In our research experimental trial we have fed the selected 40 head of Landrace piglets, of 3 months old by concentrated mixed feed enreched with 2.0, 4.0 and 6.0 percent of zeolite during 60 days. For the case of the trials when used concentrated feed without zeolite the feed consumption per 1 kg weight gain was 4.7 kg (P <0.05). When experimented piglets are fed by concentrated mixed feed contained zeolite at 4 and 6 percent, the feed consumption was 4.3 kg of feed, which is the lowest feed consumption. The daily weight gain of the experimental groups was 221–270 g, and there was no significant difference between them. The addition of zeolite by 6.0% to the experimental pig feed ration resulted in a decrease in daily weight gain and slaughter yield. However, the inclusion of zeolite in the ration at 4.0% fully satisfies the daily mineral requirements, making it suitable for young pigs. Цеолитоор баяжуулсан багсармал тэжээлээр өсвөр гахайг тэжээсэн  судалгааны үр дүнгээс Landrace үүлдрийн 3 сарын настай 40 толгой өсвөр гахайны бүрэн найрлагат багсармал тэжээлийн жорд цеолитыг 2.0 %, 4.0%, ба 6.0 % баяжуусан 45 хоногийн хугацаанд тэжээлийн туршилт явуулсан. Цеолит оролцуулаагүй жороор 1 кг мах нэмэгдүүлэхэд 4.7 кг тэжээлийг зарцуулсан (P <0.05). Цеолитыг жорд 2.0%-р оролцуулахад 4.5 кг, 4.0% ба 6.0%-н цеолитыг оролцуулахад 4.3 кг багсармал тэжээл зарцуулж байгаа нь хамгийн бага тэжээл зарцуулж байв. Туршилтын бүлгүүдийн хоногийн нэмэгдэл жин нь 221-270 гр байсан ба энэ нь  хооронд мэдэгдэхүйц ялгаатай биш байв. Туршилтын гахайны тэжээлийн жорд цеолит 6.0%-р нэмснээр хоногийн нэмэгдэл жин болон нядлагын гарц буурах зүй тогтол ажиглагдаж байв. Abstrak. Penggunaan konsentrat komersial (683) untuk memacu pertambahan berat badan kambing kacang yang diberi pakan dasar hijauan campuran telah dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Ternak Potong Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh. pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pertambahan berat badan harian pada kambing kacang jantan yang diberikan kosentrat komersial (683) dan hijauan campuran. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Bujur Sangkar Latin (RBSL) yaitu dengan menggunakan empat perlakuan dan empat periode (ulangan). Masing-masing perlakuan adalah pelakuan A (0% pellet 683) perlakuan B (20% pellet 683), perlakuan C (40% pellet 683), dan pelakuan D (60% pellet 683). Data penelitian yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). Parameter yang diamati adalah : Pertambahan berat badan, Konsumsi pakan, Konversi pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang sangat nyata (P0.01) terhadap konsumsi ransum. Namun terjadi perbedaan yang tidak nyata (P0,05) pada parameter pertambahan berat badan dan efesiensi ransum. Use of Commercial Concentrates (683) to Stimulate Weight Loss of Goat kacang Provided with Basic Mixed Forage FeedAbstract. The use of commercial concentrate 683 to accelerate the growth of kacang goat fed with mixed forage has been conducted at the Laboratory of Technology and Livestock Production, the Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University of Banda Aceh. from August to October 2017. The objective of this study was to determine the daily weight gain in kacang goat given commercial concentrate (683) and mixed green. The design used in this study was Latin Square Design (RBSL) wash four treatments and four periods (replication). The treatment ware A (0% pellet 683) B (20% pellet 683), C (40% pellet 683), and D (60% pellet 683). The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). Parameters observed were: Weight gain, Feed consumption, Feed conversion. The results showed a significant difference on (P 0.01) to the consumption of rations. However, the difference was not significant (P 0.05) on the parameter of weight gain and ration efficiency.

Abstract This study aims to improve the production performance of Murrah buffalo which covers average weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion by increasing probiotic feed. The research was conducted on the herd of Murrah buffalo at Kelok Rambai, Kapau Village, West Sumatera, Indonesia. Fifteen Murrah buffaloes with three to five years of age were used in the research. There were three treatments conducted including P1 = basal feed + probiotics; P2 = P1 + concentrate (cassava leaf pellet); and P3 = P1 + commercial concentrate (pellet). All three treatments were also given 7 cc/head/month of probiotics. The results of the study with probiotic feeding on Murrah buffalo showed the average feed consumption of P2 (36.55), P3 (35.99), P1 (35.74) and daily weight gain (DWG) P2 (1.09 kg/head/day), P3 (0.91 kg/head/day), P1 (0.55 kg/head/day) did not show a significant difference, while in feed conversion, P2 (0.68 ), P1 (0.46), P3 (0. 31) it showed a significant difference (p>0.05). This study concludes that the provision of basal ration plus cassava leaf pellets showed significant results on feed conversion in Murrah buffalo but did not show significant differences in feed consumption and DWG. However, it showed a substantial enough average of P2 that could be used as a feed supplement in Murrah buffalo.

