the existence of differences of view to education children character, and can be classified in several categories and theories. This difference is seen as some figures say families or tualah people are the most important in providing character education. Others argue sekolahlah that is most vital in respect of containers of character education. This article uses a qualitative approach, with the kind of Library Research. Therefore, the overall data focuses on books or papers relating to discussion of "rightmost character Education". From the results of the discussion and anlisa above, concrete conclusions can be taken, that the person in charge character education namely Educational Institutions not the independence of each other, but rather inherently. Solikodin Djaelani, Muchlas Samani dan Abdullah Nashih ‘Ulwan, first product reinforced by legislation which clearly explains the RI character education is the shared responsibility of educational institutions.

This study tries to unravel the problems of street children related to character building, especially in the aspects of personal and social skills. So we need a model of character education that is considered suitable to be implemented in street children. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods. The results of this study conclude that, Among the character education models that can be implemented on street children are problem-based learning models, emphasizing more on the application of problem solving methods or problem solving which by John Dewey consists of six learning steps as follows: 1) formulating problems; 2) analyze the problem; 3) formulate hypotheses; 4) collect data; 5) hypothesis testing; and 6) formulate problem solving recommendations.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. This study aims to elaborate the strengthening of Islamic moderateism through Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education. The researcher describes the behavior of Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education practiced by Islamic educational institutions as a basis for strengthening religious moderatism. The role of Islamic education institutions in applying moderate Islamic understanding in this disruption era is necessary. Because, students are faced with conditions of changing the order of values ​​and traditions that are very fast and unexpected. Through a descriptive-qualitative approach, data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Through the frame of character education theory, the data analyzed using the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Apparently, Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah's character education at MTs. Miftahul Huda Bulungan Pakis Aji Jepara was developed through teaching the value of tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh and i'tidal. The implementation as culture of madrasa, such as the obligation to pray before starting the lesson, orderly running pickets, praying dzuhur in congregation, wearing school uniforms, preserving ancestral culture, familiarizing greetings, sympathetic care routinely for yatama and dhuafa, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasa environment, and a ban on littering the classroom walls. The limitation of this study has specific scope. That is the focus on strengthening religious moderateism in Islamic educational institutions which are under the shelter of the LP. Maarif NU Jepara Regency. There are still gaps for other researchers to conduct development research outside of that scope.

The various verses of the Quran explain that zikr and Tafakkur  are always related. They should have become the spirit of the education system so that the graduates could possess a balanced zikr and Tafakkur . On the contrary, education is more focused on the development of knowledge. The dichotomy of knowledge affects education where ideally Islamic education includes zikr and Tafakkur  education. Therefore, the integration of zikr and Tafakkur  is something important, urgent, and beneficial for the improvement of the nation's morality. The purpose of this study is to ensure the importance of the concept of zikr and Tafakkur  in the perspective of the Qur'an by providing thought on the importance of the integration of zikr and Tafakkur  in Islamic education so that it could be the basis for the development of Islamic education. The approach used in this study was the qualitative approach by employing the library research method. The integration of zikr and Tafakkur  in Islamic educational institutions can be realized if the Qur’an is made as to the main base of knowledge source by researching, understanding, and deepening the science and technology based on Qur’an.

AbstractThis study is motivated by the rampant violence among students. Islamic Education (PAI) as part of character education is seen to give a hand in influencing students’ attitudes and actions. This study aims to answer the question on how to shape the potential radicalism in the material books of PAI for Elementary Schools. Through qualitative approach with library research method, the study found the value of radicalism in the Islamic education material. The radical value which may affect the attitude of the students is the attitude of religious militancy driven by the spirit of jihad and towards other group / faiths, as well as narrow religious understanding. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh maraknya tindak kekerasan yang dilakukan oleh para pelajar. Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter dipandang ikut memberikan andil dalam mempengaruhi sikap dan tindakan siswa. Penelitian ini dimakudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan bagaimana bentuk potensi radikalisme dalam materi buku Ajar PAI Sekolah Dasar. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library recearch, penelitian ini menemukan adanya nilai radikalisme dalam materi pembejaran pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Dasar. Nilai radikal yang dapat mempengaruhi sikap siswa yaitu sikap militansi keagamaan, yang didorong oleh ajaran jihat dan anti terhadap kelompok/penganut agama lain, serta pemahaman keagamaan yang sempit.

