Abstract The elaborated principles of nanoengineering of linen textile materials implement the techniques of spatially localized effects of protein catalysts on polymeric cellulose companions with selective splitting of impurity compounds without damaging technologically necessary nano-sized formations of binders in the fiber structure. The ranges of optimal values of the residual content in flax fiber prepared for spinning are identified on the basis of the analysis of the successive stages of enzymatic and peroxide treatments contribution to the breakdown of polymers and the differentiation of the influence of impurities on the yarn technological properties. The recommended level of residual pectin, lignin and hemicellulose (wt. %) is: after enzymatic treatment P1 = 1,0±0,1; L1 = 3,9±0,3; Hc1 = 11,0±1,0; after peroxide bleaching P2 = 0,4±0,05; L2 = 2,3±0,3; Hc2 = 7,5±0,5. The required level of fiber structural modification at the stage of preparing roving for spinning can be achieved through use of protein catalysts whose globule size is 50...100 nm. The use of enzymes with these dimensional characteristics helps to ensure breaking of polymer adhesives on the surface of incrusts and in the areas of intercellular formations, which hinder fiber crushing, without damaging nano-sized binding fractions. The implementation of this method contributes to a significant improvement in the uniformity of structural and physical and mechanical properties of flax yarn. Increase in yarn fineness and strength properties of semi-finished products, as well as improvement of deformation properties and reduction of yarn breakages during the spinning processes are achieved.

Evaluation of the nano sizes of hydrosols from homogeneous cellulosic and industrial products was made using dynamic light scattering method. The influence of the size of the globule of protein catalysts and the duration of their action on the roving of carded flax fiber was compared. The correlation between the change in the equilibrium absorption of sorption marker (methylene blue) and residual content in the fiber of hemicelluloses was monitored. On the basis of a comparative analysis of the efficiency of biocatalysts in industrial homogeneous and cellulosic preparations it was revealed that globule size influences on the efficiency of sorption properties of flax fibers. The use of homogeneous enzymes with differing sized parameters has allowed isolating the contribution of the target enzymatic modification as in the microfibrillar structure of elementary fibers and for modification the hemicelluloses in the binding substance fixing the elementary fibers in the bast bundles (the linen fibrous complexes). The principles of selection of biocatalysts to increase sorption capacity in flax fiber sorbents were revealed. It was found that the sorption capacity of flax fiber sorbents increases due to the development of mezopore space in elementary fibres and regulable amorphization of interfiber binders in the structure of the linen complex. The research revealed that the the amorphization of flax fiber took place only when the cellulases was used. The size of their globules enables the penetration of these enzymes into mesopores of elementary flax fibres. It was established experimentally that the presence of large isoforms of cellulases or hemicellulases can promote as the development of the internal volume into the fibre binders and also conservation the permissible level of reduction of the hemicelluloses amount in flax fibres is not less than 10 mass.%.Forcitation:Aleeva S.V., Lepilova O.V., Kurzanova P.Yu., Koksharov S.A. The sharply continental climate of the Irkutsk region is characterized by wide temperature intervals throughout the year. The repeated cyclicity of freezing and thawing of building materials in the water-saturated state influences the change in technical characteristics and the durability of concrete products and structures. The concrete products’ features in such climatic conditions create the need for the production of concretes with improved indicators of physical and mechanical properties. The effect of modifying additives on the technological characteristics of sulfur concrete is established. The effect of all elements of sulfur concrete on its strength and frost resistance. The composition of sulfuric concrete is obtained, which meets all the requirements and also has high strength and increased frost resistance. Formulations with a certain ratio of structural sulfuric concrete mixtures were developed. As a result of the use of technical sulfur in the composition of concrete products, the problem of utilizing annually accumulating reserves of technical sulfur is partially solved. The strength properties of sulfuric concretes easily compete with high-quality brands of concrete, special types of concretes that have in their composition additives.

This article presents studies of fire resistance in the treatment of expanded vermiculite, which depends on the size of the dispersed particles and the orientation of the granules, their moisture and temperature. It has been studied that one of the interesting and important in practice properties of vermiculite is its ability to swell and turn into a lightweight effective material for imparting fire resistance. The properties and compositions of vermiculite from the Tebinbulak deposit are studied, from which a flame-retardant suspension is prepared for processing textile materials based on vermiculite dissolved in orthophosphoric acid and alkali in an aqueous medium. When modifying materials with developed flame-retardant suspensions, it is possible to obtain fire-resistant textile materials that meet the requirements of GOST for fire resistance, smoke generation and other physical and mechanical properties.

The results of laboratory tests carried out on rock samples of the Kharbalakhskoye coalfield located in Central Yakutia revealed significant secondary changes having taken place in the host rocks containing the coal. Evidently, under transformation processes, it is not only the composition of the rocks that had changed, but also the nature of structural bonds that have a great influence on their physical and mechanical properties. Thus, the ultimate strength values of coal-containing sandstone and siltstone samples under uniaxial compression vary from 20 to 30 MPa, while under uniaxial tension, the ultimate strength values range from 6 to 10 MPa. These relatively low numerical values pertaining to the physicomechanical properties of rocks, which are generally atypical for long-flame coal deposits, are almost 50% lower than those of analogous rocks hosting other coal deposits in Russia. It is considered that the mechanical strength properties of the rocks of the Kharbalakhskoye field are due to significant cryogenic processes. A comparative analysis of the properties of core samples obtained from boreholes drilled in 2019 with samples from a quarry obtained several decades ago reveals signs of transformation of rocks in the Kharbalakhskoye field due to phase transitions of freezing and thawing water.

