Introduction: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Basic Life Support (BLS) is the initial action to save life-saving conditions. BLS is one of the most important components in CPR. BLS greatly determines the fate of the next life-threatening victim. This study aimed to know the relationship of understanding CPR to readiness to do BLS for students of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.Methods: This was non-experimental study using the design of analytic and descriptive statistics. The sample of this study was the students of Faculty of Medicine, class of 2015, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya and was taken by probability sampling method with a simple random sampling technique. Data retrieval was performed by giving a questionnaire to 100 respondents. This study was conducted in February 2019. The results of this study were then analyzed by SPSS using the Spearman test.Results: The results of this study showed that the most level of understanding CPR was in the good category with 56 people (56%), while the readiness to do BLS was mostly in the moderate category with 55 people (55%). Based on the results of statistical tests using the Spearman test, there was a relationship between the level of understanding CPR and the readiness to do BLS for students of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.Conclusion: There was relationship between the level of understanding CPR and the readiness to do BLS for students of Faculty Medicine, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.

Background: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a technique of the basic life support, which helps to maintain blood circulation in the victim's brain and heart during cardiac arrest or during the absence of pulse and breath. Adults are more active and long-time information delivers, but non-medical people are not having the knowledge regarding emergencies managements, hence this study was conducted to assess the knowledge and check the effectiveness of STP regarding CPR among Undergraduate students.Methods: Quantitative approach with Quasi-Experimental research design was used in the present study with Simple random sampling technique to select 61 undergraduate students at Himalayan School Of Management, Jollygrant, Dehradun. Structured knowledge questionnaire was used to collect the data and followed by administrating the structured teaching programme (STP).Results: Findings of the present study showed that the mean post test score (25.80±3.0) was higher than pre-test mean score (13.18±3.3). Arbitrary score reviled that, in pre-test majority of the (undergraduate) UG students had (60.65%) Average knowledge, most of the UG students had (36.06%) poor knowledge, only (3.27%) had the good level of knowledge. Where in post-test, maximum students had very good knowledge (62.92%), most UG students had 36.06% good knowledge and only 1.63% had average knowledge which showed that the knowledge had increased after administration of (STP), Calculated t value was 19.327 and found highly significant at p<0.001.Conclusions: The findings of the study revealed that STP was an effective method to enhance the knowledge of undergraduate students regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation. So the study concluded that structured teaching program had a great potential for improving the knowledge of undergraduate students.

Knowledge and attitudes are the result of out through a specific sensing of objects and social interaction so that the formation of a person's actions. Basic Life Support was given an early intervention in the treatment of patients in cardiac arrest (cardiac arrest). Goal : This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge with attitude of health workers on basic life support in Puskemas Pancur Stone Deli Serdang. Methods: The method used is descriptive analytic research with cross sectional approach. Samples numbered 32 with a sampling technique is total sampling. Measuring instrument used in this study a questionnaire. Result : The results of statistical tests chi-square test, p value = 0.014 was obtained. P value <0.05, it indicates there is a relationship of knowledge with the attitude of health workers in health centers BLS Pancur Stone. Conclusion : Expected to health workers in health centers Pancur stone to further improve and understand basic life support and can take action BLS in the treatment of patients who suffered sudden cardiac arrest, so handled quickly and accurately, as well as a training / seminar on basic life support on a regular basis.

Background and Study Aim: The main purpose behind the study was to establish the challenges in relation to the acquisition of life skills among university student-athletes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The study assessed the extent to which the concern existing resources, facilitators, and trainer attitude influences life skills acquisition among student-athletes. Material and Methods: Descriptive survey research design was followed to obtain desirable results. The target population of this study consisted of all those who participated in different sport at the university level of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan. Amongst them, we selected a representative sample (n=389 fifty 50% of the total population) with the help of a simple random sampling technique. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version, 24 was used to code and analyse the data. The hypotheses were tested by applying statistical tests like Step-wise regression and independents sample t-test. The significance level of 0.05 was fixed to accept or reject the set hypotheses. Results: Findings of the study indicated that existing resources, facilitators, and trainer/coach attitude significantly influences life skills acquisition among student-athletes (.001, .001 & .000 < .05). The analysed data revealed no significantly difference regarding extent to which specific challenges such as existing resources, facilitators, and trainer attitude influences the acquisition of life skills (.500, .133 & .149 > .05). Conclusions: The findings of the study revealed that all participants have agreed upon the importance of life skills. Therefore, the life skills course might be considered as an integral part of every educational curriculum of Pakistan. It is suggested that a minimum of 2 hours per week may be included in the educational curriculum of each discipline.

    The result of observation shows that the students' understanding of physics science subject is still low. Many teachers still use conventional methods. Students just listen and take notes. Therefore, the use of appropriate and varied learning models is expected to help students in understanding a concept. One alternative of physics learning that can help students understand the concept is through pictorial riddle learning method. This pictorial riddle learning method uses a riddle of drawings on a whiteboard, poster or projected from a transparency then the teacher asks questions relating to the riddle. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the influence of pictorial riddle learning method on the understanding of physics concepts class IX students semester 1 SMP Negeri 2 Painan 2015/2016 academic year. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. The research population is all students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Painan. The sample used is class IX-2 as experiment class and IX-3 as control class. The variable in this research is the students' concept understanding on the magnetism materials, with the experimental control group design pre test post test. Data retrieval is done through the test in the form of free description and analyzed using simple regression analysis, coefficient of determination and test of significance in microsoft excel. The results of data analysis showed the relationship between variables expressed in a simple regression equation Y = 51.99 + 0.4286. The value of correlation coefficient 0,5787 with enough criterion (0,5 <r <0,8) value 0,3348 and coefficient of determination equal to 33,5% and> (3,175> 2,015) at significance level 5%, which mean study pictorial Riddle method effect of 33.5% on the understanding of student physics concepts. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive influence and quite significant method of learning pictorial riddle on the understanding of students' concepts on magnetism materials.

