The study of the Ukrainian terminology of management shows that one of the sources of its formation is morphological word-formation. Formation of terms occurs mainly on the same word-building models and with the help of the very word-formation affixes, which also create the words of the general literary language, but there are some specific features inherent only in the terminological word-formation. The suffixal method is noted for high productivity, in particular, the foreign language suffix – аці/j/- and the Ukrainian -нн-. Word formulation refers to the productive methods of term creation. Great performance in the terms of management, which are formed by word-building, has a noun manager. High activity in the processes of nomination of concepts, processes, phenomena, etc., of management, reveals the basic formulation. The most productive are complicated adjective phrases, which are structurally morphologically divided into four species. Abbreviation is an active terminology in the analyzed terminology. The peculiarity of the studied terminology system is the use in the professional literature of abbreviations-anglicisms, recorded mostly in Latin graphics, rarely – in Ukrainian.

The article attempts to analyze the sociological term as a unit of the branch terminology. Emphasizing the basic classification features of the sociological term unit, establishing hierarchical relations between terms and multi-compound terms, defining the structural and semantic specifics of the Ukrainian sociological terminology system, the authors come to the conclusion about the important role of the studied terminology in the formation and functioning of the Ukrainian literary language. According to our research, extralinguistic factors play an important role in the formation of the Ukrainian sociological terminology and the ordering of the terminology units: the emergence of a certain field of knowledge, the time of its appearance, which actualizes the need to determine the source of the basic terminological vocabulary, the basic models of the creation of terms, and others. Getting used to the designation of the corresponding scientific concept, the sociological term is characterized by a number of differential features, among which the main ones are: nominacy, definition, the designation of systemic relations and relationships within the sociological terminology system, adjacent branch terminology systems and commonly used vocabulary, the motivation that is realized in three types that correspond to the three main methods of terminological word-formation (morphological, syntactic, and semantic), and others.

The article is devoted to the research of the Latin medical-veterinary clinical terminology system – one of the subsystems of general medical-veterinary terminology. The ways of formation of the Latin Sublanguage of clinical veterinary medicine are analyzed, sources of its replenishment are determined; It was discovered that most of the terms are composed using terms of Greek-Latin origin, which is a decisive trend in the development of the terminology of veterinary medicine and in our time.It is investigated that for the modern terminological word formation of clinical veterinary vocabulary all main methods are typical, by means of which the vocabulary of the veterinary doctor is replenished: semantical, syntactical, morphological. In the article a word-formation, lexical-semantic and syntactical analysis of the Latin clinical veterinary terminology was made for the first time; the main word-building models are described, the derivation processes, word-formation fortresses of the Latin clinical veterinary terms are described and the complex of methods of their word-formation are analyzed;defined the status and semantic characteristics of formants– components of the term; the lexical-semantic features of the studied terminology are revealed; attention was paid to etymology, the phenomenon of derivation and the most productive affixes and term elements in the structure of one-word clinical veterinary terms. The systematization of term elements according to thematic groups that are in a certain lexical-semantic relationship is carried out, namely: termelements, which denote the names of sciences, treatment, methods of diagnostic examination, surgical techniques; word-formation elements for the designation of organs of animals and tissues; therapeutic methods, names of pathological changes of organs and tissues; term elements that denote various physical properties, quality, color, size; word-formation elements to denote functional changes, processes, and states. The attention is paid to the morphological and syntactical structure of single, dual, and verbose clinical terms with different types of definitions. We consider one of the most important tasks of modern linguistics - not only to fix, study and analyze lexical-semantic innovation processes in terminology, but also codify the terminology system itself. Therefore, one of the priority directions of terminological work in the field of veterinary medicine at the present stage is the normalization of clinical terminology, that is, the revision of the terminology system in accordance with the conceptual basis and norms of the Latin and Ukrainian scientific languages. As the most important aspect, we consider the development of a single concept of terminology, which uses the experience and positive achievements of scientists of different generations.Provision of linguistic normative terms should take place at all levels – both conceptual and actual language – phonetic, orthoepic, spelling, lexical-semantic, word-building, morphological, syntactical.

The vocabulary of literary language of modern English that becomes rich these days we can see from the development process of its word formation. The role of history of prefixes in forming of new words in the word building is extensive. The article was explored the charachteristics of the history of the English language prefixes. During the Ancient and Middle Ages, prefixes were commonly used less in word formation than before. The decrease in prefixes, of course, is due to certain reasons. Some English prefixes, on the other hand, are derived from OE adverbs and prepositions, and ME and NE are more advanced in number in the creation of new words.

