In this study, it was aimed to determine prospective teachers’ opinions related to the ideal school. The case study design, as one of the qualitative research patterns, was used. The study group was 24 prospective teachers attending Ordu University Faculty of Education during 2016-2017 academic year. The participants were determined by using a criterion sampling technique. A semi-structured grid form was used to collect data. Prospective teachers produced 480 valid views for the ideal school. Based on the participants’ views, 15 sub-themes were determined. The findings point out that the structural qualifications, the content and educational purposes are essential for ideal school curriculum. Prospective teachers give priority to personal competence, technical sufficiency and democratic attitudes for ideal school management. The findings also show that value-based communication, solidarity and sustainability are the main characteristics in inter-student communication for ideal school. In addition, it is specified that the teachers should display student-centred attitude, should have professional and personal competences for ideal schools.

This study is aimed to identify emotional intelligence profile of prospective teachers who graduate from faculty of education and teacher training of Raden Intan State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) of Lampung, Indonesia. The studies was conducted by using a combined approach (sequential explanatory mixed (MEQI) and analyzed by using descriptive statistics calculated by using SPSS 20.0 Software. The second phase used a qualitative approach (multi-case single-site case study design), involved nine prospective teachers. Data was collected through in-depth interviews (depth interview) and analyzed with software NVivo 10. The results of this study at first phase showed that 25 prospective teachers (10%) have very low EQ index (< 40), 125 prospective teachers (50%) had an index low EQ (41-60), 75 prospective teachers (30%) had moderate EQ index (61-80) and 25 prospective teachers (10%) have higher EQ Index (81-100). Meanwhile, the results of the second phase of the study found that the prospective teachers stated that EQ is a very method designs) through two phases. The first phase used a quantitative approach (cross-sectional) which involved 250 prospective teachers. The data was collected by using Malaysian emotional intelligence inventory important factor in the profession and increase their professionalism. Results of this study dealt in depth with various acquired earlier studies.

Learning model which was used by the teacher did not increase students’s activity in finding physicsconcepts. Learning material was conventional and then ICT utilization was not optimal. All problems abovecaused the students’s score could not achieve standar score. Discovery learning model of ICT material assisted isthe appropriate model which can solve the research’s problems. The purpose of this research is to find out theeffect of discovery learning model of ICT assisted toward the students’s achievement in physics competency atgrade X MIA SMAN 9 Padang. The research uses Pre-experimental which one shot case study design. Thepopulation of this research was students at grade X MIA of SMAN 9 Padang in 2016/2017 academic year. Thesample was choosen by using purposive sampling technique. The instrumentation of this research wereobservation sheet and test observation sheets were used to measure attitude competency, knowledge competencyand skill competency. The analysis data of this research esed regression linear test for knowledge competency,attitude and skill competency used graphic. The result of this research were: 1) sthe students’s attitudecompetency was constant caused it becomes culture of studentsself, 2) there were relationship between discoverylearning model of ICT material assisted and students’s knowledge competency with 90,25 %on significancylevel 0,05 where robserved > rtabel, and 3) the students’s skill competency increased in each practice.

Purpose The aim of quality assessment is to support the development of learners’ competencies as required in 21st century economies. This paper aims to analyse the role and understanding of heads of department (HoDs) regarding quality assessment and the moderation of school-based assessment (SBA) tasks in tourism, which is a subject in the secondary school curriculum. Design/methodology/approach To elicit valid findings in this interpretative study, focus group discussions were conducted with 16 participants. The HoDs who participated in this study were purposively sampled based on their role as managers of tourism in their respective schools. Findings Informed by the context, input, process and output theoretical model, this study identified various elements that impacted the enactment of HoDs’ role in the moderation of SBA tasks, with particular reference to tourism. Despite these HoDs’ understanding of the importance of moderation as a key aspect in assuring quality assessment practices, it was found that the moderation of tourism SBA tasks was generally not conducted meticulously and appropriately. Research limitations/implications The qualitative case study on which this paper is based used a limited sample within a restricted timeframe and the results may thus not be generalised. However, the methodology produced trustworthy results and may thus be replicated and extended to other subjects with a practical component for enhanced insights into SBA practices. Practical implications This paper highlights the necessity for schools to rely on knowledgeable and principled curriculum leaders, particularly HoDs, for the effective management of assessment and moderation strategies to ensure quality outcomes. The qualitative case study on which this paper is based used a limited sample within a restricted timeframe, and the results may thus not be generalised. However, the methodology produced trustworthy results and may thus be replicated and extended to other subjects with a practical component for enhanced insights into SBA practices. Originality/value This paper contributes to the discourse on quality assurance and SBA, with particular focus on how quality assessment can be enhanced in the moderation process of tourism. The insights that this paper share may contribute to improved policy decisions regarding the SBA process in tourism.

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between prospective teachers’ attitudes towards uncertainty and their motivation in teaching. The research was conducted with a correlational model. In this study, exploratory and predictive correlation techniques were used. The study group was comprised of 396 fourth grade students studying at the Inonu University Faculty of Education in the academic year of 2015–2016. A simple linear regression analysis and Pearson Product Moment analysis were conducted on the obtained data. A moderate negative and significant relationship was found between prospective teachers’ attitudes towards uncertainty and their motivation in teaching, and the attitude towards to uncertainty was observed to be a significant predictor of motivation in teaching. In addition to this, a moderate negative significant relationship was found between prospective teachers’ attitudes towards uncertainty and their intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and the attitudes towards to uncertainty was observed to be a significant predictor of the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.

