Objective - Unemployment and marketability among graduates are the country’s current issues. This became clear when the unemployment percentage among graduates continued to increase yearly. Therefore, entrepreneurship education has been chosen as an alternative solution. However, currently, student involvement in entrepreneurship is still low. As low involvement occurs among students, especially those in private colleges, students may lack entrepreneurial behavior and intentions. Therefore, this study aims to identify the level of the entrepreneurial behavior and intentions among Bumiputra’s students studying in Kuala Lumpur’s private colleges. Methodology/Technique – A total of 387 students participated in a quantitative survey. Using a questionnaire as the study’s research instrument, the data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. Finding - The findings showed that the entrepreneurial behavior and intentions among students are at a moderate level. Pearson correlation coefficients indicated a significantly positive, although moderate, relationship between entrepreneurial behavior and entrepreneurial intentions. The result suggests that to increase the number of entrepreneurs among students in Malaysia, all stakeholders should be involved in inculcating an entrepreneurial culture. Novelty -An innovative and practical-based entrepreneurship curriculum should be developed to encourage students to choose entrepreneurship as a career option upon graduation. Higher education institutions should be able to change the mindset of students who are not only as job seekers, but also job creators especially when educated unemployment in Indonesia increases every year. Entrepreneurship is one solution in tackling unemployment and poverty which will encourage national economic growth. This study examines the effect of self-efficacy and contextual environment on entrepreneurial behavior with entrepreneurial intention as an intervening variable using Theory of Planned Behavior. The subjects of this study were Semarang State University students who owned a business and joined the UNNES Student Entrepreneurship Center (UNSEC) and Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia Perguruan Tinggi (HIPMI PT) Semarang State University totaling 310 students. The results showed a direct relationship between self-efficacy and contextual environment towards entrepreneurial behavior and indirect relationships through entrepreneurial intentions. It was proved by the moderating role of entrepreneurial intention in facilitating the relationship of self-efficacy and contextual environment to student entrepreneurial behavior in accordance with the Theory of Planned Behavior. Future studies can use elements of social and demographic psychology that are more complete and involve a wider population.

Many studies suggest that personality factors determining the entrepreneurship intentions. On the other hand, entrepreneurship education is one way to increase student entrepreneurship intentions. Another personality factor that can improve student entrepreneurship intention is risk-taking propensity and locus of control. The purpose of this study is to find empirical evidence about the influence of personality factors as seen from education entrepreneurship, risktaking propensity, and locus of control on entrepreneurial intentions of students of the Faculty of Economics of Accounting Studies Program University of Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta. The data used are primary data where the sample was taken based on purposive sampling as many as 100 students of Accounting Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. Regression analysis was used  to  test  research hypotheses with the help of SPSS 16. Research results showed that entrepreneurship education and locus of control affect the entrepreneurial intention, while the trend did not affect the risk-taking entrepreneurial intentions. Based simultaneous test (F test) variables entrepreneurship education, risk taking propensity, locus of control and influence on entrepreneurial intentions.

Objective – This empirical study aims to examine the role of entrepreneurial alertness as a mediator to personality traits, prior knowledge and social capital in influencing the potential of entrepreneurial intention. Methodology/Technique – A total of 212 questionnaires were personally distributed in the Kuala Lumpur area. The data were analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) employing the Baron and Kenny method with the bootstrapping method in testing for mediation effect. Findings – The findings concluded that there are significant relationships between the three variables; prior knowledge, social capital and personality traits with the entrepreneurial intention which is mediated by entrepreneurial alertness. Social capital and prior knowledge in the form of entrepreneurships courses and entrepreneurial experience have a positive relationship with entrepreneurial intention and hence attention should be directed towards them. Novelty – Demonstrate the originality or value of the paper which makes it different from prior studies. Although there is abundant literature on entrepreneurial intentions and entrepreneurial behavior, there is still a lacuna on those factors enabling the pass from intention to action. Motivated by this gap, this study assesses the extent to which the determinants of entrepreneurial intention also have an effect on subsequent entrepreneurial behavior, using an institutional approach as a theoretical framework. With a sample of 2,491 university students from Catalonia (Spanish) through the simultaneous equations, the main findings show that institutions such as opportunity identification, business skills, and entrepreneurs' status encourage students to think of entrepreneurship as a good career choice, which subsequently explains entrepreneurial actions. Theoretical, policy, and practical implications are discussed based on these findings.

The entrepreneurial intentions of Chinese students have received rapidly evolving attention, with the “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” program as a driving force, which encourages individuals to start their own business. Entrepreneurial intention, which is perceived as being a predictor of entrepreneurial behavior, has generally been explored in the existing literature on the basis of the theory of planned behavior and the intention–behavior model. Since intention is a psychological notion, it is important to investigate the motivation for developing entrepreneurial intention from a subjective perspective. The aim of this study is to identify the objective factors that determine Chinese science and engineering students’ entrepreneurial intentions, and to understand how these different factors affect their intention to become an entrepreneur. Q methodology, which is a technological combination of qualitative and quantitative research, was conducted using thirty Chinese science and engineering students, and this paper reports their individual attitudes and discourses concerning their entrepreneurial intentions. After compiling 32 Q sets of statements and performing factor analysis, three distinct types of entrepreneurs were revealed. The findings suggest that a subjective approach to entrepreneurship education should be taken to enhance science and engineering students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Some theoretical and practical implications of these findings for techno-entrepreneurship education and development are also discussed.

