(3) Analyze the motivation of each participant in the English Subject Teacher Meeting to transfer knowledge and skills into the English learning process. (4) Analyzing the impact of the activities of the English Subject Teachers Conference on the development of English teacher competencies in Pidie District. The research method applied in this study is evaluative research based on (Arikunto 2007: 222) evaluative research can be interpreted as a process carried out in order to determine policy by first considering the positive values and benefits of a program, as well as considering the processes and techniques that have been used to do a research. The results showed that each participant's positive reaction to the implementation of the program could significantly influence the increase in knowledge and skills for each participant / program participant in relation to the philosophical and theoretical basis of learning English in secondary schools. However, increasing knowledge and skills did not always have an impact significant at the practical level, namely the quality of the learning process carried out by teachers, participants in the MGMP revitalization program, in the classroom. Teachers still tend to use conventional patterns in the process of learning English. . In general, the implementation of the MGMP revitalization program has been able to improve the participants' knowledge and skills discourse on the philosophical and theoretical foundations of English learning. The obstacle that arises then is the lack of motivation of some participants to apply knowledge and skills in the context of their performance. The lack of motivation to apply this knowledge and skills has resulted in learning practices that have not changed much. This shows that the forum has not been able to effectively and optimally carry out its role and function as a means for the development and development of teaching professionalism.

Daguio. This study is based on Halliday’s framework of transitivity analysis to delve on the meaning of the story in the literary discourse. This paper used the simple random sampling among the short stories in the Grade 7 English Learning Material from the Department of Education. In addition, the story is divided into three parts according to the number of sentences. Subsequently, part of the story has been identified and selected as basis for the analysis through random selection process. Furthermore, the paper used all 15 sentences from the first portion of the short story to be analyzed and interpreted using the functional stylistics. Analyzing and interpreting a portion of the short story in the context of functional stylistics played an integral part for it provided a portion of in depth understanding and interpretation of how each process type works and functions. It is also evident that the distribution of process type varies in different yet meaningful ways. Thus, by examining the transitivity process in the text is indeed indispensable for it explained how the field of the situation is being constructed, and have clear idea how transitivity patterns reflected the nature of the text.

The study attempts to know the significant correlation between students’ Activities in STAD Model and their interest in learning English. This study was a correlational study designed to determine whether and how a set of variables had related to each other. The participants were 50 students in the first year of high school. The instruments used in this study were observation sheet and questionnaire. Observation sheet is used to find out the category of students’ activities in STAD model and give a questionnaire consisting of seven items to the students. SPSS was used to analyze the data. The score of product-moment by using SPSS, Rxy is (0,410): it showed there was a significant correlation between students’ activities in STAD model and their interest in learning English. Referring to the product-moment table, it shows that the correlation is “enough” because 0,401 placed between 0,400 – 0,599. In addition, the null hypothesis was rejected because r table is lower than r observation whether at 5% (0,279) or at 1 % (0,361) level of significance, meaning that there was a significant correlation between students’ activities in STAD model and their interest in learning English. So, it can be concluded that activities in STAD model can influence students’ interest because, in STAD model, students can learn the English learning material better.
