The rapid development of information technology and the proliferation of restaurants and cafes in urban areas make eating activities no longer a primary need. This study examines the phenomenon of uploading food photos on Instagram. Nowadays, when eating out, people tend to take food photos before consuming it. This phenomenon is something that generally happens. The food photo is uploaded to social media, mostly on Instagram. The uploader of food photos on Instagram is known as Instagram Foodies. These symptoms continue to be made by consuming food and eating out not for the purpose of primary needs, but rather on symbolic things. This phenomenon will be examined using Jean Baudrillard's theory about consumer society, who consumes signs to fulfil the desire for selfexistence. This study used a qualitative method by interviewing four foodies who were well known in following the latest trends of foods and places in Jakarta city and taking food photos before consuming it. The result of this study shows that foodies will continue to consume and keep up with the latest trends in food so that it can be uploaded to Instagram as content. This activity is done to maintain their status quo as the foodies on Instagram. The foodies believe that food consumption and uploading food photos on Instagram are done with a desire to show self-existence on Instagram as its virtual reality. The virtual reality of the foodies is the symbol as 'the foodies' on Instagram itself

In this day and age many people use Indonesian language which is not in accordance with the rules of language and with the advancement of information technology which rapidly raises many social media, one of which is Instagram which is loved by almost all Indonesian people. The purpose of this study is to find out and explain how much influence instagram has in fostering the development of Indonesian. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques. The results of the study explained that Instagram social media was also used by the Ministry of Education and Culture to develop Indonesian language through accounts @badanbahasakemndikbud which upload many Indonesian rules and grammar, including spelling of words, equivalent words, raw words, punctuation, word terms, proverbs, and so on. Not only official accounts from the government, some communities also contribute to developing the Indonesian language through Instagram, one of which is @sastraindonesia with upload contents that together discuss Indonesian rules and grammar. The impact of the instagram as one of the media used in the development of Indonesian language is that more and more people know about Indonesian rules and grammar because of the ease of access by Instagram communities.

ABSTRAK Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi media sosial membuat kepopuleran mudah didapat. Evie Effendi merupakan salah satu da’i populer di media sosial Youtube dilihat dari banyaknya jamaah, kalangan muda khususnya. Ia da’i nyentrik dan mempunyai ciri khas dalam dakwahnya yaitu mengenakan pakaian modis kaum muda serta selalu menambahkan humor dalam ceramahnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui, menganalisis dan mengkontruksi proses penyusunan retorika dalam dakwah Evie Effendi di video Youtube.  Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa teori seperti, teori retorika yang diungkapkan oleh Aristoteles tentang seni untuk mempengaruhi orang lain (the art of persusasion) menggunakan prinsip ethos, pathos dan logos.  Teori retorika Jalaludin Rakhmat tentang imbauan persuasi dalam berpidato. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan sampling. Data-data dianalisis dan dideskripsikan sesuai dengan teori-teori terkait. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa  retorika yang diterapkan oleh Evie Effendi meliputi ethos, pathos, dan logos, serta lima imbauan persuasi. Gaya bahasa yang digunakan Evie Effendi dalam dakwahnya meliputi, ta’lim dan tarbiyah (pengajaran dan pendidikan), tazkir dan tanbih (pengingat dan penyegaran kembali), targhib dan tabsyir (penggemaran amal sholeh dan penampilan berita pahala), tarhib dan inzar (menakut-nakuti dan menyampaikan berita siksa), qashash dan riwayat (penampilan kisah atau cerita masa lalu), serta amar dan nahi (perintah dan larangan). Kemudian,  humor yang digunakan adalah humor exaggeration, parodi, burlesque, dan belokan mendadak. Evie Effendi is one of the popular da'i on Youtube social media seen from the many worshipers, especially young people. He was quirky and had a characteristic in his preaching which was wearing fashionable clothes for young people and always adding humor in his lectures. The purpose of this study is to find out, analyze and construct the process of preparing rhetoric in the preaching of Evie Effendi on Youtube videos. This study uses several theories such as the rhetorical theory expressed by Aristotle about art to influence others (the art of persuasion) using the principles of ethos, pathos, and logos. The rhetorical theory of Jalaluddin Rakhmat about the appeal of persuasion in speeches. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data obtained through observation, documentation, and sampling. The data are analyzed and described in accordance with related theories. The results of the study prove that the rhetoric applied by Evie Effendi includes ethos, pathos, and logos, and five persuasion calls. The language style used by Evie Effendi in her preaching included, ta'lim and tarbiyah (teaching and education), tazkir and tanbih (reminders and refreshes), targhib and tabsyir (good charity and news reward appearance), tarhib and inzar (scare and news torture display), qashash and history (Appearance of stories or stories of the past), and amar and nahi (orders and prohibitions). The limited time and low participation of students in discussion activities in the classroom causes the optimal process of lecturing, especially in the subjects of statistical physics. On the other hand, the rapid development of information technology and social media and the occurrence of a paradigm shift in learning to be an active creative education bring challenges and solutions. The number of lecturers and students who use social media Whatsapp, media that allows sharing of information online, easy, fast and cheap, is an alternative solution for the not optimal learning process in the classroom so far. So it is necessary to do research that produces a social media-based technology integration model for discussion activities outside the classroom. This type of research takes the form of research and development. The process of developing learning media with online discussion using whatsapp refers to the Four-D development model which includes 4 stages: Define, design, development, and Dissemination. The results generated are whatsapp-based online discussion models that can be used as a reference for educators who will utilize whatsapp social media in learning both in school and college. The rapid development of information technology throughout the last few decades brings about a new color in the spread of information pattern. The availability of internet supported by the latest information technology, enables the media to spread information without limitation of space and time. Some issues addressed in this paper: how is the role of global capitalism in the spread of radical idelogy through social media? Furthermore, how is the inter-countries relation with regard to the spread of radical ideology? And what form of economy is created by the capitalisation of radical idelogy? Last but not least, what kind of actions being done by global network in order to advance security and to prevent the spread of radical ideology? The spread of radical ideology through social media has become study in contemporary global issues. This is because the relation of economy and political globalization is hardly separated. The economic gain of the global spread of radical ideology through social media will be qualitatively described in this paper. The act of spreading radical ideology using information technology brings benefit to the capitalist. Moreover, revolution of communication technology which also promotes globalization has raised awareness among nations: there is a problem that cannot be solved independently. The health information technology (HIT) era has rapidly changed how medical and healthcare sector communicate, diagnose, treat and cure patients. Advances such social media, instant messaging, and e-mails all created to make communication faster, easier and more convenient between families and friends and people across great distances. In our modern cyber world this is done by augmenting innate human knowledge handling capabilities with computer-based technology (CBT). This chapter provides a holistic perspective of technologization or cybernization of different organizational relationships. This chapter shows that ICT can be used to remove or destroy inner and external barriers between people, organizations and departments or functions. By failing to utilize HIT and a technologicalship philosophy, a healthcare organizations risk being isolated, while successful healthcare organizations move ahead toward the rest of the 21st century with its borderless or virtual reality.

