The comparison of eco-friendliness of paper packaging materials from wood and alternative raw materials (straw, fallen leaves, etc.) with polyethylene packaging was made. The analysis was conducted according to the following criteria: consumption of raw materials, electricity, rubbish formation, and price of selling products. Advantages and drawbacks of each raw material type were characterized. It has been mentioned that polymers make a considerable and increasing part in manufacturing packaging materials. The prospects of producing paper bags from leaves and their sales prices were analyzed. The terms of degradation of packages made from different materials were analyzed. The conclusion has been made that paper from fallen leaves is not cheap, but it is important considering its environmental safety.  SWOT analysis of “Spicy pack” enterprise’s activity was analyzed (it will be engaged in manufacturing spicy packages for food products from innovative raw materials). The expediency of making spicy packages for food products was substantiated. In particular, ‘Spicy pack” logo consisting of only eco-paper (made from fallen leaves) and spices was suggested. Such packaging will help prolong 4 times food products’ suitability.  Such spices as cloves, rosemary, oregano, curcuma, and sage having antiseptic properties will be added to packages and napkins. These products will be reused for two-three weeks, then spices vanish, and the paper can be processed.

  The article is devoted to the study of the chemical composition, physical and thermal-pfysical characteristics of damp apple pomaces and the identifying patterns of influence of drying temperature the functional composition and gel-forming ability of pectin. The research is aimed at obtaining initial data for the subsequent calculation of the main technological, hydro-mechanical, thermal, structural and economic characteristics of devices for drying the plant raw materials, ensuring the environmental safety and high quality of pectin-containing raw materials, the reducing heat and energy costs. As a result of the study of the thermal characteristics of apple pomaces, the critical points (temperature conductivity – 16.5 x 10-8 m2/s, thermal conductivity – 0.28 W/m K, heat capacity – 1627 j/(kg K)) at a humidity of 56 % are determined, which characterizing the transition from the extraction of weakly bound moisture to the extraction of moisture with strong bonds (colloidal, adsorption). It was found that the pomaces obtained from apples of late ripening have a higher content of solids (21-23 %), soluble pectin and protopectin (2.5-4.5 %). Dried pomaces obtained from apple varieties of late ripening contain up to 25 % pectin, which allow us to recommend them as a source of raw materials for the production of pectin. The optimum modes of preliminary washing of raw materials are offered, allowing to the remove the ballast substances as much as possible. It is established that when the drying temperature increases, the destructive processes are catalyzed: the strength of the pectin jelly and the uronide component and the degree of pectin esterification are reduced. The optimum drying temperature of damp apple pomaces is 80 0C, at which the quality of pectin extracted from the dried raw materials is maintained as much as possible. It is shown that the most effective for the pectin production is a fraction with a particle size of 3-5 mm, which allow us to extract up to 71 % of pectin from raw materials.

A recent tendency in Ukraine is the changes in the structure of food consumption, which are caused by the reduced consumption of some product groups and by their decreasing quality. A persisting problem is that affordable and easy-to-consume food products made with due consideration of the needs of patients with certain categories of diseases can hardly be found on the domestic market. The products present on the domestic market are all imported, available in a limited assortment, very expensive, and not customised to suit all the specific needs of human metabolism. Approaches to the nutrition of patients with certain types of nutrition-dependent and non-infectious diseases have been analysed. It has been established that аn effective component in the diet of patients with non-infectious diseases can be plant-based milk analogues. It has been determined how important it is to use domestic raw materials: it will contribute to expanding domestic production, will help the gross domestic product growth, and will reduce the product’s costs, thus reducing the costs of diagnostic and treatment procedures. It has been established that the assortment of plant-based milk analogues is constantly expanding. The vegetable raw material conventionally used to make this product group has been analysed. It has been shown that fenugreek seeds can be most effectively used to make special food products (in particular, plant-based milk analogues) for the nutritional support of patients with non-infectious diseases. This is feasible due to the availability of the raw material, simple cultivating conditions, the chemical composition of the product (e. g. a wide range of biologically active substances), low costs of the product when it is made from domestic raw materials, and the simple production technology. It is expected that manufacture of milk analogues from fenugreek seeds will widen the assortment of this product group, and satisfy the target consumers’ needs of safe and high quality products that offer an alternative to imports.

