This paper is a study about a literary work, Gaguritan Danghyang Nirartha (GDN), which is taken up from the book Sedjarah Danghyang Nirartha, wrote by Ida Bagus Putu Bek, printed by Pustaka Balimas (1961). This literary work is written in Balinese, in the form of a song (tembang). GDN told about a historical event of Danghyang Nirartha, who well known as a spiritualist in the Hindu religion. In about of his historical event, it told particularly when he was in Bali, where he had well come in the society. He met with Bendesa Mas in Mas village, and there Danghyang Nirartha purified two persons who became bhagawan (holy man), namely: I Bendesa Mas and Kiyayi Dauh Panulisan. And then he invited by the King to come to Gelgel palace, met the King of Gelgel. There Danghyang Nirartha got big honor from the King and appointed as a priest (bhagawanta) of the Kingdom. The purpose of this paper is to examine the literary work GDN, by looking at values: social-religious values, sociological, and moral values. In the sense of the theoretical approach, the content analysis model is used in this study, which is taken from Suwardi Endraswara (2003). As a result, in this study can be found some values: Hindu religion values, sociological values, and moral etic values, which are very useful to become better in the living of the society.  Keywords: Bendesa Mas; Danghyang Nirartha; Waturenggong

<p>One of the most phenomenal grammatical books in Indonesian <em>pesantren</em> is Kitab Alfiyah Ibn Malik. The book was arranged in the form of poetry, which consists of 1002 poems. This book is studied with rote methods. Many santri are able to memorize a thousand poems. Uniquely, many kiai who often make that poem as a proposition of other sciences such as <em>fiqh</em>, <em>tasawuf</em>, and morals. This study focuses on the phenomenon of interpretation of the grammatical poems among Arab scholars and Islamic scholars in Indonesia. Besides this study also observes patterns and mechanisms interpreting Alfiyah poems as a linguistic study and constructing moral values santri in boarding school. This study used intertextual method and critical discourse analysis. The data are analyzed by Norman Fairlough’s content analysis and critical discourse. This study found that the book Alfiyah Ibn Malik taught in the boarding school not only memorized by the students but also interpreted by the kiai to the philosophical meaning. The interpretation of the kiai on Alfiyah's poems is very broadly encompassing religious values i.e. honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, creativity, democracy, homeland love, social concern, and responsibility.</p><p>Salah satu buku gramatikal yang sangat fenomenal di pesantren Indonesia adalah kitab Alfiyah Ibn Malik. Kitab ini disusun dalam bentuk syair, yang terdiri dari 1002 sajak. Di pesantren Indonesia, kitab ini dikaji dengan motode hafalan. Banyak para santri yang mampu menghafal seribu sajak itu. Uniknya, banyak para kiai yang seringkali menjadikan sajak-sajak itu sebagai dalil dari ilmu-ilmu lain seperti fiqh, tasawuf, dan akhlak. Kajian ini mengamati fenomena tafsiran sajak-sajak gramatikal itu di kalangan ulama Arab dan kiai pesantren di Indonesia. Selain itu kajian ini juga mengamati pola dan mekanisme menafsirkan sajak-sajak Alfiyah sebagai kajian kebahasaan dan penanaman nilai-nilai moral santri di pondok pesantren. Metode yang digunakan meliputi metode intertekstual dan analisis wacana kritis. Adapun teknik analisis data yang yang digunakan adalah <em>content analysis</em> (analisis isi) dan analsis wacana (<em>critical discourse</em>) Norman Fairlough. Dari hasil peneltian ini ditemukan bahwa kitab Alfiyah Ibnu Malik yang diajarkan di pondok pesantren tidak hanya dihapal oleh para santri tapi juga ditafsirkan oleh para kiai kepada makna filosofis. Penafsiran para kiai atas sajak-sajak Alfiyah ini sangat luas mencakup nilai-nilai agama, kejujuran, kedisiplinan, kerja keras, kemandirian, kreativitas, demokrasi, cinta tanah air, kepedulian sosial dan tanggung jawab.</p>

