Every government agency, company, or other institution must have a PublicRelations and Protocol. Public Relations and Protocols have the duty and function totake responsibility and maintain a positive image that already exists in an agency orcompany and to better re-image where the agency or company is located, has the roleof delivering a policy or all information carried out by an agency or a company. Fromthe above background, the purpose of this study is to find out how the effectivenessof the implementation of the duties and functions of the Public Relations and ProtocolSection in Maintaining the Image of the Regional Head (Study in the Public Relationsand Protocol Section of the Jembrana Regency Regional Secretariat.The data in thisstudy are qualitative secondary data. The population was taken from employees in thePublic Relations and Protocol Section of the District Secretariat of Jembrana totaling35, the sample method used was the census method. The data analysis technique usedis descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection methods used in this research areinterview and documentation study methods.The results of the study showed that theeffectiveness of the duties and functions of the Public Relations and Protocol sectionin maintaining the image of regional heads in the Regional Secretariat of JembranaDistrict had been going well, as seen from the indicators: Reception / hearing(domestic and foreign) was carried out in accordance with the specified standards.Guest visits (domestic and foreign) are carried out in accordance with applicableguidelines. Travel to the region / Overseas is carried out in accordance with specifiedguidelines. Meeting / session arrangements are well implemented. The holding of areception / banquet has been carried out well. The implementation of the ceremoniesis in accordance with the established rules. With the implementation of the duties andfunctions of the Public Relations and Protocol section, the image of the regional headcan be maintained properly, as seen from the indicators: Personality of the regionalhead increases with the implementation of public relations and protocol activitiesproperly. Reputation of Jembrana Regency has improved the implementation ofpublic relations and procolo activities. The value of Jembrana Regency increases withthe implementation of public relations and procolo activities properly. Identity or selfcan be seen by the implementation of public relations and protocol activities well.

This study aims to determine how the role and function of Public Relations in LKBN ANTARA Bureau Lampung in maintaining a positive image in the eyes of the public. In order to examine this research, the author uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection in the form of interviews, documentation and literature. The subject of this research is Public Relations practitioners in LKBN Anatara Lampung bureau. This study looks at the impact of technological advances that have disrupted conventional mass media, so that news channels are now converged into online channels. However, due to the convenience offered by online media, the information submitted cannot be filtered properly. The amount of information that is anonymous has resulted in the largest number of hoax news in online media. This reduces the credibility of an online news portal in the eyes of the public. Even some people doubt the accuracy of the news available on online channels. Public Relations at LKBN ANTARA Bureau Lampung acts as a Communication Technician, Communication Facilitator and Problem Solving Facilitator. And Public Relations here also acts as a management function and communication function.

Abstrak: Hubungan Masyarakat yang lazim dikenal sebagai penghubung antara institusi, lembaga dengan masyarakat, terkait publikasi atau penjelasan kinerja, disingkat menjadi (Humas). Kedudukannya dalam struktur lembaga yang menaunginya, dikenal dalam berbagai bentuk, diantaranya, Biro, Bagian, Bidang, Unit, dipimpin oleh seorang pejabat yang diberikan kewenangan berdasarkan Surat Keputusan (SK), yang menguraikan Tujuan, Pokok dan Fungsi (Tupoksi). Salah satu fungsi pokok Humas adalah pembuatan rilis berita, untuk disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat, terkait kinerja lembaga atau institusi yang membentuknya. Untuk fungsi kerja itu Humas berkewajiban membangun kemitraan dengan media, baik cetak, elektronika maupun online (Website). Berdasarkan pertimbangan pengembangan keilmuan Humas, juga pers atau kewartawanan, dilaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan bagi Staf Kantor Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel), yang dengannya diharapkan tercapai pemahaman yang paripurna dalam kerja-kerja kehumasan yang harus mereka jalankan dalam menghadapi Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu), baik legislatif, eksekutif, maupun Pemilihan Langsung Kepala Daerah (Pilkada). Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Kehumasan, Media, KPU Abstract: Public Relations, commonly known as a liaison between institutions, institutions and society, related to publications or explanations of performance, abbreviated as (Public Relations). Its position in the institutional structure that houses it, is known in various forms, including, Bureau, Section, Field, Unit, led by an official who is given authority based on a Decree, which outlines the Purpose, Principle and Function (Auth). One of the main functions of Public Relations is making news releases, to be disseminated to the public, related to the performance of the institutions or institutions that shape it. For this work function, PR is obliged to build partnerships with the media, both print, electronics and online (Website). Based on consideration of scientific development of Public Relations, as well as the press or journalism, a training activity was held for the Staff of the General Election Commission (KPU) Office of South Sulawesi Province, with which it is hoped that a complete understanding of public relations work must be carried out in the face of General Elections (Elections), both the legislative, executive, and the Direct Election of Regional Heads (Pilkada). Public Relations has an important role and function in managing business activities. One of which is relied on to develop agro tourism products that can create a branding reinforcement of a product to the public. Performing a public relations strategy is done so that perception value can be well received by the public. This study aims to study the branding strategy of public relation of window Jendela Alam in developing agrotourism products that focus on building trust with stakeholders, conducting external activities and choosing the communication media. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results show that building trust with various stakeholders is needed in strengthening the branding. This can be done with integrity, credibility and capability. External communication is carried out as a means for companies to establish and develop relationships with stakeholders, as well as the use of communication media to publish all forms of the Jendela Alam activities in developing agro-tourism products so that the public knows various information about agrotourism products while strengthening the Jendela Alam agrotourims products.

