To solve the formalized problem, the foundations of the methodology for assessing the need for state regulation of logistics support under non-military methods of power pressure, allowing to assess the need or redundancy of state influence on logistics support at the macro level, are proposed. This will improve the socio-economic component, for a positive effect in terms of increasing foreign trade turnover, as well as to increase employment and efficiency of human resources and lead to a reduction in the cost of production.

Geographic research of the phenomenon of inter-capital space of the Belarusian-Russian border region is an actual research area problem for the socio-economic geography of Belarus and Russia. This is due to the objective need to develop mechanisms of overcoming the demographic and economic peripherality of the region and embedding regional economic systems of border regions into the system of local relations. The purpose of the research is to identify the current distinctive features of the demographic and economic development of the inter-capital space of the Belarusian-Russian border region with the establishment of its niche from the point of the central-peripheral approach. During the analysis of the demographic situation of the inter-capital space of the Belarusian-Russian borderlands, it was established that, generally, in 1999–2019, its main feature was peripherality with the three zones established – the central demographic periphery, the buffer demographic periphery and the demographic semi-periphery – with a predominance in the structure of the first zone. Geographically, the central periphery zone is formed mainly by the rural borderland areas. According to the results of the analysis of the industrial development level, it was discovered that the inter-capital space of the Belarusian-Russian borderlands is characterised by a high degree of spatial inequality due to the development of large industrial centers around the existing periphery. This research had established a spatial differentiation of the transportation accessibility (by the connectivity of administrative centers of the borderlands) and the productivity of road transportation. The economicgeographical analysis of the foreign trade had revealed the diversity of directions and intensity of foreign goods trade between the Belarusian-Russian borderlands, mainly expressed in the predominance of the export-oriented regions with the per capita foreign trade turnover estimated at up to 2000 US dollars.

The article is devoted to the problems of developing foreign trade relations between Ukraine and China, as China ranks first in terms of trade among other trade partners of Ukraine. The article analyzes the reasons for China's interest in Ukraine and possible benefits for our country. The countries' export, import, foreign trade turnover, and foreign trade balance indicators are studied. The calculated indicators allowed us to state a positive trade balance for most goods, which indicates the advantage of exports over imports. The growth rates of exports and imports for the main product groups are calculated. It is concluded that the dynamics of international trade for ferrous metals, seeds, and fruits export growth rates are the highest, and electric machines and flour products - the lowest. The necessity of direct investments for further development in all spheres of the economy is substantiated. The structure of investment cooperation between Ukraine and China is analyzed, and conclusions are made about the number of direct investments coming from China. Based on the research and study of literature sources on the selected topic, the following conclusions were drawn on the prospects of foreign trade relations between China and Ukraine: it is advisable to study in detail the development of China's interests to adjust Ukraine's export policy to revive cooperation partners of Ukraine; as for the Ukrainian-Chinese trade relations, the following product groups have particular prospects for development: already positive in the foreign trade balance (corn, soybeans, barley, dairy products, honey), negative in the foreign trade balance (poultry, pork, fruits, vegetables) ) and products that do not require special state permits (sunflower oil and a wide range of food products). It is expedient to develop bilateral relations in mutually beneficial areas for both countries; there is a positive trade balance for most goods. For ferrous metals, seeds, and fruits, the export growth rates are the highest. For electric machines and flour products - the lowest, we need to emphasize the stabilization of exports of commodity groups, where export growth has increased. Ukraine needs to make tremendous efforts to join the «One Belt, One Road» initiative as a participant: because our country is only a watchdog. Also, you need to show more initiative and declare your desire to join the project «16 + 1»

