This research aims to determine the effect of the reporting system and the clarity of the budget target on the accountability of the performance of Aceh Government Agencies, the formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an effect on the reporting system and clarity of budget targets on the accountability of Aceh Government performance both simultaneously and partially.Data collection uses a questionnaire, and is analyzed qualitatively and converted into quantitative data using a Likert Scale. Data analysts to see the effect of dependent variables with independent variables using analysis of multiple linear regression equations. The population of this study amounted to 84 respondents, who were examined by the Head of Section (Head of Section) and Head of Division (Head) in Aceh Government Agencies. The results of the study found that the reporting system and the clarity of budget targets simultaneously had a significant effect on the performance of the Aceh Government. The partial reporting system has a significant effect on the accountability of the performance of Aceh Government Agencies. Clarity of budget targets partially has a significant effect on the accountability of the performance of Aceh Government Agencies. The reporting system has more dominant influence on the accountability of the performance of Aceh Government Agencies. It is expected that in the future the Aceh Government will pay more attention to the clarity of the budget goals in budgeting, because the results of the research regression coefficients have the smallest effect on the accountability of the performance of Aceh Government agencies in clarity of budget targets, with the hope that these variables will have greater influence on the accountability of Agency performance The Aceh Government in the future.

Purpose The focus of this perspective paper is to provide new directions in the ontology of thinking about outcome variables by observational analysis of past and linking it to the present research. Design/methodology/approach This perspective paper follow a critical review approach that is reflective and speculative in its orientation. Findings Outcome variables are assumed to serve as the dependent variables which are observed and measured by changing independent variables. It is argued that there would certainly be more and innovative concerted efforts in the future that would focus on non-conventional measures as outcome variables. These efforts would help researchers better understand the contribution of tourism activities to well-being of stakeholders. By doing so, success in tourism can be ensured. Originality/value Proposing, in addition to conventional outcome variables, new/possible outcome variables to enrich research.

The most forward elements of the bureaucracy, dealing directly with farmers is agricultural extensions. Their presence is very crucial in determining the successful of development activities of farmers. The objectives of this research are (1) to investigate the influence between emotional intelligence and motivation toward agricultural extensions’ performance; (2) to investigate influence of emotional intelligence and motivation partially toward agricultural extension’s performance; (3) to prove that emotional intelligence has a dominant influence compared to motivation toward agricultural extensions’ performance. This survey research was done toward agricultural extensions at Agricultural Office of Tanggamus District. Analytical technique used in this research was multiple regressions to find out the influence of independent variables (X) which was examined simultaneously as well as partially toward dependent variables (Y).Based on the result of F-Test it is proved that independent variables affect significantly toward performance variable (Y), so that the first hypothesis is accepted. In other hand, based on T-test, it is proved that X variables partially affect significantly toward the Y variables so that the second hypothesis is accepted. Independent variables which affect dominantly is motivation variable not emotional intelligence so that the third hypothesis is rejected. Keywords:       emotional intelligence, motivation, agriculture extension

The use of categorical variables in regression involves the application of coding methods. The purpose of this paper is to describe how categorical independent variables can be incorporated into regression by virtue of two coding methods: dummy and effect coding. The paper discusses the uses, interpretations, and underlying assumptions of each method. In general, overall results of the regression are unaffected by the methods used for coding the categorical independent variables. In any of the methods, the analysis tests whether group membership is related to the dependent variables. Both methods yield identical R2 and F. However, the interpretations of the intercept and regression coefficients depend on what coding method has been applied and whether the groups have equal sample sizes.

The Bender Visual-motor Gestalt Test and Beery's Developmental Test of Visual-motor Integration were administered to 51 educable mentally retarded boys ranging in age from 72 to 161 mo. These scores were compared with scores boys received on three gross motor tasks by computing simple correlation coefficients and multiple regression coefficients with Bender and Beery's tests as dependent variables. The simple rs were similar but order of inclusion of independent variables in the regression analysis suggests differences.