Purpose Entrepreneurial intention plays a crucial role in the research and application of social entrepreneurship (SE). The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of the factors affecting students’ intention towards social entrepreneurship (ISE). The study has taken entrepreneurial self-efficacy, along with entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial network and perceived university support that have an impact on intentions, which instills interest amongst students in being future entrepreneurs. Design/methodology/approach Data were primarily taken from a survey of 380 university students from public and private universities in Chattogram, the business capital of Bangladesh. Students were preliminarily selected, focussing on different profiles such as male/female, age, socio-economic status, education level, university status and employment level. Initially, using factor analysis factors were analyzed and later multiple regression analysis was used to identify the relationship with ISE. Findings The study on the student reveals that four aspects significantly impacted the preference of students’ ISE. This study reinforces the influence of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, along with entrepreneurial education, as the factors contributing to aid young graduates recognizing and fostering an ISE. Entrepreneurial networks and perceived university support were found to have no association with social entrepreneurial intentions. Originality/value This paper contributes to the understanding of the factors and provides a basis for explaining factors that affect the intention of students towards SE. It can contribute to future research related to social entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, it was concluded that forming social entrepreneurial intention is highly influenced by entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurship education.

Entrepreneurs can be defined as the key actuator of economic growth and an essential factor for societal prosperity. Entrepreneurship is promoted as a career option among young people, and the intention to become entrepreneurs can be influenced by psychological, socio-demographic, and educational factors. This paper examines the impact of personality traits, family background, and international education mobility on students' entrepreneurial intention. A questionnaire was used in the study as the research instrument. Results of the quantitative analysis show a significant impact of selected factors on entrepreneurship intentions.

Indonesian university graduates skills in creating job opportunities or entering the workforce are still low. It can be seen from the facts that the undergraduate unemployment rate is still higher than the national unemployment rate. Although entrepreneurship education has been considered as one solution to this problem, the best entrepreneurship education model has not been agreed among researchers. This study examines the application of Business Model Canvas (BMC) on enhancing student achievement and student entrepreneurial intentions and the interaction of entrepreneurial learning achievement levels and the application of BMC on entrepreneurial intentions. The method used in this research is quasi-experiment by assigning two classes of entrepreneurship courses at the Faculty of Economics, Medan State University, one class as an experimental class (BMC) and the other class as the control class. Hypothesis testing was conducted with t-test and ANOVA. The findings showed that the average entrepreneurial learning achievement of the BMC class was 12.52% higher than that of the control class. Entrepreneurial intentions of the BMC class was only 6.15% higher than that of the control class. BMC is proven to be positive and significantly improves learning achievement. The level of learning achievement is proven to be positive and it significantly increases entrepreneurial intentions. However, BMC learning has not been proven to increase entrepreneurial intentions. The results of this study are useful for entrepreneurial instructors to design learning that can increase entrepreneurial intentions.

Purpose: The unemployment rate among graduates is considered high in Malaysia despite concerted efforts taken by the Malaysian government in resolving the issue.  If this issue is not tackled immediately by the government, the unemployment rate may soar and hence lead to social problems in the country. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention of Universiti Kuala Lumpur TEKNOPUTRA Alumni. Methodology: An online survey was conducted to explore if there is a relationship between entrepreneurship education the graduates had received at the university and their entrepreneurial intention to become entrepreneurs. About 50 graduates responded to the survey and they consisted of male and female graduates most of who were aged between 20 and 25 with less than 2 years of working experience. The sample had ventured into service types of business while others were sole proprietors, and most of them have been involved in their business for less than 5 years. Results: Cronbach Alpha values for the reliability analysis of items for entrepreneurship education (α=0.953) and entrepreneurial intention (α=0.893) show that the items are reliable. Inferential statistics, that is Pearson r correlation was run to determine the relationship between the independent variable, entrepreneurship education and the dependent variable entrepreneurship intention. Implications:  Pearson Correlation analysis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between entrepreneurship educations with entrepreneurial intention among TEKNOPUTRA Alumni. In short, this implies that most of the TEKNOPUTRA Alumni agreed that entrepreneurship education they had received at the university has influenced their entrepreneurial intention to become entrepreneurs.

Abstrak Pengkajian data memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh status sosial orangtua terhadap intensi berwirausaha , pengaruh sikap berwirausaha terhadap intensi berwirausaha serta pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orangtua dan sikap berwirausaha pada niat berwirausaha. Jenis pengkajian data adalah kuantitatif dengan obyek penelitian mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan ekonomi 2016 unesa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket pada 178 mahasiswa. Proses telaah menggunakan uji analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari pengkajian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel status sosial ekonomi orangtua berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap variabel intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa. Sedangkan variabel sikap berwirausaha memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel intensi berwirausaha. Secara simultan, kedua variabel ini juga dinyatakan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap intensi berwirausaha. Kata kunci : Status Sosial Ekonomi Orangtua , Sikap Berwirausaha , Intensi Berwirausaha Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of parental social status on entrepreneurial intentions, the influence of entrepreneurial attitudes on entrepreneurial intentions and the influence of parental socioeconomic status and entrepreneurial attitudes on entrepreneurial intentions. This type of research is a quantitative study with the object of research students majoring in economic education in 2016 Unesa. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 178 students. Data processing in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis test. The results of this study indicate that the parents socioeconomic status variable has a negative and significant effect on the student entrepreneurship intention variable. While the entrepreneurship attitude variable has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurship intention variables. Simultaneously, these two variables are also stated to have a significant influence on entrepreneurial intentions.