This research aims to know the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of the panji story contained in the script Panji Kuda Narawangsa which is translated by Moelyono Sastronaryatmo and R. Aj. Indri Nitrani and its implications for literature learning in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with content analysis technique. The focus of this research is the element of the banner story in the script Panji Kuda Narawangsa. The conclusions of this study are: (1) the most dominant theme in this story is the theme of romance, the other themes are the theme of incarnation and war, (2) there are main figures, supporting figures, and supporting figures, (3) setting of place and time dominated the story, (4) extrinsic elements of the panji story are religious values, cultural values, social values, and moral values. Keywords: Panji Kuda Narawangsa, story elements, hermeneutics   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik cerita Panji yang terdapat dalam naskah Panji Kuda Narawangsa yang dialihbahasakan oleh Moelyono Sastronaryatmo dan R. Aj. Indri Nitrani dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) tema yang paling dominan dalam cerita Panji ini adalah tema percintaan, tema-tema yang lain adalah tema penjelmaan dan peperangan, (2) terdapat tokoh utama, tokoh pembantu, dan tokoh pendukung, (3) latar tempat dan latar waktu mendominasi cerita ini, (4) unsur ekstrinsik cerita panji berupa nilai agama, nilai budaya, nilai sosial, dan nilai moral. Karya sastra sebagai salah satu hasil kebudayaan manusia tentunya sangat menarik untuk dikaji kandungan pesan moralnya. Nilai-nilai pesan moral yang terdapat dalam cerita bersambung tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai pedoman hidup dan dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari- hari. Dalam penelitian ini, cerita bersambung yang diteliti berjudul “Mburu Pusaka” karya Al Aris Purnomo yang dimuat di Majalah Jaya Baya. Cerita bersambung “Mburu Pusaka” ini dimuat bagian demi bagian dari episode 1 sampai 23, yaitu sejak edisi nomor 06  Bulan Oktober 2014 sampai dengan edisi nomor 27 Bulan Maret 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan kandungan nilai moral di dalam cerita bersambung “Mburu Pusaka” karya Al Aris Purnomo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pustaka dan teknik catat. Dalam teknik analisis data, peneliti menggunakan metode content analysis (analisis isi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa cerbung “Mburu Pusaka” karya Al Aris Purnomo mengandung nilai moral baik meliputi sopan, ramah, percaya adanya Tuhan, menghormati perbedaan pendapat, peduli, rendah hati, akrab antara atasan dan bawahan, menghormati orang lain, mempunyai prinsip hidup, mengutamakan orang lain, bijaksana, jujur, dan cerdik; sedangkan nilai moral buruk meliputi mudah percaya pada orang lain, sakit hati pada orang lain, menukar barang milik orang lain, dan licik. Kata kunci: nilai moral, cerita bersambung Literary work is one people cultures which is very interesting to be analyzed in terms of its moral values. Moral values found inside this serial story can become life guidance and it can be applied in daily life. In this research, the serial story which is going to be analysed entitles Mburu Pusaka (hunting for heritage) written by al Aris Purnomo contained in Jaya Baya magazine. This story is contained part by part from episode 1 until episode23, since edition number 06 month of October 2014 until edition number 27 month of March 2015. The aim of this research is to describe the moral values found in serial story of Mburu Pusaka written by Al Aris Purnomo. Data collecting tecniques used are literary and documentary note-taking analysis. Data analysis technique used is content analysis method. Based on reserach result, it is found out that the Mburu Pusaka story contains good moral values such as polite, friendly, respecting different opinions, care, humble, being chummy between boss and staff, respecting others, accentuating others, wise, honest, and smart while bad moral values such as easily believing in others, resentful to othres, exchange other’s goods, and sly.