The rapid development of social media in China brings both challenges and opportunities for China's eGovernance construction. This chapter seeks to research the information society construction in China during the 12th 5-year plan period (2011-2015), especially the efforts of involving citizens in participating in the decision-making process, whilst also exploring the interlinks between the fast development of social media and the ever-changing government services. The chapter summarizes the strengths and weaknesses in the practice of public participation and finds that rapid development of information technology cannot guarantee that eParticipation will be fully effective, and measures and policy should be taken to change the situation. China has made considerable progress in social media development, but more efforts are needed from the government to further engage its citizens in the decision-making process.

Social media has now become people's daily behavior. Starting from the children to the older generation cannot be separated from the existence of social media. The rapid development of technology coupled with the presence of the corona virus pandemic has an impact on all sectors of life, including social life. People, especially in urban areas, have to refrain from going out of the house. The writing of this article discusses how humans can get entangled with social media and the effects of the COVID-19 virus pandemic. The writer uses her personal experience of what she felt during her lifetime in the midst of a viral storm and added from several opinions or theories from the journal references of Lambung Mangkurat University lecturers as review material. The results of this writing show that social media has become a human need to be able to maintain the social, psychological and economic factors of each individual during the corona virus pandemic.

Nowadays, when various information technologies are constantly being updated, preschool children will inevitably need to use new technologies for knowledge learning. At present, preschool education informatization has begun to deploy new technologies in various colleges and universities, but there are still deficiencies. This article analyzes the significance of the combination of wireless communication and VR technology applied to preschool education for children and explores the status quo of children’s participation in the use of information technology in kindergarten classrooms. Based on the problems existing in the status quo, try to use wireless communication and VR technology to improve preschool education in our country. Informatization of education proposes innovative strategies and analyzes the advantages and challenges of applying wireless communication and VR technology to the informatization of preschool education.

Dietary preferences are linked to human life and region culture. With the rapid development of the Internet, people are becoming frequently interested in sharing their opinions about dietary in social media. This article aims to mine social media users' dietary preferences and their evolutions with user generated content. The authors use microblogs from weibo.com to detect dietary preferences and their evolutions of social media users in China via sentiment analysis. First, the authors compare four aspect extraction methods to obtain dietary aspects. Second, sentiment polarities of aspects and dishes are identified. Finally, dietary preference evolutions are analyzed. Empirical analysis shows that social media users in weibo are not satisfied with status quo of a Chinese diet. Meanwhile, gender and region have significant effects on dietary preferences, and users' dietary preferences change over time. In addition, experimental results show that contextual information is useful in extracting dietary aspects.
