Medicinal treatment or therapy by Mursyid is another side of Surau suluk (Suluk mosque) that isstudied rarely. This study aims to explain the traditional therapy done by Mursyid in suluk mosques inLima Puluh Kota regency, West Sumatera. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. Thedata were collected by doing literature review, field observation, and in-depth interview. The informantswere several Mursyid from some suluk mosques and also the people who get involved in suluk activitiesand therapy. The result of data analysis explained that traditional therapy done by Mursyid in sulukmosques are based on zikrulloh. The therapy is done on medical and non medical diseases, however, itis focused more on non medical diseases such as possession of the jin (evil spirit).

<p>This research is done in Balanipa regional district of Polewali Mandar<br />West Sulawesi. The research covers the descriptive qualitative. The<br />data is found and gathered with the technique of collecting data as<br />follows: a) depth interview, b) document study, and c) observation. The<br />processing and data analysis are done with analyzing all preparing<br />data from some sources.<br />The result of the research shows that Mandarese culture is necessary to<br />be socialized for the next generation because it is an identity for supporting<br />community, process of Mandarese culture socialization in some<br />main note of the appropriating historical development, and Madarese<br />culture still exist to the present suitable era especially an establishment<br />for the next generation, especially in the case of agreement, maintenance<br />of low, looking for correctness, democracy, autonomy of territory,<br />concept of leadership, unity of the people, keep the trusteeship,<br />solidarity, transparency, insight to the front, accountability, supervision<br />or care, and professionalism.</p>

Kalosara is a local wisdom which is grown in Kendari Southeast Sulawesi Indonesia, and it has been proven to strengthen peace and harmony in the tribe of Tolaki. Therefore, how to enlarge the function of Kalosara in the multicultural society, is the main discussion of this article base on the theory of multiculturalism and structural-functional in the frame of descriptive-qualitative approach, where the society interpreted as a structure that interacting each other, especially in the norms, traditions, and institutions. The analyzed of data refers to thinking narratively as a way of thinking about phenomena. Data gaining from in-depth interview, literature review, and observation indicated that the local wisdom that supports harmony in Kendari basically also presents in all ethnicities, thus strengthening of Tolakinese’s local wisdom through the internalization of Kalosara in Lulo dance can be well-received by other communities. Kalosara has effective influence in being a unifying means between the dispute parties. Therefore, to expand the access of Kalosara into more effective function, it is recommended to internalized the values of Kalosara in public activities, primarily in Lulo dance, and it is also advisable to manifest the transformation of stylistic Kalosara in the forms of jewelry or crafts, bracelets, necklaces, rings, plate plaques, and other forms that may adopt the shape of original Kalosara, simultaneously adapt its function as an integral tool. If Kalosara transforms into various shapes which is easy to carry anywhere has spread in the community, it is expected at the same time also the functions to spread to the whole society.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat umum pada  makna dan nilai pendidikan dalam kapamalian yang hidup disekelilingnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kapamalian yang ada di Desa Kanekes, menjelaskan klasifikasi dan fungsinya, perkembangannya, dan memaparkan nilai-nilai etnopedagogi yang ada dalam kapamalian tersebut. Metode yang digunakan yaitu medtode deskriftif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah dari tiga informan di Desa Kanekes. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, dan wawancara, serta analisis datanya dengan menggunakan kartu data. Hasil penelitiannya yaitu, pertama ditemukan 140 kapamalian yang ada di Desa Kanekes. Kedua klasifikasinya terbagi kedalam, 24 pamali dasar, 8 pamali untuk barés kolot, 103 pamali untuk umum, dan 5 pamali untuk tamu yang secara umum memiliki fungsi sebagai aturan adat. Ketiga perkembangannya, ada 13 pamali yang termasuk pamali baru. Keempat nilai étnopedagoginya, ada 1 pamali yang berkaitan dengan moral manusia dengan Tuhan (0,8%), 63 pamali yang berkaitan dengan moral manusia dengan pribadinya (45%), 22 pamali yang berkaitan dengan moral manusia dengan manusia lainnya (15,7%), 16 pamali yang berkaitan dengan moral manusia dengan alam (11,4%), 8 pamali yang berkaitan dengan moral manusia dengan waktu (5,7%), dan 30 pamali yang berkaitan dengan moral manusia dalam mencapai kesejahteraan lahir batin (21,4%). Kesimpulannya, kapamalian yang ada di Desa Kanekes mempunyai peran penting sebagai aturan adat yang dipercaya dan diterapkan oleh masayrakatnya, selain itu pamali mempunyai nilai pendidikan moral bagi masyarakat yang berbasis pada kearifan lokal yang disebut etnopedagogi.AbstractThe background of this research is people’s lack understanding towards meaning and value of kapamalian exist around them. The puposed of this research is to describe kapamalian in Kanekes village, explain the classification and its function, the development, and revealing ethno-pedagogical values contained in the Kapamalian. This research employed descriptive qualitative approach. The data were gained from three native villagers in Kanekes village. The employed technique in the research was studi pustaka, observation, interview, and the data analysis was conducted using the data card. The first finding was that there were 140 kapamalian in Kanekes village. Secondly, the classification was divided into 24 basic pamali, 8 pamali for the barés kolot, 103 pamali for the public, and 5 pamali for the guest which basically played as the culture rules. Thirdly, the development, there were 13 new pamali. Fourthly, the ethno-pedagogical value, there was 1 pamali related to humans morality to God (0,8%), 63 pamali related to human morality with their personality (45%), 22 pamali related to the human morality to humans (15,7%), 16 pamali related to human morality to nature (11,4%), 8 pamali related to the human morality to time (5,7%), and 30 pamali related to human morality to their way to achieve prosperity (21,4%). Conclusion, kapamalian in Kanekes village plays an important role in regulating the culture which is believed and applied by the people, besides, pamali contains moral value for the people based on the local values namely ethno-pedagogy.

