The article presents the results of studies on the use of a feed additive containing live sporeforming bacteria Bacillus subtilis and live yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, sorbed on activated carbon particles, to pregnant cows for the formation of immunoglobulins in the body and their isolation in colostrum, as well as for the nonspecific resistance of the resulting calves. The experiments were conducted in the winter-spring period, when the body of cows and calves contains a reduced level of nutrients, immunoglobulins and other biologically active substances, which leads to inhibition of the function of both nonspecific resistance factors and specific immunity. It was found that the feed additive had a positive effect on the physiological and biochemical parameters of calves. In the colostrum of cows of the experimental groups, relative to the animals of the control group, the content of immunoglobulins was 36.4% higher. Calves whose mothers received a feed additive for 30 days at a dose of 20 g per head before calving had higher indicators of total protein, albumins, globulins and factors of nonspecific resistance, such as bactericidal and lysozyme activity of blood serum, phagocytic activity of neutrophils.

Introduction. Rabbit meat is an excellent source of dietetic food. High-quality and safe meat production is a priority of the scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation. The research objective was to determine the optimal dose of Echinacea purpurea L. extract in the rabbit diet and study its effect on the physicochemical and morphological quality parameters of rabbit meat. Study objects and methods. At 70 days of age, the experimental animals started to receive various doses of a phytobiotic feed additive based on the Echinacea purpurea extract. The experiment lasted 30 days. Results and discussion. The daily dose of 1.0 g and 1.5 g per animal proved to stimulate the redox processes in the rabbit metabolism. The body weight of the test animals significantly increased compared with the control group. The test slaughter revealed a high level of meat productivity. The animals in experimental groups II and III showed the best slaughter indicators. Each animal received 1.5 g of the extract per day. The morphological composition of chilled carcass indicated that the additive had a positive effect on the mass indicators. According to the physical and chemical analysis, the contents of water, protein, and ash in the experimental group was the same as in the control group. The ratio of unsaturated and saturated fatty acids in the control group was 1.34:1, while in the experimental group III is was 1.39:1. This optimal proportion proved a high biological value of rabbit meat, which makes it a dietary product. The phytobiotic additive proved commercial as the test animals demonstrated an intensive weight gain compared with the control group. Experimental groups II and III showed the best slaughter indicators. Conclusion. 1.5 g of the extract of Echinacea purpurea had a positive effect on the composition and physicochemical parameters of rabbit meat, as well as meat production.

The physiological state of animals is to a certain extent characterized by hematological indicators, since blood occupies a special place in the body. By transferring nutrients and biologically active substances, the blood performs the general regulation of vital functions of the body. The use of Vitartil as a feed additive in the diets of animals leads to an increase in glycolytic processes and a decrease in the body’s need for oxygen delivery, which contributes to the growth of the animal body. The purpose of the research was to study the changes in blood parameters taking into account the age of Hereford steers against the background of the use of Vitartil feed additive to the main diet and its effect on the productive traits of animals. In order to carry out the experiment two groups of steers-analogs of Hereford breed have been formed at the age of 6 months per 10 heads in each. The difference between the groups was that the steers of the experimental group have been received the feed additive Vitartil in addition to the main diet. The greater yield of the meat part was in the steers of the experimental group in comparison with the herdmates of the control group. This indicator in the experimental group was 78,9 %, while in the control group it was lower by 1,6 %. The animals of the experimental group were superior to their herdmates in terms of meat weight by 1,4 kg or by 8,8 %. The relative number of bones was lower in the experimental group and amounted to 18,4 %, and in the control group 19,2 %. The meat content index was high in the steer have been received the biologically active additive Vitartil and was 4,3, and in the control group 4,0. It has been found that the use of Vitartil feed additive to the main diet of Hereford steers increases the blood content of hemoglobin and glucose, which has a certain effect on the morphological and chemical composition of meat, as well as increases its energy value.

