The work is devoted to the study of seed separation process of perennial grasses on a pneumatic-electric separator. It highlights the main problems of their post-harvest treatment. The influence of the regulated parameters - the magnitude of the supply of seeds to the air-separator, the air flow rate and the electric field strength on the quality from the segregated seed material of the perennial rye-grass were determined by conducting a multifactorial experiment. The optimal values of the regulated parameters of the pneumatic electric separation are substantiated, in which the content of heavy separating admixture of weeds in the seed mixture of perennial rye-grass is the least. It is proved that the use in the technological line of seed preparation of perennial grasses of the pneumatic electric separator allows to ensure the quality of the seed material of the perennial rye-grass in accordance with the requirements of the existing standards.

The article is devoted to improving the quality of sowing seeds of grain crops and contains the results of laboratory studies of the coil sowing apparatus with the grooves of the sectional coil made in the form of a torus. The paper presents the optimal design and operating parameters of the coil sowing machine with the grooves of the sectional coil made in the form of a torus to ensure the best uniformity of the distribution of seeds along the length of the row. A multifactorial experiment was carried out to substantiate the optimal values of the design and operating parameters of the coil sowing apparatus. The dependences of the uneven distribution of seeds along the length of the row on the speed of the coil, the radius of the forming circle of the torus and the thickness of the separation disk of the spool-sowing apparatus are established.

Preparation of high-quality seed material for the needs of forest seed stations aimed at the reproduction of forests with seeds with improved hereditary properties requires the use of special seed cleaning machines. The use of such seeds with improved hereditary properties will provide an increase in the productivity, quality and sustainability of plantations. Seed material of different species has features of surface and shape, taking into account these differences, various machines and installations have been developed and widely used. The need to use special machines for magnetic cleaning is caused by the impossibility of high-quality separation of seed material. Analysis of modern technical means of seed preparation showed that the idea of combining air and magnetic cleaning deserves special attention. During pneumomagnetic separation, various forces act on a particle of the seed mixture, the magnitude and direction of which change depending on the design parameters of the working body of the inductor and the position of the particle of the seed mixture in the magnetic field of the inductor. It is possible to study the movement of a particle in the operating channel, as well as to construct a mathematical model, by making some assumptions, the result of which makes it possible to study in theory the influence of design and technological parameters on the separation process of forest seed, as well as to determine the regularities of the process of pneumomagnetic separation. Based on the results of the analysis of the movement trajectories of the seed mixture, curves of the movement of particles are plotted at various values of the magnetic force in the working channel, and graph is presented that illustrates the possibility of carrying out the process of pneumomagnetic separation depending on the ratio of the air flow rate and magnetic force acting on the particle. It has been determined that the process of pneumomagnetic seed cleaning can be effectively carried out at an air flow rate of 3.5 ÷ 5.2 m/s, and a magnetic force of 3.4 × 10-6 ÷ 8 × 10-6N. It is necessary to create a magnetic field induction in the range of 0.115 ÷ 0.177 T in order the magnetic force to have such a value in the working channel.

Applications of modern terminal loads and its relevant disadvantages are described in this paper. The decomposing method of wideband microwave high power microstrip loads design is proposed in this paper with purpose of matching quality improving. Multiple extension of multistage load bandwidth is provided by using of external matching circuit and internal matching inductive elements. The maximum reachable bandwidth of multistage load is estimated and optimal values of mathing circuit elements are founded on basis of equivalent lumped scheme. The topology of microstrip two-stage high power microwave load is developed and its frequency response, calculated via numeric electrodynamic modelling method is outlined in the paper. Modelling results show good matching quality of considered load at the frequency band below 3,5 GHz.

The article analyses the universalization of the seed material by its physical and mechanical properties by means of pre-sowing treatment, resulting in the formation of an artificial shell. As a result of the generalization, a technological scheme of obtaining an encapsulated seed and a design of a seed coating machine was proposed. A simulation model of the sowing accuracy process from the internal friction coefficient of seeds at different root mean square deviations of seed sizes is proposed. The regression equation for the influence of the dynamic mode of operation of the developed experimental sample of seed coating machine is established. According to the experimental studies’ results, the static and dynamic friction coefficients of the encapsulated vegetable seeds on the steel and plastic working surfaces of seed coating machine were established. Under the production conditions, experimental tests were conducted to compare the seedlings of untreated, coated, branded and encapsulated seeds of vegetables by the quality of prepared seed material and sowing time.

The article considers the effect of increasing doses and various combinations of mineral fertilizers applied to the cover crop on the yield and quality of a mixture of perennial grasses of two - years use, as well as the effect of fertilizers on the agrochemical parameters of sod-podzolic light loamy soil. The objects of the study were Stodolich meadow clover and Leningradskaya 204 meadow timothy grass. The studies were carried out in two crop rotations - with standard and reduced single doses of mineral fertilizers. The research results showed that in the years (VIII rotation) when the unit dose of fertilizers was increased to N20P20K25, the yield of perennial grasses was higher compared to the harvest in the VII rotation. The most appropriate dose in the VII rotation on perennial grasses of the 1st year was N30P30K45, on grasses of the 2nd year - doses of N30P30K45 and N40P40K60. In the VIII rotation, the highest yield of perennial grasses of the 1st year of use was obtained at a dose of N160P160K200 (8.4 t / ha), of grasses of the 2nd year of use at doses of N80P80K100 and N100P100K125 (6.5 t / ha). Positive effect of increasing doses of mineral fertilizers on the content of soil organic matter has been noted. On the contrary, the soil acidity increased from 4.7 to 4.3 units with an increase of mineral doses. Higher doses of fertilizers increased the content of mobile forms of phosphorus and potassium in the soil.