This study aims to explain how the distribution of productive zakat in the Rumah Zakat North Sumatra and how the effectiveness of productive zakat distribution in improving the welfare of mustahik in the Rumah Zakat North Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive method, which is a problem that guides researchers to explore and photograph situations that will be thoroughly investigated, broadly and deeply. Data collection techniques with field research, while the tools used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study inform that in distributing productive zakat funds, Rumah Zakat is in accordance with Law No. 23 of 2011 concerning Management of Zakat. The distribution of productive zakat carried out by the Rumah Zakat North Sumatra through the Senyum Mandiri Program to mustahik in Medan Helvetia Subdistrict has been effective, because it can improve the welfare of mustahik, this is evidenced by the income of eight of thirteen mustahik people in total, five people whose income is fixed and four out of eight people whose income has increased has reached the level of muzaki.

ABSTRAK Permasalahan penelitian adalah mengapa wacana tentang pendalungan dimunculkan berulang-ulang dan bagaimana efek kuasa/pengetahuan dari sisi lain wacana pendalungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menjelaskan kuasa/pengetahuan dalam rangka pembentukan identitas orang Jember melalui pewacanaan pendalungan dan menjelaskan efek yang timbul dari wacana. Manfaat teoritisnya dalam mengembangkan kajian antropologi tentang konsep identitas berkaitan pendalungan beserta efeknya, khususnya dalam pembentukan identitas dengan pendekatan wacana kuasa/pengetahuan. Manfaat praktisnya sebagai masukan kepada masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam melakukan pengembangan tentang identitas warga Jember. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif menggunakan instrumen studi pustaka dan wawancara. Populasi penelitian adalah seniman, akademisi dan sejarawan. Variabel penelitian berupa identitas, imajinasi dan multikultural. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa identitas bukan lahir dari sebuah situasi yang harmoni dan keseimbangan, melainkan pergulatan,kontestasi, benturan, beradu argumen dan wacana, pergesekan, dinamis dan produktif. Berkaitan dengan itu, simpulan penellitian ini bahwa identitas bukan suatu hal yang tetap melainkan bersifat lentur dan cair atau beragam.Kata Kunci: Pendalungan, imajinasi, identitas, wacana ABSTRACT The research problem formulated within this study is the question of why the pendalungan discourse was repreatedly surfaced and how is the influence of power/knowledge from the other side of this very discourse. This study seeks to unfold the essence of power/knowledge in forming the identity of the people of Jember through the pendalungan discourse as well as to provide an elaboration of the resulted effect from said discourse. The theoretical implication of this study would be the development of anthropological studies concerning the identity and influence of pendalungan, particularly on the formation of identity through the approach of power/knowledge discourse. As for the practical implication, the outcome of this study could serve as a form of valid recommendation both for the people and government in pursuing the development of the identity of Jember people. Drawing upon artists, academics, and historians as the population, this study made use of qualitative approach as the main method as well as literature review and interview as the instrument. A number of variables involved within this study were identity, imagination, and multiculturalism. The result of the study revealed that identity is not to be regarded as an entity born from a harmonious and balanced situation, rather, from an atmosphere that is full of struggles, contestation, clashes, conflicts of arguments and discourse, frictions between parties, dynamics, as well as productivity. From this point, this study embarked upon a conclusion that identity is not something that is fixed or rigid, but flexible and diverse.Keywords: Pendalungan, imagination, identity, discourse

AbstractThis article analyzed words in Minangkabaunese that share the same semantic prime: TOUCH using Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM). This research was conducted using the descriptive qualitative approach. The data that were found in this research were the words connected that are connected to the semantic prime TOUCH in Minangkabau language. The sources of this data were the 11 informants from the 11 districts in Padang city, which is the capital city of the West Sumatera Province. The data were collected using interview guidelines, recording equipment, and writing equipment. An interactive model of data analysis is used to analyze the data. From the data that were collected and analyzed there are a total of 6 words that are connected to semantic prime TOUCH: maawai, manggaduah, maambiak, marabuik, marameh, and maresek. These words are similar but not exactly synonymous that they will create a misconception in diction.