Purpose. Improving the efficiency of leaching of metals from ore raw materials by justifying the parameters of underground mining and the introduction of integrated technology in combination with geotechnology, ensuring the rational use, protection of the subsurface and the environment during the development of reserves by combined geotechnological methods. Metology. The methods of generalization, analysis and evaluation of practical experience and scientific achievements in the field of geotechnology, theory and practice of explosive destruction of solid media, continuum mechanics, mathematical statistics, as well as research techniques of wave processes according to standard and new techniques of the leading experts of the world's advanced mining countries are described. Findings. The factors determining the leaching efficiency of metal ores, environmental and seismic safety are established and the parameters of the explosion are justified taking into account the size of an average linear piece of exploded ore mass, the area of an emanating surface and the seismic safety of protected objects (industrial buildings, residential buildings, the Ingul river underflow, Kropivnitsky, etc.). Originality. Recommended empirical dependence for the prediction of the oscillation speed on the reduced mass of charge per deceleration step in the explosive preparation of ore for underground leaching of metals for the field conditions of the form y = a ∙ b also the value of the permissible displacement rate of the soil at the base of the protected objects = 0.4 cm / s. Practical value. When non-conforming ores of deposits are involved in the production, their raw material base at operating mines can be increased 1.4–1.6 times. The aim of the research is to analyze the raw material inventory and design a dashboard system that can help achieve company goals. The research method used is the method of analysis of stash, software design methods, and methods of software testing. The design analysis method used is the SWOT analysis, the design method used is the design concept using UML diagrams, the soft test method uses the Black Box concept. The results achieved are a dashboard system used by the Warehouse Section and Production Section to monitor raw material inventories and production performance. The conclusion of this study is that the dashboard application that has been made can help the Warehouse and Production Section to monitor raw material inventory and production performance in real time. This web application provides information easily, quickly, concisely and interactively which includes raw materials for shoe components, office equipment, production tools and general equipment, inventory planning, recommendations and reports on transactions and raw material requests. Potential and opportunities for cassava development are still very broad along with development of companies in livestock, processed food, and other industries. Added value of cassava commodities resulting from development of downstream industries (processed products) is far higher than upstream industries (primary products), so that development paradigm in agriculture sector in future should be directed towards product expansion including its waste. This study aims to examine the economic value of cassava as a future crop from direct as well as by-products and their development strategies. Data was collected from small-scale tapioca flour farmers, ranchers and entrepreneurs. SWOT analysis was used to determine relevant development strategies. Analysis shows that cassava has an potential, especially as a raw material for food and feed industry. In short term, developing cassava strategy as an industrial raw material is to use new technologies i.e. varieties and cultivation techniques for planting arrangements. Cassava potential economic value is relatively high in terms of farming aspects, food raw materials, feed and industry. This potential, apart from main product, is also by-product that has been neglected at 29.7% of cassava main value. By-products potensial has not been used optimally and a bioeconomic value of biomass that can support integrated agriculture in the future.

The search problem is a problem that is commonly applied to systems based on the concept of Artificial Intelligence. One of the well-known heuristic search methods in Artificial Intelligence terminology is Generate and Test. In general, there are no companies operating without raw materials, raw materials in PT. DSI is a type of main and supporting raw material. Refined sugar production at PT. DSI Banten has been experiencing fluctuations in the output of production every day, the data in April 2014 showed from 1-7 consecutively that is 726, 578, 592, 518, 692, 734, 473 tons (PT. DSI, April 2014 ). The purpose of this study is to implement the heuristic search concept with the Generate and Test Algorithm in the search for a combination of the two raw materials to obtain the highest amount of production / output in the form of refined sugar, from the results of this study obtained a system that is able to find the highest amount of sugar production per cuisine, namely in the form of types of supporting raw materials (Limestone CaO, HCL, NaOH) and types of main raw materials (Raw sugar). After conducting research through the heuristic search concept with the GnT method, from 3 types of supporting raw materials (type 1: supplier from PT. SAP, type 2: supplier from PT. MNA, type 3: supplier from PT. CKT) and 3 types of raw material main (raw sugar 1: import from Australia, raw sugar type 2: import from Vietnam, raw sugar type 3: import from Thailand) found an optimization of the two raw materials with the results of supporting material type "3" and main raw material type " 2 "with the amount of 123 tons per cuisine for refined sugar output, the results obtained are able to increase productivity in the refined sugar processing.

