpretations represent their respective hermeneutical situations and the way they define ontologically the nature of  interpretation and Qur’anic hermeneutics affect on producing the meanings of the verse.

This research focuses to explore the concept of moral education according to ibn Miskawih and Aristoteles. What are the similarities and differences in their opinions about morals education?. The main aspect of human self development is morality, namely the source of human behaviour that applied in everyday life. This research uses qualitative methods while the type of research is library research. Research is carried out based on the literature review. The results of the study is that the concept of ahlak education according to Ibn Miskawih an Aristoteles is related to character, soul and virtue, goodness and happiness, virtue and midpoint, early age education and akhlak purpose. The equality of the two concepts is that akhlak education is based on the soul of each individual. The title of this paper is “The Writing Tradition of Muslim Scientists in the Archipelago Since The Age of Kingdom to Contemporary Period.” How significant is the development of the writing tradition among the scientist in the age of kingdom. What are the things that encourage these scientists to perform the writing activities. Then materially, which subject fields that muslim scientist are interested in. And also in the contemporary era, this is which is discussed in this paper. This paper is intended to discover the uniqueness of scientist in each age. It is also expected to explore whether or not there are similarities and differences between different times. This paper is qualitative type with the library research approach. By studying the history books of the Islamic empires in the Archipelago and the writings related to the work of Muslim scientists. This paper is the way how the present generation and also the future generation to be able to track and respect history, by studying and preserving it. Judul tulisan ini adalah “Tradisi Menulis Ilmuan Muslim Nusantara Sejak Zaman Kerajaan Hingga Masa Kontemporer”. Sudah sampai sejauh mana perkembangan tradisi menulis pada masa Kerajaan. Hal-hal apa saja yang mendorong para ilmuan tersebut untuk melakukan aktivitas di atas. Kemudian secara materi, bidang-bidang apa saja yang diminati oleh ilmuan muslim Nusantara.  Begitu juga pada masa zaman kontemporer, Ini salah satu bagian yang dikaji. Berupaya menemukan kekhasan masing –masing zaman. Juga diharapkan mampu mencari apakah ada atau tidak kesamaan dan perbedaan di antara masa yang berbeda. Tulisan ini  berjenis kualitatif, dengan pendekatan  library research.  Dengan mengkaji buku sejarah kerajaan Islam di Nusantara dan tulisan yang berhubungan dengan karya para ilmuan ilmuan muslim. Tulisan ini merupakan salah satu cara upaya generasi sekarang dan akan datang untuk dapat melacak dan menghormati sejarah, dengan mempelajari dan melestarikannya.

As a guide to human life, the Qur'an has served many wise stories about the ancients so that we can make i'tibar in everyday life. One interesting story to study is the story of Ashab al-Sabt. The mufassir, both classical and contemporary mufassir, have their own interpretation in interpreting the story of Ashab al-Sabt contained in the Qur'an, even in interpreting the form of adzab in the story cendrung give rise to a polemic of prolonged interpretation. This research will describe the interpretation of Ibn Kathir and Wahbah al-Zuhaili on the story of Ashab al-Sabt and the similarities and differences between the interpretation of Ibn Kathir and Wahbah al-Zuhaili about Ashab al-Sabt. The approach used is qualitative approach with the type of literature research (library research). As for the results of this study, Ibn Kathir and Wahbah al-Zuhaili interpreted the story of Ashab al-Sabt as the story of the ancient people who lived on the outsized sea of Qazlum (red sea) of Ailah city who violated God's command not to catch fish on Saturday. Second, there is an equal interpretation between the two is that the form of God's curse on Ashab al-Sabt who committed violations in the form of physical curses that is the change of physical form into apes and the two mufassir agreed that in response to the agreement made, Ashab al-Sabt divided into three groups, namely: groups that commit violations, groups that prohibit violations and groups that are silent. The difference in interpretation between the two is that the interpretation of Wahbah al-Zuhaili is ahkam interpretation, this is seen when he interprets the story from the perspective of Fiqh al-Hayah wa al-Ahkam, that the story of Ashab al-Sabt part of the assertion of sadd dzara'i and the obligations of charity ma'ruf and nahi munkar.