This study aimed to determine whether there was a correlation between the level of students’ understanding of SBM (School Based Management) and students’ attitudes towards SBM in the Department of Educational Administration, Faculty of Education, Makassar State University. This research was a correlational research. The total population was 180 students and 42 of them were selected as samples taken through purposive random sampling technique. The research data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between students' understanding and their attitudes towards SBM. It can be concluded that the higher the level of students’ understanding of School Based Management, the more positive their attitude towards School Based Management.

The purpose of this study is to examine classroom management skills of education faculty students. This study is a qualitative one designed as a case study. The study took place in classroom management courses at a faculty of education of one of the state universities in Turkey in the academic year of 2020-2021. The participants were identified through purposive sampling method. 3rd grade education faculty students taking the classroom management course were selected as participants. The application took nearly three months. The data were collected through a rubric developed by the researcher, field notes and participant feedbacks. The data were analyzed through content analysis. the data from the observation notes and participant feedback interviews were coded and the results, including the results from the scoring of the rubric, are presented with frequencies and percentages. The results showed that education faculty students have difficulty especially about introduction to lessons, using the space in the classroom and some issues concerning communication skills like speaking, speaking in public, intonation, breath and voice control. Beside these the students performed between poor and average about motivating and engaging students, making eye contact, using body language, interacting and establishing effective communication with the class and providing feedback. They also had difficulty with using the time efficiently.

The purpose of this study was to see the level of student confidence in micro teaching learning for students of Physical Education Health and Recreation, Univeritas Islam Riau. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study were all students of Physical Education for Health and Recreation Semester VI of the 2019/2020 Academic Year who had completed the micro teaching course which received 211 people. The research sampling technique used total sampling. The research was conducted by applying a questionnaire to students. Based on the results of the research analysis, the findings obtained were 34.59% of self-competence results in the "sufficient" category and 35.07% of micro teaching skills in the "sufficient" category. This proves that Health and Recreation Physical Education students must be able to hone their ability to practice speaking skills so that they can become more competent prospective teachers in their fields.

This study is motivated by the student low readiness and learning mastery in Chemistry class. It is aimed at investigating the student readiness in oxidation-reduction (redox) reaction class. This study used a descriptive case study. As many as 27 students of MAN II Filial Pontianak of Academic Year 2017/2018, selected by purposive sampling technique, participated in this study. The data collection tools were observation, questionnaire, and interview. The average result of this study indicated that student readiness in learning was good (61,97%), especially in physical category by 100% (outstanding), in mental category by 33,33% (fair), in emotional category by 95,06% (outstanding), in necessity category by 62,96 (good ), and in mastery category by 18,52% (poor). Additionally, the result of the questionnaire showed that readiness in learning was 75,86% (very good), particularly in physical category by 81,48% (Excellent), in mental category by 71,60% (very good), in emotional category by 71,24% (very good), in necessity category by 71,29 (very good ), and in mastery category by 77,16% (very good). Therefore, teachers are expected to educate the students about the importance of reading in learning. Also, school is encouraged to enhance the quality of the facilities in learning

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran demostrasi berbasis trainer kelistrikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TKR di SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 32 orang kelas XI TKR 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen mendapatkan perlakuan pembelajaran metode demonstrasi berbasis trainer kelistrikan. Setelah perlakuan siswa diberikan tes hasil belajar yang telah teruji validitas isi, validitas butir, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda dan reliabilitasnya. Data hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan tes objektif, selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi berbasis trainer kelistrikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sistem pengisian di kelas XI TKR 2 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja. Hal ini ditunjukkan hasil uji  5. dk = n -1 = 31 dan taraf signifikan 5% didapat  2,04. Jadi, thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yakni 5 > 2,04. Berarti  ditolak dah  diterima ini berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi berbasis trainer kelistrikan terhadap hasil belajar sistem pengisian siswa kelas XI TKR2 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja. Kata Kunci : Hasil belajar, Metode demostrasi, One-shot case study, Trainer kelistrikan AbstrackThis study aims to determine the effect of the application of learning methods based on electrical trainer demonstration of student learning outcomes class XI TKR in SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja academic year 2016/2017. This research is a pre-experiment research with one-shot case study design. Determination of the sample in this study using random sampling technique. The sample of this research as much as 32 people class XI TKR 2 as experimental class to get treatment of demonstration method based on electrical trainer. After the treatment the students are given test results that have been tested the validity of the validity of the content, the validity of the grain, the level of difficulty, differentiation and reliability. Student learning result data was collected using objective test, then collected data was analyzed using t-test. The result of the research shows that there is a significant influence of experimental methods based on electrical trainer on student learning outcomes in the subjects of filling system in class XI TKR 2 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja. It shows the result of tcount = 5 = dk = n -1 = 31 and 5% significant level is obtained ttable = 2.04. Thus, tcount is greater than the ttable ie 5> 2.04. Means H0 rejected dah H1 accepted this means there is a significant influence of learning methods based on electrical trainer demonstration of student learning outcomes system class XI TKR2 SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja.Keywords: Learning outcomes, Demonstration methods, One-shot case study, Electrical trainer

The aim of this study is to investigate prospective teachers' environmental education self-efficacy in terms of various variables. Survey method was applied in the study, and the data were collected in the 2015-2016 academic year. The study group of the paper consisted of 172 prospective teachers from each grade level who are studying in Social Studies Department, Faculty of Education, Afyon Kocatepe University. The data of the study were collected with the environmental education self-efficacy scale developed by Özdemir, Aydın and Akar-Vural. (2009). The 5-point Likert scale consisted of 15 items and had four sub-dimensions. As a result of the analyses, it was concluded that prospective teachers' self-efficacy perceptions of environmental education were moderate and prospective teachers' self-efficacy perception levels did not show a significant difference according to gender and grade level variables.
