Hypertension or high blood pressure is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risk of heart, brain, kidney, and other diseases. In COVID-19 patients, Arterial Hypertension (AH) is one of the cardiovascular comorbidities that can worsen outcomes and increase the risk of admission to the intensive care unit (ICU). This study aims to measure the effectiveness of health education about hypertension and blood pressure checks using the media leaflet on the knowledge and attitudes of the community in Tanete Labba Hamlet, Maros.This research is a quasi-experimental research with Pre-test and Post-test without Control Group Design in Tanete Labba Hamlet, Baji Pa'mai Village, Cenrana District, Maros Regency. The population in this study were residents of Tanete Labba Hamlet, Baji Pa'mai Village, using purposive sampling method with inclusion criteria of population aged 15 years and never or rarely had their health checked so that a sample of 38 respondents was obtained. The analysis used is a paired T test. The purpose of this counseling is to provide information related to hypertension risk factors, symptoms of hypertension, control and prevention of hypertension, namely in the form of recommendations to control blood pressure regularly at least every 6 months. Health education with leaflet media had a significant effect on the level of knowledge p = 0.002 (p < 0.05) and the attitude of respondents p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) about hypertension and blood pressure checks. Most of the community gave a positive response to the material presented, enthusiastic in reading the contents of the leaflet and asking questions about hypertension and blood pressure checks. It is important that education and counseling programs are developed according to the needs of the community so that they can increase the knowledge of the general public and bring about positive changes in attitudes and practices.

Background: In general, Toxoplasma infection does not cause any symptoms, but in pregnant women the infection can risk the placenta and the baby. In the long term, babies can grow up to be blind, deaf, decreased IQ and mentally retarded. 3Purpose was to determine the effectiveness of Toxoplasmosis Health Education on Increasing Knowledge and Attitudes of Fertile Age Women (WUS) in Gampong Lampoh Keude, Kuta Baro District, tofu.Methods: The design of this study used a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) design with a nonrandomized pretest-posttest only control group design. The sample was women of childbearing age taken by purposive sampling of 40 people (lecture group of 20 people and leaflet group of 20 people). Then the data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate, using the statistical test is the t test.Results: There was no significant increase in the knowledge of respondents in the lecture and leaflet groups with a sign value of 0.289 (sign  0.05). And the attitude of the respondents in the lecture group and the leaflet group did not have any significant changes with a sign value of 1,000 (sign  0.05).Conclusion: there is a change in respondent's knowledge and respondent's attitude there is no change in health education using leaflets and lecturesSuggestion: WUS is expected to maintain health and live a healthy life so as not to contract toxoplasmosis infection, before or during pregnancy.Keywords: Toxoplasmosis, women of childbearing age, knowledge and attitudes.   ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Pada umumnya infeksi toksoplasma tidak menimbulkan gejala apa pun, namun pada ibu hamil infeksi tersebut dapat berisiko menyerang plasenta dan bayi. Dalam jangka panjang, bayi dapat tumbuh menjadi anak yang buta, tuli, penurunan IQ  dan terbelakang mental.3 Tujuan: mengetahui Efektifitas Pendidikan Kesehatan Toksoplasmosis terhadap Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Sikap Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di Gampong Lampoh Keude kecamatan Kutabaro.Metode : Desain penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental (eksperimen semu) dengan rancangan nonrandomized pretest-posttest only control group  design.   Sampel adalah wanita usia subur diambil secara purposive sampling sebanyak 40 orang (kelompok ceramah 20 orang dan kelompok leaflet 20 orang). Kemudian data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat, dan menggunakan uji statistik  adalah t test.Hasil : Pengetahuan responden pada kelompok ceramah dan kelompok leaflet tidak ada peningkatan yang bermakna dengan nilai sign 0,289 ( sign > 0,05 ). Sikap responden pada kelompok ceramah dan kelompok leaflet tidak ada perubahan yang bermakna dengan nilai sign 1,000 ( sign > 0,05 ).Kesimpulan : ada perubahan pengetahuan responden dan sikap responden, namun tidak ada perubahan pendidikan kesehatan penggunaan leafllet dan ceramah.Saran: Kepada WUS diharapkan menjaga kesehatan dan hidup sehat supaya tidak terjangkit infeksi toksoplasmosis, sebelum ataupun ketika hamil. Kata Kunci : Toksoplasmosis, wanita usia subur, pengetahuan dan sikap.

