ENGLISHSnacking behavior is very inherent in elementary school pupils. This study aims to describe the behavior of student’s snacking in elementary schools in the study location. The type of this research is descriptive one. The samples of this research were students of 5th grade. The research used purposive sampling. The number of samples included 68 students. The data in the research consisted of the habits of children's snacking at school and other habits related to snacking behavior. The data were obtained from survey by using questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of students ate snacks at school. Students had breakfast and they did not bring food to school. The student spends averagely IDR 4,000-IDR 5,000.00 to buy snacks per day. Some students buy snacks in the cafeteria or vendors around the school. The students buy snacks averagely 2 times a day during school breaks. Most students usually washed their hands before eating, however some students ever get sick after consuming snacks. Almost all elementary school students in the study area buy snacks even though they are accustomed to have breakfast. Food snacks are also widely bought by students who did not bring food to school. INDONESIAPerilaku jajan sangat melekat pada anak sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perilaku jajan siswa di Sekolah Dasar dilokasi studi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 68 siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi kebiasaan jajan anak di sekolah dan kebiasaan lain yang berhubungan dengan kebiasaan jajan. Data diperoleh dari hasil pengisian kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengonsumsi jajanan di sekolah. Siswa terbiasa mengonsumsi sarapan dan tidak membawa bekal makanan ke sekolah. Rata-rata siswa menghabiskan uang sebesar Rp4.000,00-Rp5.000,00 per hari untuk membeli makanan jajanan. Sebagian siswa membeli jajanan di kantin atau penjaja di sekitar sekolah. Rata-rata siswa jajan 2 kali dalam sehari pada waktu istirahat sekolah. Sebagian besar siswa terbiasa mencuci tangan sebelum makan, meskipun demikian sebagian siswa pernah sakit setelah mengonsumsi jajanan. Hampir semua Siswa SD di lokasi studi membeli makanan jajanan meskipun  terbiasa makan pagi. Makanan jajanan juga banyak dibeli oleh siswa yang tidak membawa bekal makanan ke sekolah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan realisasi kesantunan dan penyimpangan berbahasa siswa kelas 5 SD di kecamatan Tamalanrea kota Makassar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Kecamatan Tamalanrea Makassar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 SD Inpres Tamalanrea 1, SD Inpres Tamalanrea 3, dan SD Inpres Tamalanrea 4. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan rekaman. Peneliti mengolah data secara kualitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bentuk percakapan kesantunan dan penyimpangan berbahasa. This study aims to describe the realization of politeness and language deviations in 5th grade elementary school students in the Tamalanrea district, Makassar city. This research was conducted in elementary schools (SD) in Tamalanrea District, Makassar. The subjects of this study were 5th grade students of SD Inpres Tamalanrea 1, SD Inpres Tamalanrea 3, and SD Inpres Tamalanrea 4. Data collection techniques in this study using observation and recording. The researcher processed the data qualitatively. This research produces conversational forms of politeness and language deviations.

This study aims to analyze the factors of mathematics learning difficulties in terms of mathematical connection skills in Banyuwangi, Bandongan, Magelang Elementary Schools. This research is a kind of descriptive research. The population in this study were all 5th grade elementary school students in the Banyuwangi sub-district. The sample of this study was all 5th grade students of all Banyuwangi villages which numbered 64 students. The sampling technique from the sampling study was saturated because the entire population was used in this study. The method of data collection is done by using diagnostic tests of mathematical connection skills, student interviews, and teacher observation. The research procedure begins with the preparation stage, then the implementation, and analysis / reflection. The results showed that the factors of mathematics learning difficulties in terms of the mathematical connection ability of elementary school students in Banyuwangi Subdistrict, the average value of the overall percentage showed a figure of 57.8% as the highest number, which is located in the low category. The percentage of categories is very low at 20.6%, moderate category 12.8%, and high category 8.9%. These results are supported by the results of student interviews and documentation of values that are in line with the results of the test. So, the ability to connect mathematics in elementary schools throughout the Banyuwangi Village is included in the low category. 93.6% of students find it difficult to find relationships from representations of systematic concepts and procedures. 59.3% of students have difficulty understanding the relationships between mathematical topics. 43.8% of students have not been able to use mathematics in solving problems in everyday life. 53.1% of students find it difficult to understand equivalent concept representations. 42.2% of students find it difficult to find a relationship between procedures with one another that is equal. 54.7% of students have difficulty using the connection between mathematics and mathematics itself and with other sciences.

