The secondperson narration in the writing of malaise. The comparative analysis of A Man Asleep by Georges Perec and L’Inconsolable by Anne Godard (Part One) The history of mankind is the history of malaise. Melancholy, discomfort, anxiety or grief are just a few names and examples of this phenomenon. The heroes created by Georges Perec and Anne Godard experience the deep malaise of depression and grief disorder. However, this is not the only common feature of the characters – they are both described by the pronoun “you”. Due to its properties, the second‐person narration seems to be an effective tool of description of minor and major mental disorders. It helps to situate the heroes between life and death, and it is naturally associated with the concept of the Other, who plays a significant role in creation of a suffering Human being.

The secondperson narration in the writing of malaise. The comparative analysis of A Man Asleep by Georges Perec and L’Inconsolable by Anne Godard (Part Two) Suspension between life and death is not the only one that heroes of Gerorges Perec and Anne Godard, accompanied by a reader, have to undergo. The grammatical second person applied in order to represent the characters implies actually a particular plurality of voices which creates in a paradoxical way these two silent heroes. Moreover, devoid of anchor point unlike other grammatical persons, it makes them constantly suspended in time and space. Therethrough, A Man Asleep and L’Inconsolable cannot be treated just like rewritings of common myths: they represent a new quality in the history of literature, very dynamic and rich in interpretations.

Introduction. The written heritage of Kalmyk Buddhist priests, their daily practices, liturgical repertoire still remain a poorly studied page in the history of Buddhism among Mongolic peoples in the 20th century. The survived collections, clusters of religious texts prove instrumental in revealing most interesting aspects of their activities, efforts aimed at preservation of Buddhist teachings, their popularization and dissemination among believers. Goals. The paper examines two Oirat copies of the Precepts of the Omniscient [Manjushri] from N. D. Kichikov’s collection, transliterates and translates the original texts, provides a comparative analysis, and notes differences therein that had resulted from the scribe’s work, thereby introducing the narratives into scientific circulation. Materials. The article describes two Oirat manuscripts bound in the form of a notebook and contained in different bundles/collections of Buddhist religious texts stored at Ketchenery Museum of Local History and Lore. As is known, the collection is largely compiled from texts that belonged to the famous Kalmyk Buddhist monk Namka (N. D. Kichikov). Results. The analysis of the two Oirat texts with identical titles — Precepts of the Omniscient [Manjushri] — shows that their contents coincide generally but both the texts contain fragmented omissions (separate words, one or several sentences) that are present in the other. At the same time, when omitting fragments of the text addressed to the monastic community, the scribe was obviously guided by that those would be superfluous for the laity. Thus, our comparative analysis of the two manuscript copies demonstrates the sometimes dramatic role of the scribe in transmitting Buddhist teachings.

Book review focuses on two books by Gunther Neumann, dedicated to the thought of Heidegger and Leibniz. If one of the books deals specifically with the understanding of freedom in both of the two philosophers, then the other one deals more with Heidegger’s three approaches to Leibniz’s thought: (1) Interpretation of Leibniz in the context of the making of fundamental ontology and in Being and Time, as well as the reading of Leibniz after Being and Time; (2) Interpretation of Leibniz during the transition to Ereignis thought; (3) Interpetation of Leibniz in the framework of Ereignis thought. Author’s scrupulous close reading approach allows to show the changes in Heidegger’s approach to Leibniz’s philosophy, as well as sketch out the placement of Leibniz’s great themes on the horizon of Heidegger’s history of the truth of being. Author also shows that from metaphysics there stems a certain view in the modern philosophical discussions oriented on neurosciences—a certain view on the human being and on the freedom of will. On this background Heidegger appears as a thinker who has looked beyond the alloy of metaphysics and sciences, in which the concept of freedom has been greatly restricted. Heidegger manages (thanks to the radical questioning of Being) to turn the view on the problem of freedom, which appears in G. Neumann’s books as the main problem of philosophy—through the contact of Leibniz’s thought and Heidegger’s.

The aim of this text is to conduct a comparative analysis of two versions of the same text: The Bird Lovers by Jens Bjørneboe. During my stay at Odin Teatret in August and September 2016, I came across a version of the play’s manuscript from 1964, which I have compared to the play’s final version printed two years later. Jens Bjørneboe’s collaboration with Eugenio Barba and the history of Ornitofilene, the first play staged by the theatre, play a very significant role in the article. I try to place the changes made to the text in a historical context, showing how a Grotowski-inspired play can influence a Brecht-inspired play and also how and why the text developed over time.

The purpose of this article is to establish a comparative analysis of four mobile applications (apps) designed to acquire French as a Foreign Language (FFL). Two of them are aimed at a general public where French is one of the languages offered: Bussu and Duolingo. The other two were created exclusively for FLE learning: Le Bon Mot and Français Premiers Pas. The bibliographical review allows us to affirm that autonomy and simplicity are assets of the use of apps, while the repetitive side remains a constraint. We will then focus on the study of the exercises proposed in the selected apps with regard to the oral skills of comprehension and expression. Our study comes to the conclusion that, even if comprehension skills are quite well developed, expression skills could be improved to make these apps efficient tools.

