Abstract BackgroundVogt–Koyanagi–Harada (VKH) disease is an autoimmune disorder which affects numerous organs of the body. We report two cases of Optic Nerve Head neovascularisation (NVD) in diagnosed cases of Vogt Koyanagi Harada(VKH) disease.FindingsCase 1: A 40 years female presented with acute loss of vision in both eyes for 10 days. She had multiple serous detachments in both eyes and diagnosed as acute VKH disease. After treatment, she was observed to have NVD later on OCT Angiography(OCTA). Case 2: A 52 years old man presented with history of sudden blackouts in front of left eye since 4 months. He was a case of chronic VKH and NVD was seen clinically and on OCTA. ConclusionThe exact etiopathogenesis of neovascularization in Harada’s disease is unclear. The low grade inflammations acts as a stimulus and can induce disc neovascularization even in the absence of vascular occlusion. ONH vessels appear to be more susceptible to developing NVD than retinal vessels in presence of chronic inflammation.

As one of disciplines, Sufism has undergone the stages of scientific development. It is difficult to reach an agreement related to the classification of Sufism schools from the first time it appeared until today. However, by taking the characteristics of each thought into account, Sufism can be classified into several schools, namely Rajā 'wa khauf Sufism, Maḥabbah Sufism, Happy Sufism, Al-Ḥallāj Sufism, Al-Gazzālī Sufism, Philosophical Sufism, and Ibn Taimiyyah Sufism. Sufism that grew in the early days, in the first and second centuries of Hegira, such as Maḥabbah and Rajā' wa khauf Sufism, was in general undisputed because it was still far from the influence of foreign elements and had strong attachments to Al-Qur'an and Sunah. Sufism in the third and fourth centuries of Hijra, although from the scientific side is more established, systematic, and structured, the symptoms of conflict with Fiqh began to grow which reached its peak in the time of Al-Hallāj. Sufism in the fifth century, at the time of Al-Gazzālī, was the most beautiful period in the history of Sufism because Sufism and Fiqh could be integrated. Sufism in the next period began to had another conflict because of the influence of philosophy until the time of Ibn Taimiyyah who wanted to return Sufism to its origin. This paper conducted a literature review on the history of Sufism to capture the schools that have emerged since its inception. In the final section, a critical analysis of the Sufism schools was carried out and it was closed with a few ideas on how to eclectically adapt the results of this critical analysis for the Islamic Education learning.

Background: Surgical site infections (SSI) are the most common acquired infection during hospitalization and a major cause of morbidity, mortality, increased health care costs and delays in treatments for cancer patients. Objective: The objective of this literature review was to gain a better understanding of the relationship between uncontrolled blood glucose and the odds of developing a SSI among cancer patients. Interventions / Methods: A database search (which engaged PubMed, Medline, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature and The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews) was completed using the key words: ‘surgical site infection’ or ‘surgical wound infection’ OR ‘SSI’ AND cancer or neoplasms OR oncology OR tumor OR malignancy AND diabetes OR hyperglycemia AND risk factors. Twenty-seven studies met the inclusion criteria to be included in this review. Results: The odds ratio for history of diabetes or hyperglycemia and SSI following cancer surgery varied across studies. This is likely explained in part by the fact that some types of surgery are more invasive than others, are more lengthy, and involve areas of the body that are more prone to infection. The study with the highest rate of SSI (62.1%) was among patients with oral cancer and the study with the lowest rate of SSI (3.1%) was among patients with spinal cancer. Conclusion: The literature review results suggested an association between SSI and patients with a history of diabetes mellitus or hyperglycemia. Key Words: Diabetes, cancer, literature review, surgical site infections, surgery, glucose

This article aims to reveal the vernacular activities of the Koran in the South Sulawesi region through the work of Bugis scholars. The focus of this study is specifically on the work of Tafsir al-Qur'an Al-Karim bi al-Lugah al-Bugisiyah written by AG. Yunus Maratan by testing his methodology and dialectics within the framework of Bugis culture. By using a descriptive-analytic approach, this article shows the findings that this work is an attempt to bridge the al-Qur'an as an Arabic text with ordinary Bugis people who do not understand the original language of the Qur’an (Arabic), so that Al-Qur'an. Methodologically, the work is not a literary interpretation like mainstream tafsir literatures, but only as a translation work of the Koran that combines tarjamah lafziyah and tafsiriyah. This phenomenon also proves that the history of the spread of Islamic da'wah in the archipelago, especially in South Sulawesi, is very flexible by involving various local elements as a medium for preaching, including the vernacular of al-Qur'an. That is why the works of Bugis clerics and the cultural context of the community are intertwined in forming a local Islamic culture.