The development of physical fitness in elementary schools is an important matter. This will also determine whether these students will grow and develop optimally. One way that students can train physically with circuit games. The purpose of this study was to study circuit play on fitness in elementary schools in 2015. The method in this study was an experimental method that uses 40-meter Fast Tracking norms, calming elbows, lying down (sitting 30 seconds), jumping upright, running distance far (600 meters). This article discusses how to improve physical classes. The results of the findings of this article can be used as additional references in improving the ability of elementary school students which can be practiced during physical learning and sports extracurricular activities.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bakat siswa sekolah dasar (SD) pada cabang olahraga panahan di Kabupaten Manokwari. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SD negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Manokwari. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria: (1) SD negeri dan swasta unggulan (panahan), (2) siswa yang mengikuti program pembinaan panahan Indosat, (3) sampel berjumlah 160 anak yang terdiri dari 80 laki-laki dan 80 anak perempuan, (4) siswa yang bersedia menjadi sampel dengan mengisi surat pernyataan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes dan pengukuran, yang meliputi: kekuatan otot perut (sit-up/minute), kekuatan otot pung-gung (back up/minute), kekuatan otot lengan (pull strength), kekuatan otot tungkai (leg strength), kekuatan otot togok (back strength), daya tahan erobik (multistage), dan keterampilan memanah (jarak 20 meter). Analisis data menggunakan rumus T-Skor. Data diolah kemudian ditemukan hasil total skor yang seterusnya dimasukan ke rumus pengkategorian untuk diklasifikasikan. Hasil penelitian menun-jukkan bahwa bakat siswa SD pada olahraga panahan, untuk: (1) anak laki-laki sangat baik (22.5%), baik (22.5%); (2) Anak perempuan sangat baik (15%), baik (30%). Penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa terdapat 45% siswa laki-laki berada di atas baik atau berbakat dan 45% siswa perempuan berada di atas baik atau berbakat.   IDENTIFYING THE ARCHERY TALENT OF ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IN MANOKWARI REGENCY Abstract This study is aimed to reveal the talent in archery of the students of elementary schools in Manokwari Regency. This study was a descriptive study. The method used was survey. The population was students of public and private elementary schools in Manokwari Regency. The data collection technique used was purposive sampling technique with the following criteria: (1) top public and private elementary schools (archery), (2) students who joined Indosat archery training program, (3) the sample was 160 students which consisted of 80 male and 80 female, (4) students who were willing to be the sample made written statements. The data collection instruments were test and measurement, including: abdominal muscles strength (sit-up/minute), back muscles strength (back up/minute), arm muscles strength (pull strength), leg muscles strength (leg strength), trunk muscles strength (back strength), aerobic stamina (multistage), and archery skill (20 meter distance). The data analysis technique used the T-score formula. The data were processed and then the total score was discovered and put into a categorization formula to be classified. The research results show that elementary school students’ talent in archery is as follows: (1) male students talent is very good (22.5%), good (22.5%), (2) female students’ talent is very good (15%), good (30%). This study reveals that 45%  male students 45% female students are talented, or more than good. Key words: talent identification, elementary school students, archery.

In an effort to better understand aggregate patterns in the way elementary school students are assigned to classes, we conduct a careful analysis of observed classroom assignment outcomes in the 5th grade in North Carolina elementary schools. First, we model the probability that a pair of students are classmates as a function of the characteristics of that pair of students. This novel methodological technique enables us to directly observe the degree to which actual assignment patterns differ from what might be expected under random assignment for a wide variety of student characteristics. Second, we analyze patterns in classroom assignment and discuss the implications of these patterns. We show that classroom assignments tend to deviate from random assignment in a way that tends to group similar students and that these deviations tend to be greatly magnified in Magnet schools. Importantly, we find evidence that administrators sort students based on attributes not normally observable by researchers. These findings have important implications for researchers using value-added modeling (VAM) techniques. Finally, we find that classroom assignment patterns are generally stable across the racial, income, and geographic characteristics of schools.

