This study is aimed at finding out the effectiveness of pairwork activities technique on students’ writing ability. The research is quasi-experiment with posttest only design. Students at grade XI Vocational School 1 Sungai Penuh engage in the study, whereas only two classes selected as sample (experimental class and control class). Writing test carries out after the treatment in each class, it means instrument is constructed in writing form in order to know students ability in writing. The data are analyzed by using t-test. The finding of hypotheses testing proves that the p-value is 0,00. Thus, p-value is lower than 0,05 (0,00<0,05) which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Hence, the pairwork activities technique is effective to be used in creating student’s better writing ability than conventional technique. Pairwork activities technique can enhance students activities in writing, where each pair of students should be active in generousing the ideas and cross-check their own writing with the intention of create better writing outcome.

Educating young people about drugs among high school studentsBackground: Adolescence is a transition between childhood and adulthood. At this stage of development, adolescents have tasks that must be completed, if adolescents are not able to carry out their roles properly they can be involved in the drugs abuse and other addictive substances.Purpose: to analyze the effect of educating young people  on improving the knowledge and attitudes about drugs among high school studentsMethod: A quasi experiment, using a pre-test and post-test design. The population was  all of student council organization such as  of (youth consultation information center, youth red cross, Scouts) and all students in grade XI (high school)  Negeri 4 Kendari. The samples was divided by 2 group: intervention groups (44 respondents) and control groups (44 respondents). Measuring instruments used were pre-test, post-test day 1, and post-test day 2 after intervention. Data analysis used paired t test and unpaired t test.Results: Shows that the briefing regarding of negative of consequence addicted to drugs  had a significant effect on students' knowledge with p-value <α (0,000) and attitude 0,000. Whereas in the control group there was no effect on knowledge (p value = 0.151) and attitudes (p value = 0.141). The results of the independent test t test obtained knowledge of 0,000 while the attitude of 0.082. This shows there is a difference between knowledge in intervention and control groups but there is no difference in attitude between intervention and control groups.Conclusion: There is effectiveness of briefing regarding of negative of consequence addicted to drugs  on knowledge among high school students in Kendari.Keywords: Educating; Young people; Drugs; High school studentsPendahuluan : Masa remaja merupakan masa peralihan antara masa kanak-kanak dan masa dewasa. Pada tahap perkembangan tersebut, remaja memiliki tugas yang harus diselesaikan, bila remaja tidak mampu menjalankan tugas dengan baik mereka dapat terlibat dalam dunia narkotika, psikotropika, obat-obatan terlarang dan zat adiktif lainnya.Tujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan sikap remaja tentang bahaya Narkotika  pada remaja pada kalangan siswa SMA Negeri 4 Kendari.Metode: Penelitian quasi experiment, menggunakan rancangan pre test and post test design. Populasinya semua pengurus organisasi siswa siswi terdiri dari (pusat informasi konsultasi remaja/PIKR, palang merah remaja/PMR, Pramuka) dan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Kendari. Sampel dibagi dalam 2 kelompok meliputi kelompok perlakuan (44 responden) dan kelompok kontrol (44 responden). Alat ukur yang digunakan kuesioner pre test, post test hari ke-1, dan post test hari ke-2 setelah penyuluhan. Analisis data menggunakan uji T berpasangan dan uji T tidak berpasangan.Hasil: Pada kelompok perlakuan (penyuluhan) menunjukkan bahwa pemberian penyuluhan tentang narkotika berpengaruh signifikan pada pengetahuan siswa yakni p value < α (0,000) dan sikap 0,000. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol tidak ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap pengetahuan (p value = 0,151) dan sikap siswa (p value = 0,141). Hasil uji indenpenden T test diperoleh pengetahuan sebesar 0,000 sedangkan pada sikap 0,082. Hal ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara pengetahuan pada kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol akan tetapi tidak ada perbedaan sikap antara kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol.Simpulan: Kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang bahaya narkotika di Sekolah Menenganh Atas Negeri 4 Kendari.

