Higher education in Armenia is currently facing the pressure of reform as well as tremendous opportunities for development. Implementation of these reforms is conditioned by the fact that competence is emphasized among knowledge, abilities, skills and values. The package of reforms also requires a new introduction to global environmental issues in higher education. In the conditions of the present ecological crisis one of the most important issues is to develop new approaches to ESD in higher education. The main problem of ESD is to raise the competence and participation of learners regarding environmental protection and resolution. The UNESCO Chair on “Education for Sustainable Development” at the Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia in cooperation with the National Institute of Education of the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science are carrying out a series of trainings and seminars for educators and students from pedagogical institutes to increase their competence on key environmental topics in the context of sustainable development implementing project method of teaching. Pedagogical-oriented universities and vocational training institutions have been chosen, where trainings and seminars have been carried out with the best students and the teaching staff using project method. In the result of the trainings and seminars 44 teachers and learners from 5 universities, 3 vocational colleges, 5 high schools, 3 NGOs were trained in 3 regions of the Republic of Armenia (with different environmental problems). Evaluations were carried out and the best tested projects were presented at round table discussions.

The authors present the results of the sea buckthorn breeding at the Institute of Horticulture (NAAS). The stages of the work have been analyzed – from studying and selecting the initial material in the conditions of the Polissya, Polissya-Lisosteppe and Lisosteppe ecotopes (2012-2016) to the successful targeted introduction to the Northern part of the Lisosteppe (2017-2019) and new forms have been characterized according to the traits valuable for economy and molec-ular genetic markers. The new forms of the researched crop taking into consideration the high indices of their productiv-ity,adaptivity to the unfavourable abiotic and biotic environmental factors and consumption quality of fruits for pro-cessing and making functionary products were entered officially into Genetic Fund of the Plants of Ukraine as con-firmed by the certificates of copyright and developed genetic passports. The list of these genotypes includes 1-15-1 (Nos-ivchanka, UA3700073), 1-15-8S (Mitsna, UA3700079), make form 1-15-6Ch (Aboryhen 6/11, UA3700080), 1-15-9 Ka-rotynna, UA3700082), 1-15-3 (Pamiatka, UA3700076), 1-15-8V (Soniachne siayvo, UA3700075), 1-15-11 (Lymonna, UA3700072), 2-15-73 (Morkviana, UA3700077), 1-15-5 (Adaptyvna, UA3700078), 1-15-8B (Osoblyva, UA3700083), 1-15-6 (Apelsynova, UA3700084) and forms 6A/11 (UA3700081), 1-15-5a (Sribnolysta 5a, UA3700074). The possibility of using 5 DNA markers to characterize genotypes of sea buckthorn bymeans of the molecular genetic markers was tested and evaluated in the framework of the scientific cooperation with the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. It should be noted that the most polymorphic markers were HrMS025 and HrMS026. However, the marker HrMS014 was monomorphic, but appeared in all the samples, so it can be used as a reference. The best forms of sea buckthorn Adaptyvna (certificate №190899) and Osoblyva (certificate №190900) were included into the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for dissemination in Ukraine, and the cultivars of the univer-sal use Nadiina (applications №18299010), Oliana (applications №18299009) and Morkviana (applications № 20299001) and cv pollinator Obrii (applications №18299008) undergo the State strain test. The attention is concentrat-ed on the promising directions of the new sea buckthorn genotypes for the prior breeding and genetic investigations at the Institute of Horticulture (NAAS) and its network.

The priority for the national library and information industry is to unite the efforts of the professional community in the formation of an integrated national information environment. Using of integrated information resources leads to improved quality of products and services; effective implementation of innovations leads to economic benefits, contributes to the development of the national cultural space. At the present stage, the only way for the libraries of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to be active is the introduction of information technologies and the creation of telecommunication environment, which significantly expands the traditional library activity.

Textbook is one of the form of teaching material and a significant guide for teachers and students. One of the factors determining student success in learning activity is the quality of the textbook. Learning vocabulary plays a vital role in all language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Thus the author decided to analyze the vocabulary materials in Bahasa Inggris Kelas XI textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. This analysis needs to be done to prove whether or not this textbook has sufficient quality to develop students' vocabulary. This research will be conducted using a qualitative research approach. The data collection method uses descriptive method because the author focuses on the vocabulary material in each chapter of the textbook. The data is analyzed using the instrument of textbook assessment by Houtz elements (1955). The results of the analysis that has been carried out shows that the textbook is suitable to be used as teaching material for the learning process in schools.

For the first time, a detailed study of the qualitative and quantitative composition of ginsenosides in the Panax ginseng roots was carried out with the help of high-performance liquid chromatography combined with mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). The plants were introduced into the conditions of the Republic of Belarus at the experimental plot of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. It was found that in the examined roots, all basic neutral glycosides of ginseng (ginsenosides Rb1, Rc, Rb2/Rb3, Rd, Rf, Rg1 and Re), as well as their malonylated derivatives (malonylginsenosides Rb1, Rc, Rb2/Rb3, Rd, Rg1 and Re) and some “minor” ginsenosides (20-gluco-ginsenoside Rf, notoginsenosides R1 and R2, isomers of malonyl-ginsenosides Rb1 and Rd) are present. The research also showed that different parts of the P. ginseng roots differ significantly in a total content of ginsenosides: for the main root, this parameter was 3.3 % of dry mass, and for the lateral roots – 7.8 % of dry mass.

The introduction of a quality management system is important because it leads to improved productivity, optimization of business processes of the organization, and also leads to a reduction in production costs. The article considers the theoretical aspects of the quality management system at the enterprise, outlines the methods and classification of existing quality management systems. The essence of legal regulation of the quality management system is investigated and its current state is characterized. It is noted how some experts classify quality management methods. Recommendations for improving the quality management system at a domestic enterprise are offered. Emphasis is placed on the fundamental standards of ISO 9000 and how they are integrated into the state standards of Ukraine. When developing quality management systems, it should be borne in mind that the quality management system covers all processes that occur in the enterprise and on which the quality of products or services depends. According to the capabilities of the production process, the stages of the product life cycle are considered, which should be used at the appropriate stages of development and certification of the quality management system. The task of improving the quality and expanding the range of products is relevant in modern production conditions. This task is multifaceted and includes a number of scientific and technical, environmental, economic and social problems. An interdisciplinary approach is needed for an effective solution. One of the ways is product quality management based on assortment analysis and its innovative development. The experience of developed countries shows that the health of the nation, primarily through food, their safety, is more reliable when it is achieved by improving the quality of products based on standardization worldwide and internationally. At the international level, quality requirements are regulated by ISO standards, strictly focused on the consumer. The first such standards were the standards of the 9000 series, which came out in the late 80's pp. XX century More than half of the world's countries have implemented national standards identical to ISO standards, as well as certified enterprises in accordance with ISO standards.