The question of existence of national and borrowed units, the development and adaptation of foreign terminology is always relevant in the Ukrainian linguistics. The foreign language terminological units that expanded into national terminological systems were always of great interest for researches who are studying borrowings in terminology and the causes of this process. In spite of the fact that terminological nomination and the role of the national and borrowed elements in the formation of terminological systems of different branches of knowledge were analyzed. The general and multi-dimensional characteristics of borrowings are required for the Ukrainian terminological system of museum affairs The Ukrainian terminological system of museum science can develop, change, reflecting all the realities of modern life. The history of the development of science, the change of scientific views, as well as integration, cultural and linguistic connections ‒ all these are reflected in the terminological system as a whole, and in separate terms. The terms borrowed from different languages began to operate at different stages of development of museum science. The Ukrainian terminological fund of the museum science was replenished with borrowings from Greek, Latin, French, etc. as a result of interlanguage relations. Foreign language units replenished the Ukrainian museum affair with varying intensity in different periods of its formation. The terminological units, that are complex nouns, in the structure of which there are bases or terminological elements of different origin, belong to the terminological apparatus of the professional language of the museum workers. We distinguish in the terminological system of the museum science hybrid terminological formations that arise as a result of derivation mainly from foreign language bases with the help of specific word-formation formants. The foreign language components that serve as international terminological elements involved in the formation of terms. It should also be noted about the presence of the mixed structures from two languages that are active in the terminological system of museum science, created by combining the bases or terminological elements. The modern Ukrainian terminological system of museum science is characterized by the genetic heterogeneity of its units that reflects the long historical process of formation of the terminological system and the influence of various languages and extra-language factors.

The article is about topical issues of teaching Russian word-formation to foreign students. Polyparadigmatic approach of Modern Linguistics is applied to the theory and practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language, particularly Russian word-formation. Allthough the functional-communicative approach to the study and presentation of language material in the aspect of Russian as a foreign language has the dominant position, it is productive to turn to the methods of cognitive linguistics and linguoculturology. Russian word-formation system units such as the word-formation paradigm and the word-formation nest are used as a basis for the development of foreign students' speech within such conversation topics as «Russian Nature» and «The role of animals in Human life».

The emphasis is on dynamic processes and actualization of specific models and means of word formation in the modern Ukrainian language. The concept of neosemantization is described, which reflects a wide range of methods for updating nominative units, as well as hyponyms: internal (introspective) word formation, secondary nomination, semantic derivation, lexico-semantic way of word formation. The reasons for the quantitative and qualitative modification in the terminological system of the publishing and printing sphere are outlined: the development of the editorial specialty, the tendency of increasing the volume of Ukrainian-language scientific, popular science, educational, periodical professional literature, the growth of the number of Ukrainian translations of foreign-language professional literature. It is proved that the characteristic feature of term creation at the present stage of the development of the printing and publishing sphere is intensive scientific work in the field of national lexicography, the search for optimal models of terminology, taking into account the peculiarities of the Ukrainian resource of terminological systems. For this purpose, the types of semantic derivation are analyzed on the examples of lexemes represented in the terminological dictionaries of the public-polygraphic sphere and scientific and educational works that represent the particular branch of scientific knowledge (aparat, blok, liniika, korydor, khvist, spusk, holovka, vhaniaty, vyhaniannia etc.). Various methods of verbalization of concepts about processes and phenomena of this branch, optimal ways of termination taking into account features of the Ukrainian language resource of terminological systems on the basis of the theory of G. Paul about varieties of semantic changes are considered: 1) narrowing; 2) amplification and 3) the transfer of the value of the already existing word to another object of the nomination, metaphorization of its available values. A comparative analysis of semantic changes was made based on academic general dictionaries (Dictionary of the Ukrainian language in 11 volumes (1970-1980) and Dictionary of the Ukrainian language in 11 volumes. Additional volume in two books (2017) and the edition “Norms of the Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Language. Interpretative Dictionary of Terms in the Publishing, Printing and Packaging Sector” edited by P. Talanchuk etc. (2006). The active development of the modern Ukrainian publishing and printing terminology system is demonstrated, as evidenced by the emergence of new terms-the generic notions of this sphere of Ukrainian society, as well as the creation of new terms-hyponyms to clarify already known concepts. It is shown that the verbalization of such new concepts is carried out based on both specific and borrowed resources of the nomination. In this area, we observe a system of external, inter-systemic and intra-system polysemy, different types of semantic derivation, the consequences of which are the termination or secondary termination of the studied words, intra-language migration of terms. The multidisciplinary nature of the printing industry is generalized and the necessity of determining the semantic content of the defined terms and their standardization within the limits of the studied terminology system is generalized.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of the language of the Ukrainian media as an indicator of the linguistic culture of modern society. Research methodology. The interdisciplinary nature of the study led to the use of general scientific methods, in particular, unstructured systematic observation and descriptive technique. The scientific novelty lies in the generalization of linguistic trends in modern media, in explaining the reasons for linguistic shifts in recent decades. The article notes the dominant position in the stylistic system of our time of the language of the media, which has become the main factor in the productive functioning of the Ukrainian language, a factor that determines its cultural, historical, and historical and linguistic originality. In addition, the language of the media plays the role of a kind of model of the national language in the information society, largely shaping literary norms, language tastes, and preferences, influencing the perception of politics, art, literature, and the like. Hence the urgent need to comply with the language of the media literary norms. Conclusions. The conclusions note that one of the most important areas of studying the cultural aspect of the language of the media is to find out how the latter affects culture. The essence of this influence lies in the fact that the language of the media, which covers practically unlimited topics, significantly affects the literary language, and through it, the culture. The language of the media enriches the literary language, saturating it with evaluative turns, forming a refined language, developing techniques, and methods of discussion and polemics. Developing a literary language, the language of the media also contributes to the development of culture due to, for example, the qualities of speech such as flexibility, wealth, and a variety of functions. It is emphasized that the power and advantage of journalism plays an important role in the language of the media - in the direct impact on the addressee, the audience. Therefore, the mission of a journalist is to positively influence the mass audience, to correct its motivation, behavior, and worldview. It is concluded that the language of the media should be exemplary in terms of the competent use of linguistic ethics, correct word usage, the richness of vocabulary, expressive word-formation. Attention is drawn to the fact that the role of neological vocabulary in the media, which reflects the current processes in society, remains a problem in media speech. Further research is also required by the question of the characteristics of the media language and the prospects for its development.

