Indonesia has many cultures, customs, tribes, nations and religions. This diversity can lead to conflict, because of incompatibility between individuals with other in accepting the differences. This article discusses the diversity and the role of Islamic religious teachers in implementing multicultural education at SMAN 1 Jombang. The design of this study is qualitative, using such instruments as interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis in this research is reduction, display and conclusion (verification). This research result concludes that the conditions at SMAN 1 Jombang are very diverse, in terms of ethnicity, religion, social status and thinking patterns. Such tribes in the school as Java, Padang, Bugis, Sunda and Madura, then the religion includes Islam, Catholicism and Protestantism. All three are different in their belief and teaching of groups adopted. The leader of school gives freedom to all school citizen to worship and actualize based on their beliefs, so there has never been a conflict led to the diversity. This is because of the role of Islamic religion teachers and others in encouraging multicultural learning based and then resulted character tolerance can grow in the minds and actions of all school members. This study is a study study that analyzes the role of metacognitive strategies with the help of the PQ4R method on academic achievement of PIAUD students at the Sunan Giri Bojonegoro Institute of Islamic Religion. Students in this case are students who follow the learning process in higher education who are required to equip themselves with standardized competencies created with academic achievement, as a provision to take positions and support in an increasingly competitive world of work. Based on the results of data analysis of interviews, observations and questionnaires showed that the use of metacognitive strategies with the help of the PQ4R method had a significant role in student academic achievement in cognitive courses.

To foster character education in Indonesia, research on the role of social capital has become an urgent issue because character crisis is one of the growing concerns and recent stunning news stakes. National identity crises have shown anti-cultural behavior, anti-character, and less use of domestic social capital blatantly. This research aims to describe the role of social capital that determines the implementation of character education through Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s perspectives. This qualitative research was designed as a case study using purposive sampling with individual resources such as headmaster, teacher, student representatives, school committee, parents, foundation management, and school supervisor. This research was conducted at Tamansiswa Primary School, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from November 2017 to January 2018. The research result shows that the social capital role determines the implementation of character education, and in Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s perspective, character education has been applied in all learning processes. Both intra-curricular and extracurricular activities support the school culture, and the family system is an integral part of habituation and exemplary character inculcation at school, family, and societal levels through mutual love, respect, assistance, and help. The obliged elements of social capital in embodying character education are trust, norm, and network.

Abstract Proper hejab observance has long been an important issue to political-religious conservatives in Iran who, in recent years, have relied on metaphorical language to persuade Iranian women to dress modestly in public. The present paper, based on Kövecses’s (2015) account of metaphor in context, explores the role of contextual factors involved in the formation of hejab linguistic metaphors used in 56 pro-hejab billboards and posters. Data analysis indicates that the moral and social status of women are depicted as being determined by, or correlated with, their degree of veiling. On that basis, properly covered up women are shown to be the recipients of very positive metaphorical conceptualizations (as pearls, flowers, and angels), whereas immodestly dressed women are negatively pictured as being subject to sexual objectification (as unwrapped edibles). Moreover, the hejab is a protective cover is shown to be the metaphor instantiated in many of the billboards and posters. The protective function of hejab is highlighted by conceptualizing corrupt men as flies and devils. Finally, the metaphorical patterns represent the contextual role of political and religious ideology, key cultural concepts, and show entrenched conventional conceptual metaphors and metonymies in the production of novel metaphors.

Conflicts that occur in the school environment as the dynamics of a multicultural society. Shaping the character of students' multicultural education is the main responsibility of a teacher. The objectives of the study are 1) To find and explain the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering religious attitudes in multicultural society in schools; 2) To find, understand, and explain the strategy of Islamic Education teachers in implementing multicultural values in schools; 3) To find, understand, and explain what are the obstacles faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers in implementing multicultural education in schools. This research is qualitative descriptive analysis with depth interview method. Data were obtained from interviews with 25 teachers from various subject areas at Cirebon 2 State High School, West Java, Indonesia. The positive role of the teacher can be seen in the attitude of fostering religious awareness and multicultural attitudes in schools by providing religious lessons. The strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in growing religious multiculturalism through sustainable character education learning. The obstacles faced by some education teachers are religious fanaticism, teachers cannot control the implementation of daily interactions and different levels of student awareness.

The background of this research stems from the interest of researchers about the importance of the role of principal leadership in strengthening character education. This study aims to determine the type, role, and implementation of the character education strengthening program at SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative research taking place at SMAN 1 Yogyakarta. Methods of data collection are done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques by transcript, coding, comparing and contrasting. Checking the validity of the data by means of triangulation of sources, triangulation of techniques, and triangulation of time. The results showed that: (1) the type of leadership applied by the principal is a type of democratic leadership where the principal always provides encouragement, motivation and innovation for teachers, employees and students to continue to excel and continue working. (2) The implementation of the character education strengthening program using the habituation and culture methods of 5S (Greetings, Smiles, Greetings, Polite, and Polite) character education strengthening programs are supported by school members so that the program has been implemented optimally. (3) the principal acts as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator and as a motivator.