This paper presents the results of experimental studies of the physical and mechanical properties of wood-fiber boards of the wet production method when regulating the design and technological parameters of the grinding process. This allowed us to determine the influence of the working clearance between the grinding discs and the concentration of fibre mass with the subject to of quality change wood fiber after defibrator using the developed construction of the disc fibrillation action on the physico-mechanical properties of boards. As a result of the experiment, regression models were obtained that adequately describe the studied grinding process and allow predicting the values of physical and mechanical properties of the finished product depending on the established  parameters process. A comparative analysis of the size and quality characteristics of the fiber semi-finished product and its fractional composition when using a developed construction the disc of refiner fibrillation action and a traditional design used in industry is carried out. The preferential efficiency of the grinding process under the fibrillating effect the disc of refiner in comparison with the traditional construction disc of refiner is established. As a result, there is a significant improvement in the quality indicators of the fiber semi-finished product and its composition due to the formation and predominance in the total mass of long and thin, respectively, flexible fibrillated fibers with high tile-forming properties, which allows to increase the strength properties of the product (by 20–25%), without using binding resins.

Studies of experimental adhesion modifiers based on a mixture of fatty acids from the production of light vegetable oils. The properties of rubber compounds and their vulcanizates obtained using experimental adhesion promoters KK with cobalt content from 7.5 to 16.5% are investigated. The plastic-elastic and vulcanization properties of the properties of breaker rubber compounds based on polyisoprene, the physical and mechanical properties of breaker rubbers and the bond strength in the “rubber-brass-plated steel cord system” were studied. When testing belt rubbers containing experienced adhesion promoters or an imported analog of Manobond 680C, the following features were revealed. The plasticity of the prototypes was in the range of 0.2-0.4. This indicates satisfactory processing properties. The Mooney viscosity of the prototypes was lower than that of the production sample. The use of experienced adhesion promoters instead of the analogue (Manobond 680C) increases the resistance to scorching. On the basis of the analysis of elastic-strength properties, it was found that in terms of the conditional tensile strength, the prototypes were inferior to the serial ones. However, rubbers containing the KK-12, KK-13.5, KK-15 promoters met the control standards. The tensile elongation at break of the experimental rubbers is higher than that of the serial sample. This may indicate the formation of a more uniform cure network in the presence of the test products. When testing rubber-metal-hard composites, it was noted that, under normal conditions, the experienced adhesion promoters have advantages over Manobond 680C. However, at elevated temperatures, under conditions of salt and steam-air aging, they are slightly inferior to Manobond 680C. It has been established that the experimental adhesion promoters provide the required set of technical properties of belt rubbers with a CO2 + content of 12–16.5% wt. Thus, it is possible to recommend the adhesion promoters KK 12, KK-13.5, KK 15 for practical use in the composition of belt rubber compounds. This will allow replacing a foreign-made product and reducing the cost of production.

The present paper considers the study of creep and deformation properties of sulfur-containing arbolit exposed to various compression stresses. Investigating the creep of lightweight arbolit concretes greatly affecting the performance of bearing and envelope structures draws a special attention during the last years. This issue is of particular relevance in the regions with hot and sharp continental climate. Arbolit concrete is one of the lightest building materials with low thermal conductivity and good soundproof properties. The modern postulates of theory and practice of creation, development of high-strength arbolit concretes on the base of composite sulfur-containing binders have become the methodological framework of the present research. While carrying out scientific research, the following standard measuring and analysis methods of physical and mechanical properties have been used for sulfur-containing arbolit composites. Experimental tests have been implemented on the 28-days samples made of sulfur-containing arbolit, with the cotton plant footstalks as an organic component. The researched samples were vapor sealed with the purpose to eliminate overlapping the processes of contraction and creep. The experimental results have shown that the analysis of prisms deformation in time demonstrates certain derivation from the pattern. Deformation of prisms made of sulfur-containing arbolit loaded at the low stress level were growing at a slower rate that the same deformations at a higher stress level. No derivation has been observed for the prisms of sulfur-containing haydite concrete. For both types of concrete, creep deformation has reached the values exceeding completely recoverable deformation by a factor of 2 or all the samples, the rapid growth of creep deformation has been observed after loading, followed by the gradual slowdown of deformation growth. For sulfur-containing lightweight concretes, as the test shown, the rate of creep deformation growth depends on the hardening curve in time reflecting the process of concrete hardening. This, if compared with sulfur-containing lightweight concretes, creep of sulfur-containing arbolit concrete is significantly lower that eventually leads to the loss of creep deformation at the same stress level. The obtained results can be used when manufacturing an efficient wall material for residential construction, including seismic areas.

The article presents an experimental study of mechanical properties of cellulose biofilm produced by bacterial fermentation process. Naturally derived biomaterial has great current and potential applications therefore the conditions of material preparation as well as control and prediction of mechanical properties is still a relevant issue. Bacterial cellulose was obtained as a secondary product from Kombucha drink. Presented technique for material preparation and drying is particularly simple and easy to access. The influence of drying temperature (25 °C, 50 °C and 75 °C) on the sample size (thickness and planar dimensions) and mechanical properties (tensile and bursting strength) of cellulose biofilm has been evaluated. It was estimated that during drying biofilm specimens lost up to 92 % of weight and up to 87 % of thickness therefore planar specimen dimensions varied insignificantly. The study showed that the drying temperature is important for optimum strength properties of bacterial cellulose biofilm. The maximum tensile strength (27.91 MPa) was recorded for the samples dried at temperature of 25 °C, when the moisture from the biomaterial is removed gradually and good deformation properties are ensured (respectively tensile extension 18.8 %). Under higher drying temperature biomaterial shows lower values of tensile strength and higher values of bursting strength. The maximum bursting strength (57.2 MPa) was recorded for samples dried at 75 °C when punch displacement changes were insignificant for all tested samples (from 17.8 mm to 21.7 mm).