The article states that the organization of modern production and commercial structures, changes in the political and economic life of our state contribute to the active replenishment of the Ukrainian language with the new terms of the economic sphere. It is noted that at the present stage, foreign-language borrowings take a significant place in the lexical composition of the Ukrainian literary language, because in general appearing of borrowings in terminology is a natural process common for all languages of the world. There remain actual proposals that the full development of a given terminology system is possible only under the condition the balance of national and international components is preserved. New economic terms have filled our language and at present time, this tendency is preserved. It has been found out that having a significant word-formation and lexical vocabulary, the Ukrainian language can present such subtle shades of meanings that can not be represented in other words. It has been proved that this contributes to the selection of a successful national term, therefore, it is not necessary to abuse our language with foreign-language words. An important role in the preparation of a language-competent specialist belongs to the language, in particular, to such an important its branch as terminology. It is known that terminological vocabulary plays an important role in the vocabulary of the Ukrainian literary language. It is the indicator of the development level of scientific vocabulary in society and, as a result, of science in general. Terminological vocabulary is a kind of barometer that determines the level of vocational education, since rich and branched terminology is undoubtedly one of the important indicators of the level of vocational education in the state. The vocabulary of the economic profile is that part of the vocabulary of the language, which includes the concepts denoting the names of objects, phenomena, processes of socio-economic life. It is connected with relevant sciences and spheres of economic life - management, marketing, finance, law, production, taxation, statistics, insurance, etc. To one of the main sources of the formation of modern Ukrainian economic vocabulary belong foreign language borrowings. At the same time, at the Ukrainian language professionally-oriented classes of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, in the process of teaching economic terminology, much attention is paid to the Ukrainian terms, which determine the national specificity of the Ukrainian language, for example: funds, estimates, cost, purchase, sale, etc., to their formation and correct use in professional language. In the modern world, terminology plays an important role in people’s communicating as it is a powerful source of information. Besides, terminology is a part of the vocabulary that is extremely sensitive to external influences. The maximum number of foreign language borrowings is recorded in those areas where the closest interaction of languages and cultures occurs. This is primarily economy. Modern economic terminology is being renewed, improved according to the development and improvement of the economic sphere. The process of correlation of national and foreign-language components in the system of Ukrainian financial and economic terminology is especially felt today, when the dynamics of borrowing English-language terminology units as special names of new phenomena and concepts has become much more active. At the same time, we observe a tendency towards excessive usage of borrowings of English-speaking origin in financial and economic terminology, unjustified usage of foreign language units under the condition of existing the autochthonous correspondences with the same meaning. Therefore, the need for a professional evaluation of English term usage in the financial and economic terminology of the Ukrainian language is in time.

The outburst of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought forth replenishment of the Mass Media lexis. The paper aims at studying new word formation trends in the semantic field of COVID-19 in the English Media Landscape. The study of coinages connected with the coronavirus disease has the following goals: to determine ways of their word formation, word-building models and to single out their productive types. Analysis of neologisms related to the coronavirus disease has shown that current limitations in people’s social lives have a strong impact on their communication and on their choice of language means and tools in particular. New elements of on-line communication: innovations in paralinguistic means and stylistic neologization of the Internet discourse suggest the appearance of a new communicative genre. New coinages associated with COVID-19 are divided into the three thematic groups. The first class includes medical terms that replenished common lexis and nominations, belonging to the regulations of people’s lives; the second group is represented by lexical innovations of mundane character, which sometimes have their colloquial equivalents; the third category covers jocular words related to the topic of the coronavirus disease. The findings of the investigation allow us to make a conclusion that the potential of telescopy, affixation, clipping and abbreviation as of major word-forming ways is retained, and that the role of compounding and composition in coining of split nominations (word combinations) is increasing. New mixed abbreviation types have been described, the emergence of their new derivatives has been registered. The data also show that English has become a donor for other languages providing terms-internationalisms (e.g. lockdown, sanitizer). Semantic word formation on the material of coinages from the English Internet discourse is attested by metaphorisation of common lexis. Determinization of medical lexemes and processes of lexical units’ migration between the different linguistic styles of English can be retraced.
