There are many studies which implement and assess existing measurement manners and document the progress of entities towards the circular economy (CE) at various levels, or present or propose new possibilities of measurement. The majority of them refer to the micro level. The aim of this paper is to conduct a multidimensional comparative analysis of the implementation of circular economy by EU countries. After an in-depth critical analysis of the literature, CE indicators which were proposed by the European Commission were adopted as a basis. Owing to the research population-Member States of the European Union (EU-28), focusing on the said indicators was declared reasonable in all aspects. The classification of EU countries according to the level of their advancement in the concept of CE was adopted as a main research task. In order to do so, a relevant index of development of circular economy was created (IDCE). This will allow us, inter alia, to trace changes in the spatial differentiation of advancement of the EU countries in implementing CE over the years, to identify CE implementation leaders as well as countries particularly delayed in this regard. The comparative analysis was conducted by means of statistical methods. On the basis of the analyses, it was concluded that among all EU countries, those of the old EU are the most advanced in terms of CE. The analysis confirmed significant rising trends for IDCE only in the case of Belgium and The Netherlands.

In typical applications, genetic algorithms (GAs) process populations of potential problem solutions to evolve a single population member that specifies an ‘optimized’ solution. The majority of GA analysis has focused on these optimization applications. In other applications (notably learning classifier systems and certain connectionist learning systems), a GA searches for a population of cooperative structures that jointly perform a computational task. This paper presents an analysis of this type of GA problem. The analysis considers a simplified genetics-based machine learning system: a model of an immune system. In this model, a GA must discover a set of pattern-matching antibodies that effectively match a set of antigen patterns. Analysis shows how a GA can automatically evolve and sustain a diverse, cooperative population. The cooperation emerges as a natural part of the antigen-antibody matching procedure. This emergent effect is shown to be similar to fitness sharing, an explicit technique for multimodal GA optimization. Further analysis shows how the GA population can adapt to express various degrees of generalization. The results show how GAs can automatically and simultaneously discover effective groups of cooperative computational structures.

This study aims to analyse the household characteristics of dairy farmer, perception of biogas innovation, access of information, the meeting with extension workers and factors affecting biogas diffusion and adoption in Lembang Sub District. Lembang Sub District has a potential of 4 149 dairy farmer households as prospected biogas adopters. Suntenjaya and Cibodas villages were selected as the research sites. All of the population member (266 households) were the research respondents. Questionnaires consist of four independent variables include dairy farmers characteristic, perception of biogas, access of information, and the meeting with extension workers were used to collect primary data. Rank Spearman correlation test was used to analyse the data. Research results shows that motivation, complexity, compatibility, and observability has positive correlation with speed of adoption; and dairy farmers experiences, relative advantage, and and triability has positive correlation with diffusion; the access of information and meeting with extension workers do not correlate with biogas diffusion-adoption since the farmers has involved in the biogas program from an international foundation.

Keywords: diffusion, adoption, biogas, perception, inovation

Objectives: Worldwide the urolithiasis is the third most frequent urological disease affecting both males and females. In literature there are not recent Italian epidemiological data about stone disease. The objective of this study is the evaluation of current epidemiology of urolithiasis in Italy using the Health Search/CSD Longitudinal Patient Database (HS) database. Material and methods: An observational, descriptive, retrospective trial was conducted. Inclusion criteria were: family physician- assisted Italian living population member of HS database within 31 December 2012, both genders, age over 17 years, at least two years of clinical history recorded from the beginning the trial. Data were collected by HS database and elaborated by its software Millewin®. Results: In Italy prevalence of urolithiasis in 2012 was 4.14%, it was higher in males than in females (4.53% versus 3.78%) with a positive relation with increasing age. The highest prevalence rate of urolithiasis was reported in the region Campania (6.08%). The general incidence was 2.23 *1000, with the highest incidence in the region Sicilia (3.15 *1000). Incidence was higher in group age 65-74 years (3.18 *1000). Conclusions: In Italy the incidence and prevalence of urolithiasis is increasing with particular distribution in relation to gender, age and regional position.