One of the factors that influence Kadarzi's achievement is the knowledge and attitudes of the toddler's mother. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling using backsheet media on the knowledge and attitudes of toddlers' mothers about Kadarzi in the Cipeundeuy Health Center District of West Bandung Regency. The research design used was quasi-experimental with a pre-post test control group design model with a total sample of 28 people each for the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was given an intervention in the form of counseling using flipchart media, while the control group was given an intervention in the form of counseling using leaflet media. The results obtained from the Wilcoxon test in the experimental group and the t-dependent test in the control group were changes in the increase in knowledge and attitude scores in the experimental group and the control group after intervention (p <0.005). The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed no significant difference between knowledge and attitude scores in the experimental group and the control group (p> 0.005). It is better to do further research related to Kadarzi's behavior so that the application of the Kadarzi indicator can be monitored so that it can describe the results of attitudinal changes, and to increase Kadarzi's knowledge and attitudes to toddler mothers.

SMA 5 and SMA 21 are the leading schools in Makassar City which have a Youth Counseling Information Center. Previous research looked at the influence of game simulation and brainstorming on the knowledge and attitudes of stundent about reproductive health for high school adolescents in Makassar City, including SMA 5 and SMA 21, but the results did not have effect on students' knowledge and attitudes. Therefore, the researcher took the initiative to provide another intervention in the form of counseling. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling on knowledge and attitudes about risky sexual behavior among students in SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a randomized pre test post test control group design. A sample of 76 students of class XI SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City, using simple random sampling technique. Data collection was using a questionnaire. Statistical analysis used paired t-test and independent samples t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of counseling on knowledge (p = 0.002) but there was no effect on attitudes (p = 0.865) in SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City. It is suggested that SMA 5 and SMA 21 Makassar City be active in conducting counseling, especially counseling about attitudes, so that students have positive attitudes about risky sexual behavior.

Abstract: Indonesia has a prevalence of oral health problems which is continuously increasing, mostly among children. The two dominating diseases namely dental caries and periodontal disease. Factor that influences both diseases is behavior. Intervention through education with the use of appropriate methods and media can improve children’s knowledge. This study was aimed to compare the effectiveness of dental health education (DHE) using lecture method and simulation game in increasing the knowledge of oral health of children. This was a quasi experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. Respondents were students of SDN Mantelagheng aged 10-12 years old as many as 56 students obtained by using total sampling method. Respondents were divided into two groups: lecture and simulation game, each of 27 students. The results showed that the DHE in lecture and simulation game groups could significantly increase the children’s knowledge about oral health (p=0.000). The Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference in effectiveness between the two groups (p=0.000). The average value of the lecture group was 16.52 meanwhile of the simulation group 38.48. Conclusion: Simulation game method was more effective to improve the oral health knowledge of children than the lecture method.Keywords: dental health education, knowledgeAbstrak: Indonesia memiliki prevalensi masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang terus meningkat, dan sebagian besar terjadi pada anak-anak. Dua penyakit yang mendominasi, yaitu karies gigi dan penyakit periodontal. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada kedua penyakit ini yaitu perilaku. Intervensi melalui pendidikan dengan penggunaan metode dan media yang tepat, dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas dental health education (DHE) metode ceramah dan permainan simulasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak. Jenis penelitian ialah quasi experimental dengan rancangan non equivalent control group. populasi penelitian yaitu siswa SDN Mantelagheng yang berusia 10-12 tahun. Terdapat 56 siswa sebagai responden, diperoleh dengan metode total sampling,dibagi dalam dua kelompok yakni ceramah dan permainan simulasi masing-masing 27 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan DHE pada kelompok ceramah dan permainan simulasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut masing-masing mendapatkan p=0,000. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan perbandingan bermakna antara efektivitas kedua kelompok (p=0,000), dengan nilai rerata kelompok ceramah 16,52 dan kelompok permainan simulasi 38,48. Simpulan: Metode permainan simulasi lebih efektif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah.Kata kunci: dental health education, pengetahuan