In recent years Ukraine has seen a growth in the consumption of cereal products. Wide demand from the population are rice, buckwheat, oat, corn cereals and derived cereal products, and grain products fast food or ready-to-eat (cereals, extruded cereals, expanded snacks, cereals, etc.). One of the most promising areas of research in the field of healthy nutrition is to develop products that have a multicomponent structure, including main raw materials and various nutrients, including to provide specified properties. The creation of such products is relevant, because due to the multi-component composition is achieved provide thehuman body the important nutrients in required amount. The nutrition of a modern person includes a variety of products, including complex prescription composition, and determines the appearance and development of the direction - "design" of complex multicomponent food products with desired properties In the article, the authors developed the formulations of extruded multicomponent products. In developing the composition for the production of extruded corn products, considerable attention was paid to the nutrient composition of the raw material, its change during processing and balance. A study of the nutritional value of extrudates developed and manufactured in laboratory conditions was carried out. The formulation of extruded cereal products was optimized. To determine the optimal shelf life of the developed extrudates, microbiological studies were carried out and an organoleptic assessment of the quality of the obtained products was carried out.When designing recipes, we used the linear programming method, which allowed us to obtain a product with high nutritional value, the necessary content of biologically active substances and good organoleptic properties. According to the research results, it is recommended that storage period up to 6 months at a temperature of (18 ± 20) оC and relative humidity not more than 75% in polypropylene package.

A computer system was described for comparison of life cycle characteristics of packaging materials. The system allows, at given requirements for packaging materials, to evaluate the complex of properties of packaging materials, to calculate specific and generalized criteria for evaluating packaging materials and to provide the user with the opportunity to choose the most suitable packaging material based on the results. The developed system includes a library of customizable criteria, a database of rules for selecting packages, databases of life cycle stages, packages, packaging materials, and characteristics of packaging materials. The system was tested on the example of comparative analysis of the process of production of raw materials for packages and manufacturing packages, which may include fresh raw materials and recycled resources. Testing results confirmed the computer system operability and possibility of using it for a comprehensive assessment of the life cycle of the production of packaging materials taking into account environmental safety, consumer and economic characteristics.

Relevance. Currently, the environmental situation in many regions of our country leaves much to be desired. It is known that proper nutrition is the foundation of health. Products intended for a healthy diet can only be made from environmentally friendly raw materials. In this regard, the regions of Siberia are of particular interest - they are rich in forests located far from settlements, where it is possible to collect and harvest large quantities of ecologically clean wild-growing raw materials for the production of functional food products.Materials and methods. The authors of the article analyzed the nutritional value and biochemical composition of wild-growing raw materials growing in the southern part of Eastern Siberia (Irkutsk region) on the basis of literature sources. The following raw materials were considered: blueberries (Vaccinium uliginosum), wild garlic: bear onions (Allium ursinum L.), forest mushrooms, pine nut cake and spicy-aromatic herbs – sagan-daila (Rhododendron Adamsii) and thyme (Thymus vulg?ris). Information about their nutritional value and biochemical composition is given. Based on the results of this analysis, a conclusion was made on the promising use of this raw material for the production of functional food products.Results. The article presents the results of scientific research related to the development of functional canned food based on wild-growing raw materials growing in the southern part of Eastern Siberia (Irkutsk region). Formulations of functional sauces have been developed, information on nutritional value and data on the content of the main functional ingredients in canned food are provided.

A marketer should follow the maxim of the 4th century BC strategist Sun-zi, who said “Know self, know opponents, hundred battles, hundred victories.” We are the chemical processing industries (CPI), which is a collection of firms that manufacture and sell a range of products that involve chemistry and employ many chemical engineers. The buyers are consumers, businesses, governments, and foreigners. When we consider selling a product to a buyer, we pay particular attention to profitable and growing markets where our product has a relative advantage over competition. It takes a bold pioneer to introduce a new product that requires the creation of a new market. Let us study the sellers of chemical products, which are collectively called the CPI. These manufacturers are skilled in the use of chemical reactions and separations to make their products, and they employ many chemical engineers and chemists, often in highly responsible positions. Many of the firms in the CPI are also our suppliers of raw materials and intermediates, our customers for our products, and our competition in making and selling their products. The Statistical Abstract of the United States is published annually by the U.S. Census Bureau, which groups all the economic activities in the United States into 11 divisions by the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC). The manufacturing division is divided into 20 sections designated by two-digit numbers. The manufacturers that involve chemistry intensively are listed in table 9.1, by two 2-digit numbers, such as: 20 Food, 28 Chemicals, and 29 Petroleum Refining. The table lists the number of establishments, the number of employees and value of shipment in 1996. The SIC 28, “Chemical and Allied Products,” is the basic supplying industry to the other sectors. Table 9.1 also gives the subdivision of SIC 28 into three-digit subsectors, such as: 281 Industrial Inorganics, 283 Drugs, and 286 Industrial Organics. The subsectors of 281 and 286 form the core of the Chemical and Allied Products, as they provide raw material and intermediates for the rest of the subsectors, such as 282 Plastics and 287 Agricultural chemicals.
