The image of a country’s tourism has become a strong source of economic and social power for the nation’s survival hence the need for its constant measure. This study examines the perceived image of the Nigerian Tourism Industry (NTI) among foreign tourists and residents in Nigeria and the demographic variables that influence perception of the industry. A convenience sampling method was adopted to select total 150 respondents. A questionnaire with twelve key evaluative factors was used in measuring the image of NTI. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), T-Test for equality of means and multiple regression techniques were applied in the analysis of data. The results show that the mean index obtained for the perception of the tourism industry was fairly positive. NTI was perceived to be most reputable in the areas of hospitality under culture and heritage dimension and weakest in political stability under infrastructure dimension. Respondents’ demographic characteristics were not significant in explaining the overall perception of NTI. In the circumstance, we recommend that, to effectively reposition the NTI in the international arena, the Nigerian government needs to be more diligent in conducting its elections in order to ensure fairness and stability. The friendliness of the Nigerian people could be used to mitigate the negative effects of insecurity in the country. Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and friendly weather should be emphasized in the promotion of NTI.

The hotel business is globally acknowledged to significantly contribute to the tourism industry. Over time, supervisor’s incivility continues to be a serious issue where cases of the uncivil act are known to be costly to the organization and creating negative effects on employees’ health and organizational continuity. Human capital has also been highlighted as one of the key variables to organizational sustainability. Using convenience sampling method, this study adopted a total of 329 respondents’ perception to test the study variables. The effect of supervisor’s incivility was assessed against employee’s self-efficacy, turnover intention, emotional exhaustion, and job satisfaction. The study employed data gathered from four and five stars hotels in Nigeria using Analysis of a moment structures (IBM AMOS) software to analyze the hypothesized relationships. Empirical evidence shows that self-efficacy mediates the relationship between supervisor incivility, turnover intention, and job satisfaction. The results show that evidence of supervisor’s incivility negatively affects hotel employee.

Intervensi dilakukan selama 30 menit. Sebesar 93,9% intervensi memengaruhi tingkat keberhasilan. Kata kunci:Menyusui, pendidikan, perlekatan, postpartum AbstractBreastfeeding have still been problem for adequate newborn nutrition. ABSTRACTBackground: This study examines the joint effect on cognition of selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and cholinesterase inhibitors (AChEIs) in depressed patients affected by Alzheimer's disease (AD) living at home. Methods: The study was conducted in two different outpatient neurological clinics. 338 patients with probable AD were treated with ChEis (donepezil, rivastigmine and galantamine) as per the clinician's judgment and were observed for nine months. At study entry, participants underwent a multidimensional assessment evaluating cognitive, functional and psychobehavioral domains. All patients were evaluated at baseline, after one (T1), three (T2) and nine months (T3). Patients were grouped in three different categories (patients not depressed and not treated with SSRIs, patients depressed and treated with SSRIs, and patients depressed but not treated with SSRIs).Results: At baseline 182 were diagnosed as not depressed and not treated with SSRIs, 66 as depressed and treated with SSRIs, and 90 as depressed but not treated with SSRIs. The mean change in MMSE score from baseline to nine months showed that depressed patients not treated worsened in comparison with those not depressed and not treated with SSRIs (mean change −0.8 ± 2.3 vs 0.04 ± 2.9; p = 0.02) and patients depressed and treated with SSRI (mean change −0.8 ± 2.3 vs 0.1 ± 2.5; p = 0.03).Conclusions: In AD patients treated with AChEIs, SSRIs may exert some degree of protection against the negative effects of depression on cognition.

Abstract Purpose: This study aimed to assess the burden of care and its relationship with sleep quality of cancer patients’ caregivers. Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was conducted in a referral center of cancer in Zanjan, northwest of Iran. 135 caregivers of cancer patients were recruited through convenience sampling method. The data were collected using a demographic characteristics questionnaire, Novak and Guest’s caregiver burden inventory and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI). The collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The mean (± SD) age of the participants was 39.71 (± 10.74) years. The mean (± SD) burden of care and sleep quality of the participants was 45.22 (± 17.75) and 8.88 (± 4.21), respectively. It was found that there is a significant positive relationship between burden of care and quality of sleep scores (r = 0.65, P < 0.001).Conclusion: cancer patients’ caregivers endure a remarkable burden of care and their sleep quality is undesirable. Results indicated that an increase in the burden of care reduces the caregiver’s quality of sleep. High burden of care and poor sleep quality may reduce the quality of the provided care that increase the costs and weakens the disease prognosis. According to the study results, reducing burden of care is an effective strategy regarding improving the caregivers’ quality of sleep that can improve the quality of provided cares by caregivers.

Data were pooled from four randomized clinical trials with vitamin D performed in Tromsø with weight reduction, insulin sensitivity, bone density, and depression scores as endpoints. Serum lipids, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and high sensitivity C-Reactive Protein, (HS-CRP) were measured at baseline and after 6–12 months of supplementation with vitamin D 20 000 IU–40 000 IU per week versus placebo. A total of 928 subjects who completed the interventions were included. At baseline the mean serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) level in those given vitamin D was 55.9 (20.9) nmol/L and the mean increase was 82.4 (40.1) nmol/L. Compared with the placebo group there was in the vitamin D group at the end of the studies a slight, but significant, increase in HbA1c of 0.04%, an increase in HS-CRP of 0.07 mg/L in those with serum 25(OH)D < 50 nmol/L, and in those with low baseline HDL-C and serum 25(OH)D < 50 nmol/L a slight decrease serum HDL-C of 0.08 mmol/L (P<0.05). No serious side-effects were seen. In conclusion, in subjects without vitamin D deficiency, there is no improvement in serum lipids, HbA1c, or HS-CRP with high dose vitamin D supplementation. If anything, the effect is negative.

Objective: Marital satisfaction is considered as satisfaction with a marital relationship on which the presence of a child has different effects. Concerns about a childfree life and its effect on marital satisfaction in infertile couples are very critical. Therefore, this study was intended to characterize and compare concerns about a childfree lifestyle and the need for parenthood and their relationship with marital satisfaction in infertile couples. Method: A total of 200 men and 200 women who referred to fertility centers in Tehran participated in this cross-sectional study. Convenience sampling method was used for sampling. Demographic survey, ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale, and Fertility Problem Inventory were used for data collection. The resulting data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistical tests (Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Regression). Results: The mean scores for concern about a childfree lifestyle and the need for parenthood in women were significantly higher than in men. The variables rejection of a childfree lifestyle and the need for parenthood were respectively predictors of marital satisfaction in women and men. Conclusion: Since marital satisfaction in infertile couples is affected by their feelings about having a child and becoming a parent, it is therefore suggested that appropriate counseling be provided in supportive healthcare programs for infertile couples to promote their marital satisfaction.
