AbstractThis paper considers whether Tory in Buryatia can survive as a community. It is argued that Tory came to be a unified community under the Soviet regime from the 1930s onwards. As Soviet institutions strengthened, the earlier Buryat society lost its integrity and came to consists of familial groups isolated from and opposed to public life, yet economically dependent on the collective farm. With the 1990s outside support was withdrawn from the collective farm. There is a real possibility that if it collapses altogether, the household economies will collapse with it. It is argued that a large proportion of people in the village have become psychologically accustomed to dependency on the state and may be incapable of self-reliance. Meanwhile, the young generation is oriented to urban and outside culture and may drop out of any process of village adaptation to the new economic conditions.

The study was conducted as an empirical test of the model of mental development proposed by Ya.A. Ponomarev, who showed that the ability to act “in the mind” is one of the most important indicators of the overall development of the human psyche. Within the framework of these ideas, a comparative analysis of the features of time planning by first-year students of one of the Moscow universities of low (10 people) and high (10 people) levels of development of the ability to act “in the mind” through expert assessments of teachers of this university (40 people) protocols of students’ responses is carried out. As a result of the expert assessment, it was shown that with a low level of development of the ability to act “in the mind”, it is more difficult to systematically achieve the set life goals, plan your future based on a logical calculation. The study raises the question of the possible connection between “theory and practice” when taking into account the personal characteristics associated with a certain stage of the development of the ability to act “in the mind”, raises the question of the desirability of psychological support for a teenager when, due to the low level of development of this ability, planning for the future is difficult. It is postulated that if a practical psychologist provides such support in adolescence, practical psychology will be able to really influence the life path of a growing personality.

This study was aimed at explaining jewelry production, its development and implications of the developing trends. This study was conducted in Celuk Village, Gianyar Regency, a place or arena of production, distribution and at the same time sale of jewelry in Bali, Indonesia, in which Celuk is regarded as the basis for jewelry. This paper explains the development of jewelry at the beginning of the emergence of tourism and the implications, and the introduction of casting machine as the method of production which had an implication in the change of human labor, in which the artisans became machine power regarded as more professional in jewelry production. The data of this ethnographic study were collected through observation, in-depth interview, library research, and internet search. The finding showed that the presence of jewelry that is developing in Celuk Village does not give an optimal positive contribution to the community of the village as artisans, but in stead, it gives profits to the people outside the village who are involved in the development of the jewelry trends. The entrance of tourism with the implication on the high level of jewelry production and sale in Celuk Village started from 1980s gave profits to tour guides who were regarded as the ones who deserve to get fee in a large amount by the artisans. When there was a trend in jewelry in 2010-2014, in which the demand for jewelry like accessories for kebaya cloth for going to the temple and a ring with gemstone drove away the artisans whose position had been replaced by casting machines and workers who came from outside of Celuk Village who were regarded more professional by jewelry business people in producing standard jewelry in a large quantity. In this paper it is understood that artisans in Celuk Village are not able to obtain an optimal use from jewelry trends that develop in their location due to various factors such as the low level of education of the artisans, low level of profesionalism in working, and the low level of ability of the artisans in production management

ABSTRACTThe low level of community participation in the allocation of village funds indicates that the implementation of the village fund allocation still has not fully involved the community in the village financial management process. This is due to the weak leadership influence of the village head as the supreme leader who has full authority and responsibility in managing the region and its community. The low level of community participation has an impact on the lack of community satisfaction and trust in the village administration. This study uses a quantitative data approach supported by qualitative data in the form of in-depth interviews. Respondents consisted of 60 people divided into two categories namelynof community leaders and non-community leaders through stratified random sampling method. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the leadership of the village head on the level of community participation in the utilization of village funds. Keywords: leadership, participation, utilization of village funds----------------ABSTRAKRendahnya tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan dana desa menunjukkan bahwa implementasi dana desa masih belum sepenuhnya melibatkan masyarakat di dalam proses pengelolaan keuangan desa.

ABSTRACT Introduction: The interest in minimalist and barefoot running is growing continuously. However, there is no data on how many runners drop out during this process. Objective: To describe the adhesion and dropout rates of a six-month instructed training program based on barefoot and minimalist footwear running. Methods: Thirty-four recreational runners participated in the study: 20 runners started the race training barefoot, while 14 runners were involved in training with minimalist footwear. Adhesion to intervention programs was evaluated through training spreadsheets and recording attendance at training sessions, while dropouts were evaluated at the end of training. A questionnaire was sent to participants who dropped out of the training, to obtain information related on why they had abandoned it. Results: Considering all participants (n=34), 41.2% of the runners completed six months with reduced plantar protection; 70% of all dropouts occurred in barefoot training; the main reasons for leaving the training were injury/pain (40%) and lack of time/suitable place for training (40%); and the majority of dropouts (50%) occurred in the first month of training. Barefoot training (n=20) showed 70% dropouts, 57.1% of them due to lack of time/suitable place for training; and 71.4% of the dropouts occurred in the first month of the intervention. The training with minimalist footwear (n=14) had fewer dropouts (42.9%) than the barefoot training, all of them due to injury/pain; 50% of them occurred in the third month of intervention. Conclusion: Dropouts usually occur at the beginning of training. Training involving barefoot running has more dropouts than training with minimalist footwear. Intervention programs lasting six months based on minimalist footwear/barefoot seems to have similar adhesion to other supervised exercise programs. The main reasons for dropping out are injury/pain and lack of time/suitable place to run.