This chapter begins by explaining why judicial review of administration is interesting terrain for a comparative analysis, also in the light of European and international principles. It is helpful to bear in mind that, for a long period of time, a strand of thought in public law has contested not just the usefulness, but even the possibility of a meaningful comparison between national systems of judicial review. It is important, however, to take cognisance of two fundamental dimensions of change: one is the increasing specialization of the courts that exercise control over administrative power and the other is the emergence of common principles at European and international level. The chapter then highlights the importance of procedural fairness and propriety, although the legal relevance and significance of these principles will differ depending upon the history of any society and its political choices. It also addresses some methodological issues, including the nature of the 'factual analysis' and the choice of legal systems.

The article considers the history of creative and personal relationships of M. Prishvin and B. Pilnyak from 1922 to the beginning of the 1930s, basing on epistolary and diary entries. In the presence of stable, largely friendly relations between the two writers, their character was complicated by Prishvin’s very critical attitude towards his fellow writer, expressed in a number of sharp assessments of some of Pilnyak’s works. On the other hand, it is noted that Prishvin appreciates the artistic talent of Pilnyak as a master of vivid sketchy images. The discussion on the comparative analysis of Pilnyak’s novel “The Naked Year” written on fresh traces of the revolution and Prishvin’s novel “The World Cup” with the involvement of A.K. Voronsky and L.D. Trotsky was separately considered. The author of the article sees some sort of paradox in the Prishvins’ negative position regarding Pilniak’s novel in the obvious genre-stylistic commonality of both works, marked by traits of expressionism and “ornamental prose”. The article also attempts to explain the reasons for the stability of relations between the two writers over the years through a certain commonality of their views in terms of the historical fate of Russia, which made them, by and large, allies in the difficult ideological struggle of the 1920s and 30s.

The constant competitiveness for the interest of entrepreneurs, tourists, students makes that local government units put effort into creating their image. However, the limited capital and organizational resources make that these units initiate multilateral promotion actions. Preparing its offer they repeatedly use attractive place products. The main aim of the article is to answer the question whether, if so in what ways, the Milicz carp, treated as a place product, is used in the promotion of the Local Action Group “Partnership for the Barycz Valley” created by the eight communes of Lower Silesia and Wielkopolskie province. Especially while taking into account two elements: first, the premises of the official strategic documents adopted within ‘the Barycz Valley’, second, the conducted in practice promotion actions. The use of two methods: content analysis and comparative analysis allows to state that the Milicz carp, against the goals in the given documents, plays a significant role in the promotion of the cooperating communes. Actions in the field of public relations have the greatest importance. On the other hand, the actions concerning the promotion of the Milicz carp do not accompany all the enterprises shaping the image of ‘the Barycz Valley’.

The position and status of illegitimate children have often become a discussion in society, including associating the legality of their acts, especially in the matter of worship. This article aims to explain the Islamic views on the status of an illegitimate child and the legality of congregational prayer led by them. Some writings and fatwas issued by authorities at the national and international level were analyzed. The results showed that an illegitimate child must be respected and treated as an independent human being. However, his status cannot be attributed to his biological father. The jurists also have consensus opinion that an illegitimate child can become an imam in a prayer if all the conditions and criteria have been met and if there is no other person who is eligible to lead the prayer. However, they have different views in situations where there is an illegitimate child with the other persons who is eligible to become an imam. Based on a comparative analysis on the jurists’ arguments, it is concluded that the opinion to allow the illegitimate child to become an imam is stronger and more suitable to be followed in the current society. Keywords: Child Out of Wedlock, Illegitimate Child, Imam, Congregational Prayer, Biological Father   Kedudukan dan status anak luar nikah sering menjadi perbincangan dalam masyarakat termasuk mengaitkan kesahan tindakan mereka khususnya dalam perkara ibadat. The article provides a critical comparison of two independent interpretations of F. M. Dostoevsky: from the side of M. Bakhtin and from the side of Rene Girard. Both authors have created coherent ways of understanding and reading the literary heritage of the writer in the perspective of their own understanding of the history of literature and the intellectual history of mankind as such. Dostoevsky is significant for Bakhtin not simply as an illustration of the applicability of some of his own ideas within the framework of literary criticism. Bakhtin sees Dostoevsky as an innovator in the development of the menippea genre and an unprecedented dialogization of literature. At the same time, without Dostoevsky, the movement of literature postulated by Girard towards the embodiment of the Gospel revelation would be incomplete. The incompleteness of Girard or Bakhtin without Dostoevsky (with all the reservations) is not fundamental. Without Dostoevsky, history as such fundamentally changes for Girard and for Bakhtin. The apparent incomparability of the authors makes it possible to read Dostoevsky differently. From the context of Girard, the meaning of Bakhtin's works and, inevitably, the meaning of laughter and dialogue (polyphony) in history are significantly transformed. On the other hand, the ways of including Dostoevsky in the image of history created by Girard, independently of Bakhtin, also run into difficulties.