Islamic religion teachers have significant role in forming their student's religious views and attitudes, especially in the level of senior high school since high school student are in the middle of identity seeking process. But it can be threat if teacher religious attitude are lead to radicalism, while radicalism associated with anti-nationalism. This descriptive quantitative study conducted in Semarang city and involving 47 schools. Samples selected are 47 Islamic religion teachers. Results shows that 97.9% of them regard non-moslem as their comrades, and willing to cooperate in social activities (97.9%), economic (93.6%), and politic (74.5%). While in terms of nationalism, there are 2.1% respondents believe that NKRI (The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia) is not suitable form of state, and 4.3% judge that Pancasila is not the right ideology. And 8.7% suppose that Khilafah is the most appropriate form for Indonesia.

THE ROLE OF PROMOTION ON THE SALE OF CHICKEN RACE EGGS IN THE SUPERMARKETS OF MANADO CITY.This research has been conducted in the supermarkets of Manado City. The res of this research is to what extent promotion plays a role in the sales volume of chicken race eggs in the Supermarkets of Manado. The purposes of this research are to know which promotional tools are used in Supermarkets of Manado and to know the role of promotion to the sales volume of chicken race eggs in Supermarkets of Manado. Sample determination is done by Purposive Sampling. The sampling criteria of this research are : The supermarkets that sell chicken race eggs and the Supermarkets that have sold chicken race eggs for one year. The random sampling to 21 Supermarkets as the respondent from 121 supermarket total in Manado City. The data of research will be tabulated and analyzed. Data analysis model using descriptive analysis approach to study the role of promotions to the sales volume of chicken race eggs.From the research result obtained that the tools of promotions that used on sales proccess of chicken race eggs in Supermarkets of Manado spesifically is packaging with the price and discount. From the data of research shows that the Supermarkets which not used sales promotion precisely the price is higher and the sales volume is very low. While the supermarkets that used the promotions, the price is lower and the sales volume is extremelly high. The sale of Chicken race eggs in Supermarkets of Manado, promotion tools become one of marketing strategy that increasing the sales volume. From the researh result conducted shows that more eggs sold when using the promotional tools. This is because the suppliers and supermarkets want to maintain their name, so that the quality must be maintained and the supermarkets already using the brand or mark, such as Telur Segar and Cap Manguni.Keywords : Promotion, Supermarket, Sales volume, Chicken egg race

A person's personality develops due to the influence of innate personality and the environment, in Javanese local languages affect the development of personality and ethics in behavior. The purpose of this paper is to describe the role of regional languages in the development of personality and behavior of Javanese tribal people. The research method used is a case study, by utilizing data obtained through qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that good personality traits can be formed through the use of good regional languages. The benefits of research are as the basis of a corroborating theory for character education through Javanese language.

 AbstractMulticulturalism means cultural diversity or cultural heterogeneity. It is undeniable that students who enter tertiary institutions come from different regions with different ethnicities, different cultural cultures which can be one of the problems that interfere in the learning process. The naming of different people as mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an seems to be a commandment that must be completed by humans themselves using scientific knowledge. Multicultural Education is habituation or cultural education that provides opportunities for all students regardless of gender, social class, ethnicity, race, ethnicity, religion, and culture. In the Qur'an, several verses explain multiculturalism, including in the QS. Al-Hujurat: 13, Q.S. Ar-Rum: 22. The goals of multicultural education are basically in harmony with character education which leads to one goal, namely good behavior or moral values as the main goal of the Islamic religion is revealed on earth. As a reference in implementing multicultural education, a learning management concept is needed based on the components or important elements that exist in a system to process the achievement of expected goals, namely 1) Strengthening similarities rather than differences, 2) Mutual trust and mutual understanding, 3) Tolerance of differences, 4) Discussion is not imposing opinion.Keywords: Management, Learning, Component, Eduacation, multicultural.AbstrakMultikultural bermakna keragaman kultur atau heterogenitas kebudayaan. Penamaan manusia yang berbeda-beda sebagaimana yang disebutkan Allah dalam Al-Qur’an seolah menjadi sebuah perintah yang harus diselesaikan oleh manusia itu sendiri dengan cara berilmu pengetahuan. Pendidikan Multikutural adalah pendidikan pembiasaan atau pembudayaan yang memberikan kesempatan pada semua  mahasiswanya tanpa memandang jenis kelamin, kelas sosial,  ras, suku, agama, dan budayanya. Dalam Al-Qur’an terdapat beberapa ayat yang menjelaskan tentang multikultural, antara lain terdapat dalam Q.S. Al-Hujurat: 13, Q.S. Ar-Rum: 22. Tujuan pendidikan multikultural ini pada dasarnya selaras pendidikan karakter yang bermuara pada satu tujuan yaitu pada perilaku yang baik atau akhlak karimah sebagaimana pokok tujuan agama Islam diturunkan dimuka bumi ini. Sebagai acuan dalam menerapkan pendidikan multikultural tersebut diperlukan sebuah konsep pengelolaan pembelajaran berdasarkan pada komponen-komponen atau unsur-unsur penting yang ada pada suatu sistem untuk memproses pencapaian tujuan yang diharapkan, yaitu 1) Memperkuat persamaan daripada perbedaan, 2) Saling percaya dan saling pengertian, 3) Toleransi terhadap perbedaan, 4) Berdiskusi bukan memaksakan pendapat.Kata Kunci: Pengelolaan, Pembelajaran, Komponen, Pendidikan, Multikultural
