Technology has blurred the lines between gambling and gaming. While the convergence can be witnessed on many different levels, social casino games on social networking sites and mobile apps illustrate just one example. Much of what we currently know about social casino games focuses on player behaviour, with little understanding about this genre from the perspective of social game professionals. This paper aims to fill the gap in our understanding of social casino games through interviews with the professionals who design them. In-depth interviews were conducted with 14 professionals from the social casino games industry. Interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings illustrate tensions that exist between the two fields of gambling and gaming; however, both are trying to separate themselves from the stigmatized ‘dirty secret’ that is gambling. Further, as a result of social casino games residing, for the most part, in an unregulated ‘grey area,’ findings illustrate the ethical struggle felt by social casino game professionals. This convergence has significant consequences, not only for players, but for game developers, designers, and researchers, and highlights the importance of game designer education.

Abstract In this study, the survey method was used to analyse the life satisfaction of three different refugee groups that are Syrian, Iranian, and Afghan who lives in the Denizli province of Turkey. According to the outcomes of in-depth interviews and surveys conducted on 150 refugees, the most common reason for immigrating to Turkey is the civil war-factor. The survey results show that the Afghan refugees’ level of income increased compared to that of before immigration. Afghan and Syrian refugees are more satisfied with their lives in Turkey compared to Iranian immigrants. Besides, uneducated and male refugees, living in a country with the same religion as the departure country are more satisfied than other immigrants. Therefore Iranian immigrants, most of whom are not Muslim, are planning to migrate again from Turkey to more advanced economies. In sum, the results of this study indicate that the major factors affecting life satisfaction of immigrants are educational status, religion, gender, and income.

Organizations intend to achieve a high level of information systems flexibility and success. They plan information systems with multiple approaches and adopt different planning methodologies. A broad range of measurements is available in the literature to assess IS planning effectiveness and success. This study theoretically develops a causal model to assess and predict IS planning success, empirically validate the model, and simulate the empirically tested model to predict the "ends" and "means" of the IS planning. The Systems Dynamics approach is used to model and simulate the "ends" and "means" variables. The model represents the user involvement in IS planning and flexibility variables ("means") and IS success variables ("ends") in a framework. The questionnaire survey method is used to validate the model, and the survey was administered to 296 respondents from 42 organizations selected from eight different sectors. The survey results validate the existence of relationship between user involvement, flexibility, and IS success. The empirically validated model is used to predict flexibility and information systems success in the surveyed organizations.

BACKGROUND: At present, dengue fever is a threat to society and causes rapid death. Aedes aegypti mosquito bites can transmit disease to the public. Environmental factors in society are the primary role that can transmit Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). AIM: Creating a survey system using a smartphone for early alertness to larva monitoring in the Darul Imarah sub-district, Aceh Besar district. METHODS: This study used a descriptive quantitative approach which was carried out by the survey method. The research location is located in Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar District. Primary data contain the value of the Container index (CI), House index (HI), and Breteau index (BI). This study’s population was all cadres of Juru Jentik (jumantik) in the area of Darul Imarah District, AcehBesar District. The sample in this study was taken from a cadre of larva monitoring officers (jumantik) in the district of Darul Imarah, Aceh Besar. The data collection stage includes data collection of DHF cases from the Puskesmas and data entry. Then proceed with taking the coordinates of the research location and entering the HI and CI, and News Index (BI) data. Data collection begins with data buffering, grouping, and kernel density to be processed into Geographics Instrument System (GIS)-based data. then Analyze descriptive data to describe Smartphone Link. Next, Analytical Analysis of GIS Research Instruments is carried out followed by a checklist of CI, HI, BI data. RESULTS: The results of research on larvae monitoring in Darul Imarah sub-district, it is known that of the 120 houses that were inspected for larvae, 74 houses were cheerful 46 houses were negative for larvae. The number of containers inspected from 120 houses was 502, with the results that 309 houses were found to be larvae and 193 houses were not found. The HI value obtained was 62%, the CI value was 61%, the BI value was 103%, the larva-free number value obtained was 38.3%. Based on these results, it is known that the density figure level is at the larva density level, which is included in the high-density category. In 2018, there were 16 cases of DHF in Darul Imarah District; in 2019, it increased to 60 cases, and in 2020 to 13 cases. The results of buffer analysis in the zone 50 m from the dengue case sufferer’s house showed that mosquitoes originating from the house of the dengue case sufferers were a risk factor that resulted in the transmission of dengue. CONCLUSION: From the survey results, it is known that the density figure is in the high larva density category. The smartphone method is better used for larva density surveys by cadres than manual. Regular larva monitoring will increase this alert system to anticipate cases.

This article first discusses the content of English translation and expounds the types of learning disabilities and the specific manifestations of learning disabilities. Then, through the questionnaire survey method, it analyzes the translation ability and English learning psychology of the current college students in our country. Finally, the Apriori data association algorithm is used to explain the relationship between them, and specific solutions are proposed based on the survey results. Studies have shown that 72.6% of students have poor English translation skills, and 69.4% of students have psychological obstacles in English learning.