Many folklores have same motives, but different in development adjust to the community that support the story. Differences in the development of the story in folklore shows the influences of local cultures to the storyteller. The differences cause various versions of folklore. It is also seen in folklore Mahligai Keloyang from Indragiri Hulu Regency and Koba Malin Deman from Rokan Hulu Regency. Therefore, this study aimed to find the similarities and the differences of the two folklores. The analysis of the similarities and differences of The legend Mahligai Keloyang and Koba Malin Deman applied dynamic structuralism theory, the theory which does not only emphasizes the intrinsic elements, but also pay attention to extrinsic elements in literature. Due to the fact that the study was also intended to compare two folklores, the research method used is descriptive comparative method. Based on the analysis of the structure of the story, it is found that there are similarities and differences in the stories Mahligai Keloyang and Koba Malin Deman which includes elements of the theme, the characters, the settings, and the plots. Based on the analysis of the cultural values in the folklores, some similarities and differences of religious values, moral values, and social values are found.AbstrakBanyak cerita rakyat yang mempunyai motif yang sama, tetapi berbeda pengembangannya disesuaikan dengan masyarakat pendukung cerita tersebut. Perbedaan pengembangan cerita dalam cerita rakyat memperlihatkan adanya pengaruh budaya lokal kepada si pencerita. Perbedaan itulah yang menimbulkan berbagai versi cerita rakyat. Hal ini juga terlihat dalam cerita rakyat “Mahligai Keloyang” dari Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu dan “Koba Malin Deman” dari Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan persamaan dan perbedaan kedua cerita rakyat tersebut. Analisis terhadap persamaan dan perbedaan cerita legenda “Mahligai Keloyang” dan “Koba Malin Deman” dilakukan dengan menggunakan teori strukturalisme dinamik, yaitu teori yang tidak hanya menekankan pada unsur-unsur intrinsik, tetapi juga memerhatikan unsur ekstrinsik dalam karya sastra. Karena penelitian ini juga bermaksud membandingkan dua cerita rakyat, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif komparatif. Berdasarkan analisis struktur cerita didapati bahwa persamaan dan perbedaan yang terdapat dalam cerita “Mahligai Keloyang” dan “Koba Malin Deman” meliputi unsur tema, tokoh, latar, dan alur. Mealui analisis nilai budaya pada kedua cerita rakyat tersebut diperoleh persamaan dan perbedaan tentang nilai agama, nilai moral, dan nilai sosial.

Resumen: El baile a lo largo del tiempo ha sido visto como una actividad peligrosa para los valores morales y religiosos. El cuerpo de la mujer ha sido visto como un medio para excitar el pecado. La obra dramática de Federico García Lorca logra capturar el conflicto moral y las implicaciones sexuales del baile con personajes femeninos que luchan entre el deseo y sus  instintos. En el presente trabajo, analizo algunos de los valores sociales y morales del baile en el teatro de Lorca. Palabras clave: Federico García Lorca, Danza, trangresión, cuerpo, estigma social. Abstract: Dance over time has been perceived as an activity threatening certain moral and religious values. The female body is the expressive instrument in dancing, as a mean to incite sinful behavior. The dramatic work of Federico García Lorca capture the moral conflict and the sexual implications of the dance with female characters who struggle between desire and their instincts. In the present article, I review some of the negative social and moral values present in dancing, in Lorca’s view.Key words: Federico Garcia-Lorca, dance, transgression, body, social stigma.