Unbalanced mineral and vitamin nutrition of lactating cows can be a critical factor in the realization of their productive potential. The development and introduction into production of inexpensive, but effective feed additives is the main trend of improving the feeding of modern animal husbandry. Under the conditions of the Tyumen region such natural raw materials can be sapropels, which successfully combine a variety of biologically active substances. The purpose of the research was to study the digestibility of nutrients and energy metabolism in lactating cows when sapropel is included in the ration. Scientifi c and economic experiment in the study of the effectiveness of feeding sapropel lake Nepryak has been carried out in the training and experimental farm of the State Northern Trans-Urals Agrarian University. The animals of the control group have been fed the main diet. Cows of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups have been fed 300 and 500 g of sapropel per head/day, respectively, in addition to the main ration. It has been found as a result of research that the introduction of sapropel into the ration of cows has a positive effect on the digestibility of nutrients. The digestibility coefficients were higher in the animals of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups compared with the cows of the control group. Cows from the experimental groups digested all the organic substances of the ration better. During the experiment period cows of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups in contrast to the control group had higher milk yield by 11,31 and 10,38 %, respectively, milk protein yield by 10,56 and 5,95 %, milk fat yield by 17,18 and 12,99 %. It has been established that the introduction of sapropel into the ration of cows has the positive effect on the digestibility of nutrients, contributes to the increase of milk productivity, normalizes the metabolism in the body.

Currently, it is important in aquaculture to study and use products and additives, which have positive effects on the digestibility of nutrients by helping to normalize the intestinal microflora, thereby modulating fish immune response. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of a prebiotic based on mannan oligosaccharides produced from the outer walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells on the histological structure, morphometric state of the intestine and activity of cellular and humoral components of nonspecific resistance of age -2+ carp. The experiment was conducted in four analogous ponds, which were stocked with age-1 scaly carp with an average weight of 55–58 g with a stocking density of 1000 fish/ha. Carp had been fed balanced compound feed for 60 days. Experimental groups of fish were fed with a prebiotic as a feed additive in the amount of: 0.025 % – Experiment 1, 0.05 % – Experiment 2 and 0.075 % – Experiment 3. Use of the studied prebiotic did not damage the intestinal histological structure of carp of the experimental groups. The villi height and intestinal crypt depth of carp in Experiment 1 (P < 0.05) and Experiment 2 (P < 0.01) were larger compared to the control group. Experiment 3 showed destructive changes in intestinal mucosa. The results of histological examination indicated the effectiveness of the use of the studied prebiotic in the amount of 0.025 and 0.05 % in the diet of age -1+ carp due to the absence of pathological changes and active morphofunctional state of the intestine, which, in turn, had a positive effect on feed absorption and metabolic processes in fish body. Analysis of the indicators of cellular and humoral links of natural resistance showed that in carp of the second and third experimental groups lysozyme activity of serum was 5 and 11 % (P < 0.001) higher than in the control group. Similar changes, though found in a greater extent, were recorded in the study of bactericidal activity of blood serum, especially in individuals of the second and third experimental groups (by 6.8 (P < 0.01) and 15.2 %). While with carps of the third experimental group, which used a prebiotic drug in the amount of 0.075 %, the content of CEC was 20.5 % higher than in the control group, which indicates an additional antigenic load on the body and is an unfavorable diagnostic factor. At the same time, with the fish of the second experimental group, which received, respectively, 0.05 % of the supplement of the drug “Actigen” to the main diet, probably higher phagocytic activity of blood neutrophils was recorded. A direct dependence of the growth of the phagocytic index and the phagocytic number of neutrophils on the dose of the studied prebiotic was detected. Immunological studies indicated a dose-dependent effect of the prebiotic on the activity of cellular and humoral components of non-specific resistance of carp. Given this, for the effective functioning of innate protective mechanisms, for the increase of the body's immune potential and productivity, it is most appropriate to apply to the diet of carp prebiotic supplement “Actigen” in the amount of 0.025 and 0.05 %.

Aim of the research was to study the effect of premix with buffering properties in diets for newborn cows on their milk production, blood biochemical composition, microbiological parameters of scar fluid and its acidity. The experiment was carried out on 2 groups of calving black-motley cows, selected on the basis of the pair-analogue principle with 6 animals each. The first, control group of cows received a ration adopted on the farm. The second group of animals received the same diet, only instead of 0.5 kg of compound feed they used a multicomponent mineral premix enriched with biologically active additives, which has buffering properties, which is very important in the newborn period of cows. Feeding premix with buffering properties in the composition of the main diet to newborn cows contributed to an increase in the consumption of dry matter by animals. Since the cows of the second experimental group consumed more nutrients, a significant increase in the average daily milk yield was found. The studied premix helped establish a tendency to improve metabolic processes in the body of ruminants. In a scientific experiment, a positive effect of the buffer premix on the microbiological parameters of scar fluid, as well as its acidity and acid-binding ability, was established. The consumption of more nutrients was due to a significant increase in average daily milk yields by 9.1%. The results of biochemical studies of blood serum allow us to say that all indicators characterizing the metabolism were within the physiological norm in cows of both groups. Also, a qualitative change for the better in the microbiological parameters of scar fluid was noted. Feeding the studied premix to experienced animals contributed to the additional profit of 4069.8 rubles per head.

