Unfortunately, less people are well informed  to this disease. It is one of the of infectious diseases to watch out for. Hypertension is the third leading cause of death in Indonesia (6.8%), after a stroke (15.4%) and tuberculosis (7.5%). Data from Wajok Hulu Health Center (Puskesmas) showed  that the cases of hypertension among older women occurred  consecutively from the year 2009-2011 (37.05%, 27.53%, and 19.52%). This study is aimed at figuring out the correlation of knowledge, physical activity, eating patterns, stress, and the incidence of hypertension among elderly women (a case study at work area of Puskesmas Wajok Hulu Kabupaten Pontianak). An analytical survey  and case control approach were carried out in this study. As many as 279 elderly women were employed as the population. The number of the control group was the entire of the elderly women with hypertension (54) which were recorded in register book of Puskesmas Wajok Hulu.  The research samples used a 1:1 ratio of cases and controls so that the total sample were 108 respondents. Then, the data was statistically tested by utilizing a chi square test. The study revealed that there were correlation of  knowledge (p value=0,004), physical activity (p value=0,003), eating patterns (p value=0,005), stress (0,000), and the incidence of hypertension among elderly women. From the finding, Health Department of Kabupaten Pontianak and Puskesmas (Heath Center) Wajok Hulu are encouraged to improve provide more information communication, and education about hypertension to the people, particularly elderly women.  This program can be carried out through the available media, so that the people will be well informed and be aware of the dangerous of hypertension.

Background: Pain during pregnancy and childbirth is a physiological process, but it leads to discomfort without pain management. Acupressure and effleurage are considered to be effective in reducing labor pain. Objective: To examine the effect of acupressure and effleurage in reducing pain during in the active phase of the first stage of labor in the community health center of Kawunganten, Cilacap regency. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. There were 33 respondents recruited using simple random sampling. Numerical rating scale was used to measure labor pain. Data were analyzed using one way anova, Post hoc anova and repeated anova for normal data distribution. Kruskal Wallis was also used for non-normal data distribution. Results: There was a statistically significant mean difference of pain scale before and after given acupressure and effleurage (p-value <0.05). However, acupressure treatment had a greater effect  in reducing pain compared with effleurage. Conclusion: Acupressure and efflurage had a significant effect in reducing pain in mothers in the active phase of the first stage of labor. The results of this study are expected to enrich and contribute to the development of science in the field of health promotion, and  serve as an additional input for midwives in order to carry out the care of mother during labor.

Sweet starfruit juice is very useful for lowering blood pressure because of its fibre, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin C content.  This study was to determine the effect of starfruit juice on lowering blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the integrated service centre in the working area of Rejosari Dawe Kudus Public Health Center. This study used a Quasy experiment method with a pre-test-post-test research design with a control group. A sample of 20 people, divided into two groups, namely 10 people in the experimental group and 10 people in the control group.  The results of the independent t-test, the results of the posttest systolic blood pressure p-value = 0.004, while the diastolic blood pressure posttest p-value = 0.014, so it can be seen that the p-value <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.  In this study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving star fruit juice on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the integrated service centre in the working area of the Rejosari Dawe Kudus Community Health Center.

Background: Optimal nutrition from an early age can be achieved through exclusive breastfeeding (ASI). Lack of milk production is one reason why mothers decide to give formula milk to their babies. Preliminary study at Public Health Center of Batealit Jepara indicated that 60% of mothers unable to breastfeed optimally, thus, breast care and oxytocin massage are proposed to increase milk secretion in postpartum mothers. Objective: To examine the effect of combination of breast care and oxytocin massage on breast milk secretion in postpartum mothers. Methods: This was a quasy experimental study with non-randomized control trial with pretest-posttest control group, conducted in the working area of the Community Health Center of Batealit of Jepara from December 5, 2016 to January 15, 2017. There were 44 postpartum mothers recruited in this study using purposive sampling, which 22 assigned in the experiment and control group. Data were analyzed using dependent t-test and Mann Whitney test. Results: There was a significant increase of breast milk secretion in the experiment and control group with p-value 0.000 (<0.05). In the experiment group, there was an increase of breast milk seceretion from 17.09 to 220.91 cc, and in the control group there was also an increase from 17.09 to 72.00 cc. The mean difference of breast milk secretion between pretest and posttest in the experiment group was 203.82 and in the control group was 54.90 with p-value 0.000 (<0.05)Conclusion: There was a significant increase of breast milk secretion in postpartum mothers after given the combination of oxytocin massage and breast care in the experiment group compared with the education and counseling about breast care in the control group. Thus, this result can be used as an evidence to perform oxytocin massage and breast care to increase the secretion of breast milk in postpartum mothers.

Background : It is importan to promote physical activity for elderly people, but to improve level of physical activity of elderly people is a challange for health workers. Purpose : The purpose of this quasi- experimental study was to determine the effect of exercise consultation program by using Transtheoretical Model (TTM) approach on physical activity level in elderly people at Darussalam’s Community Health Center. Research method :The two comparison groups for this study were purposively designed for pre-test/post-test procedures; sixty elderly people at Darussalam’s Community Health Center with randomly allocated into the experimental (30 people) and the control (30 people) groups. While the experimental group received the exercise consultation for 8 weeks, the control group received routine care. Physical Activity Scale for Elderly (PASE) was use to assess the the physical activity of elderly. Comparative assessments on differences in level of physical activity both within group using Wilcoxson macthed-pairs and between group using Mann Withney U Test. Results : The results of this study found that after receiving exercise consultation program, level of physical activity in elderly people significantly increased in the experimental group (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the control group. Between groups,  level of physical activity significantly increased after receiving the exercise consultation while no change was found among those who did not (P < 0.05).Conclusion: The exercise consultation program by using TTM approach could increase level of physical activity of elderly people.

The research desain used correlational study. The data collection was done by conducting cross sectional methods, with population of 38 mothers and their babies. The sampling used simple random sampling technique with total sample of 35 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The analysis data used spearman rank showed p value 0,001. The conclution of this research was  there was a correlation between mothers ability to stimulate 3-6 months infant with their development in Puhjarak Community Health Center Kediri Regency. It is advisable for parents especially mothers to maintain or improve their ability to stimulate their children in all aspects of development in a balanced and appropriate waywith the infant’s age.
