Leaching of aluminum from minerals (hornblende, biotite, mica, microcline, labradorite, albite) and rocks (granite, tuff sandstone, schist) by the acidified river water was experimentally studied. The relationship between aluminum concentration and solution acidity lg[Al] = A – BpH in which slope coefficient В has roughly the same value for all samples, equal 0.740.09, was established. It was drawn a conclusion on prevailing of polymeric hydroxocomplexes of aluminum into solution. The critical pH value below which concentration of dissolved aluminum exceeds the maximum allowable concentration (MAC) for fishery water bodies makes 6.60.3.

At the present stage of development, the entire world industry has faced the problem of rational use of renewable natural resources, in particular the most efficient ways of wastewater treatment and the use of accumulated waste in the production process as a secondary raw material. In particular, the alcohol industry, as one of the components of food, medical, chemical and various industries, leads to the formation of huge amounts of waste, including wastewater. The food industry, like any other industry, has a negative impact on the environment. Water bodies are the most affected by the food industry. Almost the first place in terms of water consumption per unit of production is the production of alcohol. Consumption of large amounts of water leads to the formation of wastewater, which is highly polluted and adversely affects the environment. Due to the high chemical and biological consumption of oxygen, specific color and odor, suspended solids, low pH value, the purification of such waste in the filtration fields and discharge into water bodies is not possible. The purpose of our work is: 1) conducting the analysis of the alcohol industry potential in Ukraine in recent years, and methods of waste disposal as a potential source for the development of bioenergy. 2) environmental aspects of the alcohol industry modernization at present stage of development and implementation of modern wastewater treatment technologies.

In view of environmental and economic issues, co-production technology with pulp as the major product is an important developmental direction in biorefinery. In this paper, high-yield pulp was prepared by hydrothermal pretreatment with controlled pH and subsequent mechanical refining using corn stover as raw material. By adding acetic acid or sodium hydroxide, the properties of the hydrolysate and the pulp were altered. Reducing the pH during hydrothermal pretreatment resulted in more cellulose and hemicellulose being released, while less lignin was released. Increased pH led to more lignin being released, while dissolution of carbohydrates did not change significantly. A maximum pulp yield at pH 5.84 of hydrolysate was obtained when 3.0% sodium hydroxide was used. The strength of pulp is highly related to the removal of lignin during hydrothermal pretreatment. The relationship between pH value in hydrothermal pretreatment and the physical properties of the pulp was established and could be further used for prediction and as guidance for process control. Moreover, the results could be used to develop technologies for industrial utilization of agricultural straw to co-generate fiber and other bio-based products.

Abstract. The aim of this work is to investigate the relationship between indicators of cicatricial digestion and linearity of cows. Methods. The research was carried out in the breeding enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region on the livestock of Ural-type cows. Cicatricial fluid was collected with an oropharyngeal rubber probe, and a wooden yaw was also used. Cicatricial content was assessed at the Chelyabinsk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory. The pH value was determined by the electrometric method, VFA – in the Markgam apparatus, ammonia – by the microdiffusion method. Ciliates – in Goryaev’s chamber and under a microscope, bacteria – under a microscope with the addition of sodium chloride solution. Statistical data processing was carried out in the Microsoft Office Excel 2010 program. Results. In terms of the number of ciliates and bacteria in the rumen fluid, the Montwick Chieftain cows, characterized by high productive qualities, had an advantage. In terms of pH and VFA, the Vis Back Ideal line was the best. There were no significant differences between the groups in terms of the amount of ammonia in the rumen. The best animals from the point of view of influence on cicatricial metabolism were the animals of the Vis Back Ideal and Montwick Chieftain lineage. Scientific novelty. Studies have shown that linearity is associated with cicatricial digestion in cows. The relationship of bull lines with indicators of cicatricial metabolism of cows has been determined for the first time. The food in the rumen is digested due to the action of bacteria, ciliates, and fungi. An environment has been created in the rumen for the active development of microflora. Bacteria are able to synthesize amino acids and vitamins. The proventriculus can contain up to 50 species of ciliates.