Full-fledged feeding of milking cows, based on scientifically based standards, is the key to realizing their genetic potential for productivity, preserving health, normalizing reproductive capacity, as well as the rational use of fodder resources and the proper payment of feed. Nowadays, the situation regarding the standardization of cattle feeding in the world and domestic, both in scientific and industrial practice, has changed radically, which requires a significant revision of the traditional provisions on the organization of full feeding of cows, especially high-productive ones. At the same time, the conceptual requirements for the organization of standardized nutrition and full feeding of dairy cattle should be based on the generalization of the world experience of the animal's need for energy, nutrients and biologically active substances, taking into account age and level of productivity, conditions of keeping with special emphasis on quality and products. In conditions of intensive milk production, in order to ensure high productivity and at the same time to maintain the health of animals, it is impossible to do it without the use of fodder of a natural substance, which should include additives with a probiotic effect. One of these is the “PROGAL” feed additive, which contains a probiotic component: Laktobacilus casei strain (CM 1759), a potentiating component is maltodextrin, a fructo-oligosaccharide, and is a probiotic additive for ruminants. High dairy productivity requires constant monitoring of metabolism, animal health, early diagnosis and timely treatment and prevention. The whole process of metabolism takes place in the digestive tract and is transmitted to the cells of the body through blood. This explains the relevance of the study of biochemical processes in rumination. The basis of the research is the task of optimizing the normalized feeding of real cows due to the use in the diet of probiotic supplement “PROGAL” on the background of a semi-concentrated juicy silage-hay type feeding. On the basis of scientific-economic (90 days) experiment, to determine its influence on the processes of digestion in the rumen, milk productivity and quality indicators of milk and to conclude on the optimal amount of it in the diet. The studies were conducted on Simmental cows in the conditions of the “Pchany-Denkovych” farm in the Zhydachiv district of Lviv region. It was found that feeding of the diet with feed supplements “PROGAL” aided to improve the intensity of metabolic processes in the body of cows, in particular in the rumen. Possible growth of amylo- and cellulosolytic and proteolytic bacteria was found, which ensured their enzyme activity and caused intensive hydrolysis of feed carbohydrates, resulting in an increase in LFA as precursors to milk fat. A positive result was obtained with respect to the level of dairy productivity of the cows of the experimental groups in comparison with the control group on the average daily milk yield, which is 1.0–2.3 kg, or 4.4–9.7% more. There was a steady upward trend in fat content in milk by 0.05% and protein by 0.02–0.04%, which indicates an improvement in its quality. Consequently, the studies conducted concerning the estimation of the productive action of bio supplement “PROGAL” on milking productivity of cows and quality indicators of milk, gives reason to confirm the feasibility of its use in the structure of the diet when feeding cows. The optimal dose of compound feed is 10 g/day, the maximum dose can be no more than 15 g/day. No adverse effects of “PROGAL” supplement on the overall functional status of cows were found.