The current era, with fertile technology that is increasingly developing, certainly has positive and negative sides. One of the phenomena that shows the negative side of development technologies such as Youtube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is that many cildren use media gadgets as playmates, so that the child is not controlled is choosing content that is popular in cyberspace, as a reseult the child will further away from values religion, humanitarian values, values justice and moral values. In this article, the researcher describes the prevention of moral decadence for the younger generation, so it is necessary to increase the role of education, especially the role of parents in selecting entertaiment content that contains moral values for children. These efforts are made to prepare the next generation who have knowledge, faith and good character. The writing of this article uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The writer in this article uses Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis model known as “two order of signification”, namely by looking for the denotative meaning the connotation of each scene. From using this method the researcher foumd that the animated film Nussa and Rarra, the episode of prayer must contain values from the concept of Islamic teachings, namely Akidah, Sharia and Moral. If parents are able to nurture and guide by choosing content that educated and implements in life, it is hoped that the child will become a person with character according to the expectation of the nation and religion. Though all the religions of the world teach love, preach sympathy for others and encourage man to exercise utmost self-restraint and have most profoundly been a source of inspiration for the highest good of mankind, the world today is torn by conflicts, enmity and religious hatred. In this predicament, a lasting and peaceful society is impossible unless different faiths are understood in their proper perspectives. Therefore, it is necessary that people belonging to different faiths understand each other well. This necessitates a constant dialogue and effort to generate moral and hearty religious thinking. The advocates of all the religions of the world emphasize the importance of certain virtues and moral values. Only these can foster unity and cohesion of mankind. But the moral and religious values cannot be invoked by force. <p>Tafsir Al-Huda<em>, interpreting Quran in Javanese language, is one of Indonesia interpretation in which the context projecting the process of mingle between Quran and Javanese culture heritage owned by the author with social culture condition surrounded. </em>Tafsir Al-Huda <em>is a guidebook for experiencing sacred messages of Quran which is filled with moral values of Javanese culture. This research tried to study Javanese ethical values written in </em>Tafsir Al-Huda<em>. Content analysis method with hermeunetic approach is used in this study by interpreting symbols in form of text in order to find its meaning. This research conclude that </em>Tafsir Al-Huda <em>has Javanese cultural perspective, use cultural context, and has acomodating and integrating interconection.  Tafsir Al-Huda embody the Javanese philosophy and view of life to make society remember the God and be aware to any behavior and saying (</em>eling lan waspada<em>)</em><em>, tolerate and respect others (</em>tepa selira<em>)</em><em>, and live in harmony with the concept that harmony can create unity, dispute can create separation </em>(rukun agawe santosa lan crah agawe bubrah)<em>.</em></p>

Penelitian ini memaparkan representasi nilai religi dalam setiap bait-bait puisi karya Taufik Ismail. Puisi yang bernilai religius dapat digunakan untuk menyadarkan masyarakat (pembaca) untuk selalu bersyukur pada Tuhan Sang Penguasa. Kumpulan puisi Debu di Atas Debu: Kumpulan Puisi Dwi-Bahasa karya Taufik Ismail merupakan catatan-catatan emosional zaman dengan gejolak politik dan sikap bangsa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini berupa kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi (content analysis) serta pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepengarangan Taufik yang terdapat pada representasi nilai religi di setiap bait-bait puisi. Melalui seni pedalangan ketika Taufik bermukim di Yogyakarta dan seni bakaba ketika Taufik pindah ke Bukittinggi yang merupakan bentuk gaya kepengaranan seorang penyair yang dipengaruhi kebudayaan lokal, Taufik ingin menyentuh perasaan pembaca akan representasi nilai religius untuk membentuk karakter bangsa.Kata Kunci: representasi; nilai; religi; kepengarangan; puisi This study describes the representation of religious values in each poetic verse by Taufik Ismail. Religious poetry can be used to make people (readers) aware to always be grateful to God the Lord. A collection of Debu di Atas Debu: Kumpulan Puisi Dwi-Bahasa by Taufik Ismail is an emotional record of the times with political turmoil and the attitude of the Indonesian people. This type of research is qualitative with the method of content analysis and the sociological approach of literature. This is aimed at describing Taufik's authorship in the representation of religious values in each verse of poetry. Through the art of puppetry when Taufik settled in Yogyakarta and bakaba art when Taufik moved to Bukittinggi which was a form of the poet's sound style influenced by local culture, Taufik wanted to touch the readers' feelings about the representation of religious values to shape the nation's character.Keywords: representation; values; religion; authorship; poetry
