The research objectives are as follows: (1) To determine the level of efficiency in the use of seed, fertilizer and labor production factors in corn farming in Warinta Village, Pasarwajo Sub-district, Buton Regency; and (2) To find out the great benefits of corn farming in Warinta Village, Pasarwajo Sub-district, Buton Regency. The population in this study were all farmers engaged in maize in Warinta Village, Pasarwajo Sub-district, Buton Regency, amounting to 32 people because the population was less than 100 and the sample was taken by the census. To estimate the production function of maize farming, the frontier production function equation model is used as follows: Ln Y = β0 + β1lnX1 + β2lnX2 + β3lnX3 + e and to calculate the price efficiency, the production function used is: NPMX = PX or NPMX / PX = 1. The conclusions of the results of the study are: (1) Large factor prices efficiency of labor production amounted to 0.8670. There needs to be a reduction in labor outpouring factors so that efficient use of labor can be achieved; (2) The efficiency of the price of fertilizer production factor is 11.1422. It is necessary to add fertilizer production factors so that the efficiency of fertilizer use can be achieved; (3) The amount of efficiency in the price of seed production factors is 3.9604. Need for additional seed production factors so that efficient use of seedlings is achieved; and (4) The average income of a one-time hybrid corn farmer in Warinta Village, Pasarwajo District, Buton Regency is IDR 5,923,543.88 with an average total revenue of IDR 7,361,046.88 and the total cost incurred in the amount of IDR 1,437 .502.99.  Keywords: corn farming, price efficiency

Harvest area and production of cassava in Pati Regency at 2014 are enhancement, but productivity of cassava has decrease.The purpose of this study to determine the technical efficiency, price efficiency and the economic efficiency of the use of factors of production in cassava farming in Pati regency. The independent variables in this study are land area, labor, fertilizer, and seed. While the production of cassava as the dependent variable. The analytical method used is the analysis of technical efficiency, price efficiency and economic efficiency with software frontier 41c tools. The results showed that the use of factors of production in cassava farming in Pati regency yet achieved technical efficiency, price efficiency and economic efficiency. The advice can be given is the use of production factors in the cultivation of cassava in Pati regency can be combined and optimized through the addition of production factors of labor and seedlings, as well as reducing fertilizer production factor. Luas Panen dan produksi ubi kayu di Kabupaten tahun 2014 mengalami peningkatan, tetapi produktivitas ubi kayu mengalami penurunan.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efisiensi teknis, efisiensi harga dan efisiensi ekonomi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi pada usahatani ubi kayu di Kabupaten Pati. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah luas lahan, tenaga kerja, pupuk dan bibit, sedangkan produksi ubi kayu sebagai variabel dependen. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis efisiensi teknis, efisiensi harga dan efisiensi ekonomi dengan alat bantu software frontier 41c. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi pada usahatani ubi kayu di Kabupaten Pati belum tercapai efisiensi teknis, efisiensi harga dan efisiensi ekonomi. Saran yang dapat diberikan yaitu penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi pada usahatani ubi kayu di Kabupaten Pati dapat dikombinasikan dan dioptimalkan melalui penambahan faktor produksi tenaga kerja dan bibit, serta mengurangi faktor produksi pupuk.