On account of industrialization and increasing population, the water bodies get polluted by means of degradable and non-degradable substances. In 21st century, it is necessary to maintain a healthy environment especially water bodies for the survival of not the aquatic animals but also for healthy human life. Recent advances suggest that the issues related to water quality could be resolved by using nanoparticles and nano-filtration membrane methods from the development of nanotechnology. In this research, attempt to remove heavy metals from Chithrapuzha River water at Cochin bar mouth (S1) and Fact barge jetty (S2) using Fe2O3 prepared via green synthesis using Egg albumin and Aloe vera. Our results provoke that, the synthesis of Fe2O3 nanoparticle is cost-effective and eco-friendly and also good in nano-regime. Results of filtration studies showed that Fe2O3 nanoparticles remove heavy metals from Chithrapuzha River water and also increases the DO content which helps the survival of aquatic life.

Abstract Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) treatment with anaerobic landfill bioreactor utilizes landfill as a place of biodegradation and produces methane gas which can be used as renewable alternative energy source. Anaerobic landfill bioreactor technology is a landfill development method that can increase waste degradation and increase biogas production. The increase of biogas and the removal of pollutants from leachate needs to pay attention to the factors that influence the success of anaerobic landfill bioreactor, including pH value, temperature, water content, and COD concentration after recirculation, and methane production. The relationship between these factors was discussed in depth in this paper. The method used is a narrative review where metadata is obtained from Google Scholar and Web of Science. This study explains the development of an anaerobic landfill bioreactor and conducts a synthesis for future research development plans by leachate recirculation.

In the article, in order to identify the generalized role of changes that occurred in the Psel River basin with such climatic indicators as air temperature, amount of precipitation, their form of precipitation, the structure of water bodies feeding, as well as water flow in the modern period, the average water balance for a long-term period was calculated the Psel river basin near the town of Gadyach. In general, the water balance equation shows the ratio of water input and consumption within a river basin, taking into account changes in its reserves over a selected time interval and allows one to assess the relationship of its individual components. In the article identifies changes in the ratio between the inflow (amount of precipitation) and consumption of water (total evaporation and runoff) for two periods – the climatic norm of 1961-1990 and modern 1990-2019. Analysis of the temporal dynamics of the water balance components of the Psel river basin showed that the values of the water balance components within the Psel river basin near the town of Gadyach in the modern period have decreased in comparison with the period of the climatic norm – the amount of precipitation by 6,2%, water flow by 17,5%, evapotranspiration by 1,8%. But, analyzing the relationship between the inflow and outflow of water in the basin for the two study periods 1961-1990 and 1990-2019, it can be stated that during the period of the climatic norm, the percentage of water flow from the total precipitation was greater (coefficient water flow 16.2%) than in the modern period (coefficient water flow 14.2%). With regard to total evaporation in water-balance ratios, its share in the water-balance ratio has increased over the modern period (1990-2019). If during the period of climatic normal (1961-1990) the aridity coefficient was 83.8%, then in the modern period, it is 85.8%. That is, the “redistribution” of the water volumes of atmospheric precipitation took place towards the total evaporation with a decrease in the volume of water used to form the water runoff. For the basin of the river Psel – the city of Gadyach in the modern period on the average ≈ 11 mm (or ≈ 130000000 m3) evaporate instead of replenishment of water resources. In the previous period of 1961-1990, on the contrary, ≈ 12 mm (or 136000000 m3) did not evaporate, but flowed into the water bodies of the basin.

In this study, pH sensors were successfully fabricated on a fluorine-doped tin oxide substrate and grown via hydrothermal methods for 8 h for pH sensing characteristics. The morphology was obtained by high-resolution scanning electron microscopy and showed randomly oriented flower-like nanostructures. The TiO2 nanoflower pH sensors were measured over a pH range of 2–12. Results showed a high sensitivity of the TiO2 nano-flowers pH sensor, 2.7 (μA)1/2/pH, and a linear relationship between IDS and pH (regression of 0.9991). The relationship between voltage reference and pH displayed a sensitivity of a 46 mV/pH and a linear regression of 0.9989. The experimental result indicated that a flower-like TiO2 nanostructure extended gate field effect transistor (EGFET) pH sensor effectively detected the pH value.