The word infidel is mentioned 525 times in the Qur'an. The use of this word infidel has various meanings as in the QS. Ali 'Imran:151, the word infidels are those who associate partners with Allah while in QS. Luqman:12, the Qur'an calls the disbelievers those who disbelieve in the favors of Allah. The difference in the term infidel is not only limited to the verses of the Qur'an, but also applies among commentators, scholars, intellectuals, to ordinary people, including in the understanding of Indonesian society. This research is entitled "The Meaning of Kafir in the Qur'an (Comparative Study of the Interpretation of Ibn Kasir and M. Qurais Shihab)". In order to significantly answer the questions that arise; what is the meaning of infidel in the Qur'an according to Ibn Kasir in the book of Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Azhim and M. Quraish Shihab in the book of Tafsir al-Misbah, similarities and differences in interpretation, and the relevance of their interpretation in the Indonesian context. This research is a library research that uses descriptive comparative analysis research method with a historical approach. The results of this study are: the socio-historical context, sources of interpretation, methods, and styles have a significant influence in producing differences in the interpretation of the Qur'an, especially regarding the meaning of kafir. Between Ibn Kasir and M. Quraish Shihab agreed to interpret the word infidel in the form of isim jama 'muzakkar salim (الكَافِرُوْنَ) in five (5) verses, namely QS. al-Mai'dah: 44, QS. al-A'raf: 45, QS. al-Taubah: 32, QS. al-Ankabut: 47, and QS. al-Rum: 8 with the meaning of denying and covering, but differing in explaining the interpretation of the five verses, although the difference is not that far away. The interpretations of the two figures in this thesis are very relevant to the context of Indonesia which is multi-religious and multi-cultural.

This research examined the formulation of legendary heroic stories and popular in Japan about the story of Rurouni Kenshin or often referred to as Samurai X and Miyamoto Mushashi atu called Samurai I. The two stories are then adapted into the screen and get a positive response and even enter in star 7 in the Box Office and imdb. It’s clear that the two of the stories surged as apopular works and deserve to be analyzed by using the popular literature approach. To examine the hypothesis, researchers used the Cawelty theory with the terminology of formula/formulae. By using the Cawelty concept, this research examined the formulas used in both Japanese legend stories Rurouni Kenshin and Miyamoto Mushashi regarding similarities and differences as well as the factors that caused them to become popular according to the values and tastes of the audience. The results of the study indicated that the two action legends generally have the same action story formula as the cawelty formula, story/narrative structure, and similar motives for action. The difference from the two stories lines mainly in the way of author presents mythology and metaphor. Formula is one of the main factors that make a story like and get a positive response in the market, including consistency, originality, and the ability to attract miracles, place and style in the presentation of stories.

The purpose of this study is to determine the legality principle according to positive criminal law in Indonesia and Islamic criminal law and to find out the comparison between the legality principle according to positive criminal law and Islamic criminal law. This type of research used in this research is using library research or known as literature research. The principle of legality in Indonesia's positive criminal law is a very fundamental principle. Because the principle of legality in criminal law is important to determine whether a criminal law regulation can be treated against a criminal act that occurs. In Islamic criminal law, the legality principle has a great influence on the judge's power, because the judge's power is very broad compared to the judge in positive law where the judge does not have sufficient power to act against the crime maker in accordance with the public interest. Comparison of the principle of legality between Islamic law and positive law. Whereas the application of the legality principle to positive criminal law and Islamic criminal law has similarities and differences. The similarity is that both apply the principle of legality in the legal process while the difference is that positive criminal law is the same in its application to offenses, whereas in Islamic criminal law there is a distinction between Jarimah qishas diyat, hudud, which is applied strongly, while in Jarimah ta'zir it is relaxed so that the benefit of society is fulfilled. In addition to having the similarities and differences above, the legality principle also has advantages and disadvantages, among others, in Islamic law the criminal provisions cannot be changed (added / reduced) because it is a provision from Allah which is standard, while in positive law the criminal provisions may change at any time. according to the times.

