This research was conducted from August to December 2016 at the PEM Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau and Central Plantation Service Laboratory. The study aims to 1). Analyzing the chemical and organoleptic qualites of Oil Palm Empty Bunches organic fertilizer with the addition of different EM-4 doses 2). Determine the best quality on the quality of Oil Palm Empty Bunches organic fertilizer. The experimental design was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and three replications. The treatment were application of (EM4) consist of 0 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml, 15 ml, 20 ml, and 25 ml. Results analysis using ANOVA variance, simple linear regression and validity and reliability analysis. The results showed that the addition of EM-4 resulted in quality in accordance with SNI 19-7030-2004 with the dose of 5 ml, 10 ml, and 15 ml, respectively, but on the measurement of fertilizer pH organic Oil Palm Empty Bunches does not meet SNI: 19-7030-2004.

This study aimed to determine the effect of ovaprim hormone, aromatase inhibitor and pituitary on the quality of the catfish eggs (Clarias gariepinus). Experimental Design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, each with three replications. Treatment A: ovaprim; treatment B: Aromatase inhibitors, treatment C: hypophysis and treatment D: Control. The results showed that the difference in treatment gave highly significant effect on fertilization and hatching eggs but no significant effect on the survival rate of larvae. Aromatase inhibitor hormone was the best because it provided highly significant effect on fertilization (92.66%), hatchability of eggs (95%), and surviva rate (81.33%) of fish larvae.   Keywords : Clarias gariepinus. Abstract The use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture has caused soil degradation and is harmful to human health. Organic fertilizers made from animal waste have received worldwide attention because they are not detrimental to health or the environment. This paper describes the effect of using organic fertilizers from chicken manure on the growth of papaya plants. A completely randomized design was used in this study using two factors and three repetitions; the variations of the fertilizers given were 0, 50, 100, 150, and 200 g. This study informed that organic chicken manure had a significant effect on the growth of oil palm and papaya plants. The best growth is oil palm and papaya plants given 200 g of organic fertilizer from chicken manure.

Jelly candy is a favorite snack of various ages from children to adults because it has an attractive color, delicious aroma and taste, and a chewy texture. In this study, papaya juice (Carica papaya L.) was used as a base ingredient for making jelly candy because papaya is a fruit that is very easy to find and has a relatively cheap price. In order to improve the quality of the papaya jelly candy, roselle calyx extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) was also added. Roselle calyx has been known to have high antioxidants because they contain anthocyanin pigments. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the addition of roselle calyx extract to the papaya jelly candy. The experimental design in this study was a completely randomized design with variations in the addition of roselle calyx extract by 0% (control), 15%, 30%, and 45%. The parameters tested in this study include chemical, physical, microbiological, and organoleptic qualities. The results of the research that have been carried out show the addition of 45% roselle calyx extract can produce the best papaya jelly candy based on water content, total titrated acid, antioxidant activity, total anthocyanin, texture, color, and microbiological tests which include total plate count and numbers of yeast molds. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of storage time of epididymis at 5 oC on spermatozoa quality of Aceh local goat. This research was conducted at Reproduction Laboratory, FKH Unsyiah from May to June 2009. Nine epididymis from local goat at the age of 1.5-2.0 years were used in this study. The epididymis were collected from abattoir in Banda Aceh. The experimental design used in this study was completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replications. Spermatozoa quality which consist of sperm concentration, motility, amount of life sperm, and sperm abnormality were examined after the collection of epididymis on day 0 (H-0), day 1 (H-1), and day 3 (H-3) post storage at 5 oC. Data were analyzed using one-way analyses of variance (ANOVA). The result showed that no significant difference (P0.05) seen in the spermatozoa quality after different storage time. The average of spermatozoa concentration on H-0, H-1, and H-3 were 318x107/ml, 282x107/ml, and 241x107/ml respectively. On the average, the percentage of spermatozoa motility on H-0, H-1, and H-3 were 82,27±2,75; 80,25±2,83; and 78,07±0,92%, respectively. Life spermatozoa observed on H-0, H-1, and H-3 were 82,29±2,71; 80,63±1,87; and 80,09±3,31%, respectively. Observation on spermatozoa abnormality showed that the average of spermatozoa abnormality on H-0, H-1, and H-3 were 7,23±0,27; 8,21±0,55; and 10,75±3,14%, respectively. It could be concluded that the spermatozoa quality were not affected by the storage time at temperature of 5 oC.

