The paper deals with one of the areas in the development of pedagogical skills of art teachers and the role of reflexive pedagogy in shaping creative personality in the system of training of future designers. One of the critical issues in design education is to bridge the gap between the information provided and its practical demand. During their years of study, students acquire too much and too little knowledge at the same time. Much knowledge refers to its volume, whereas little knowledge implies their adequacy to particular circumstances under which they have to work. Reflexive pedagogy can help to solve this issue. The paper considers the most common definitions of the term “reflection”. It indicates that pedagogical reflection of a design teacher is a system of linguistic and thinking processes, ensuring the realization of goals of future designers’ professional training and education in the system of artistic and pedagogical interaction. It demonstrates that cultural reflection is aimed at rethinking cultural acts and one’s cultural experience. It justifies the obtained results to reveal fundamentally essential conditions for developing professional reflection. It proves that many psycho-pedagogical studies cover the issue of professional reflection of art teachers, and there is no concept of its development for future designers. Therefore, it is essential to find out how to develop reflexion of students and university teachers. The paper concludes that one’s ability to generate new and non-standard ideas should be considered as one of the conditions for developing creative thinking of university teachers, boosting their self-confidence and promoting individual independence of vision.

The process of translation is treated as a sequence of three principal stages (pre-translation source text analysis, translation itself, self-assessment/editing). The chapter is aimed at proving that the first and the third stages of the translation process are based on critical thinking, while the second stage (translation itself) rests upon creative thinking. Therefore, teaching critical thinking must be a necessary part of translator professional training, because it is not only important as such, but also leads students to acquisition of mature creative thinking, which is crucial for translation problem-solving. In this chapter, the problem of training translation quality assessment is analyzed, the difference between critical and creative thinking is discussed, and psychological mechanisms of their functioning in translation are treated as a cognitive process; the role of critical thinking in raising translators' awarenesses and, consequently, translation quality is stressed.

The article examines and substantiates the structural components of independent work as an effective pedagogical condition, which ensures the development of intellectual and creative abilities of future music teachers. The author distinguishes the following key structural components: methodical, musical performance, and field-research. With its particular specialization, each component contributes to the constitution of an integral unity in achieving the development of intellectual and creative abilities. The study substantiates the essence of each of the presented components. It has been proven that the methodical component performs the function of the basic components in the structure of independent work. Methodical training contributes to the effective qualifications process as well as selection of techniques, methods, and exercises to improve professional training. Musical performance is considered as a process that determines the development of intellectual and creative abilities of future music instructors by forming intellectual and creative thinking through the use of different ways of cognitive activities. Also, the musical performances of the future music teachers during independent work involves solving a number of creative tasks. At the same time, you need to use interactive teaching methods that are aimed at optimizing the educational process. The field-research component provides students with artistic creativity as well as pedagogical skills, which contributes to the enrichment of their intellectual potentials and formation of research thinking, as a result, expanding their analytical, intellectual and creative skills. Within the research component, it has been assumed that the formation of research skills contributes not only to the research culture, but also to the highest level of development of intellectual and creative abilities for upcoming music teachers.

The article is an intensive search for new ways and forms of improving the quality of training of future primary school teachers in the higher education system with sufficiently deep scientific knowledge, research, pedagogical and methodological skills. The professional training of the future teacher, his pedagogical skills, qualifications, knowledge, intellectual and general culture are considered. The professionalism of a modern teacher is reflected in the fact that he solves communicative problems not intuitively, but consciously, on the basis of psychological and pedagogical laws.Teachers note a low level of individual and personal foundations of communication skills among schoolchildren, which negatively affects the results and quality of their practical, grammatical and external speech skills, constructive communication, subsequent social self-realization and productivity.

As a special professional discipline the design of lighting is a part of learning program of the department of Environmental Design in Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts. The training of designers working with light and lighting equipment requires the special methodize, and the elaboration of such methodize becomes more and more urgent in modern school. We see solution in the combination of traditional art studies and environmental design with modern digital design technologies. All the factors of the lighting content of our environment such as lighting technique and technologies are considered during the learning process. Those branches of professional training are closely connected with the whole design culture and that gives us an opportunity to use a multidisciplinary approach. The study in the lighting design takes one term. That’s enough for the concept of the fragment of urban environment including the elements of the lighting content. The basics of art and the skills of creative thinking also help to achieve a high level of final design and to develop aesthetic skills of students. The new horizons of the lighting design are opened with the new profile of education on our department: a Multimedia Design providing an extensive digital ground for design process. All these means can help us to create a unique ground for the design education, for the contacts between students and possible customers, and also to attract some new, talented tutors.

Much research has emphasized the importance of ‘learning by doing’ in design education. Reasoning methods would be an effective strategy to support students’ reflection-in-action in designing. ‘Knowing how’ is associated with ‘design thinking’, and further, with ‘creativity’, which is essential for design outcomes. This research explores the potential of reasoning methods, specifically analogical reasoning and metaphorical reasoning, in design education for encouraging students to produce creative thinking in a design studio. For one semester, students were educated to adopt analogies and metaphors in designing and how students approached given design problems to produce design ideas was observed. The results showed that adopting reasoning methods as a teaching strategy in a design studio encouraged the development of the students’ design thinking by reorienting their approach to design, which eventually led to enhanced creativity in designing. Based on the results, this research presents critical issues to be considered for encouraging students to utilize analogical and metaphorical reasoning in designing.

Annotation. This article is devoted to the problem of forming socio-communicative competence in future doctors. The aim of the study was to determine the structural components of the socio-communicative competence of future doctors. Methods of generalization and systematization, correlation and comparison of scientific sources and regulatory documents are used. It is established that the structure of socio-communicative competence of future doctors includes the following components: motivation-value, emotional-volitional and perceptual. The motivation-value component of socio-communicative competence implies the presence of certain knowledge and skills that allow to consider a person and his/her health as the highest value. The emotional-volitional component includes certain volitional features: determination, self-confidence, independence, initiative, courage, concentration, self-organization, purposefulness, willpower and stability of will, as well as the ability to control one's emotions and behavior, the ability to establish positive and productive communication with the patient. The perceptual component reflects the role of perception in forming a holistic image of a person as a patient, includes the ability of a doctor to perceive and understand the state of another person, the information received and provide an adequate response. Therefore, the presence of socio-communicative competence in future doctors is a mandatory element of their professional training and the key to further successful practical activities. We see the prospect of further research in determining the state of formation of socio-communicative competence in medical students, as well as in the theoretical substantiation of organizational and pedagogical settings for the formation of socio-communicative competence of future doctors in the process of studying natural disciplines.
