This study discusses the Contribution of Leadership Behavior and Work Motivation with Professional Competence in Islamic Senior High School  in Pangkalan Susu District which aims to find out 1). How is the contribution of Leadership Behavior with Teacher Professional Competence in Islamic Senior High School Pangkalan Susu District, 2). How the Contribution of Work Motivation with Professional Competence of Teachers in Islamic Senior High School in Pangkalan Susu District, 3). How is the contribution between Leadership Behavior and Work Motivation with Professional Competence of Teachers in Islamic Senior High School in Pangkalan Susu District. This type of research is quantitative with multiple regression. The population in this study amounted to 51 teachers and the study was conducted with a total sample. The technique used in analyzing the data is to use the Multiple Regression technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between Leadership Behavior and Work Motivation with Professional Competence in Islamic Senior High School in Pangkalan Susu District. This is evidenced by the calculation of the variables of Leadership Behavior and work motivation on the professional competence of teachers of 0.543 with a probability (p) of 0.000. Because the probability value (p) < 0.05, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that leadership behavior and work motivation make a significant contribution to the professional competence of teachers in Pangkalan Susu District

This study is to describe the developent of pedagogical competence, professional competence, personal competence, and social competence of the International Standard Pioneer School in State Senior High School 1 Temanggung. The focus in this study were teacher professional development  of the international  standard pioneer school in State Senior High School 1 Temanggung, by observing the development of pedagogical competence, competence professional, personal competence, and social competence of the international   standard pioneer school in State Senior High School 1 Temanggung. The study is the qualitative research with the ethnography approach. This research was conducted in State Senior High School 1 Temanggung year 2010/2011, the source of the data  obtained  from  the  principal,  vice  principal,  head  of  the  International  Standard Pioneer School programs, teachers, librarians, and students. Data collected by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Validity of the data was done by triangulation techniques. Analysis of the data used is a model of interactive analysis.   The results of this research can be concluded that the development of pedagogical competence of teachers  of the international   standard pioneer school in State Senior High School 1 Temanggung teachers include longer emphasizes the management aspects of learning, the development of  professional competence include the  aspect  of  improving the  skills  and  aspects of knowledge, competence development aspects of personality include mental, spiritual, and the  formation  of  professional  ethics  that  provides  a  change  in  attitude  teachers  in managing learning, while the component that was developed in the social competence includes the development of emotional intelligence, and development of teachers' roles in professional organizations (MGMP). Developed in the fourth aspect is the competence of the teacher professional development efforts that improve teacher quality, and improving the quality of the learning process that led to improved quality of learning outcomes in schools  RSMABI. Strategi  used  in  the  professional development of    the  international standard pioneer school in State Senior High School 1 Temanggung teachers is through training activities  conducted both  central  and  local  government, or  in-house training workshops held in schools, mentoring subject teachers by the facilitator / lecturer, teacher participation in professional organizations MGMP;   procurement S-2 scholarships for further studies in Mathematics and Science teachers. Constraints are found covering the internal factors are lack of motivation of teachers, school layout, and inadequate infrastructure, as well as external factors are lack of support from Temanggung District government in improving the educational qualifications (S-2).

Determinants of Drug Abuse Among Adolescents in 24 Senior High School Jakarta  Introduction. The number of drug abuse in adolescents has increased dramatically. Survey conducted in2006 and 2009 shows pattern that drug abuse risk in big city is higher rather than in small city. It is alsoidentified that the risk level of drug abuse in adolescents is different from one to another. The differencesare caused by several factors. This study aims to determine some factors believed to have associationwith the risk of drug abuse in adolescents in 24 Senior High School, Jakarta.Methods. This study is a quantitative analytical research using cross sectional design. Location of thestudy was in 24 Senior High School, Jakarta. Research was conducted during March – August 2016.Population of this study was all student grade 10 and 11 in 24 Senior High School, Jakarta which is 350students. Variable dependent in this study is drug abuse risk and independent variables are individual,drug and environment characteristic. Sampling was chosen using proportional stratified randomsampling. The total sample was 91 people. Data analysis was using uni variate and bivariate analysis.Resulst. The results showed from 8 variables, only 6 variables that have relationship with the risk of drugabuse in teenagers / students. Those variables are drug factors; availability (p value = 0.000 PR = 2,595% CI 1566-3909), and the ease of getting drugs (p value = 0,009 PR = 1,7 95% CI 1114-2437),individual factors; gender (p value = 0,000 PR = 2,6 95% CI 0626-4218), and knowledge (p value =0048 PR = 1,5 95% CI 0966-2340), environmental factors; family (p value = 0.003 PR = 1,8 95% CI1174-2739), and friends (association) (p value = 0,000 PR = 2,4 95% CI 1512-3647).Conclusions. Variables that have relationship with the risk of drug abuse are drug factors (availability,the ease of getting drugs) individual factors (gender, knowladge) and environment factors (family, friend)