Sari. Pembentukan buah tanaman kelapa sawit yang menurun berimbas pada produksi tandan buah segar. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh penyerbukan secara alami yang kurang efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan ukuran serbuk sari terhadap potensi jumlah buah dalam satu tandan, persentase keberhasilan pembentukan buah, dan bentuk buah kelapa sawit dengan cara penyerbukan buatan. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan percobaan berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap, yang terdiri dari 2 perlakuan ukuran serbuk sari dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari ukuran serbuk sari 10 mesh dan 12 mesh. Pengujian lanjut dilakukan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ukuran serbuk sari tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah buah terbentuk dalam satu tandan, tetapi persentase keberhasilan pembentukan buah >80%, dan bentuk buah yang dihasilkan rata-rata buah normal. Ukuran serbuk sari dari saringan 10 dan 12 mesh secara deskriptif lebih kecil serta seragam dibandingkan saringan 2 – 8 mesh.Kata kunci: Kelapa Sawit, Potensi Hasil, Polen, Buah.Abstract. Decline of oil palm fruit sets impacts on the production of fresh fruit bunches (FFB). This is caused by less effective natural pollination. Objective of this research was to determine the effect of pollen size differences by artificial pollination to the potency of number of fruits per bunch, percentage of success fruit sets, and shapes of oil palm fruits. The method used experimental method. Experimental design was Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consisted of 2 pollen size treatments and 3 replications. The treatment consisted of pollen size of 10 mesh and 12 mesh, then tested by Duncan's Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the application of pollen size did not significantly affect the number of fruits per bunch, but the percentage of success fruit sets was> 80%, and the shape of fruit was normal.  Pollen size from sieves 10 and 12 mesh descriptively homogen and smaller than pollen size from sieves 2 – 8 mesh. Despite the importance of the Amazonian species Schizolobium amazonicum, there is still no official protocol to favor the germination process of its seeds. The objective of this study was to evaluate methods of overcoming dormancy of paricá seeds and the quality of seedlings produced. The work was carried out at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins-Campus Araguatins. The experimental design was a completely randomized design with seven treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of: intact seeds; lateral mechanical scarification of the tegument with electric emery for 2 seconds; lateral mechanical scarification of the tegument, using sandpaper number 50 for 1 minute + immersion in water at room temperature for 12 hours; chemical scarification of the tegument with caustic soda at 20% concentration for 30 minutes; chemical scarification of the tegument with caustic soda at a concentration of 20% for 45 minutes; immersion in water at 80 ºC + stay in water (room temperature) for 12 hours; immersion in water at 90 ºC + stay in water (room temperature) for 12 hours. The treatment with lateral mechanical scarification of the integument using electric emery for 2 seconds is the most suitable for overcoming dormancy in paricá seeds. Methods of overcoming dormancy had no influence on the quality of paricá seedlings.

Abstract This study aimed to determine the use of various doses of FSH hormone, the number of lutheum corpus and the number and quality of embryos produced in the superovulation program in Pesisir cattle. The experimental design was Analysis of Variance (Anova) in a completely randomized design. The research material used 16 cows from Pesisir cattle that had been synchronized with estrous with CIDR implants for 13 days and were injected with the PGF2α hormone after the release of CIDR, then scheduled AI was performed. The dose of FSH hormone was 16 ml, 17 ml, 18 ml and 19 ml, each treatment consisting of 4 replications. The injection of the FSH hormone was carried out for 3 days at a decreased dose. Collection of donor embryos was carried out on days 6 to 8 after the scheduled AI. The parameters observed included superovulation response, number of corpus luteum, number of embryos and quality of embryos. The results showed that the response of Pesisir cattle superovulation was 81.25%. The average number of CL obtained was 13.75 and embryos for Pesisir cattle was 11.25. The results also showed that the quality of the embryos obtained were grade A 19, grade B 18, grade C 7, grade D 1. It can be concluded that the use of various doses of FSH hormone at doses of 16 mg, 17 ml, 18 ml and 19 ml had shown a superovulatory response. The 17 ml dose of FSH hormone showed a large number of embryos and had the best embryo quality.