This research discusses the resilience dinamics of schizophrenia sufferer with a relapse which aims to explore the feeling of the family about the resiliece dinamics of schizophrenia sufferer with a relapse. This research metodology uses qualitative approach which involves 6 participants. The data analysis uses interpretative phenomenological analysis. The informative method uses in-depth interview technique with their parents and other relatives. The participantss are people who take care of and understand the condition of patient.The result of the research make 9 themes namely : (1) the family of the sufferer knew schizophrenia as a thougt illness; (2) the family feel uncomfortable; (3) they believed that the supernatural power causing the illness; (4) they try hard to cure the sufferer by alternative treatment; (5)the family have crisis life; (6) they regarded all misery which was experienced as God-given; (7) the family feel the care of health and environment  officers; (8) they Raise from the fall; (9) they accept all condition. Keywords : family resilience, schizophrenia, relapse

Purpose: This paper aims to gather information about the management of ZISWAF through literature review. Methods: This study uses a qualitative approach to describe findings from facts and reality in society with a phenomenology approach. A literature review and documentation are conducted to collect the data. Finding: ZISWAF funds can be maximized for the economic development of the people, but currently these funds are still much engaged in the area of social service activities, charity assistance, compensation for orphans, Madrasah development, and others. Even tend to ignore the interests of other Muslims such as legal aid, child protection, public policy advocacy, women's empowerment, and several other important agendas, still lacking support from the utilization of philanthropic funds in addition to efforts to find out the potential of Islamic philanthropy and its impact on the economic development of the people, especially poor people or poor people.

<div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> <em>Berkombur </em>is an activity of communicating both verbally and nonverbally by a group. The purpose of this activity is as a means of socializing, entertainment, increasing friendship, a problem solving and most importantly by inserting humor at each discussion of the theme so that the feeling of saturation and fatigue all day long works away with a happy laugh. This activity is a characteristic of Batubara Melayu culture. The purpose of this study is to describe kinship values in combat activities and obtain construction procedures as an effort to modify students' interpersonal skills. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a type of dialogue research. The research subject is a student who is an expert in the activity. Coupled with BK teachers, the community, and Malayu humanist. The instrument of data collection uses participant observation and interviews. Data analysis by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that there are eight values in the activity which are grouped into kinship values, and obtaining construction implementation in conducting <em>berkombur</em> activities as an effort to modify interpersonal skills.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong> <em>Berkombur </em>adalah suatu kegiatan berkomunikasi baik secara verbal maupun nonverbal yang dilakukan suatu kelompok. Tujuan dari aktivitas ini sebagai sarana bersosial, hiburan, meningkatkan silaturahmi, penyelesaian suatu masalah dan menyisipkan humor pada setiap pembahasan tema sehingga rasa jenuh dan letih seharian bekerja hilang dengan tertawa gembira. Aktivitas ini menjadi ciri khas budaya Melayu Batubara. Tujuan dari kajian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kekerabatan dalam aktivitas <em>berkombur</em> dan memperoleh konstruksi prosedur sebagai upaya modifikasi kecakapan interpersonal siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tipe riset dialog. Subjek penelitian yaitu seorang siswa yang ahli dengan kegiatan tersebut. Ditambah dengan guru BK, Masyarakat, serta budayawan melayu. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipan dan wawancara. Analsis data dengan cara mereduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan ada delapan nilai di dalam aktivitas tersebut yang dikelompokkan menjadi nilai kekerabatan, serta memperoleh konstruksi pelaksanaan dalam melakukan aktivitas <em>berkombur </em>sebagai upaya modifikasi kecakapan interpersonal.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

This article aims to examine the concept of ‘aql based on the neuroscience and the Qur’an perspective, the implications to the scientific approach in the Islamic education as well. This article is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. The technique of data collection was done by analytic descriptive by using the related themes as the data. The results of the study indicate that reasoning function is equivalent to brain function. Brain optimization not only makes students smart rationally but also emotionally and spiritually. The equality of ‘aql and brain functions will produce the students who have a good skill of life. These skills include specific skills and the three pillars of students' success such as knowledge, skills, and motivation. These three pillars form a superior personality, which called as ulil albab in the Qur’an perspective.
