To deal with prolonged labor, the UK has introduced active birth techniques. Hypnobirthing is one of the active birth methods that can be used during the first stage of labor. This research purposes to study the effect of the application of the active birth technique using hypnobirthing on the progress of the first stage of labor in the mother. Methods: This type of research was quasi experimental with the post-test only design approach. This research was conducted from 15 May to 18 August 2020, in 4 independent practice midwives (BPM) Padang City in 2020. Data were collected through observation sheets using non-probability sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling with a total sample of 15 samples. Data were collected using observation sheets. Data were analysed using univariate and bivariate analysis using the dependent T-test.Results: The results showed that the mean labor progress using hypnobirthing was 3.67 and SD±1.49 with a minimum value of 1 and a maximum of 6. Based on the statistical test, the p value was 0.000 (p<0.05).Conclusions: There is the effect of the application of active birth techniques using hypnobirthing on the progress of stage I labor in maternal labor.

GIVING Turmeric Ointment MAY REDUCE STRIAE GRAVIDARUM IN THE PUPERATIVE MOTHER Background:Striaegravidarum is a sign or stretch that occurs on the skin of 50% to 90% of women during the second half of pregnancy. Nearly half of women experience stretching of the skin, especially in the abdomen, as a result of increasing gestational age.The presence of striae gravidarum causes a lack of self-confidence in the post-partum mother, so this makes the postpartum mother have to undergo medication and even surgery to restore her skin to the state before she was pregnant. The purpose: of this study was to determine the effect of turmeric ointment in reducing Striaegravidarum in postpartum mothers at the Hj. DewiSesmeraS.Tr.Keb Aluminum IV TanjungMulia Medan in 2020.Methods: This study used a Quasy Experiment Design (Quasi-Experimental Design) using a One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The population and sample in this study were all postpartum mothers with 15 people. This study used Porposive sampling technique with univariate and bivariate analysis with T Test. Results: the research obtained from data analysis with the Wilcoxon test showed that post-partum mothers could conclude pre-test and post-test giving turmeric ointment. The results in the table show that the P-Value (0.001) <α 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of pre-test and post-test on the administration of turmeric ointment in reducing striaegravidarum. Conclusion: This study shows that there is an effect of turmeric ointment in reducing striaegravidarum. Suggestions for the clinic mother Hj. Dewi Sesmera so that mothers can advise postpartum mothers to make their own products with ingredients derived from traditional turmeric in reducing striaegravivarum. Keywords: Key words: Turmeric ointment, Striae gravidarum, postpartum mother

AbstractThis research attempted to identify the effect of music therapy on hemodynamic status of coma patients. The design used was a quasi experimental one group pre-post test design with a consecutive sampling method. Twenty one samples in the ICU of a hospital in Lampung were participated in the study. The descriptive analysis showed decreasing mean of MAP (6,80 mmHg), heart rate (6,76 bpm), and respiration rate (4,08 bpm) after music therapy. The bivariate analysis using the dependent t test showed a significant relationship of music therapy to MAP (p value = 0,031), heart rate (p value = 0,015) and respiration rate (p value = 0,000). Decreasing the hemodynamic indicators to coma patients with stroke and severe head injury could help to stabilize their hemodynamic balance and to promote faster recovery.