The objective of the researh was to study the effect of additions soybean meal in ration on the feed consumption, daily weight gain and feed convertion in Simmental cattle. The experiment used eight male Simmental cattle around 2 years old with an average weight of 198,65 ± 14,57 kilograms. The cattle kept for 35 days and given rations P0 (rations ranchers) and P1 (rations plus soybean meal). Data was obtained, then analyzed using independent sample t-test assisted with SPSS version 17.00 software. The result showed that the addition of soybean meal did not affect on dry matter consumption, daily weight gain, and feed convertion but, the crude protein consumption was increased. Summary Native fruits from Caatinga vegetation can be an important alternative to improve the productive performance of kids in the semi-arid region of Brazil. This work aimed to evaluate the effect of supplementation with Umbuzeiro fruits in natura over the weight gain and anthelmintic control of kids kept in Buffel grass pasture in the semi-arid zone of Pernambuco, Brazil. Twenty-four castrated, crossbreed kids were allocated into three treatments: 1) Control (n = 8) fed exclusively with Buffel grass; 2) Umbu 1x (n = 8) fed with fruits once a week and 3) Umbu 3x (n = 8) fed with fruits for three times a week. The following parameters were evaluated: variation of body weight, faecal egg counts (FEC) and coproculture. Overall, the average consumption of Umbu fruits in natura was 1.48 kg/animal/day, which corresponded to 133.5 g daily dry matter intake (DMI/animal/day). There were no significant difference (P>0.05) for any parameters evaluated. During the experimental period, the overall daily weight gain was variable between 108.75 to 116.70 g/animal/day and the average FEC was 436 eggs. In the present study, the goat kids supplemented with fresh umbu fruits showed a good productive performance, however the supplementation with umbu did not control the infestation of gastrointestinal nematodes in kids.

ABSTRACT. Tempe of soybean is fermented soybean with Rhizopus ologosporus fungus. From a result of researchers, it is the fact that tempe can increase valuable of nutrion and digest capacity and also produce antibiotic . Utilization of abtibiotic in chiken food as stimulus growth in not recommended because it can cause resistance a certain germ and it is presume there are antibiotic residu in egg and chiken meat. It is hope that the use of fermented soybean oil meal can increase nutrient value and digest capacity as well as produce antibiotic, so that it can get a better growth and over come a problem of using antibiotic in chiken food. The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of fermented soybean oil meal utilization in the ration on body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion and mortality. The study use 80 unsex day old chick broiler CP-707 and conducted at Poulty Laboratory Product Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University. Chiken were putting in 27 houses unit, each unit contain of four chiken. The design of experiment was Completely Randomized Design, four treatments and five replication. The treatments were ration contained 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% fermented soybean oil meal as replace the use of soybean oil meal. The protein and energy content of all dietary treatments were equally composed from six weeks investigation, were body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion and mortality. The result of the study indicated that up to 10% graded of fermented soybean oil meal in ration were significant difference influenced increase the body weight gain and decrease the feed conversion. The fermented soybeanoil meal) utilization more than 10% were significant difference decrease the body weight gain and increase the feed conversion. If the inclusion was increase the feed consumption would tendency decline. In this study there were no mortality in all treatment. In can be advised from this study that fermented soybean oil meal could be used in broiler ration or in all poulty ration.