Introduction: digitalization has a serious impact on all spheres of life and affects the entire society. For entrepreneurs, it offers many new opportunities – from optimizing industrial production to developing completely new business models. The overall situation is changing rapidly, creating new challenges for the government and society. Consumers, as the weakest market participants, are particularly in need of protection, since they risk being unable to keep up with the rapid pace of business operations. Globalization amplifies these effects: in particular, online commerce benefits from cross-border digital markets. This has led to the emergence of corporations that dominate the markets of different countries. Individual consumers who want to defend their rights face the combined resources of corporations. Thus, consumer protection is a global problem. The purpose of the study: the consideration of the special features of protecting the rights of consumers – participants in foreign trade turnover using digital technologies. Methods: dialectical, system, logical, analysis, synthesis. The results of the study: the mechanisms for the effective protection of consumer rights are investigated. Conclusions: the author justifies the implementation of a set of measures and the creation of a regulatory framework that will expand the rights and opportunities of consumers at the international level and allow settling disputes and compensating for harm. According to the author, modern consumer protection is necessary to ensure a balance of interests of the market participants and to ensure that all participants – from multinational corporations to end consumers – benefit from digitalization, which consists in eliminating the risks of digitalization, using its opportunities and taking into account the interests of all participants.

State authorities may influence the development of seaports by employing the tools of national maritime policy. On the one hand, seaports contribute to the socioeconomic development of coastal regions; on the other, they have a significant impact on foreign trade turnover. The aim of this study is to identify the major factors that have influenced the development of Poland’s seaports in the context of the country’s maritime policy. The paper examines and explains the development and transitions of major Polish seaports such as Gdansk, Gdynia, Szczecin, and Swinoujcie. In order to identify the state of the port economy the authors used public statistics and data analysis. Furthermore, they created a model of comanagement of major seaports and presented a qualitative and quantitative comparison of the development of major seaports from 2005 to 2019. It was discovered that port turnover increased, but in various ways in each of the analysed ports. The government of Poland, acting in a dual role as the coordinator of national maritime policy and the majority owner of seaports, was the most powerful decision-maker in the port economy. However initiatives to implement sustainable principles in seaports have gradually emerged through bottom-up activities of port authorities supported by local and regional authorities.

To study the problems of ensuring food security in Russia under the conditions of external restrictions, an analysis of the dynamic and structural characteristics of the functioning of the country's agri-food complex was carried out. The persistence of positive trends in self-sufficiency and the formation of the personal consumption fund for basic food products is revealed. Changes in foreign trade turnover of food, import substitution in the national food market are assessed. A high dependence of the coun-try's agri-food complex on imports of the main types of machinery and equipment, technologies and innovative developments has been revealed. Qualitative shifts in the sectoral structure of the agri-food complex should be aimed at transformation of crisis sectors and industries on a new technological basis, development and introduction of resource-saving and progressive technologies, and at leveling imbalances in the devel-opment of sectors. The risks of ensuring food security in Russia in modern conditions include a decrease in the effective demand of the population for food products, which is associated with a drop in income and an increase in prices for basic food products in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The necessity of strengthening protectionism and strategic orientation of management of the agri-food complex, formation of a manage-ment system that meets the long-term challenges of globalization has been substantiated.

The article reveals the degree of stability of the economy of Kazakhstan to the consequences of the coronavirus crisis. In particular, the impact of oil prices on GDP growth rates and the adequacy of the monetary reserves stored in the National Fund to support the national economy in the event of long-term persistence of low oil prices are considered. To build a more holistic model, data on the country's foreign trade turnover and the inflow of foreign direct investment were also used. The authors analyzed the development trends of the world economy during the coronavirus pandemic. The prerequisites for a possible recession of countries are identified, which is based on the emerging inversion of the yields of two-year and ten-year US Treasury bonds. Analyzing the issue of income inversion, it was found that it was caused by the recession in financial markets, the depreciation of oil and the decline in business activity around the world, which forced market participants to transfer funds to 10-year Treasuries. With regard to Kazakhstan, the article analyzes the economic consequences of the coronavirus crisis, and also studies the degree of dependence of the economy on oil prices. It was noted that the transition to a diversified economy is becoming especially relevant and priority for Kazakhstan in the context of volatility in oil prices.