[Bahasa]: Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang cocok digunakan untuk operasi perkalian adalah metode jarimatika. Metode ini diberikan kepada siswa SD di Kefamenanu mengingat berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Kefamenanu telah memiliki empat perguruan tinggi namun masih banyak siswa yang belum memiliki kemampuan berhitung cepat. Kelebihan metode jarimatika adalah tidak memerlukan alat peraga dan hafalan karena perhitungan dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan jari tangan sehingga diharapkan operasi hitung perkalian dapat lebih mudah dipahami, menyenangkan, dan tidak membebani memori otak siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung siswa sekolah dasar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SDN Neonbat Kefamenanu, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) dengan subyek pengabdian seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 60 orang. Pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop yang dibagi menjadi 2 hari. Pelaksanaan hari pertama fokus pada review kemampuan dasar siswa yang meliputi perkalian 1-5 dan dilanjutkan dengan perkenalan teknik berhitung cepat dengan jarimatika untuk perkalian 6-10 dan 11-15. Pengabdian dilanjutkan pada hari kedua yaitu review materi pada hari sebelumnya dan penyampaian teknik berhitung cepat untuk kelompok 16-20 yang diakhiri dengan pemberian latihan. Kegiatan pengabdian tidak hanya berhenti pada workshop tetapi dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan terhadap siswa yang dipilih sebanyak 20 orang. Kegiatan pendampingan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada pre-testsebesar 55,84 dan pada post test sebesar 75. Kata Kunci: berhitung cepat; metode jarimatika; perkalian; sekolah dasar [English]: One of the appropriate methods to learn multiplication is Jarimatika. It was given to elementary school students in Kefamenanu which, based on data from statistical central agency (BPS), has four colleges but there are still many students who do not have rapid counting skills. The advantage of this method is not requiring learning tools and memorization because calculations are done by utilizing the fingers so that the expected counting operation of multiplication can be more easily understood, enjoyable, and does not overload students’ memory. The purpose of this community service program was to improve the counting skills of elementary school students. It was held at SDN Neonbat Kefamenanu, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) involving 60 5th-grade students. The program was carried out in two-day workshop. The first day focused on the review of students ' basic ability which includes multiplication 1-5 and continued with the introduction of quick counting techniques with Jarimatika for multiplication 6-10 and 11-15. The second day was to review the previous day and introduce the rapid counting technique for multiplication 16-20. This program did not only end with the workshop but also continued with the assistance of 20 selected students. This assistance provided a positive impact on the results students get which can be seen from the increasing average score: 55,84 in the pre-test then increased to 75 in the post-test. Background: Health promotion is an effort to distribute health messages to all levels of society. In order for the achievement of the main purpose of health promotion , media or tools are needed so  health promotion becomes effective and efficient. The lack of availability of health promotion media especially in elementary schools is still low, so that it affects the low condition of student knowledge and attitudes in healthy behaviors. Purpose: This study was aimed to determine the availability of health promotion media in elementary schools (SD) in Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. Methods: This study was conducted on December 2017 to July 2018 with a total sample of 31 elementary schools. The study uses a descriptive design that is described in depth about the availability of health promotion media in elementary schools. Results: The results showed that out of 31 elementary schools located in Kramatwatu sub-district, it was found that 64.5% of elementary schools had health promotion media, 29.0% of elementary schools stated that the type of health promotion media were posters, 19.4% were available as health promotional media in book form. A total of 38.7% stated that the number of health promotion media was lacking, 25.8% of the number of health promotion media was sufficient. The health promotion media that are most often accessed by elementary school students were books (67.7%). Conclusion: the availability of health promotion media in elementary schools of Kramatwatu District is still categorized as low.

If we agreed that human beings and their thoughts are the products of an educational process that they obtain, it can be said that the nature and behavior of humans that damage the environment are caused by the education that they got less optimal in strengthenig environmental wisdom. Because of that the lesson of Islamic Education should be able to be optimally given early for children, such as children of primary school. Environmental-oriented of Islamic Education needs to be given to students such as teaching them about the importance of caring for and preserving the environment and its functions. The focus of this paper is conceptual discussion of environmental oriented Islamic education in elementary schools concerning the basis, significance and implementation. Problem that want to be revealed through this paper: First, in Islam, what underlies the importance of Islamic education with environmental wisdom given to elementary school students? Second, why does Islam strongly emphasize the importance of strengthening environmental wisdom through Islamic education? Third, how should Islamic education with environmental wisdom given to elementary school students?
