Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk compounding dalam novel Negeri Lima Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini dalam bentuk kata dan frasa yang berkaitan dengan compounding. Metode pengumpulan data adalah metode simak dengan teknik mencatat. Analisis data menggunakan metode padan dengan teknik distribusi leksikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa compounding pada novel Negeri Lima Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi memiliki kombinasi elemen dengan wujud kata benda (N) + kata benda (N); kata benda (N) + kata sifat (Adj) + kata benda (N); kata benda (N) + kata benda (N) + kata kata sifat (Adj); kata benda (N) + kata sifat (Adj) + kata sifat (Adj); kata benda (N) + kata kerja (V); kata kerja (V) + kata benda (N); kata benda (N) + kata sifat (Adj); kata sifat (Adj) + kata benda (N); kata benda (N) + kata keterangan (Adv); kata keterangan (Adv) + kata benda (N); kata keterangan (Adv) + kata sifat (Adj); kata kerja (V) + kata sifat (Adj); kata keterangan (Adv) + kata keterangan (Adv); kata sifat (Adj) + kata sifat (Adj). Selain itu, terdapat dua kategori compounding yaitu eksosentris dan endosentris.Kata kunci: compounding; morfologi; novel Abstract: This study aims to describe the form of compounding in Negeri Lima Menara novel by Ahmad Fuadi. This type of research was qualitative research with descriptive method. Data were words and phrases related to compounding. The data collection technique used was  note-taking. Data were analysed by identity method. The results showed that compounding in Negeri Lima Menara novel by Ahmad Fuadi had a combination of elements with the form of the noun (N) + noun (N); nouns (N) + adjectives (Adj) + nouns (N); nouns (N) + nouns (N) + adjectives (Adj); nouns (N) + adjectives (Adj) + adjectives (Adj); nouns (N) + verbs (V); verb form (V) + noun (N); noun form (N) + adjective (Adj); adjective form (Adj) + noun (N); nouns (N) + adverbs (Adv); adverbs (Adv) + nouns (N); adverbs (Adv) + adjectives (Adj); verb (V) + adjective (Adj); adverbs (Adv) + adverbs (Adv); Adjective (Adj) + adjective (Adj). Furthermore, there were two category of compounding; exocentric and endocentric.Keywords: compounding; morfology; novel

An illocutionary act is a speech act that is usually identified by explicit performative sentences. The research on illocutionary acts in vlogs is an action that shows the meaning of speech during communication. This study aims to describe illocutionary acts on Fiersa Besari's vlog YouTube channel Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 along with its speech function. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The form of research used here is qualitative research. The data source in this study is the vlog Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 on the Fiersa Besari YouTube channel. The data in this study are transcripts of conversations between characters in vlogs. Data collection techniques in research using the observation method and note-taking techniques. The findings in the research in this vlog were only 15 utterances of illocutionary speech acts. From the 15 utterances, 7 data on assertive illocutionary acts, 2 directive illocutionary acts, and 7 expressive illocutionary acts. From this research, it is expected that we can understand the function of illocutionary acts that are relevant to everyday life

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama  Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic,  and  (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used  to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data  use  existantialism theory  and absurdism in playwrights  by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with  the  data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member’s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked  in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and  death.  Three absurdism concepts  in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.