Исследовано влияние сочетания нетрадиционных видов сырья – жидкого виноградного сахара и куркумы на качество хлеба из пшеничной муки. Проведена оптимизация дозировок этих рецептурных компонентов по выходным параметрам – удельному объему и формоустойчивости готового изделия. Оптимизацию рецептурного состава хлеба проводили с использованием методов математической статистики и дифференциального исчисления. Построены математические модели в виде регрессионных уравнений. Обработку экспериментальных данных выполняли по статистическим критериям Стьюдента, Кохрена и Фишера при доверительной вероятности 0,95. Дана графическая интерпретация регрессионных уравнений. Оптимизацию рецептурного состава хлеба проводили методом свертывания частных критериев в обобщенный аддитивный критерий. Определены оптимальные значения факторов: дозировка, % к массе муки, жидкого виноградного сахара – 2,50, куркумы – 2,75, обеспечивающие получение изделий с наилучшим сочетанием значений удельного объема и формоустойчивости. На основе полученных данных разработана рецептура и способ производства хлеба «Мерита» профилактической направленности (ТУ 9110–515–02068108–2019), характеризующегося улучшенным качеством и повышенной пищевой ценностью за счет дополнительного внесения биологически активных нутриентов. The influence of a combination of non-traditional raw materials – liquid grape sugar and turmeric on the quality of wheat flour bread has been studied. Optimization of the dosages of these prescription components according to the output parameters – specific volume and dimensional stability of the finished product was carried out with using methods of mathematical statistics and differential calculus. Mathematical models in the form of regression equations are constructed. The experimental data were processed according to the statistical criteria of Student, Cochran, and Fisher with a confidence probability of 0,95. Optimization of the formulation composition of bread was carried out by the method of folding partial criteria into a generalized additive criterion. The optimal values of the factors are determined: dosage, % by weight of flour, liquid grape sugar –2,50, turmeric – 2,75, ensuring the production of products with the best combination of specific volume and dimensional stability. On the basis of the obtained data, the formulation and method of production of bread «Merita» of a preventive orientation (Technical specifications 9110–515–02068108–2019) were developed. The product has improved quality and increased nutritional value due to the additional introduction of biologically active nutrients.

Occupational exposure to microwave radiation (MWR) has become an inevi-table part of life. Therefore, it is essential to assess the MWR effect on hu-man health. In this study, we examined the non-thermal effect of MWR from base transceiver station (BTS) on humans' sleep quality. Total 1150 partici-pants of different zones based on distance from BTS (145 from inter-tower/zone A; 256 from 0-150m/zone B; 241 from 150-300m/zone C, 381 from 300-500m/zone D), and 127 controls from the area without BTS installations were included. We recorded the electric field strength at the subject’s resi-dence using NBM-550 equipped with probe EF0-391. We assessed the sub-jects' sleep quality by administering the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Ques-tionnaire. ANOVA revealed statistically significantly higher electric-field strength in zone B and zone A. Participants of all the groups exhibited a glob-al PSQI score less than the accepted median score of <5. This implies that subjects of all groups had good sleep quality. However, a more detailed anal-ysis using the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests revealed that the participants of exposed zones (except zone D), females, and residents of the 1-5y group had decreased sleep quality compared to control, males, and subjects of >5y group, respectively. From the above findings, it can be con-cluded that the MWR had little effect on the sleep quality, but it does modu-late sleep parameters within the accepted range of good sleep quality as a function of the zone, gender, and year of residence. However, extensive studies involving more BTS are desirable to validate the above conclusion.

Distributed video coding (DVC) is an attractive and promising solution for low complexity constrained video applications, such as wireless sensor networks or wireless surveillance systems. In DVC, visual quality consistency is one of the most important issues to evaluate the performance of a DVC codec. However, it is the fact that the quality of the decoded frames that is achieved in most recent DVC codecs is not consistent and it is varied with high quality fluctuation. In this paper, we propose a novel DVC solution named Joint exploration model based DVC (JEM-DVC) to solve the problem, which can provide not only higher performance as compared to the traditional DVC solutions, but also an effective scheme for the quality consistency control. We first employ several advanced techniques that are provided in the Joint exploration model (JEM) of the future video coding standard (FVC) in the proposed JEM-DVC solution to effectively improve the performance of JEM-DVC codec. Subsequently, for consistent quality control, we propose two novel methods, named key frame quantization (KF-Q) and Wyner-Zip frame quantization (WZF-Q), which determine the optimal values of the quantization parameter (QP) and quantization matrix (QM) applied for the key and WZ frame coding, respectively. The optimal values of QP and QM are adaptively controlled and updated for every key and WZ frames to guarantee the consistent video quality for the proposed codec unlike the conventional approaches. Our proposed JEM-DVC is the first DVC codec in literature that employs the JEM coding technique, and then all of the results that are presented in this paper are new. The experimental results show that the proposed JEM-DVC significantly outperforms the relevant DVC benchmarks, notably the DISCOVER DVC and the recent H.265/HEVC based DVC, in terms of both Peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) performance and consistent visual quality.
