This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the revitalization program for Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Teacher's Deliberation of Course of Study (MGMP) as a medium to improve English teacher competency. The objectives of this study are (1) Analyzing the reaction of each participant to the English Subject Teacher Consultation activity in Pidie District. (2) Explain knowledge and skills regarding the theoretical and philosophical foundations of English subjects after participating in the English Subject Teacher Consultation activities in the Pidie District. (3) Analyze the motivation of each participant in the English Subject Teacher Meeting to transfer knowledge and skills into the English learning process. (4) Analyzing the impact of the activities of the English Subject Teachers Conference on the development of English teacher competencies in Pidie District. The research method applied in this study is evaluative research based on (Arikunto 2007: 222) evaluative research can be interpreted as a process carried out in order to determine policy by first considering the positive values and benefits of a program, as well as considering the processes and techniques that have been used to do a research. The results showed that each participant's positive reaction to the implementation of the program could significantly influence the increase in knowledge and skills for each participant / program participant in relation to the philosophical and theoretical basis of learning English in secondary schools. However, increasing knowledge and skills did not always have an impact significant at the practical level, namely the quality of the learning process carried out by teachers, participants in the MGMP revitalization program, in the classroom. Teachers still tend to use conventional patterns in the process of learning English. . In general, the implementation of the MGMP revitalization program has been able to improve the participants' knowledge and skills discourse on the philosophical and theoretical foundations of English learning. The obstacle that arises then is the lack of motivation of some participants to apply knowledge and skills in the context of their performance. The lack of motivation to apply this knowledge and skills has resulted in learning practices that have not changed much. This shows that the forum has not been able to effectively and optimally carry out its role and function as a means for the development and development of teaching professionalism.

Mechanical students need material in English subject that relevant with their department. However, most of the teachersused the materials that are general English to teach English in the mechanical department. Thus, in this research the writer did it toknow the students’ need. In this research, the samples are the students in the mechanical metal department. There are two classeswhich are 45 students. The writer took 15 students through technique sampling is sample random sampling. The instrument thatwriter used to take the data is questionnaires through open – ended questions. The students need in learning English can be seen inthree aspects: necessities, lacks, and wants. The first aspect is necessity, the finding is the students need English materials that are easyto be understood by them. They need the words of the text which are simple and easy to be understood. The second aspect is lack thatthe students’ lacks are they have fewer vocabularies, so they are difficult to understand the texts. The last aspect is wants; they wantto have fluency in speaking so they need to have more activities in speaking skill. Otherwise, the teacher rarely gave speaking skill inteaching and learning process. Thus, the teachers need to know what are the students need to be learned in their departments.

This research aims to know the perspective of Islamic students about English subject. It reveals the questions such as: 1) what is the perspective of Islamic studies students towards English Subject in State Islamic Institute Pontianak?, 2) how does English learning process help Islamic studies students in State Islamic Institute Pontianak enrich their field study knowledge?. The research used mixed method. To answers the first research question, survey was used as research method, and questioner was used as instrument. Meanwhile, to answer the second research question, qualitative approach was chosen as method to gain answer. Interview was used as data collecting technique. The finding found that Islamic education students had positive perception dealing with the importance of learning English. The result also showed that English learning process on most of students’ perspective had not been effective and it did not give much contribution in increasing students’ English ability which deals with their disciplines. In conclusion, positive perception of students about the importance of learning English was not facilitated enough by learning process. Workshops and seminars in the field of education has been widely implemented , but it is still rarely discussed in detail about creating instructional media . In addition , observations of teachers' competence of MGMP Madrasah Tsanawiah Kabupaten Madiun , it can be said that the competence of most teachers are still weak . Most teachers still have many obstacles in achieving the learning objectives. This condition as a background of this teachers' training on making attractive and long lasting media. The success of this program will be seen from (1) the existence of a positive change in attitude and a new understanding of teachers that English learning process can be more fun with the learning media ; (2) the emergence of understanding of the various media that attractive and long lasting in English subject ; and (3) the emergence of innovations in the application of learning media in the classroom

Abstract Purpose: This article aims to describe English learning in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era. This article also explains the importance of the Internet in the learning process and the importance of parents in the development of students in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era. Research methodology: This study used a descriptive method. Results: This study suggests that parents should motivate their children in this situation because the learning process is carried out at home, and only parents can directly monitor the learning process. Limitations: This study has limitations. It is the information of parents who guide their students in the learning process, especially English Subject in the Covid-19 pandemic. Contribution: The study is beneficial for teachers and parents to conduct a better learning strategy during Covid -19 pandemic.

ABSTRAKBahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa pengantar yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi diseluruh dunia. Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk pemula (beginners) adalah hal yang harus dilakukan sehingga bisa dijadikan bekal untuk anak dimasa depan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan bahasa Inggris sejak dini kepada anak-anak serta mampu meningkatkan motivasi serta rasa percaya diri anak-anak dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Salah satu aktivitas yang dilakukan adalah kegiatan Fun with English yang merupakan a recommended activity to motivate kids in learning English dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang beragam sehingga anak-anak tidak merasa jenuh bahkan bosan dalam proses belajar seperti ceramah, Think Pair Share, games serta lagu-lagu berbahasa Inggris. Dari kegiatan ini anak-anak SEKAMI menjadi merasa percaya diri, pembelajaran yang diberikanpun sangat disenangi oleh anak-anak. Saran bagi pemerhati bahasa Inggris adalah untuk lebih meningkatkan kreativitas melalui berbagai macam cara untuk membumikan bahasa Inggris di bumi nusantara. Kata kunci: fun with English; SEKAMI. ABSTRACTEnglish language is a medium language which used to communicate in all over the world. English learning for the beginners is the important thing that have to do so that it can be supplied for their future. The aim of this activity was to introduce English as early as possible to children and could enhance their motivation and their confidence in using English. One of the activity is Fun with English activity that is a recommended activity to motivate children in learning English by implementing various learning methods in order that the children will never get bored and saturated during learning process. These activities such as lectures, Think Pair Share, games and also English songs. From this activity, the children of SEKAMI become have their self confidence, they felt happy with the materials are given by their teacher. ­Abstrak: Tulisan ini secara spesifik memaparkan dampak metode pembelajaran daring bagi ketuntasan belajar siswa. Peristiwa Covid-19 yang terjadi awal tahun 2020 hingga sampai sekarang, masih menyebakan kesulitan bagi semua element. Imbas dari pandemi ini di sektor Pendidikan mengharuskan pembelajaran online dilaksanakan. Akibat dari penerapan pembelajaran daring ini, masih menyebabkan kesulitan bagi sebagai indvidu bahkan institusi karena masih belum lengkapnya pra-sarana dalam kegiatan pembelajara daring. Topik ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriftif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Hasil pada uraian ini mengemukakan bahwa pengertian ketuntasan belajar menurut Permendikbud adalah pencapaian kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan meliputi ketuntasan penguasaan substansi dan ketuntasan belajar dalam konteks kurun waktu belajar. Ketuntasan belajar peserta didik merupakan komponen keluaran yang diperoleh dari hasil suatu proses pembelajaran yang didukung oleh orang tua, guru dan lingkungan. Berhasil tidaknya pembelajaran daring bagi ketuntasan pembelajaran, diperlukan kerja sama semua komponen Pendidikan itu sendiri.Abstract: This paper specifically describes the impact of online learning methods on the completion of student learning. The Covid-19 event that occurred in early 2020 until now, still makes it difficult for all elements. The impact of this pandemic in the Education sector requires that online learning be implemented. As a result of the application of online learning in, still causes difficulties for as an individual even an institution because it is still incomplete pre-facilities in the activities of online learners. This topic is written using qualitative methods with a literature study approach. The results in this description suggest that the understanding of the completion of learning according to Permendikbud is the achievement of attitude competence. Knowledge, and skills include the completion of the mastery of substance and the completion of learning in the context of the study period. The completion of learning of learners is a component of the output obtained from the results of a learning process supported by parents, teachers and the environment. The success of online learning for the completion of learning, requires the cooperation of all components of Education itself.

This article deals with the training of Fun English Games Learning Method for English Teacher in MAS NU Batahan, This article shows several learning methods by using English Games funny and easy to understand, such as, Word Connect Application, Spelling Bee application, Stop the Clock Application, Typing Paragraphs for speed. This activity intends to enlarge some learning methods by using English Games for fun, and to give comprehending that English learning’s easy and enjoying. The method of this study used community development that collaborating theory and practicing in which using fun English games learning method in teaching English for English teacher MAS NU Batahan. The result shows that Fun English Games learning Method’s successfully applied in the classroom, the students are happy and can understand English learning easily and quickly through Fun English Games Method. It has benefit for teachers in teaching 4 skill, reading, writing, speaking and listening that must be mastered by students. In addition, School can use this method to improve the quality of learning in achieving very satisfactory results. Based on the explanation above can be concluded that Fun English Games learning Method for English teachers is very useful dan helpful in teaching and learning process.

The process of learning English in SMP N 2 Penebel class VII C showed that students experienced obstacles in speaking. It could be seen from result of observation, interview and pre-test. It was 2.70 which is categorized below the passing grade minimum criteria: 3.0. Researcher indicated that it was because they seemed to be having lack of motivation in the English learning process. The use of interactive video in learning is necessary in order to improve students' motivation in speaking. Action research design was accommodated to help their problems. The researcher offered three kinds of tests. The result of pre-test was 2.70. After pre-test, the researcher went into cycle 1 which succeeded in improving their speaking from 2.70 to 2.96. In cycle 2, there was improvement up to 3.31. The use of interactive video gave positive responses to the students. As the result, their speaking could be improved.

The objective of this study is to describe the perspective of English teachers about the 2013 curriculum, the implementation of English learning, the expectations of English teachers about the learning English. This research has been conducted at SMA Kartika VIII-1 Srengseng Sawah Jakarta Selatan It was a qualitative research that the researcher described the phenomenon happened and analysis it. The data was obtained by observation and interview. There are some steps as follow; First, Observation. It was done when the English teacher teach to the students; Second, Interview. It was taken when the English teacher taking a rest. The result of this research as follow: 1. The English teachers perspective about the concept of 2013 curriculum are positive; 2. The English teachers perspective about the implementation of learning English based on the 2013 curriculum was not maximal because there is no correspondence between the hours only 2 hours and the material taught by the English teacher; 3. English teachers expectation of learning English that is a change from 2 hours a week  to 4 hours  in a week.

The achievement of education through learning process is not able tobe separated with learning assessment. In accordance with this, Kemendikbud issues Permendikbud No. 23 Year 2016 governing the standard of assessment, one of which is the utilization of authentic assessment. This research purposed to describe authentic assessment implementation in English learning to the eleventh grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Tabanan. The subjects of this research were an English teacher and 67 students. The techniques utilized to collect the data were observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained were analysed by using qualitative data analysis. The result of this research showed that: (1) Authentic assessment was implemented in lesson plan and (2) The authentic assessment was implemented meaningfully and integrated in learning process. The assessment’s techniques used to assess each competency consist of:(a)observation for attitude competency, (b) most of the assignment for knowledge competency, and (c) performance, project, and portfolio for skills competency.The conclusion of this research is the authentic assessment in English teachingboth in the lesson plan and the learning process is well implemented. It is indicated by the positive opinion stated by the teacher and students towards the implementation of authentic assessment in the process of learning.