Two experiments were conducted to determine the efficiency of dietary lysine and threonine retention for carcass protein accretion in pigs within a body weight range of 10–20 kg. At the beginning of the experiments, an initial representative group of 6 pigs were killed for carcass compositional analysis. In the first experiment, conducted to determine the efficiency of dietary lysine retention, a basal diet was formulated to contain 6 g of lysine kg−1. Twelve pigs were fed the basal diet supplemented with L-lysine∙HCl to contain 6, 7, or 8 g of lysine kg−1. Daily weight gain and gain:feed ratio were higher (P < 0.05) for pigs fed 8 g of lysine than for pigs fed 6 g of lysine kg−1 diet. The accretion rates of dry matter, protein, ash, and lysine in the carcass were higher for pigs fed 8 g of lysine than for pigs fed 6 g of lysine kg−1 diet. A linear regression of daily carcass lysine accretion on daily lysine intake resulted in a 72% efficiency of carcass lysine accretion above maintenance. In the second experiment, three diets including a basal diet formulated to contain 4 g of threonine kg−1 and supplemented with L-threonine to contain 4, 4.65, or 5.3 g of threonine kg−1 were fed to 12 pigs. Rate and efficiency of body weight gain exhibited a dose-response improvement (P < 0.05) to an increase in dietary threonine. Carcass protein, ash, and threonine accretion rates were higher (P < 0.05) for pigs fed 5.3 g of threonine than those fed 4 g of threonine kg−1 diet. Linear regression of daily carcass threonine accretion on daily threonine intake resulted in extra-maintenance efficiency of threonine retention of 60%. The efficiencies of dietary lysine and threonine utilization for carcass growth in pigs within the liveweight range of 10–20 kg are 72 and 60%, respectively. The objective of this study was to develop the least-cost starter&rsquo;s diet and evaluated its effect on the growth performance of Sasso breeds and Indigenous ecotype of chicks under the local condition of the South Gondar Zone. The effects of substitution of different levels of commercial starters ration with homemade diet on the growth performance of Sasso and Indigenous chicks were studied in Hiruy Abaregay village of Farta district. The research area is 586km distant from the capital city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A total of 510 Sasso T-44 and 90 Indigenous local ecotypes day-old chicks were randomly divided into five groups, each with 102 and 18 chicks, respectively. These were assigned into five treatments in which 100 (T1), 75 (T2), 50 (T3), 25 (T4), and 0% (T5) of commercial starter&rsquo;s diet in factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications for 60 days feeding period. The results obtained indicated that increased levels of substitution of a commercial diet with a homemade diet significantly depressed (p&lt;0.001) mean daily feed consumption and retention of dry matter, nitrogen, and metabolizable energy. Growth rate as measured by mean daily weight gain, mean final body weight, and total feed consumption and feed cost were significantly miserable (p&lt;0.001) in an increased homemade diet. On the contrary, there was an increase in feed conversion ratio and fiber content in high-level dilution of starter&rsquo;s commercial diet with a homemade diet. However, the groups of chicks on 0, 25, and 50% commercial starters diets replaced by homemade diet were significantly higher (p&lt;0.001) in mean daily feed intake, daily weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and final body weight attained. The results of this study indicated that up to 50% of expensive commercial starter&rsquo;s diet could economically be replaced with the least cost homemade diet without adversely affecting the growth performance of chicks.

This study aims to determine the effect of fermented sago pulp in rations on performance (weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion) and local sheep's income over feed cost (IOFC). This research was carried out in the community farms of Karang Rejo Village, Stabat District, Langkat Regency. This research started from March to June 2017. The design used was complete randomized design (RAL), with 4 treatment of 5 replications. Each replication consisted of 1 local sheep with an initial weight of 11.05 ± 0.56 kg. The treatment consisted of P1 (50% sago pulp without fermentation + forage), P2 (60% of sago pitch without fermentation + forage), P3 (50% fermented sago pulp + forage), and P4 (60% fermented sago pulp +). The observed variables were performance (body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion) and income over feed cost (IOFC). The results showed that the treatment of fermented sago pulp gave a very real effect (P <0.01) on daily weight gain. The mean of P1 = 33,05 g, P2 = 39,95 g, P3 = 46,57 g, P4 = 54,38g. The consumption of fermented sago pulp treatment has a real effect (P <0,01). With average P1 = 486,38 g, P2 = 548,68 g, P3 = 604,69 g, P4 = 671,11 gr. Against the conversion of fermented sago pulp fermentation treatment gave a real effect (P <0.05). With average P1 = 14.78, P2 = 13.90, P3 = 12.99, P4 = 12,49. IOFC the highest local sheep is Rp. 121.568 on treatment of P4 and IOFC lowest at treatment P1 equal to Rp.73.315. The conclusion of the research shows that the utilization of fermented sago pulp can increase body weight gain, feed consumption, local sheep feed conversion. P4 treatment economically has a better economic level than P1,P2 and P3.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to assess the levels of available phosphorus (AP) in the diet of growing pigs selected for lean deposition on the hematological, biochemical, and bone performance parameters. A total of 64 commercial hybrid pigs (32 castrated males and 32 females; mean initial weight: 23.31±2.4kg; age: 55-90 days) were used. Animals were distributed into a randomized block design with four treatments, eight replicates, and two animals (one male and one female) per experimental unit. The treatments consisted of a basal diet and another three diets, which were obtained by supplementing the basal diet with dicalcium phosphate replacing the inert phosphate, resulting in four diets with 0.100, 0.180, 0.260, and 0.340% of available phosphorus. The levels of available phosphorus quadratically influenced the daily weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion, which increased up to the estimated levels 0.331; 0.330, and 0.302% of available phosphorus. Levels of phosphorus showed no influence on the hematological parameters, which remained within the reference values. Levels of available phosphorus increased linearly the ash and phosphorus contents in the metacarpal bone and decreased linearly the alkaline phosphatase activity. Levels of available phosphorus (0.331 and 0.302%, corresponding to a daily intake of 5.73 and 5.18g d-1) provided respectively the best results for weight gain and feed conversion in pigs with high genetic potential, without change in hematological parameters.

AbstractIn a blind, placebo-controlled trial, a homoeopathic dynamized dilution of Sulphur 201c was given orally to pregnant sows every 10 days. No significant difference was detected between the birth weight of litters (39 piglets) of treated sows and control litters (40 piglets). On day 30 statistically significant differences were observed both in the final weight of litters, mean total and daily weight gain.
