When teenagers are given access to digital media equipment, their teachers and film club leaders may hope that they will take the opportunity to make films of personal significance. Instead, young people often choose to engage in a parodic dialogue with popular culture, in a process which feels more familiar and/or comfortable to them, providing as it does a creative space unburdened by expectations of sincere expression. From a survey of numerous short films made in Scotland, it is evident that the use of pastiche and parody facilitates both progressive and reactionary perspectives, often within the same film. Exploring a series of detailed case studies of films made by young people in Scotland in the early 2000s, this article argues that parody can provide for young people an aesthetic distance from personal expression, which, ironically, is unexpectedly revealing of generalised teenage sociocultural attitudes.

Background: This study tested for differences in personal, social, and environmental correlates of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) across ethnicity/race in male and female adolescents. Methods: Self-reported MVPA and 47 potential correlates of MVPA were measured in an ethnically/racially diverse cross-sectional sample of adolescents, in Minnesota, who participated in EAT-2010 (Eating and Activity in Teens). Interactions of potential correlates with ethnicity/race on MVPA were tested in linear hierarchical regression models in boys and girls. Results: Boys reported 1.7 more weekly hours of MVPA than girls. White adolescents reported 1.1 to 2.1 more weekly hours of MVPA than nonwhite adolescents. Among girls, neighborhood road connectivity was negatively correlated with MVPA among Hispanic and Asian participants. Among boys, sports participation was positively correlated with MVPA among all ethnicities/races, except Asians. Home media equipment was positively correlated with MVPA among Hispanic boys, but negatively correlated among white boys. Conclusions: A few correlates of physical activity among adolescents differed intersectionally by ethnicity/race and sex. Sports participation and home media equipment may have differing impacts on physical activity across ethnicities and races in boys, whereas neighborhood features like road connectivity may have differing impacts on physical activity across ethnicities and races in girls.

The aim of the study was to examine the characteristics and predictor role of goal orientations in learning, schools' level of digital media equipment and the use of digital media in classroom (teaching) quality in lower secondary education (ISCED level 2). The study was conducted on seventh and eighth grade students (N=432) of elementary schools in the City of Zagreb and Split-Dalmatia County. Besides demographic characteristics of students and schools' level of digital media equipment, the data were collected by the Goal orientation questionnaire (CSRL), the Technology implementation questionnaire (TIQ), and Student perception of classroom quality (SPOCQ) questionnaire. It was concluded that, overall, demographic characteristics of students, their goal orientations, school s ' level of digital media equipment, and motivation for use of digital media are significant predictors of student perception of classroom quality, with the highest percentage of variance explained by goal orientations, with emphasis on learning orientation. In this regard, it is evident that for teaching quality in the digital age, goal orientation, i.e., motivation for learning, is most significant, rather than the use of digital media. Comparison with theoretical postulates and implications of these results are explained in this paper. Key words: classroom quality, digital media, elementary school, goal orientations, students

To learn a lesson well, we need to hear, see, ask questions about it, and discuss it with others. Not only that, teachers need to "do it", that is to describe something in their own way, to show their example, to try to practice their skills and to do tasks that demand the knowledge they have gained.Problems that want to be studied in this research are: Is using Audio-Visual model in students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Painan year 2015 – 2016. Steps in using the Audio-Visual implementation method? This research was conducted in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Painan. This place was chosen because based on the results of class observations and interviews with English teachers in the classroom it can be concluded that the skills of students listening in English is still low. This is because teachers do not use adequate techniques, limited books that are in school and media equipment is still lacking. Research time. This research was conducted from early October as a description of the implementation of this study can be seen in the following table: This stage is intended to thoroughly review the actions that have been done, based on data that has accumulated in the previous step. And look for difficulties experienced by students and teachers in the process of action that has been done. Students are invited to discuss each cycle to ask about their difficulties. The teacher reflects on past events as the process of action takes place. All the data obtained are analyzed and evaluated to refine the action in the next cycle or whether or not the treatment given to the students is continued. By knowing that the triggers of low learning activity and learning achievement are in factors such as the method used by the teacher, so the use or replacement of conventional methods into constructivist methods is indispensable, consequently the researchers tried the Audio-Visual learning model in an attempt to solve problems at school.                Based on the low learning activities and student achievement that are presented on the background of the problem, the use of Audio-Visual learning model attempted to be able to complete the purpose of this research is to know the improvement of student achievement. How much improvement has been made clear at the end of the analysis. From the results of the research presented in Chapter IV and all the data that have been submitted, the research objectives submitted can already be achieved. To answer the purpose of research is the achievement of student prestai achievement can be seen evidence that has been submitted. From the baseline data almost all students got the score below, then in cycle I decreased to 8 students and cycle II scores all students above the standard specified in the school. From the initial average of 4.5 increased to 6.3 in cycle I and on the second cycle rose to 7.9. From the initial data no students are complete while in cycle I become more that 4 students and on cycle II all students reach mastery. From all supporting data proving the achievement of learning objectives can be submitted that Audio-Visual model can give the expected answers according to the purpose of this study. All this can be achieved is due to the readiness and hard work of researchers from the time of making the proposal, review the things that have not been good with friends of teachers, preparation of grids and research instruments, the use of means of data triangulation to the implementation of the maximum research.

It will be covering challenges handled, positive aspects and new learning opportunities based at adopted methodology. Theoretical classes were supported by new tools of pedagogical aid to develop learning skills. Examples of tools that could be mentioned are real time computer simulations projected in multi-media equipment, discussions of technical-scientific articles, as well as the use of a Digital Arbitrary Signal Generator combined with a PQ analyzer. With the aim of increase and retain the enrolled students’ interest, practical exercises were added to the course and provided with performance comments concluded activities. This methodology was implemented with the vital cooperation of a student of the Program of Education Improvement (PAE) supported by USP. The PQ classes supervised in association of a PAE scholarship support in teaching activities, promoted better interest and involvement of students during the lectures. Additionally, it improves the teaching atmosphere quality, satisfy and lectures content. Students’ self-confidence on the subject PQ concepts and developed performs was verified and the enhanced number of final course papers in topics correlated to PQ. Despite challenges and upgrades that should be applied, the effects observed so far show that many of the pedagogical instruments, when correctly applied, are capable of enhance the study and attention of significant topics associated to PQ. Likewise, the instruments also encourage and inspire students to learn PQ subjects key and initiate them to the academic research atmosphere and upcoming professional activities. Finally, other activities are still on the list of actions for future work, for example, it would be recommended to have a feedback mechanism of the students, validating all the methodology adopted, strengths and weaknesses of the material developed, the presentation of the lesson and the attendance after the lecture.