Hypertension is a persistent blood pressure with systolic blood pressure above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure above 90 mmHg. The treatment of hypertension is highly depend on the information given by nurse to patients’ skills on self care management to modify and maintain effective behavior. These activities include self management in prescribed medication, health monitoring, adequate rest, stress management and prescribed diet and exercises. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Hypertension Self Management Education (HSME) on controlling blood pressure in hypertensive patients in the Kabanjahe health center.This research used the quasi experimental research, using pretest and posttest with control group design. The samples of  research consisted of 40 respondents, and they were divided into two groups, namely: control group and intervention group. The data of research were analyzed by using the Paired T-test. The result of research shows that the p-values of Paired T-test of the experiment and control groups were 0.782 and 0.577 respectively whereas the p- value of Independent T-test was 0.001 (p <α; α = 0.05). Thus, there was an effect of Hypertention Self Management Education (HSME) on the control of  blood pleasure of the patient hypertention, Community Health Center, Kabanjahe. The nurses, therefore, are suggested to extend the HSME to control the blood pleasure hypertention client and and utilize the HSME as a health promotion program.   Hipertensi adalah tekanan darah persisten dengan tekanan darah sistolik di atas 140 mmHg dan tekanan darah diastolik di atas 90 mmHg. Perawatan hipertensi sangat tergantung pada informasi yang diberikan oleh perawat kepada keterampilan pasien tentang manajemen perawatan diri untuk memodifikasi dan mempertahankan perilaku yang efektif. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini termasuk manajemen diri dalam pengobatan yang diresepkan, pemantauan kesehatan, istirahat yang cukup, manajemen stres dan diet dan olahraga yang ditentukan. Tujuan  penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Hypertention Self Management Education (HSME) terhadap pengontrolan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi di puskesmas kabanjahe. Metode penelitian adalah quasi experimental dengan menggunakan metode pre-test and post-test with control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 40 responden, dan mereka dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu: kelompok kontrol dan kelompok intervensi. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Paired T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-p dari uji-T Berpasangan dari eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol masing-masing adalah 0,782 dan 0,577 sedangkan p-nilai dari Independent T-test adalah 0,001 (p <α; α = 0,05). Dengan demikian, ada efek dari Edukasi Manajemen Diri Hipertensi (HSME) pada kontrol tekanan darah dari pasien hipertensi, Puskesmas, Kabanjahe. Oleh karena itu, perawat disarankan untuk memberikan penkes HSME untuk mengendalikan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi dan memanfaatkan HSME sebagai program promosi kesehatan.

The effect of celery (apium graveolens) leaf and bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum wight) on the blood pressure in pre-elderly with primary hypertensionBackground: Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is as medical condition in which the blood pressure in arteries is persistently elevated. This condition can increase risk of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, kidney failure, heart attack, and kidney damage. Hypertension requires proper treatment to prevent uncontrolled blood pressure that can cause damaged organs. One of traditional treatment for hypertension is using celery leaves (Apium graveolens L) and bay leaves (Syzygium polyantum).Purpose: This research is to determine the difference of blood pressure after the consumption of boiled water celery leaves and bay leaves in pre-elderly with hypertension at Cigugur Tengah Public Health Center.Method: The type of this research is the numerical comparative analytic with Quasi Experiment design with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. This research used purposive sampling technique using 22 responden with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection was performed by measuring the blood pressure before and after the consumption of celery leaves and bay leaves boiled water that consume twice a day in one week. The data are processed including univariate and bivariate data analysis.Results: The statistical result of T-independent test obtain p value of 0,365 > α (0,05)  for the systolic blood pressure and 0,574 > α (0,05) for diastolic blood pressure.Conclusion: Result showed that there is no average difference of blood pressure in group intervention boiled water of celery leaves and bay leaves after consumption of boiled water celery leaves and bay leaves. However, both intervention have decreased blood pressure of hypertension patient.Suggestion of this research is to consume boiled water of celery leaves and bay leaves for longer time as additional therapy for hypertension patient.Keywords: Pre-elderly; Celery leaf; Bay leaf; Primary hypertensionPendahuluan: Hipertensi merupakan suatu keadaan tekanan darah yang tinggi di dalam arteri, sehingga meningkatkan risiko terhadap penyakit-penyakit yang berhubungan dengan kardiovaskuler seperti stroke, gagal ginjal, serangan jantung, dan kerusakan ginjal. Hipertensi membutuhkan penanganan yang tepat untuk mencegah tidak terkontrolnya tekanan darah yang dapat menyebabkan organ tubuh menjadi rusak. Salah satu pengobatan alami hipertensi yang dilakukan adalah pengobatan dengan menggunakan daun seledri (Apium graveolens L) dan daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum).Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perbedaan tekanan darah sesudah pemberian air rebusan daun seledri dan air rebusan daun salam terhadap penurun tekanan darah pada pra lansia dengan hipertensi primerMetode: Analitik komparatif numerik tidak berpasangan dengan desain Quasi Eksperimen dengan rancangan Non Equivalent Control Group. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 22 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengukur tekanan darah responden sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dua kali sehari selama satu minggu. Pengolahan dengan menggunkan uji T-independent diperoleh nilai p value tekanan darah sistolik 0,365 > α (0,05) dan p value tekanan darah diastolik 0,574 > α (0,05).Hasil: Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rerata tekanan darah pada kelompok intervensi baik yang diberikan air rebusan daun seledri dan air rebusan daun salam.Simpulan: Terdapat penurunan tekanan darah dari kedua kelompok intervensi tersebut bagi penderita hipertensi. Saran dari penelitian ini diharapkan penderita yang mengalami hipertensi dapat mengaplikasikan air rebusan daun seledri dan air rebusan daun salam dalam kurun waktu lama sebagai tambahan terapi untuk hipertensi.