The purpose of this study is to understand the role and function of the Election Winning Institution as PKB party public relations and to analyze the communication strategies applied in the 2019 election. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, where data is collected through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the role and function of the Election Winning Institution as Public Relations in PKB are to provide information, convince the public, and generate public interest. Meanwhile, the communication strategy carried out in winning the 2019 Legislative Election are to strengthen friendships with Nahdliyyin scholars and carry out door-to-door communication.

The development of technology, information technology and various means of communication have a significant impact on public relations activity; especially in government institutions. Many government institutions have invested these means in their management system, in order to facilitate the goals of the institution, and ultimately the interaction between the internal and external public. In this theoretical research, I tried to explain the impact of the new media on public relations in the public administration, based on the views of specialists. The aim of the research is to know the use of the new media of public relations and how in the system of public administration, as well as, Explaining the role it plays in public relations activities of government institutions. Add to this, analyzing the way of how new media and public relations participate in the birth of e-government. In the results, it is clear that the new media has facilitated public relations between the public and other institutions, as it strengthened relations between them

Showing the specificity of the work of the contemporary library, and the variety of its tasks, which go far beyond the lending of books. The specificity of the library’s public relations concerning different aspects of its activity. The internal and external functions of the library’s public relations and their specificity. The significant question of motivating the social environment to use the offer of libraries, and simulta-neously the need to change the negative perception of the library, which discourages part of its poten-tial users from taking advantage of its services. The negative stereotypes of librarians’ work perpetuated in the public consciousness and their harmful character. The need to change the public relations of libra-ries and librarians with a view to improving the realization of the tasks they face. Showing the public relations tools which may serve to change the image of librarians and libraries with particular emphasis on social media. This article is a review article, highlighting selected research on the librarian’s stereo-type and suggesting actions that change the image of librarians and libraries.

The approach of this research is qualitative and descriptive. In this study those who become the subject of research is an informant (key figure). The subject of this study is divided into two main components, consisting of internal public and external public that is from the Board of the Central Executive Board of Gerindra Party, Party Cadres, Observers and Journalists. The object of this research is the behavior, activities and opinions of Gerindra Party Public Relation Team. In this study used data collection techniques with interviews, participatory observation, and triangulation of data. The results of this study indicate that the Public Relations Gerindra has implemented strategies through various public relations programs and establish good media relations with the reporters so that socialization goes well. So also with the evaluation that is done related to the strategy of the party. The success of Gerindra Party in maintaining the party’s image in Election 2014 as a result of the running of PR strategy and communication and sharing the right type of program according to the characteristics of the voting community or its constituents.Keywords: PR Strategy, Gerindra Party, Election 2014

The current study examines the importance of planning and management documents (notably the forest management plan and the regional forest plan) for public relations purposes. 17 people (15 forest engineers and 2 forest guards) were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire. The results of our survey show that some of the information used for public relations is taken from the planning documents. The forest management plan is primarily considered to be an internal document, but it also provides information on the objectives of forest enterprises, justifications of the planned measures, numbers and maps. The regional forest plan contributes to the public relations in three ways: its content provides information about objectives, description of forest functions, projects and measures. In addition, the participation of the public in the process of elaborating this plan is an ideal opportunity to heighten awareness in society and further public understanding of the forest and forestry services. Finally, as the regional forest management plan is in the public domain, it functions as a type of «show case» of the forest service.