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) have become character-building institutions trusted by the Indonesian people; however, as educational institutions, pesantren must adapt to the national education curriculum which can be challenging. The purpose of this study was to critically identify and analyze the implementation of the educational curriculum at the pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo, based on the educational philosophy point of view. A qualitative approach was employed, using the hermeneutics method. Interpretation, description, synthetic analysis, internal coherence, holistic, reflection, and heuristics were used. The results indicated that the pesantren Al Falah Gorontalo combined two educational curriculums. Analysis from the educational philosophy perspective found that the implementation of education was based on essentialism educational philosophical ideas, which assume that education is full of flexibility and helps students to adhere to noble values, spiritual characteristics, and human guidance to achieve a more noble life. AbstractThis study discusses the comparison between the existence and the implementation of Islamic Education in Indonesia and Malaysia both fromreligious educational institutions and public educational institutions. The main problem focuses on: what are the issues that covered equality and differences based on the existence and implementation, and also what matters are dominantly and substantially considered as supporting factors for the cause of those two points (existence and implementation). Methodologically, this study uses library research with qualitative approach as sources in writing. The study describes the policy from the two countries toward Islamic Education including their goals and objectives. In addition, this study is also exploring the development of Islamic Education in the two countries based on the historical facts and current situation. The result of this study indicates that Islamic education plays an important role in developing both nations, and as such, it is granted a special position in the national educational laws of both of these states.AbstrakStudi ini membahas perbandingan antara keberadaan dan implementasi Pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dan Malaysia baik dari lembaga pendidikan agama maupun lembaga pendidikan umum. Masalah utamanya berfokus pada: isu apasaja yang mencakup persamaan dan perbedaan berdasarkan keberadaan dan implementasi, dan juga hal-hal yang secara dominan dan secara substansial dianggap sebagai faktor penunjang penyebab dua poin tersebut (keberadaan dan implementasi). Secara metodologis, studi ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif sebagai sumber dalam penulisan. Penelitian ini menggambarkan kebijakan dari kedua negara terhadap Pendidikan Islam termasuk tujuan dan sasaran mereka. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi perkembangan Pendidikan Islam di kedua negara berdasarkan fakta sejarah dan situasi saat ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam memegang peran penting dalam mengembangkan kedua negara, dan karena itu diberikan posisi khusus dalam undangundang pendidikan nasional di kedua negara ini.

Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas relevansi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis pengarusutamaan gender. Sesuai dengan Instruksi Presiden nomor 9 tahun 2000, sudah semestinya setiap lembaga pemerintah menerapkan pengarusutamaan gender sebagai landasan membuat kebijakan dalam pembangunan. Hal tersebut juga berlaku di lembaga pendidikan, di mana pengarusutamaan gender sudah harus diintegrasikan atau setidaknya berkorelasi dengan kurikulum pembelajaran. Salah satu mata pelajaran wajib yang perlu mengintegrasikan konsep kesetaraan gender dalam pembelajarannya adalah pendidikan agama islam, karena dalam banyak kasus menyebutkan pemahaman agama yang tidak sensitif gender seringkali membawa dampak sosial yang merugikan perempuan, menghadirkan stereotipe, diskriminasi, marginalisasi dan melanggengkan budaya patriarki di masyarakat. Jenis penelitian ini berbasis kepustakaan atau library research dengan metode deskriptif-analitis.  Adapun hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengarusutamaan gender sangat urgen dimasukkan dalam kurikulum pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam karena terbukti membawa dampak signifikan dalam perubahan cara pandang pendidik dan peserta didik.Abstract: This article focuses on the relevance of learning Islamic religious education based on gender mainstreaming. In accordance with Presidential Instruction number 9 of 2000, every government agency should have implemented gender mainstreaming as a basis for making policies in development. This also applies in educational institutions, where gender mainstreaming must be integrated or at least correlated with the learning curriculum. One of the compulsory subjects that need to integrate the concept of gender equality in learning is Islamic religious education, because in many cases it is stated that the understanding of religion that is not gender sensitive often brings social impacts that are detrimental to women, presenting stereotypes, discrimination, marginalization and perpetuates a patriarchal culture in society. Sources of data were obtained from books and journal articles related to the research focus. The results show that gender mainstreaming is very urgent to be included in the Islamic religious education curriculum because it has been proven to have a significant impact in changing the perspectives.