This study discusses the similarities and differences in Al-Qur'an reading material between riwāyat Hafş Ibn Sulaimān al-Kūfiy and riwāyat Warsy 'Uśmān Ibn Sa'īd al-Mişrī and its implications for Al-Qur'ān reading learning. In implementing this research process, methods are used that are in harmony with the object of research, so the author uses a type of library research and is descriptive, comparative, or content analysis. In line with the type and nature of research, the data sources that I use are primary data sources, in an effort to collect data using the Library Study method. Data analysis used is qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of the study show that there are similarities and differences in the reading material between riwāyat Hafş Ibn Sulaimān al-Kūfiy and riwāyat Warsy 'Uśmān Ibn Sa'īd al-Mişrī as well as its implications for Al-Qur'an reading reading, namely the similarity in pronouncing makhārij al-hurūf and şifat al-surat. However, there are differences in the form of verbs, iśbat, dialect differences (lahjah). Thus the difference in qirā'āt is caused by 2 (two) aspects, namely the historical aspect and the biological aspect. Implications for Al-Qur'an reading learning which includes components such as goals, material, methods, teachers and students, media and evaluation.

This paper aims to find out the similarities and differences contained in the KTSP and the 2013 curriculum Arabic subjects Madrasah Aliyah from the aspect of goals, materials, and methods. As well as knowing the advantages and disadvantages of both curriculum. Types of research this is library research with a qualitative approach. Analysis of the data uses content analysis. Based on analysis concluded that in the KTSP and the 2013 Arabic Curriculum for Madrasah Aliyah, it has many similarities in aspects of purpose, material or method. It's just that the 2013 curriculum tries to complement its deficiencies in KTSP as in the subject matter, the 2013 curriculum is more detailed in describing the scope of the material in the form of KI and KD, besides that the 2013 curriculum does not only emphasize cognitive aspects only, but cognitive, psychomotor and affective aspects balanced and integrated into all subjects. Addition to that, if in the KTSP the learning approach used varies, then the 2013 curriculum uses a scientific approach.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari penjelasan tentang ragam sulukan wayang kulit purwa gaya Yogyakarta versi Timbul Hadi Prayitno, Hadi Sugito, dan Suparman. Penjelasan itu didapat dengan jalan mencari persamaan dan perbedaan sulukan tiga dalang itu. dalam mencari persamaan dan perbedaan sulukan tiga dalang tersebut. Dalam mencari sebab-sebab terjadinya perbedaan sulukan digunakan landasan pemikiran Koentjaraningrat mengatakan bahwa segala bentuk perubahan yang terjadi dalam tata kehidupan masyarakat di antaranya disebabkan oleh tiga faktor pokok yakni: (1) ketidakpuasan terhadap hasil yang telah ada, (2) kemampuan di dalam bidangnya, dan (3) keinginan mendapatkan imbalan. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa persamaan sulukan tiga dalang terletak pada pathet, jenis, fungsi, hubungan cakepan dengan lagu, hubungan gendhing dengan sulukan. Sementara itu perbedaan sulukan terletak pada: (1) jenis lagon, suluk, dan kawin terletak pada wilet. (2) Jenis ada-ada yakni perbedaan pada wilet dan cakepan dan letak pada lagu pokok. Kata kunci: ragam, sulukan, Yogyakarta.   ABSTRACT The Various Mood Song of Yogyakarta Shadow Puppet Theater: A Case Study on Timbul Hadiprayitno, Hadi Sugito, dan Suparman’s Work. This paper is intended to look for the explanations about the various kinds of puppet sulukan (mood song) in Yogyakarta style especially sulukan of Timbul Hadiprayitno, Hadi Sugito, and Suparman. The explanation was obtained by seeking similarities and differences of the three puppeteer’s sulukan. In order to search for similarities and differences of sulukan, the comparative approach was used. Moreover, in searching for the causes of differences of sulukan, the theoritical framework by Koentjaraningrat was used. It says that any changes happened in the governance of community life of which they are caused by three main factors, namely: (1) dissatisfaction to the existing results, (2) the capabilities in one’s fi eld, and (3) the desire to get rewards. The similarities to the three puppeteers’ sulukan lie on pathet, type, function, cakepan relationship with the song, and the relationship of gendhing with sulukan. Meanwhile, the differences of the three puppeteer’s sulukan are on: (1) the type of lagon, suluk, and kawin which lies in wilet. (2) the type of ada-ada, namely the difference lies in wilet and cakepan and the difference lies in the basic song, wilet, and cakepan. Keywords: mood song, pupputry, wayang
