The empirical study of the involvement of personal volition in the athletic success of young athletes aged 9 to 18 yearsis presented. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between individual characteristics of volitional processes and the grade of sport performance, determined by the sports qualifications of the respondents. The specifics and requirements ofdifferent kinds of sport have been considered. At the sample of young athletes from 9 to 18 years old (N = 145, M = 13,2 years) for some sports (athletics, rock climbing, football)significant regression models were built. Particular characteristics of volitional processes or their combination were discovered as predictors, and the athlete’s performance was a dependent variable. For other sports disciplines (boxing, rowing, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics), such models could not be identified. Moreover, we established that emotional self-control and determination have a joint effect on the grade of sport performance of athletes who was younger than 13, while for athletesfrom 14 to 18 years oldcommon predictors of performance from among volitional qualities was not found.

We present the experience of reflexive activity approach to the preparation of future teachers to work on the management of project and research activities of younger schoolchildren. The theoretical basis of the research conducted at the university school of the Moscow City University is revealed. The description of an empirical stage of research of process of acquisition by bachelor degree students of the important labor functions focused on development of cognitive interests and cognitive abilities of younger schoolchildren is stated. The described program includes several interrelated blocks: theoretical block of the course “Research and Project Activities of Schoolchildren”, training research abilities, independent research practice of students and monitoring research activities of students. The experiment showed a high level of readiness for the management of research and project activities of younger schoolchildren. In addition, the generalized reflective data obtained during the training of students of different courses. As a result, we discovered that the training of students in the framework of reflexive activity approach creates conditions for the formation of future teacher’s competencies, the most popular in the modern labor market, the so-called “future skills”: general research skills; critical thinking; communication skills; teamwork skills; creative approach; skills in situations of uncertainty and risk.

Abstract Introduction. The locus of control and the sense of competence are the psychological resources relevant to the taking-up and continuation of actions in certain situations. They are important regulating factors of the relationships between the man and the environment. It seems that, in such a specific field as martial arts are, these characteristics are useful and their identification and targeted strengthening desirable. The aim of the research presented in this paper was to gather knowledge about the sense of competence and self-control of young people practicing martial arts, as well as the relationship between these variables. Materials and methods. A total of 39 people aged 14-19 years participated in this research. All of them practiced martial arts. They had an average of more than two years training. Data were collected through the (KBPK) Locus of control Questionnaire (by G. and A. Krasowicz Kurzyp-Wojnarski) and the Personal Competence Scale KompOs (by Z. Juczyñski), and a questionnaire designed specifically for this research. Results. Statistical analyses conducted for the study have showed that the respondents represent a transient sense of locus of control, and average levels of personal competence in the field of strength and perseverance. Out of the measured variables, the locus of control in the event of success and a sense of strength were relatively highest. These variables also proved to be interdependent. Analysis also allowed for identification of many other relationships between the variables. Conclusions. Our findings may provide a clue for a possible modification of programs mentally preparing young athletes for martial arts sports. They may also act as suggestions sensitise trainers to specific psychosocial needs of young athletes.

Introduction:The project activity in professional training of future teachers of vocational training ensures its ability to effectively solve pedagogical tasks, participate in teamwork, develop educational systems. The requirements of the future specialist's readiness for the project activity are reflected in the GEF and in the professional standard. This determines the relevance of involving future teachers of vocational training in project activities when mastering disciplines.Materials and methods:Experimental work on involving students in the project activities was carried out in three stages. At first, they had experience of participating in different types of project activities, the second involved work on engaging in project activities, and on the third, the effectiveness of involvement in project activities was assessed. At all stages of the study, methods of observation and generalization of pedagogical experience and questioning were used. Results:The first stage revealed the experience of participation in the project activity (the students took part in the development of the content and the project), the sources of difficulties for the students in the project activity (related to the search for ideas, practical implementation of the project and evaluation of its results) obtaining meaningful results and developing teamwork skills). At the second stage, methodical support of the project activity was developed within the framework of the discipline; experimental work in this direction was carried out. At the third stage, the trainees called the skills they perceived as new (to conduct assessment and self-evaluation of the results of the project work, to apply in ICT projects and on-line resources, etc.), indicated the existence of a strong relationship between the gained experience of the project activity and future professional activity, showed a decrease in the share of difficulties in the project work.Discussion and Conclusions:conclusions were drawn about the significant pedagogical potential for involving learners in the project activity in the discipline, provided that the quality of the methodical study of its content and the provision of project assignments at each stage with future professional activity are provided.

The modern tendencies of development of military-sports multiathlonists, the characteristic of physical training in modern martial arts are analyzed, age features of physical development of young athletes 6-8 years, features of development of motor qualities of young athletes 6-8 years, functional characteristics of the vestibular analyzer in young athletes, modern approaches to the structure and content of physical training at the stage of initial training in martial arts. Analysis of scientific and methodological literature indicates the presence of an array of knowledge on the development of specific for military-sports multiathlonists abilities, but this information is not generalized and not developed for children 6-8 years, and it is not clear to coaches the combination of tools for the development of general and special physical qualities, as well as specific qualities during the first year of study and in a separate military sport. Given all the above, we came to the conclusion that the existing traditional system of training in the Federation of military sports multiathlonists as it is, does not meet modern requirements. Therefore, reducing the age period of the beginning of training to 6 years, we first - support the tendency to early sports activities; secondly, we are forming a modern school of sports, covering all age groups of children, starting from primary school age; thirdly, we reduce the risk of injuries from skirmishes on the carpet, giving the young athlete the opportunity to undergo a decent initial training with an emphasis on physical training, with a gradual acquaintance with the basic technique of hand-to-hand combat in game conditions. With this in mind, the scientific substantiation of the structure and content of physical training, which would combine general physical training, auxiliary physical training (gymnastic exercises), special physical training (acrobatic exercises) and technical aspects of training young fighters 6-8 years of military-sports multiathlonists.