Assessment literacy is part of the Economics teachers’ professional competence, yet little attention in the form research has been undertaken in this area. This study therefore explored Senior High School (SHS) Economics teachers’ conceptions of the purposes for undertaking classroom assessment. In specific terms, the study investigated Economics teachers’ understanding of the various motives that inform their assessment practices. The study also examined the influence of the Economics teachers’ demographic variables such as age, gender, and teaching experience on their conceptions of classroom assessment. It further assessed the influence of formal training in assessment on the teachers’ conceptions of the construct. The study was a descriptive type which employed the survey method. Participants of this study comprised 301 Senior High School Economics teachers drawn from the Central and Ashanti regions of Ghana. The participants were made up 213 male and 88 female teachers. A 50-item version of Brown’s Teachers’ Conceptions of Assessment (TCoA) inventory scale was adopted as the questionnaire for this study. Using a test-retest procedure of two-week interval, the TCoA which also made provisions for the demographic data of respondents on a different section, was administered on 36 Economics teachers. A reliability index of .813 was obtained. The data were analyzed using mean, t-test, and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistical techniques.The findings of the study showed that a majority of the Economics teachers (mean score = 3.01) consented to the idea that classroom assessment leads to improvement in teaching and learning as well as ensuring school accountability (mean score = 3.27). The study also found that gender and age did not influence teachers’ conception of assessment. The study recommends that community of learners be organized for experienced and less experienced Economics teachers to enable them exchange ideas on the various purposes of classroom assessment.

Improving the quality of education is the responsibility of all stake holders, especially teachers during the process of learning in the classroom. Therefore, there is a need for teacher competence development that is influenced by various factors such as the principal's efforts. Based on this, the author wants to conduct a research entitled efforts of the principal school in developing teacher competence to improve the quality of education in the Public Senior High School in Banda Aceh which aims to determine the factors that can affect, the constraints faced and the efforts of principals in developing teachers’competency to improve the quality of education at SMA Negeri Kota Banda Aceh. Population and sample in this study were all principals of Public Senior High School in Banda Aceh as many as 16 headmaster are taken as sample (total sample). This is a descriptive research method with qualitative approach. data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentaries. Data was analyzed using simple statistics that is by tabulating the data in the table, calculating frequency and percentage then drawing conclusion. The results showed that the factors that affect teachers’ competence and the quality of education is the effort of the principal, training attended by teachers; learning facilities; teaching experience, health condition and educational background. Constraints faced against pedagogical and professional competence. The principal's efforts to develop highly effective and efficient teacher competencies can be done through MGMP empowerment, academic and clinical supervision and workshops or training with peers in schools. Students’ learning achievement can be increased by giving extra class in the afternoon, enrichment, remedial, and regular try out.

This study aimed to analyze the effects of job stress and work motivation on employee satisfaction on Air PT.Sriwijaya Makassar. This research data obtained from questionnaires, literature studies and interviews with relevant parties in accordance penelitian.Teknik destination using multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis, the F test and t test. Total sample of 53 employees using simple random sampling method.The data analysis method is used in hypothesis testing Multiple Regression Analysis.The results showed that the stress of work and work motivation simultaneously influence and significant impact on job satisfaction of employees at Air PT.Sriwijaya Makassar. Partially, variable work motivation is the most influential variable on job satisfaction.

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher professional competence and work motivation on teacher performance. This study employed survey method with Likert scale questionnaire as the data collection technique. The data was analyzed by using multiple regressions. The results show that professional competence and work motivation have significant positive effects on teacher performance. Thus, professional competence and work motivation can be improved through teacher performance improvement.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi profesional guru dan motivasi kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode survey dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi professional dan motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Dengan demikian kompetensi professional dan motivasi kerja dapat ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan kinerja guru.

Abstract: This research aims to: a) describe supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation, and teacher performance on state senior high school in Semarang City; b) find out direct and indirect effect of supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation to teacher performance on state senior high school in Semarang City. Data analisys use SEM and LISREL. The population cover all teacher of state senior high school in Semarang City and the population are 399 teachers.Research result shows: a) the result of descriptive statistic of supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation are good; b) the resulft of confirmation assesment on descriptive statistic of supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation are positively effect teacher performance. Abstrak: Penelitian ini untuk bertujuan: a) deskripsi supervisi, kompensasi, iklim kerja, kepuasan kerja, motivasi kerja dan kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kota Semarang; b) besarnya pengaruh langsung dan tak langsung supervisi, kompensasi, iklim kerja, kepuasan kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kota Semarang. Analisis data menggunakan SEM (Struktural Equation Model), program statistika LISREL (Linear Structural Realitionship). Populasi penelitian seluruh guru SMA Negeri Kota Semarang dan sampel penelitian ditentukan sejumlah 399 guru. This research aim to determine the effect of performance on teachers satisfaction in Public Senior High Schools in Lombok, Indonesia. This study is a quantitative study was conducted in Lombok with a population of 580 teachers. The total sample of 85 teachers was obtained by a proportional random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed by regression. The results showed that performance has an impact on teacher satisfaction. The teachers of public senior high school in Lombok will be satisfied if their performance is very good. It was concluded that one way to maintain teacher satisfaction is by improving performance