Personality is considered one of the internal factors that have an impact on students’ ability in language learning. The present study investigated the impact of personality types on their ability in writing English. There are two types of personalities studied: Extrovert and Introvert. The research is quasi-experiment. Students at grade XI Vocational School 1 Sungai Penuh engage in the study, whereas only two classes selected as samples (experimental class and control class). Students were given a personality questionnaire to recognize their personality types. Then, the writing test carries out in each class in order to know the student's ability in writing. The data are analyzed by using t-test. The finding of hypotheses testing proves that the p-score is 0,00. Thus, the p-score is lower than 0,05 (0,00<0,05) which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Hence, there is a significant impact on students’ personalities to their writing ability. Students with introvert personalities have better writing scores than students with extrovert personality.

The study is concerning with experimental study which discussed the effect of planted question technique on students’ achievement in writing narrative text. It took place at SMP Pabaku Stabat. The subjects were the nineth grade students with the population of 132 students. 60 students were chosen as the sample and group into experimental and control group. Each group consisted of 30 students. The experimental group was taught with planted question technique while the control one was taught without planted question technique. A writing test was used to collect the data on the students’ writing ability. The data collected were analyzed by using t-test. The result of the data analysis showed that the t-observed was 6,53. It was higher that the value of t-table (tt) is 1,67 for 5% and 2,39 for 1%. This meant that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It can be concluded that there is effect of planted question technique on students’ achievement in writing narrative text of nineth grade of SMP Pabaku Stabat.

This research aims to know enhancement the Student's writing ability by using wordless picture book as a contributive learning media. The benefits of using wordless picture book show that the students enhance their writing ability and create their creative writing and thinking skill. The researcher applied quasi-experimental method, with two groups namely experimental and control class. The experimental class consists of 30 students and control clas consists of 30 students. The subjects of the research were 60 students from two classes taken from students of SMP Negeri 10 Parepare. The research instrument was writing test in which the comparison of pre-test and post-test decided the enhancement of the Student's writing ability. The results of the data analysis showed that the Student's writing ability getting significantly improvement. It was proved by the mean score of pre-test was 46.93 and the post-test was 80.00. It indicates that the use of wordless picture book can enhance the Student's writing ability at SMP Negeri 10 Parepare. Besides, after analyzing the data by using the t-test formula, the result of t-test value in post-test was 6.02 and t-table value was 1.671. It meant that the t-test value was higher than t-table value. It clarified H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected and the students who were taught by using wordless picture book were better than the students who were taught by using wordless picture book.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the significant effect of using comic strips strategy toward students’ reading comprehension and writing ability at MTsN 1 Pekanbaru. A Quasi-Experimental by Non-equivalent Pre-test and Post-test Group was applied as a designed for study. The sample was two classes (VIII 3 and VIII 4) consisting 20 students of treatment class, and 20 students of control class. The data were computed using SPPS 20.0 to analyze Independent sample t-test and Paired sample t-test. The finding of this study revealed that there was a significant effect on students’ reading comprehension by using comic strips strategy, it shown on paired sample t-test; treatment class was 77 and control class was 64.5, the hypothesis testing showed the result of post T-test -7.149, then score of sig.(2-tailed) is 0.000, if we act to null hypothesis (Ho) that is 0.05, it means that the score of sig.(2-tailed) was smaller than score of Ho. The data also revealed that there was a significant effect on students’ writing ability, it shown on paired sample t-test; treatment class was 79.6 and control class was 54.2, the hypothesis testing showed the result of post T-test -21.9, then score of sig.(2-tailed) is 0.000, if we act to null hypothesis (Ho) that is 0.05, it means that the score of sig.(2-tailed) was smaller than score of Ho. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. From those data it can be summarized that there is a significant effect of using comic strips strategy on students’ reading comprehension and writing ability.

Latar belakang: Kondisi sasaran pencapaian Indonesia Sehat 2015 dari program MDG’s yang belum tercapai, sehingga dilanjutkan dengan program SDGs menjadikan Indonesia harus banyak berperan dalam semua kegiatan khsusnya di bidang kesehatan. Proses pencapaian cakupan program kesehatan sangat dipengaruhi oleh Health education yang dilakukan petugas kesehatan kepada warga, kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan: Penelitain ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan perilaku hidup bersih sehat yang  dilaksanakan warga setelah diberikan intervesi health education.  Metode: Metode penelitian dilaksanakan secara quasi experiment pre dan post test.  Teknik mengambil sampel secara purposive Sampling pada 30 reponden kelompook intervensi dan 26 responden kelompok kontrol. Analisa data dilakukan secara paired t test. Hasil: Hasil di dapat ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku hidup bersih sehat repsonden sebelum dan sesudah diberi penyuluhan p value = 0,000. Saran: Diharapkan pemerintah setempat menggerakkan petugas kesehatan bersama-sama dengan warga melakukan perilaku hidup bersih sehat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan memfasilitasi  sarana penunjang untuk menjalankan perilaku hidup bersih sehat, dengan maksimal pada warga. Kata kunci: Health eduation,  Perilaku Hidup Bersih Sehat