This study aims to  analyze the  economic, technical and price efficiency of  milkfish farmers participating fish culture training at Center of Education and Fisheries Training Banyuwangi, analyzing covering factors affecting production efficiency. Analysis of data used in the form of production function analysis Cobb Douglas stochastic frontier which is estimated by Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS). Estimation of Cobb-Douglas production function model using OLS method to know the efficiency of the average performance of fish culture business. Estimates with the maximum likelihood (MLE) method to determining the level of technical efficiency, using the 4.7 frontier computing program developed by Coelli (1996). To know the efficiency of the price can be calculated by the value of marginal product (VMP) of production factor. The results show that the level of economic efficiency of milkfish culture business in Gresik East Java, based on the results of estimation using MLE method, the result of six factors of production is in rational area, but not yet efficient because the obtained coefficient value of each area of pond (X1) 0.318, fertilizer (X2) 0.079, lime (X3) 0.009, seeds (X4) 0.005, probiotics (X6) 0.066 and labor (X7) 1.311. While one feed production factor (X5) is in an irrational area because it has a coefficient value of -0.017. While the variables that influence inefficiency are experiential variables (Z1), age of farmers (Z2) and formal education (Z3) each have elasticity of -0.0711458; -0,6270106 and -0,1504381. The value of Marginal Product (NPM) of pond production area (X1) is 0.00059 (<1), Fertilizer (X2) is greater than 1 ie 3,01413, lime production factor (X3) 3,35338, the other NPM factor production such as Seed (X4) and Labor (X7), with value less than 1 (0.00075 and 0.03865), NPM Feed (X5), is smaller than one ie -0.00364 (<1 ). NPM probiotic (X6) is 95,1491 (> 1). Overall allocation of the seven factors of production is the average value of price efficiency is also more than one that is equal to 101,553 and economic efficiency equal to 2,904. it can be concluded that fish breeding business has not been efficient. Keywords: efficiency, economy, technical, price, frontier, milkfish

The purpose of this study is to determine technical efficiency, alocative/price efficiency and economies efficiency using production factors, and to know about economies of scale of seasoning and flavoring Industry in Indonesia. The data used in this research were secondary data with five digit ISIC (10772) using panel data and for the analytical techniques used in this study include multiple linear regression analysis as production function with stochastic production frontier approach. The result shows that labor production function has positive but insignificant impact on the production, while capital and material has positive and significant impact on the production. The value of technical efficiency is 0,7796 or 77,96% shows that the used of production factors is inefficient technically, the value of alocative/price efficiency is 1,7703 that is mean inefficient, the value of economies efficiency is 1,3801 7703 means that economies efficiency has not achieved the standard yet, and economies of scale is about 1,0203, means that the economies of scale is always increase or commonly known as incresing return to scale but, the value of economies of scale is equal to one, so that the economies of scale can be known as constant return to scale

Efficiency Analysis of The Use Of Red Chili Production Factors in Red Chili Farming at Besakih Village, Rendang, Karangasem The research was conducted in Besakih Village, Rendang Sub-District, Karangasem Regency which is one of red chili farming centers in Karangasem Regency. The problem is that production tends to decline over the past five years. This study aims to analyze the effect of production factors and the level of efficiency of the use of red chili production factors on the red chili production in Besakih Village. The method used to analyze the factors of production was the Cobb-Douglas production function. Data were obtained from 62 respondents by census method. Efficiency was calculated by analyzing the ratio of marginal production prices to factor prices. The results showed that production factors that affect the amount of production include land, seed, manure, NPK, leaf fertilizer, calcium fertilizer, pesticides, and labor. Simultaneously, the influence of production factor was 93,90% to the amount of red chili production, while partially, factors that affect the production of red chili were seed, manure, NPK and pesticide. The production factor that has been efficient in its use was NPK fertilizer. Factors of seed production and manure have not been efficient, so their use needs to be added. Leaf fertilizer production factors, calcium fertilizers, pesticides, and labor usage were inefficient, so the use needs to be reduced.

Economic growth is one measure of development that reflects the welfare of society in a country. In Indonesia, labor production factors make the biggest contribution to economic growth compared to capital and technology production factors. However, the quality of Indonesian labor is the lowest compared to ASEAN-5. This study using approach of Neo Classic to know the magnitude of the contribution of production factors: Labor, capital, and technology to Indonesia economic growth by using the Cobb Douglas production function which is changed in a multiple regression equation. The results of this study indicate that production factors labor and investment significantly influence Indonesia economic growth. While production factors of technology have influence is little on Indonesia economic growth. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that the Indonesian government improve the quality of the workforce through improving education aspects.