The research objective is to establish Hyplus meat breed of young rabbits and to determine growth and development characteristics during the period from weaning to slaughter age under conditions of the biologically active feed additive of humic nature «Humilid» introducted into their general diet. The control and experimental groups of animals were formed according to the principle of similar groups. Experiment study lasted for 35 days, including 7 days preparatory period, 21 days research period and 7 days aftereffect period. The young rabbits of the control and experimental groups were fed with the main diet, which included compound feed with an individual calculation of nutrients per animal. The young rabbits of the experimental group were additionally injected with a biologically active feed additive «Humilid» in the form of an aqueous solution in an amount of 5 mg/kg of body weight according to the active substance to the main diet for 21 days. During the experiment, the effect of «Humilid» on the growth and development of young rabbits and their physiological state was studied. The weighing of young rabbits in the experimental groups was carried out once a week. At the same time, their body weight was determined on average and average daily growth, the safety of the livestock, in addition, the weight and mass index of the liver, heart and kidneys after slaughter by the calculation method. With the introduction of the feed additive «Humilid» to young rabbits, an increase in the body weight of the animals is observed throughout the experiment. The body weight on average of young animals of the experimental group exceeded this indicator in comparison with animals in the control group by 17.2 % (p˂0.001). Under the conditions of the introduction of the biologically active feed additive «Humilid» over the period of the experiment, the average daily weight gain of young rabbits in the experimental group was higher by 20.7 % (p˂0.01) compared to this indicator in the animals of the control group, respectively. The safety of the livestock was 100% in both groups. However, it should be noted that young rabbits of the control group had more pronounced motor activity and signs of anxiety than the animals of the experimental group, which obtained the feed additive of humic nature «Humilid». When «Humilid» was used in the diet, the mass of organs and the index of their development in young rabbits in the experimental and control groups of animals were within the range of age-related changes, which indicates the non-toxic effect of this additive.

Abstract Moringa oleifera (MO) is a widely used as the nutritious and non-traditional feed supplementation containing kinds of bioactive substances. However, the enhancement effect of Moringa oleifera leaf Polysaccharide (MOLP) as a feed additive in broilers growth performance and immunity remains unclear. In this study, MOLP was obtained by water extraction and alcohol precipitation method, then purified with Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) assay. Chickens were randomly divided into 4 groups, to receive different doses of MOLP (0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4g/kg) in feed for 3 weeks. The body weight gain (BWG) and feed consumption were recorded for feed conversion ratio (FCR) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) calculation. Broiler chickens were sacrificed and sampled on day 14, 21, 28 (D 14, D 21, and D 28) respectively. Serological indicators, including total protein (TP), albumin (ALB), globulin (GLO), and creatinine (CREA) were detected. ELISA kits were applied for detecting the levels of immunoglobulin A (IgA), immunoglobulin G (IgG), interleukin-2 (IL-2), and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α). From D 21 to D 28, the results showed that middle dose of MOLP significantly increased BWG and ADFI as well as liver and bursa indexes when compared with the control group. In addition, TP and GLO were also increased (P<0.05). All MOLP treatments enhanced the serum concentrations of IgG and IL-2 (P<0.01). Furthermore, results of quantitative RT-PCR showed that high dose of MOLP treatment significantly increased (P<0.001) the mRNA expression levels of IL-2 and TNF-α of chickens relative to the control group. In conclusion, the results showed that MOLP supplementation contributed to improve growth performance and immune response in broiler chickens, and MOLP could be considered as a promising feed additive.

Determining which forms of mineral feed additives can increase farm animal productivity is a key area of research. This study assessed the mineral composition of ruminal fluid and the effectiveness of calcium and phosphorus used by animals after the introduction of finely dispersed particles (FDP) of SiO2 (group I) and FeCo (group II) with a hydrodynamic radius of 109.6 ± 16.6 and 265 ± 25 nm, respectively. The deposition and use of calcium and phosphorus in the body of the experimental animals exceeded the control values. In group I, 30.8% more calcium was deposited (p ≥ 0.05), and in group II, the value was 30.3% (p ≥ 0.01). In the experimental groups, the calcium utilization rate was 27.3% higher in group I (p ≥ 0.05), and 28.2% higher in group II (p ≥ 0.01) compared to in the control. Phosphorus deposition was 34% higher (p ≤ 0.01) in experimental group I and 6% higher in experimental group II, compared with the control. Group I had a high utilization rate of phosphorus from the feed (with a 29% difference compared to the control). Comparison of the experimental groups revealed that the introduction of SiO2 FDP promoted an increase in the concentration of silicon, phosphorus, and calcium in the ruminal fluid. The introduction of FeCo FDP was accompanied by a decrease in the concentration of iron and cobalt in the ruminal fluid. Thus, the use of feed additive in finely dispersed form in the diet of animals was accompanied by an increase in the use of calcium and phosphorus by the animal’s body, which is advisable when intensifying milk and meat productivity. The obtained results require further research. Keywords: finely dispersed forms of microelements, ruminants, calcium and phosphorus exchange, feeding
