This present study comes to investigate teachers' views on what constitutes teacher professionalism and whether these views are influenced by gender, age, educational level and teaching experience. Both a qualitative and a quantitative research approach were chosen. Three teachers were interviewed, whereas 83 teachers completed the questionnaire. According to the findings, professionalism is related to the teacher's knowledge, personal and interpersonal skills. In addition, a large proportion of participants associate professionalism with mastering basic communication skills, developing problem-solving strategies and utilizing appropriate teaching methods. Finally, emphasis is put on developing a culture of collaboration between colleagues and between teachers and parents.

ABSTRACT The teacher is a professional profession in which he is required to make every effort to carry out his profession as well as possible. Teachers need positions or professions that require special expertise. This work cannot be done by someone who does not have the expertise to carry out activities or work as a teacher. Expertise as a professional teacher must master the ins and outs of education and teaching with a variety of other sciences. This study uses a quantitative method, which is a research method in which data is scored into numbers (quantitative) in the collection and analysis of data. Data collection using research instruments, namely questionnaires. Analysis of quantitative / statistical data with the aim of testing hypotheses Data in quantitative research is in the form of numbers (scores, rankings, or frequencies), the data is then analyzed using statistics in order to answer specific research questions or hypotheses, and to make predictions that an variables affect each other. The results showed that: 1) there was a positive influence of education on teacher professionalism with a significance value obtained less than 0.05 (0.046 <0.05). 2) there is a positive effect of training on teacher professionalism with a significance value of 0.036 because the significance price obtained is less than 0.05 (0.036 <0.05). 3) there is a positive influence of teaching experience on teacher professionalism with a significance value of 0.028 because the significance price obtained is less than 0.05 (0.028 <0.05). 4) there is a positive influence of education, training and teaching experience on the professionalism of teachers at SDN Cemplang 1.3 and 4 Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency with an F-count = 28,925. Because Fcount> F-table or 28.925> 2.88, Ho is rejected. So, it can be concluded that education, training, and teaching experience together significantly influence the professionalism of teachers in SDN Cemplang 1.3 and 4, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency. Chemistry is an experimental discipline that uses experimentation as one of its most important research methods. Laboratory work and other practical work are therefore also essential in chemistry lessons. Chemistry demonstrations are used by teachers as an educational approach that can increase students’ interest in chemistry and motivate them to learn chemical concepts with understanding. However, if the students are actively involved in the chemistry demonstration, it can be just as effective as or even more effective than students’ learning through experiments. The purpose of this research is to examine teachers’ opinions about the impact of chemistry demonstrations on students’ interest and chemistry knowledge. Based on a quantitative research approach, 81 primary and secondary school teachers from different regions of Slovenia participated in this study. Participating teachers completed an online questionnaire on their perceptions of the impact of chemistry demonstrations on students’ interest and performance in chemistry classes and on the quality of students’ knowledge of chemistry. The results show that regardless of the years of teaching experience and the frequency of performing chemistry demonstrations, the participating teachers consider such demonstrations to have a positive effect on the motivation and performance of the students in chemistry and on the quality of the students’ knowledge of chemistry.

Policies and strategies for the construction of flats have been launched in various cities, one of which is in Pontianak which is intended for the general public and students. One of the Rusunawa in Pontianak is the Tanjungpura University Flat which is rented out for students which was built in 2009. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out a Post-Work Evaluation of the building that has been used for some time. This study aims to identify and evaluate the Rusunawa building of Tanjungpura University in terms of functional aspects and its application in design solutions. The research approach used is qualitative and quantitative research. The research method used is spatial syntax and place-centred mapping. The results showed that the results of connectivity analysis in spatial syntax showed low values in the drying room and kitchen area and integration analysis on spatial syntax showed low values in building circulation areas 1, 2, 3, and 4. Place centered mapping data showed activity. That residents routinely do on the building. This indicates a change in the function of space and affects the dimensions of space. The post-occupancy evaluation shows a change in the function of space, access to circulation, and the dimensions of space in the building. Based on the results of post-occupancy analysis and evaluation, the design proposal also focuses on variables with functional aspects, namely circulation, dimensions, flexibility and changes in space function.

This research presents an integrative review about the methodological procedures adopted in the research of the Chemistry PCK, with the aim of identifying the data collection instruments used to explain the PCK in this field, seeking to observe its frequency of use and also contribute to the advancement of knowledge established by previous reviews. 89 articles published in magazines well evaluated by CAPES were selected, indexed to the Scopus (Elsevier) database. The treatment of the data was based on the technique of content analysis, resulting in six categories constructed a posteriori: a) period of publications; b) country of origin of the research; c) relationship to a specific topic; d) the teaching experience of the target audience; e) research approach and data collection instruments; and f) the use of PCK models as a theoretical framework. The results suggest a methodological predominance of a qualitative nature, with interviews, field diaries, observation of the practice, and questionnaires some of the most used instruments. Besides, a trend related to the specification of topics in the Chemistry discipline can be identified, as well as the lack of clarity regarding the variety of PCK models present in the literature and the failure to adopt these as a theoretical basis in most of the research studies analysed. There is also an express need to investigate the PCK of Chemistry teachers in practice in higher education since the results reinforce the scarcity of papers for this specific audience. A quarter century ago, in 1987, Charles C. Ragin published The Comparative Method, introducing a new method to the social sciences called Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA). QCA is a comparative case-oriented research approach and collection of techniques based on set theory and Boolean algebra, which aims to combine some of the strengths of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Since its launch in 1987, QCA has been applied extensively in the social sciences. This review essay first sketches the origins of the ideas behind QCA. Next, the main features of the method, as presented in The Comparative Method, are introduced. A third part focuses on the early applications. A fourth part presents early criticisms and subsequent innovations. A fifth part then focuses on an era of further expansion in political science and presents some of the main applications in the discipline. In doing so, this paper seeks to provide insights and references into the origin and development of QCA, a non-technical introduction to its main features, the path travelled so far, and the diversification of applications.

The design of a building requires various stages of calculation that consider many aspects so that the results that are in accordance with its functions are not only seen from structural aspects but also economic and aesthetic aspects are also taken into consideration. In building planning, the aesthetic and architectural development in it often leads to irregular / asymmetrical forms of buildings which then cause problems with building seismic irregularities. The building of the Universitas Khairun Postgraduate must be a strong, sturdy educational building and has an attractive and formal architectural appearance. Therefore researchers are interested in examining the structure of the building. The approach in this study is to use a qualitative and quantitative research approach. both approaches are used together or combined, where the approach is used interchangeably. In the first stage using a qualitative approach, so that the architectural concept of building Postgraduate was found. Furthermore, the structure of the building was tested by quantitative methods using the Sap 2000 program. The purpose of this study is to compile the analysis of structural and architectural concepts in the Building of the Universitas Khairun Postgraduate.