       This study aims to determine the effect of (i) production factors on catfish production, (ii) production factors that have a significant effect and (iii) allocative efficiency level of the use of production factors to enlarge catfish in ponds in Banua Lawas Village Banua Lawas District, Tabalong Regency. Research and data collection was conducted by survey and interview methods with a sample of 28 respondents who were catfish enlargement pond entrepreneurs in Banua Lawas Village, Banua Lawas District, Tabalong Regency. The analysis used is the analysis of the Cobb-Douglas production function and allocative efficiency. The results showed that the F test stated that all variables in the area of ponds, seeds, feed, and labor simultaneously had a significant effect on the production of catfish. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination shows that 88% of the variation in the amount of production can be explained by the variable pool area, seeds, feed, and labor. While 12% is influenced by other variables not included in the regression model. The results of the t test state that the factors of seed, feed, and labor have a significant and significant effect on catfish production while the pool area factor has no significant and no significant effect on catfish production. The value of price efficiency (EH) of seeds, feed, and labor are respectively (14.1), (0.4), (4.3), which means that the use of production inputs is not allocatively efficient.

The productivity level of red chili in Wuluhan Sub-district in 2010 until 2015 has fluctuated. The level of productivity in red chili commodities in Wuluhan Sub-district is estimated to be influenced by several factors of production (fertilizer, pesticide, labor) and planting season. Some problems experienced by red chili farmers in Wuluhan Sub-district apart from productivity side of unstable but also from unstable selling price side. This research aims to determine (1) the influence of factors of production and planting season on productivity level of red chillies in Wuluhan Sub-district Jember District; (2) the efficiency of the price of the use of production factors at red chili farming in Wuluhan Sub-district, Jember District; (3) cost efficiency at red chili farming in Wuluhan Sub-district, Jember district. Location of research conducted by method of Purposive Method that is determination of research location done intentionally. Data collection methods used for primary data collection is the method of interview and questionnaire (questionnaire) while the data collection method used for secondary data collection is a documentation technique. The analytical tools used include: Cobb-Douglas production function, price efficiency and cost efficiency. The results showed that (1) production factors of pesticide, labor and planting season significantly affect productivity level; (2) The use of fertilizer, pesticide and labor production factor has not reached the price efficiency because the ratio between NPMxi and Pxi is more than one; (3) the use of cost is efficient, the business is run profitable and feasible to cultivate.

