Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia. AD progression leads to a significant deterioration in cognitive function, resulting in a significant impact not only on patient quality of life but also on the quality of life of family members/care-givers. Some physicians do not feel that diagnosing AD is necessary due to the absence of any cure and the stress related to diagnosis. Nevertheless, it is important to diagnose AD as early as possible. Early diagnosis of AD allows the patient to be more involved in treatment planning, since at this stage the patient’s cognitive function will be near normal. Many forms of the disease do not progress rapidly, and early diagnosis and treatment will allow a good quality of life for the patient, family members and care-givers. The general practitioner has a special role in detecting and following up patients diagnosed with AD.

The article reflects the content and results of the study of responsible parenthood (in particular, responsible fatherhood) among modern parents. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was made up of basic ideas in the field of studying the family as the most important social institution (works of M. Mead, D. Olson, K. Vitaker, A.Ya. Varga, Yu. Khamyalyaynen; V.N. Druzhinina, I. S. Kona, P. S. Lesgaft, A. S. Makarenko, S. Yu. Meshcheryakova, A. B. Orlov, K. D. Ushinsky, A. V. Chernikova and others); parenthood, as the most important social function implemented in the framework of family education (works by G.V. Burmenskaya, E.I. Isenina, I.S. Kona, E.V. Poptsova, E.O. Smirnova, A.S. Spivakovskaya, EG Eidemiller, etc.); motherhood and fatherhood as objective manifestations of parenthood (research by A.I. Antonov, A.Ya. Varga, V.N. Druzhinin, R.Zh. Mukhamedrahimova, L.F. Obukhova, R.V. Ovcharova, A.S. Spivakovskaya, V.V. Stolin, O.A. Shagraeva, L.B.Schneider and others). A generalized analysis of the work of scientists allows us to assume that responsible fatherhood, by which we tend to understand the balance of different styles, types, techniques and technologies of raising a child in integration with a high degree of trust in relations with him, the ability and desire to provide all the conditions necessary for his full , comprehensive and harmonious development, will be formed more efficiently and productively subject to the targeted implementation of the program of psychological and pedagogical support of this process a. The need to develop such a program to support the process of creating responsible paternity was confirmed by the results of our diagnostic study, the course and results of which are presented in this publication.

<p>This research aims to explore the basic value of social institution of farmers and find the technique of re-functionalization of social institutions of farmers. The design of this research is using a case study method based on qualitative and quantitative approach. This research is intentionally conducted in Karangreja Sub-district, Purbalingga Regency of Central Java Province.  Based on the research results, The prominent basic social values in the social institutions of farmers in the Agro-tourism area tend to be still around the proximity to the production process. Three prominent basic values: (1) the basic value of perseverance in the process of production, (2) the basic value of togetherness for making decision on production, (3) the value of carefulness in sorting and grading product. Indeed the basic value of togetherness to fight for the price is high but it has not bring such a tangible results for farmers’. The authors predicted that if the socio-economic institutions are strong, they will be able to empower farmers and vice versa if the social institution is weak then the empowerment of farmers is also weak. However, it is necessary to concern that the institution which in charge of product quality, post harvest technology and marketing has not been much strengthened, so that the welfare of farmers has not changed much. Institutional strengthening in sectors that are still weak need to get more attention from various parties so that farmers become more dynamic and more empowered.</p>

The modern world and Russia in particular is characterized by intensive migration processes. Ethnic, socio-cultural, religious conflicts and migrant-phobia are spreading in the countries that receive migrants. This requires a search for new means and mechanisms for the adaptation and integration of migrants, as well as the prevention of migrant phobia among the local population. The aim of the study is to give a sociological description of migrantophobia in Russia and substantiate the potential of the social values of the sports movement in its prevention. The content of the research is based on: 1) the analysis of bibliographic sources on the topic of the article; 2) a secondary analysis of sociological research on the perception of migrants and migrant phobia. Sociological studies demonstrate a downward trend in the level of migrantophobia in the Russian society, however, there is a need for new ways of preventing it. It has been concluded that sport as a social institution and such social values of sport as activity, self-realization, communication, respect, friendship, tolerance can play a significant role in the adaptation and integration of migrants, as well as in prevention of migrant phobia among the local population. Interpretations of the social functions of sports in relation to migrants have been given. The macro-, meso- and micro factors of the involvement of migrants in sports have been indicated.

Session 8 is again focused primarily on family communication and dynamics for the purposes of identifying and addressing parenting behaviors and parent–teen dynamics that may unwittingly undermining teen confidence in becoming more independent in managing their illness and lifestyle. The clinician engages the family in a discussion of parental and teen roles within the family system and an examination of the impact of the teen’s illness on family members’ roles. Behavioral family systems concepts of “misguided support” and “strong beliefs” that family members hold, but that inadvertently may be serving to maintain a dependent or even overprotective/enmeshed family dynamic, are introduced and applied to the family situation, along with strategies for moving these dynamics in a more independence-engendering direction.

On the basis of the analysis of process of becoming (institutionalization) of social institute as a phenomenon the classical concept of five basic social institutes (family, education, religion, economic and political institutes) is broadened. The society in the course of its historical development forms new spectrum of needs hence the necessity in both reconsidering changes of functional tasks, limits, normative value and status role systems of social institutes in function and recognizing existence of new social institutes. At the modern stage, considering actual functional requirements of society, the social institute of medicine is a new social institute. The article considers process of transformation of medicine into independent social institute at the turn of XX-XXI centuries. At that it is noted that evolutionary process of institutionalization of medicine requires a new in-depth comprehension accounting actual social transforming processes in the health care system. Simultaneously, another comprehension is required related to altering situation in health care system itself, transformation of views of patient on process of rendering of medical care and expectations from health care system, alterations of concepts of patient-physician relationships, reorganization of models of interaction of a single individual with the state, society, social institutes and groups.

This chapter continues the exploration of semantics and its relevance for the art of written expression for interpreting Old Testament narratives. Contemporary and biblical examples of figurative expression are identified and analyzed in their literary and cultural contexts. Three examples from the book of Ruth are analyzed. Naomi’s bitterness in Ruth 1:20–21 is explored in the context of the prayers of lament in ancient Israel. The common description of Boaz and Naomi as persons of worth (hayil) contributes to their positive representation of an Israelite community ethos. The description of Boaz as a kinsman-redeemer offers an example of a term representing a social institution in Israel for the support or rescue of family members in distress.
