This article draws on qualitative research to examine Mohajir women’s construction of and understanding of their ethnopolitical Mohajir identity in the port city of Karachi, Pakistan, The Mohajir identity is constructed around a shared language amongst individuals with historically diverse backgrounds, and has proven to be a potent yet divisive ethnopolitical identity. The article argues that in order to assuage the grievances of the Mohajirs, sociopolitical steps such as elimination of the job quota system must be taken by the government in order for sustainable peace to be achieved.

This paper discusses the challenges of records management that arise from the use of adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, despite the advantages of using such buildings. A qualitative research approach was used as well as a case study research design. Data were collected from seven officers of the Gweru Records Centre through semi-structured interviews. Personal observation was used to triangulate findings from interviews. It was found that the use of adapted buildings as records centres was a cheaper and quicker way of establishing records centres throughout the country. However, a number of preservation, security and management challenges cropped up as the conditions of the buildings and the environment of the adapted buildings were not conducive to the proper and professional management of records. This study is important in that it explores the prospects and challenges of using adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, an area that has not been researched by many authors. This provokes archival authorities and the government to seriously consider establishing purpose-built records and archival centres.

This article discusses the poem "Sajak Pertemuan Mahasiswa" by W.S. Rendra. The discussion of this poem is motivated by efforts and efforts to apply the concept of poetry structure put forward by Lévi-Strauss. The description of the structure of this poem aims to display the structure of the poem consisting of the outer structure (surface structure) and the inner structure (deep structure). The outer structures that will be discussed are forms of text, diction, and sound, while the inner structures that will be discussed are imagery, compounds, and themes. The method used in this study is descriptive of analytics with a type of qualitative research, namely placing the text of poetry as the object and research data. Data collection techniques are done by identifying, classifying, and recording. Data anlysis is done by meaning direct and directed content. Analysis is done by discussing the structure of poetry consisting of text, diction, and sound, imagery, compounds, and themes. The results showed that the structure of Lévi-Strauss poetry can determine the overall meaning and message of poetry. The use of blank verse, simple diction, dominance of vocal sounds /a/, thought imagery, and metaphorical-rhetorical majas refers to the theme of "openness". This theme can be interpreted very broadly, namely openness to justice, education, employment, income, and livelihood. This openness is tried by students as agents of change and a bridge between the government and the people.

This paper examines how the partnership was established between the Sleman Government and the peasant group of Tri Tunggal in Wonorejo—a policy appropriate partnership. It is known that the perceived policy sometimes turns things around with what is in the field or the right target regulations according to the needs of the community. This article is based on two theories, top-down policies and social capital as a form of organizing peasant groups. In answering the question, in fact, this article is an extension of the design of a qualitative research model that describes, analyzes, and interprets field data in a narrative way. For that, the method of interviewing, observation, and documentation is chosen to complete the data until it can be interpreted into the new meaning of science. Thus, this research has produced some interesting findings, such as government partnership to peasant group of Tri Tunggal with the approach of counseling, mentoring, and marketing of the agricultural product. As a matter of fact, the regulation is a reference for the government in empowering peasant groups.[Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana kemitraan yang dibangun antara Pemerintah Sleman dengan Kelompok Tani Tri Tunggal Wonorejo—kemitraan yang sesuai dengan kebijakan.

Abstract. Expressions of youth citizenship are evident in young people’s actions, behaviours, and lived experiences. While youth citizenship literature has proliferated in the last two decades, the focus has often been on rights and responsibilities, rather than the differences in citizenship practices amongst youth themselves. Using a qualitative research design, our study explores how youth-with-care-experience practice citizenship. We conducted twenty semi-structured interviews with youth-with-care-experience between the ages of 14-24 in Greater Victoria, Canada. Analysis of participants’ narratives reveals three types of citizenship practices: self-responsible, dissenting and reluctant citizenship. We discuss our findings in the context of the literature on youth citizenship, focusing on the ways that it is contextualized by experiences with family, peers, institutions, and the government care system.