<p>ABSTRAK<br />Upaya pengembangan usaha tani tebu masih terkendala bukan<br />hanya oleh ketersediaan lahan namun juga oleh aspek teknis budidaya<br />usaha tani (penggunaan bibit unggul, pemupukan, aspek kelembagaan,<br />dan sebagainya). Selain melalui fasilitasi perluasan lahan, strategi<br />pengembangan  tebu  harus  disertai  dengan  upaya  peningkatan<br />produktivitas, yaitu melalui peningkatan efisiensi usaha tani tebu, atau<br />dengan kata lain bagaimana meningkatkan output maksimum melalui<br />pengelolaan sumberdaya serta teknologi yang ada. Tujuan penelitian<br />adalah untuk menganalisis efisiensi usaha tani tebu dan menentukan<br />faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi inefisiensi usaha tani tebu. Data yang<br />digunakan adalah data survei PATANAS (Panel Petani Nasional) oleh<br />Pusat Sosial Ekonomi dan Kebijakan Pertanian di Kabupaten Malang<br />dan Lumajang, Jawa Timur tahun 2009. Jumlah contoh sebanyak 132<br />rumah tangga yang dipilih secara acak. Analisis menggunakan stochastic<br />frontier production function approach dengan fungsi produksi Stochastic<br />Frontier Cobb Douglas yang diolah menggunakan program Frontier 4.1.<br />Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai indeks efisiensi teknis dikategorikan<br />belum efisien dengan rata-rata efisiensi sebesar 0,672. Variabel akses<br />lahan oleh petani merupakan faktor yang paling penting dan responsif<br />dalam mempengaruhi produksi tebu. Kebijakan pengembangan usaha<br />tani tebu untuk meningkatkan efisiensi usaha tani adalah melalui<br />peningkatan akses lahan, kualitas bibit yang dipakai, dan ketersediaan<br />sarana produksi.<br />Kata kunci : efisiensi teknis, usaha tani tebu, stochastic frontier<br />production function</p><p>ABSTRACT<br />Improving sugar cane farming is still constrained by not only land<br />availability but also technical aspects such as quality of seed, fertilization,<br />institution, etc., so that development strategy to improve sugar cane<br />farming should be conducted by facilitating extensification and<br />increasing productivity and technical efficiency, or in other word<br />increasing maximum output through resource management and<br />technology. The aim of this study was to analyze technical efficieny of<br />sugar cane farming and to identify determinant factors influencing the<br />efficieny of sugar cane farming. This study used PATANAS data survey<br />which was conducted by Indonesian Center for Agriculture Socio<br />Economic and Policy Study (ICASEPS) in Malang and Lumajang<br />Regency, East Java Province in the years of 2009. The 132 samplies of<br />sugarcane household were chosen randomly in the year 2009. Data were<br />analysed using stochastic frontier production function approach with<br />Stochastic Frontier Cobb Douglas using frontier 4.1. programme. The<br />result of this study showed that sugar cane farming in East Java was<br />technically not efficient with the index value of 0.672. Among variables<br />that significantly influenced sugarcane production, land access by<br />farmers was an essential factor to improve production. Title (Bahasa Indonesia): Analisis faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi produktivitas kapal tunahand lineyang berpangkalan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera BitungTuna hand lines have been used widely by fishermen in the waters of Sulawesi Sea and Moluccas Sea, to catch big pelagic species with small fishing boats (2-10 GT). Although the gear’s design has evolved over centuries, there is still potential for improving its catching efficiency and selectivity. However, theproduction factors that affect the productivityare still not known. Theresearch aimed to study several production factors that affectthe productivity of tuna hand liner based in Bitung Oceanic Fisheries Port; andto determine the most influential production factors on productivity of tuna hand liner. This research was conducted from June to November 2017 in Bitung Oceanic Fishing Portthrough applyinga descriptive method based on case study; and the data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression production function. It was found that production factors that may affect the productivity of the tuna hand liner consist of boat size (GT), engine power (PK), amount of fuel (l), number of crew (person) and number of trips (days). The result of partial analysis shows that the most influential production factor to tuna hand liner productivity is the amount of fuel usage.Pancing ulur tuna telah digunakan secara luas oleh nelayan di perairan Laut Sulawesi dan laut Maluku, untuk menangkap ikan pelagis besar dengan kapal-kapal ukuran kecil (2 – 10 GT. Walaupun konstruksinya telah berkembang sejak lama, tetapi masih memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penangkapan dan selektivitasnya. Namun belum diketahui factor-faktor produksi apa saja yang mempengaruhi produktivitasnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mempelajari beberapa factor produksi yang mempengaruhi produktivitas kapal-kapal tuna hand line (THL) yang berpangkalan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bitung; dan menentukan factor produksi yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kapal THL.Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai November 2017 di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Bitung; dikerjakan dengan metode deskriptif yang didasarkan pada study kasus; dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan fungsi produksi regresi linier berganda.Faktor-faktor produksi yang dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas kapal THL terdiri dari ukuran kapal (GT), kekuatan mesin (PK), jumlah bahan bakar (l), jumlah anak buah kapal (orang) dan jumlah trip (hari). Hasil analisis parsial menunjukan bahwa faktor produksi yang paling berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kapal THL adalah jumlah penggunaan bahan bakar minyak.

Efficient Use of Production Factors on Wetland Rice Farming in Subak Sembung, Peguyangan Village, District of North Denpasar(Application of Frontier Stochastic Analysis) Subak Sembung is one of the subaks which get subsidy in the form of seed and fertilizer from the government. The existence of these subsidies allows wastefulness by farmers in the use of production factors. Based on this, a research was conducted that aimed to determine the efficiency of the use of production factors on rice farming in Subak Sembung. Random sampling technique was used to select the sample. The data collection in this study was conducted from October to November 2016. Researchers used the frontier production function and frontier cost functions estimated using the Maximum Likelihood Estimate (MLE) method. The results showed that rice farmers in Subak Sembung were efficient in using the production factor (cut-off value ? 0.7), but not in optimum efficiency condition at the frontier limit. Although farmers did not use production factors optimally, they had the opportunity to achieve optimal productive efficiency. Based on the result of significance with Fastilizer Stochastic analysis, it is known that only variable of land area that have a significant effect on paddy rice production.