This study aims to research the role of internal auditor to the quality of financial reporting. Financial reporting is an important part as consideration to make a decision. Therefore, the quality of financial reporting needs to be observed because it affects stakeholders’ decision. Nowadays, the role of internal audit is highlighted as one of the important roles to improve the quality of financial reporting. This study uses primary data by questionnaires given to the internal auditor of BPR in some areas of Bandung City, Bandung District, and West Bandung District. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. This research uses 33 samples of BPR with 60 internal audit respondents, and there are 50 questionnaires which were returned. Data analysis tool used is a simple linear regression. Before being tested using simple linear regression, testing the validity and reliability of the questionnaires that are used will be carried out. The results of this research shows that the internal auditor has a positive and significant role on the quality of financial reporting with the results by 62.4%. This figure means that 62.4% has strong enough influence. The more the internal auditor involves in monitoring the reliability of financial reporting, the better quality of financial reporting will be.

<p align="center"><span><span style="font-size: medium;">ABSTRACT</span></span></p><p><span><span style="font-size: medium;"><span> </span>This study was conducted to determine the effect of saponin with different doses on mortality of white snapper (Lates calcalifer). The study was conducted on 18 to 31 July 2017 at the Center for Sea Aquaculture Development (BBPBL) Pesawaran District, Lampung. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments included, treatment A (3 ppm), B treatment (5 ppm), C treatment (7 ppm), and D treatment (9 ppm). The results showed that administration of saponin with different doses gave a very significant effect on mortality of white snapper (F count&gt; F table). The fastest time of death can be in treatment D (9 ppm) that is 45 minutes, followed by treatment of C (7 ppm) that is 74.6 minutes, then treatment B (5 ppm) is 91 minutes and longest time of death in treatment A ( 3 ppm) ie 128.6 minutes. Banana pulp can be used as a substrate in the manufacture of tempeh inoculum. The aimed of this study was to determine the activity of the  tempe inoculum from banana pulp to the quailty of chemical, organoleptic and microbiological soybean tempeh. The experimental design used in this study was completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor was the concentration of inoculum (LIPI inoculum and banana pulp inoculum) with different concentrations on each treatment. Parameters measured were moisture content, ash content, protein content, total fungi, misellium observations, and also favorite sightings include compactness misellium raw tempeh, aroma and texture. The results showed that LIPI inoculum concentrations of 0.2%, Banana Peel (KP) 0.1%; 0.2%; 0.3%; and 0.4% had no different effect on moisture content, protein content, and ash content, but significantly different effect on the misellium compactness, texture, and flavor. The use of 0.3% inoculum of banana pulp is the best treatment for the quality of soybean tempeh with misellium compactness, texture, and aroma which preferred by the panelists with a moisture content of 58.66%, ash content of 0.73%, and protein content 20,31 % according to SNI 01-3144-1992. Key words: banana pulp, inoculum, soybean tempeh   ABSTRAK Limbah kulit pisang dapat dijadikan sebagai substrat dalam pembuatan inokulum tempe. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas inokulum bahan limbah kulit pisang terhadap mutu kimia, organoleptik dan mikrobiologi tempe kedelai. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu konsentrasi inokulum (Inokulum Buatan LIPI dan inokulum limbah kulit pisang) dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda pada tiap perlakuan. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar air, kadar abu, kadar protein, total jamur, pengamatan misellium, dan juga kesukaan penampakan tempe mentah meliputi kekompakan misellium, aroma dan tekstur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa faktor konsentasi inokulum LIPI 0,2%, Kulit Pisang (KP) 0,1%, KP 0,2%, KP 0,3%, KP 0,4% memberikan pengaruh tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kadar air, kadar protein, kadar abu, tetapi memberikan pengaruh berbeda nyata terhadap kesukaan kekompakan misellium, tekstur, dan aroma. Penggunaan inokulum kulit pisang dengan konsentrasi 0,3% merupakan perlakuan terbaik terhadap mutu tempe kedelai dengan kekompakan misellium, tekstur, dan aroma yang disukai oleh panelis dengan kadar air 58,66%, kadar abu 0,73%, dan kadar protein 20,31% sesuai dengan SNI 01-3144-1992.