This study focuses on internal conflicts in the novel Air Mata Tuhan works Aguk Irawan M.N. The method in this article uses descriptive method and form of qualitative research. Psychology humanities is used as an approach in this article. Data collection technique used is the technique of documentary studies to reviewing  creation humanities. Official letters are one of the written languages used in government agencies or organizations. Official letters sometimes do not pay attention to the correct grammatical rules. This study aims to analyze the language phenomena in official letters of the Pengkol Village Office, Nguter, Sukoharjo. This research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The data used in this study are language phenomena contained in the official lettesr of the Pengkol Village Office. The source of data in this research is an official letter made by employees of the Pengkol Village Office. The data collection technique used is the literature review, listening, and note-taking. The data analysis technique used is qualitative technique. The results of this study indicate that the language phenomena found in official letters of the Pengkol Village Head Office are interference, hypercorrection, pleonasm, and contamination. Out of the four forms of those phenomena, the most frequesnt is hypercorrection, while the least is interference. Surat dinas merupakan salah satu bahasa tulis yang digunakan dalam instansi pemerintah atau organisasi. Dalam surat dinas terkdang tidak memperhatikan penulisan yang sesuai dengan kaidah penggunaan bahasa yang benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gejala bahasa yang ada dalam penulisan surat dinas di Kantor Desa Pengkol, Nguter, Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu gejala bahasa yang terdapat dalam surat dinas Kantor Desa Pengkol. Adapun sumber data dalam penenlitian ini adalah surat dinas yang dibuat oleh pegawai Kantor Desa Pengkol.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pustaka, simak, dan catat. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gejala bahasa yang ditemukan dalam penulisan surat dinas Kantor Kepala Desa Pengkol, yaitu gejala interferensi, gejala hiperkorek, pleonasme, dan kontaminasi. Dari keempat bentuk gejala tersebut, gejala bahasa yang sering mucul adalah bentuk gejala bahasa hiperkorek, sedangkan yang paling sedikit yaitu bentuk gejala bahasa interferensi.

This study aims to describe the use of myth in the Banjar culture. Myth contains implicit communication purpose and meaning that can be known through the study of pragmatic study. The problems in this study are 1) how does the representation of Banjarese myth base on the form of communication? 2) how does the representation of Banjarese myth base on the communication function? The aims of this study are to describe 1) the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar society base on the form of communication. 2) the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar soiety base on the communication function. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data are taken from Banjarese speech in Kampung Jawa, Sekumpul, Martapura Regency. The data are taken from January 2017 to June 2017. Data collection techniques are note taking and interviewing. Data collection techniques are interview and documentation. This study uses three steps of work, they are (1) providing data; (2) data analyzing; and (3) presenting the results of the data analysis. This study uses pragmatic theory. The results conclude that 1) base on the form of communication, the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar society consists of indirect speech with declarative structure in the form of directive speech and commisive; 2) base on the communication function , the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar society consists of advice function happens if the speakers try to give advice, prohibition function happens if there is prohibition marker, satire function happens if the speaker intend to criticize the speech partner indirectly, and threats function happens if the speech has violation meaning and it cause something bad happen in the future.

ABSTRACT  The purpose of this study is to describe the velues of character education in Tere Liye’s novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin. The type of this study is qualitative research with descriptive method and using triangulation technique to validate the data. The research data is in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses that show the actions of the characters, the words of the characters and the narrator, which indicate the values of character education found in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin. The data collection technique of this study is to read and understand Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin then recording the data related to character education values in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin in the form of units of events from character’s behavior. The data analysis technique of this research is describing the values of character education in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin which is seen in a unit of character events, classifying, analyzing data, interpreting, and compiling reports.As the results of the research founded 72 values of character education, namely 5 values of religious character education, 17 values of hard work character education, 4 values of independent character education, 6 values of curiosity character education, 5 values of education value achievement, 9 values of friendly character education, 3 values of character education are fond of reading, 15 values of moral value character education, and 8 values of education responsibility. The most dominant valueof character education in Tere Liye's novel Daun yang Jatuh ismoral value character education as much as 15 data. Kata kunci: Nilai, Pendidikan Karakter, Novel Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin

The Relationship

Deixis as a pragmatic study in which the meaning of a language must be adapted to the context. This study of deixis is a way to find out the relationship between language and context in the structure of language itself. Not only in daily life, in literary works one of them is short stories, this deixis study is very interesting to study. This study aims to describe the deixis contained in the collection of short stories from the books of Senja, Rain, and Stories that have been finished by Boy Candra. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The data in this study are sentences, or words and dialogues that have elements of person deixis, time deixis, and place deixis. The data collection technique used by the author is a reading and note-taking technique. The steps taken in analyzing the data are grouping the data that has been collected, classifying the data based on the categories and deixis criteria needed, and analyzing the data in the form of a clear and correct description. The results of the study found three types of deixis which became the focus of this study, namely person deixis, place deixis, and time deixis. Abstrak Deiksis sebagai salah satu kajian pragmatik yang pemaknaan suatu Bahasa harus disesuaikan dengan konteksnya. Kajian mengenai deiksis ini merupakan cara untuk mengetahui hubungan antara bahasa dan konteks dalam struktur bahasa itu sendiri. Tidak hanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dalam karya sastrapun salah satunya cerpen, kajian deiksis ini sangat menarik dipelajari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang deiksis yang terdapat pada buku Kumpulan Cerpen Senja, Hujan, dam Cerita Yang Telah Usai karya Boy Candra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk data dalam penelitian ini  adalah kalimat, atau kata serta dialog yang memiliki unsur deiksis persona, deiksis waktu, dan deiksis tempat. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah teknik baca dan catat. Adapun langkah – langkah yang dilakukan dalam menganalisis data adalah mengelompokkan data yang sudah dikumpulkan, mengklasifikasi data berdasarkan katagori dan kreteria deiksis yang dibutuhkan, dan menganalisis data dalam bentuk deskripsi secara jelas dan benar. Hasil penelitian ditemukan tiga jenis deiksis yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini, yaitu deiksis persona, deiksis tempat, dan deiksis waktu. Kata Kunci: Cerpen, Deiksis, Pragmatik

Jerome Polin Sijabat is an Indonesian YouTuber. Jerome Polin is known after starting a YouTube channel called Nihongo Mantappu, which shares his personal life in Japan. Apart from speaking Indonesian, Jerome Polin also uses other languages, such as English and Japanese. Jerome Polin's mastery of the language causes code-mixing in the video. This study describes the forms of code-mixing and the factors that cause code-mixing in videos on Jerome Polin's YouTube channel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a sample of conversational quotations. The data collection technique used is the listening method using note-taking techniques and free-involved-talk listening techniques. The results showed that the forms of code-mixing insertion in Jerome Polin's YouTube video include elements of words, phrases, and clauses. The types of code-mixing in Jerome Polin's YouTube videos are outer code-mixing.

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia that has a unique talk system, it is still alive and used as an instrument of communication of Balinese tribe so that it should be well maintained in order to still exist as a cultural vehicle of Bali. The Balinese language has anggah-ungguh kruna (level-word) that an important role in the formation of speech-level or anggah-ungguh basa Bali. This paper aims to describe the identification anggah-ungguh kruna (word level arrangement) which is the specific feature of speaking Balinese. This research is a qualitative research discuss with structuralism theory. Data collection was done by observation and interview method, assisted by recording technique. The collected data is processed by analytical descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be described that anggah-ungguh kruna basa Bali include: (1) kruna nenten alus (kruna kasar, mider, and andap); (2) kruna alus, include: (kruna alus singgih, alus sor, alus mider, and alus madia).

A speech can also lead to a description of the principles of conversation. This also happened in Las Day Production's video “Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid”. This research aims to find out and describe the female characters’ utterances or the implicit forms of the in the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid" by Last Day Production. The approach in this research uses pragmatic and qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique in this study was using the note-taking technique. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data triangulation, theory triangulation, and source triangulation. Triangulation of data was generated by recording the speech of a female character in the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid" by Last Day Production. The theory triangulation refers to pragmatic theory, while the source triangulation is the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid" by Last Day Production, which is downloaded on YouTube. The research results in the video "Cara Kodein Cowok Biar Cepet Merid” have 8 stories of female characters that contain implicatures.