Abstract Background: Almost one-third of children under five suffer from stunting in Indonesia. Stunting can be prevented optimally since the period of pregnancy as the initial phase of the first 1000 days of life. This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition education and reproductive health on pregnant women in Bogor Regency, Indonesia.Methods: A quasi-experimental study was conducted among 194 pregnant women from August to November 2019. The pregnant women were randomly selected from two different villages that were the stunting locus in Bogor Regency. The intervention group (n=97) received two hours of nutrition and reproductive health education in small groups (4-5 mothers per group) every two weeks for three consecutive months. This interactive education had been given by a facilitator using some techniques such as role-playing, lectures, simulation, and games. The control group (n=97) were to obtain regular health care services. A structured questionnaire was applied to collect data consisting of maternal characteristics, nutritional and reproductive health knowledge, attitudes, and practices in the intervention and control groups. Data were analyzed using t-test and chi-square analysis.Results: Pregnant women in the intervention group indicate a significant increase in knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding nutrition and health reproductive after being given an education. The pretest and posttest mean scores in the intervention group were 55.1 and 83.1; 40.2 and 49.0; and 36.2 and 40.2, for the overall mother's knowledge, attitudes, and practices, respectively. Whereas in the control group, there was no significance between the pretest and posttest mean for these three variables. There was a significant difference (p<0.05) in the posttest mean between the intervention group and the control group, but the difference was not significant (p>0.05) at the pretest.Conclusion: Providing nutrition and reproductive health education through small groups with interactive methods improves the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of pregnant women. This intervention has the potential to be replicated and developed into large-scale implementation by optimizing collaboration between government, non-governmental organizations, and maternal and child health service providers.

Background: Consumption of vegetables and fruit among school age children is still low due to lack of knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit. Nutrition education can be provided to increase knowledge and attitudes as early as possible. Nutrition education using puzzle media is expected to increase knowledge and form a positive attitude about vegetable and fruit consumption.Objective: To determine the effect of nutrition education using puzzle media towards knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit in elementary school children.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. Fourty elementary school children were divided into two groups. The treatment group received nutrition education using puzzle media and a control group received nutrition education without puzzle media. Knowledge and attitudes were assessed before and after the study based on scores. Data were analyzed using Paired T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test.Results: The average score od knowledge in the treatment group increase by 18.25 points and the control group scre increased by 12.25 points. The mean score of attitudes in the treatment group increased by 14.45 points and the control group (p=0.014) and the attitude scores between the treatment group and the control group (p=0.003)Conclusion: Nutrition education using puzzle media can increase knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit in elementary school children.Keywords: Nutrition education; Puzzle media; Vegetable and fruit; Knowledge; Attitude.

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is the main cause of sudden death in a person. Sudden death due to ACS can be prevented if individuals who show symptoms of ACS immediately obtain health services. If the family (caregiver) has good knowledge about ACS, the delay can be avoided. The method of implementing health education that is safe to use during the COVID-19 pandemic is to be carried out virtually. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of virtual health education in increasing family knowledge about ACS. The research was carried out in the work area of the Andalas Public Health Center, Padang City. The type of research used is quantitative using a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study were family members of individuals who are at high risk of experiencing ACS totaling 266 people consisting of 133 people in the case group and 133 others in the control group. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. Respondents' understanding of the material after health education, both in the case group and the control group, was evaluated using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 15 questions. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed statistically using the SPSS program. The results showed that virtual health education had a positive effect on respondents' knowledge of ACS in the case group compared to the control group. The results showed that there was a significant effect of health education on knowledge (p value = 0.000) of respondents in the case group. However, there was no effect in the control group (p value 0,181). The health promotion team should continue to provide health education to the public about ACS during COVID-19 pandemic using virtual media. Thus, health promotion programs can continue to be carried out without having to worry about the spread of the corona virus.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh health education video project dalam proses discharge planning untuk meningkatkan kesiapan keluarga dalam merawat pasien stroke. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental pretest and posttest with control group design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan simple random sampling. Pengukuran tingkat kesiapan responden menggunakan kuesioner dan checklist tentang perawatan pasien stroke di rumah. Hasil uji Mann Whitney didapatkan p value (0,000)<α (0,05) artinya health education video project dalam proses discharge planning meningkatkan kesiapan keluarga dalam merawat pasien stroke di rumah.