Lately there has been attention to work dissatisfaction and declining quality. Most people find it difficult to motivate themselves, therefore it is not surprising that motivating others is a difficult and complicated task. Motivation indicates the process of movement, including the encouraging situation that arises within the individual, the behavior caused by the situation and the purpose or end of the movement or action. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of nurse characteristics with work motivation in Wamena Hospital inpatient room. This type of research is quantitative with an observational approach. The population is the entire nursing plant in Wamena Hospital with 186 people. Large samples were taken as many as 64 respondents. Sampling techniques used in this study is a simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study it is known that there is a meaningful relationship between age, working period and position with work motivation. While there are several factors that are not related to work motivation, namely gender, education and marital status. The statistical test used is path analysis. Statistical tests can be concluded that there is a meaningful relationship to variables as follows: the characteristics of nurses that affect work motivation are age, years of service and position, while the characteristics of gender, education and marital status do not have a significant relationship with work motivation. Based on the results of the study is expected to improve the ability and insight of nursing and motivation of work so that their productivity does not decrease. For example, give remuneration, promotion and periodic reward for outstanding nurses will encourage the motivation of nurse work to develop.

ABSTRACTBackground: Cardiac arrest is a health problem that is increasing to be the leading cause of death in the world. The main action to save cardiac arrest aims to maintain optimal myocardial and cerebral oxygenation so that death does not occur. Providing Basic Life Support (BLS) is an effort to save and restore this function. Knowledge about cardiac arrest among health students is still a neglected problem due to a lack of awareness in seeking basic knowledge.Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of basic life support-based simulation training on knowledge of nursing students in the city of Bengkulu.Methods: This study used a pre-experimental design with a pre-test post-test approach. The population in this study were all 61 students of the fourth semester of STIKES Tri Mandiri Sakti Bengkulu nursing students. Samples were taken using total sampling technique. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire containing 10 question items which were adopted from the questionnaire Yunanto et al., (2017). Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test.Result: Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant effect of BLS training based on manikin simulation on nursing student knowledge with a value of t test = -15.169, p = value = 0.000 <α = 0.05.Conclusion: Nursing students need to provide knowledge about BLS from the start so that they are more confident and able to apply it in case of cardiac arrest outside the hospital. Higher education institutions should provide health education about BLS from the beginning of the academic year, so that in the following semester students are better able to improve the quality of the skills they have formed.Keywords: Basic Life Support, Knowledge, Simulation.

<p><em>Cardiac arrest is a significant cause of death worldwide, and an estimated 17.9 million people die from heart disease. In 2016, cardiac arrest represented 31% of all global deaths, and heart attacks and strokes caused 85%. In the treatment of cardiac arrest, health providers must perform cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation, a combination of chest compressions, and assistance for the victim's breathing. Nurses must be able to provide high-quality CPR to the patients for optimal outcomes. This study aimed to describe the knowledge of nurses in six private hospitals in Indonesia about high-quality CPR. This research was quantitative descriptive using a modified questionnaire regarding the theory of high-quality CPR. The population in this study were nurses from adult inpatient wards at six private hospitals in Indonesia with a total sample of 86 respondents through convenience sampling technique. The results showed that 79.1% inpatient nurses at six hospitals in Indonesia had good knowledge about high-quality CPR. Nurses are expected to maintain and improve their knowledge and ability to provide high-quality CPR so that the basic life support provided will be of high quality and provide optimal results for cardiac arrest patients in hospitals.</em><strong><br /><br />BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Henti jantung merupakan penyebab kematian yang signifikan di dunia dan diperkirakan 17,9 juta orang meninggal karena penyakit jantung. Pada 2016, henti jantung mewakili 31% dari semua kematian global, dan 85% disebabkan oleh serangan jantung dan stroke. Dalam penanganan henti jantung, perawat harus melakukan resusitasi jantung dan paru yaitu kombinasi dari kompresi dada dan bantuan terhadap pernafasan korban. Tenaga kesehatan harus mampu memberikan<em> high-quality</em> CPR kepada korban untuk hasil yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan perawat tentang high-quality CPR di enam rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner mengenai teori <em>high-quality</em> CPR yang telah dimodifikasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perawat ruang rawat inap dewasa di enam rumah sakit swasta di Indonesia dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 86 responden melalui teknik sampel konvenien. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 79.1% perawat rawat inap di enam rumah sakit di Indonesia memiliki pengetahuan tentang <em>high-quality</em> CPR pada tingkat yang baik. Perawat diharapkan untuk tetap mempertahankan dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan pemberian <em>high-quality CPR</em> sehingga bantuan hidup dasar yang diberikan akan berkualitas dan memberikan hasil optimal bagi pasien henti jantung dalam rumah sakit.</p>

Research Design using Cross-Sectional Design. The population is all mothers with infants in the Pesantren District of Kediri City using the incidental sampling technique, with a sample of 30 respondents. The Independent variable is Family Social Support and the Dependent variable is Lactation Management. The instrument uses a questionnaire. Statistical tests using the spearmen rho The results showed that the most supportive assessment of family support was as good as 18 respondents (60%), Instrumental Support was mostly as good as 18 respondents (60%), the most information support was good as many as 15 respondents (50 %) The most emotional support is good as many as 15 respondents (50%). The results of the study using the Rho spearman test obtained p = 0.025 with a Correlation Coefficient of 0.612 which means there is a strong relationship between family support and lactation management.
