The study examined group polarization in decision-making among teacher-members of disciplinary panels based on secondary school affiliations in Kenya. The pre-post with Nonequivalent Control Group design was used. A sample size comprised of 78 teacher-members of disciplinary panels in 10 secondary schools. Group polarization was measured with decision tasks from the Modified Choice Dilemma Questionnaire (Kogan & Wallach, 1964). A multivariate test was used to analyze the data. Findings indicated significant differences in group polarization in decisions among teachers on the bases of school affiliations were reported on the effect of behaviour problem regarding disciplinary tone. This finding implied that school affiliations play an important role in management of students’ behavior problems. The study recommended that schools should provide training for school disciplinary panel members before they take up their roles in student behavior management.

This study aims to find out which factors, between the word of mouth (WoM) or marketing promotion programs (MPP), drive motivation (push and pull); to explore the influence of travel motivation toward satisfaction, and to investigate the satisfaction effect of medical tourists with loyalty. This study used a survey method by distributing questionnaires to medical tourists from Indonesia (N = 152) who have visited hospitals in Malaysia for medical care at least once. Data analysis was carried out using several statistical procedures. Firstly, a multivariate test was conducted to find out whether there is a statistically significant difference in the push and pull motives based on the influencers. Second, multiple linear regression is performed to find out the influence of push and pull variables on satisfaction. Finally, a simple linear regression is calculated to find out the influence of satisfaction on loyalty. The findings show that there is a statistically significant difference in the push and pull motives based on the influencers (WoM or MPP). The effect size of both push and pull is almost equal. The relationship between push or pull and satisfaction is also statistically significant as 41.3% of the variance in the satisfaction is explained by the push and 51.8% by pull factors. Finally, satisfaction is a significant predictor for loyalty while 90.2% of the variance in loyalty is explained by satisfaction.

Purpose: This study aims to analyze acoustic characteristics of Korean words and nonwords according to resyllabification and meaningfulness. Methods: The experimental data consisted of 10 homonyms and 10 corresponding words. Computerized Speech Lab (CSL) 4150B was used in a quiet place for recording. Moreover, the randomized word list was presented to 20 subjects, and they were asked to read naturally as if they were talking comfortably to the subjects. The analysis program was Praat 6151 win 64bit (Boersma & Weenink, 2021). Pitch, intensity, and duration of the words and the first and the second syllables were measured, and the resyllabification liaison rules and resyllabification influenced them. To investigate acoustic characteristics according to resyllabification, independent sample t-test and multivariate test were conducted using SPSS 26 for the statistical processing of a syllable’s pitch, intensity, and duration changes. Results: First, there was a significant difference between the groups in post-syllable pitch ratio in words and nonwords, which was 40s–50s pitch change was greater than that of 20s–30s. Second, the post-syllable pitch ratio was a significant difference between gender groups and according to the effect of the liaison rule. Third, the post-syllable duration ratio showed a significant difference between age groups. The post-syllable pitch ratio was a significant difference according to the effect of the liaison rule. Conclusions: Therefore, when resyllabifications are generated by the liaison rule, the change of the post-syllable pitch can be explained by the focus prosody, and further research will be needed to establish a solid basis for this study.

Background: Exclusive Breastfeeding (ASI) according to WHO is the best method of feeding babies, in the period from newborns to 6 months of age without being given other additional foods. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still around 37.3% of the 50% target. . Literature review and previous research show that the practice of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, including maternal age, mother's occupation, mother's knowledge, family support, support from health workers and the IMD process. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of maternal age, occupation, mother's knowledge, family support, support from health workers and the IMD process for the process of exclusive breastfeeding to infants. Methods: An observational quantitative analytical study with a cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in the Ilebura Health Center area, from August to September 2020 with a sample of breastfeeding mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months, with total sampling. The variables in this study consisted of from the independent variables, namely maternal age, mother's occupation, mother's knowledge, family support, support from health workers, and the IMD process. The dependent variable is exclusive breastfeeding. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data analysis using chi square test and multivariate test using logistic regression. Results: This study obtained 71 samples of breastfeeding mothers. Most of the respondents (78.9%) who gave exclusive breastfeeding were aged 25-35 years, had a good level of knowledge and did not work. All respondents in this study received support from their families and health workers, and most of the respondents (85.9) who gave exclusive breastfeeding experienced the IMD process. Bivariate test results showed the relationship between age factor (p = 0.163), occupation factor (p = 0.592), knowledge factor (p = 0.452), IMD process (p = 0.010) on exclusive breastfeeding. The results of the multivariate test showed that the most influential factor on exclusive breastfeeding was the IMD factor. Conclusion: Research shows that there is no relationship between maternal age, mother's occupation, mother's knowledge with exclusive breastfeeding, but there is a relationship between the IMD process and exclusive breastfeeding. The most dominant factor influencing exclusive breastfeeding to infants is the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD). ). Keywords: Factors, Success, Exclusive Breastfeeding

AbstractBenford’s law became a prevalent concept for fraud and anomaly detection. It examines the frequencies of the leading digits of numbers in a collection of data and states that the leading digit is most often 1, with diminishing frequencies up to 9. In this paper we propose a multivariate approach to test whether the observed frequencies follow the theoretical Benford distribution. Our approach is based on the concept of compositional data, which examines the relative information between the frequencies of the leading digits. As a result, we introduce a multivariate test for Benford distribution. In simulation studies and examples we compare the multivariate test performance to the conventional chi-square and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, where the multivariate test turns out to be more sensitive in many cases. A diagnostics plot based on relative information allows to reveal and interpret the possible deviations from the Benford distribution.
