The Barfordshire Police Call Centre project began as an attempt to find a more efficient way of dealing with the public. Arguably, what this study has demonstrated is that often, in the quest for technical efficiency, effectiveness, which requires attention to both technical and human issues, is compromised. By taking a more human centered approach, focusing on the whole information system rather than just the information technology, those factors left unsolved by the new technology have been addressed, and a way has been found to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of this project.

Healthcare delivery systems are evolving with the advances in health information technology (HIT) development and its applications to coordinated or guided care for polychronic conditions. The design features of artificial intelligence in healthcare reflect the public interest in optimizing care coordination and communication between providers and patients. This article offers a practical evaluation and assessment of the relevance of theoretical frameworks and appropriate methodologies to formalize a multi-criteria optimization of a logic model applicable for achieving the system’s efficiency and effectiveness. In specifying theoretical constructs and evaluation methods for HIT evaluation, a three-fold purpose is to show the relevance of personal and behavioral determinants of HIT use, articulate the need for developing a transdisciplinary framework, and formulate appropriate multilevel modeling and causal analysis of the determinants of HIT use and its impacts on chronic care.

Information technology (IT) has an important role in carrying out the functions of universities, so that it can be trusted to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the academic process lead to the academic services being more maximal as well as supporting the university's business process innovation to develop. The Naval Academy (AAL) is one of the educational institutions found in the Indonesian Navy and has the task of producing professional Navy officers, possessing current technological mastery capabilities and towards World Class Navy. By referring to the desired results above, AAL uses information technology in conducting teaching and learning activities. The Information System available at the Naval Academy (AAL) is currently not optimal, therefore the authors conducted an analysis to plan the strategic development of information systems and information technology at the Naval Academy (AAL). This research was made using the Ward and Peppard method. The step of this research started with internal analysis, external analysis using PEST analysis, internal IS/IT analysis and external SI/IT analysis to map the information system position at the Naval Academy (AAL) with SWOT analysis. The results were the achievement of the IS/IT formulation strategy and management of IS/IT in the future

The development of information and communication technology has not only changed the way people communicate, but also trading methods. The public has begun to get used to making transactions with information technology. This can be seen with the growth of online stores that offer a variety of products. As SMEs, the change in people's paradigm in transactions must be followed by offers or transactions with information technology. This opportunity must be anticipated by the SMEs. Efforts to support the use of the internet as a promotional medium are to use the MSME information system. This MSME information system is designed to promote MSME principals especially those in Bantul district. In order for the use of this MSME information system to work properly, there needs to be training and assistance in using the system. Mentoring activities have been carried out, especially for community groups incorporated in the Bantul district community information group.

Introduction: Scenarios are used extensively to support emergency management (EM). Virtually every user within the community, from policymakers to first responders, uses scenarios in one guise or another. They provide the context to characterize a dynamic problem space, to support the rehearsal of response options, and to facilitate the evaluation of new technology. With such far-reaching implications, there needs to be a means to guide scenario selection. Objective: The Canadian Centre for Security Science sponsored the development of a framework to characterize scenarios and to assist in evaluating EM capabilities, explicitly in the area of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear response. The framework also complements capability-based planning and provides a means to share scenarios.Methodology: The Public Safety and Security Planning Scenario Framework assists the EM community, which ranges from the national to the community level, by selecting scenarios based on user perspectives and objectives. In developing the framework, three challenges were addressed: a taxonomy was required to frame and define what constitutes a scenario; parameters were needed to describe and characterize scenarios; and structure was called for to assist in ordering the collection and comparison of representative scenarios. The first challenge involved reviewing existing literature to define the term “scenario.” Typically, scenarios are used to consider near-term threats, to capture planning assumptions, and to provide the perspective necessary to assess concepts and capabilities. The framework proposes a set of criteria or dimensions (eg, risks, triggers, and time horizons) that can be used to characterize scenarios. To test the framework, a representative set of scenarios was cataloged using these dimensions. Analysis of the resulting set was instructive in revealing the differences in planning scenarios across the chemical, biological, radiological/nuclear, and explosive communities. As the framework matures, it is hoped that it will promote information reuse and provide a valuable forum for capturing best practices and developing standards, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness improvements both locally and nationally.

This article discusses the effectiveness of digital health services by looking at the challenges and obstacles for society. One form of public services implemented by the government for the community is meeting the need for quality public services and having an orientation to the effectiveness of services to the community that are needed. In the health sector itself, advances in information technology have greatly supported health services. This online system is of high quality to be implemented because the public and members of the medical system can receive and provide detailed and fast information with the help of computerized technology. Information technology has reached various fields of life including the health sector to help the efficiency and effectiveness of health services. Information technology that is properly implemented can support the management process to be effective and efficient. The corona pandemic is changing people's habits in visiting and consulting doctors at hospitals. However, digital-based health services have not been effectively accepted by the public from various service units. They still need improvements in terms of connectivity, content and clarity of regulations.