Abstract : Schizophrenia is a disease process that affects perceptions, emotions, social behavior and the ability to accept reality correctly. Families with schizophrenics often feel anxiety and burdens associated with client care. The problem can be solved by giving FPE therapy. This study aims to explain the effect of Family Psychoeducation (FPE) therapy on anxiety and family burden in caring for family members with schizophrenia. This research uses quasi experiment research pre-post test with control group. The number of respondents in this study were 18 respondents for the control group and 18 respondents for the treatment group. The study was conducted in District Bola from 24 May to 28 June 2017. Giving therapy done by the researchers themselves who have obtained a license from nurse specializing in mental health nursing. Data analysis used in this research is dependent t test and independent t test. The result of dependent t test of anxiety and load test was obtained significance value <0,05, this result showed significant decrease of anxiety and load after FPE therapy. While the results of independent t test showed that the significance of anxiety and family burden <0.05 which means that there is a significant difference in reducing anxiety and family burden between the treatment and control group after being given FPE therapy, that is, with an average decrease in anxiety and burden For the treatment and control groups of 10.11 and 3.5, respectively. This means that FPE is more effective in reducing family anxiety. Thus it is expected that FPE can be applied as an alternative therapy in reducing the anxiety of families who care for people with schizophrenia.Keywords : family psychoeducation,  anxiety, family burden Abstrak : Skizofrenia merupakan proses penyakit yang mempengaruhi persepsi, emosi, perilaku sosial dan kemampuan menerima realita dengan benar. Keluarga dengan penderita skizofrenia seringkali merasakan kecemasan dan beban yang berkaitan dengan perawatan klien. Masalah tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pemberian terapi FPE. Penlitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan pengaruh terapi Family Psychoeducation (FPE) terhadap kecemasan dan beban keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga dengan skizofrenia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasi experiment pre-post test with control group. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini 18 responden untuk kelompok kontrol dan 18 responden untuk kelompok perlakuan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Bola mulai tanggal 24 Mei-28 Juni 2017. Pemberian terapi dilakukan oleh peneliti sendiri yang telah mendapatkan lisensi dari perawat spesialis jiwa. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dependent t test dan independen t test. Hasil analisis dependent t test kecemasan dan beban didapatkan nilai signifikansi< 0,05, hasil ini menunjukkan penurunan kecemasan dan beban secara bermakna setelah diberikan terapi FPE. Sedangkan hasil analisis independent t test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi kecemasan dan beban keluarga < 0,05 yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan yang bermakna dalam menurunkan kecemasan dan beban kelurga antara kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol setelah diberikan terapi FPE, yaitu dengan rata-rata penurunan kecemasan dan beban untuk kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol masing-masing yakni 10,11 dan 3,5. Hal ini berarti bahwa FPE lebih efektif dalam menurunkan kecemasan keluarga. Dengan demikian diharapkan bahwa FPE bisa diaplikasikan sebagai alternative terapi dalam menurunkan kecemasan keluarga yang merawat penderita skizofrenia.Kata Kunci : family psychoeducation, kecemasan, beban keluarga

Latar Belakang: Cakupan ASI Eksklusif masih banyak yang tidak mencapi target dan masih banyak ibu yang tidak memberikan ASI Eksklusif kepada bayinya karena minimnya pengetahuan mengenai manfaat ASI Eksklusif dan sikap atau kebiasaan yang dilakukan tanpa melalui penalaran apakah yang dilakukannya baik atau tidak dalam pemberian ASI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh media lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu menyusui tentang ASI Eksklusif di wilayah kerja puskesmas Koppe Kabupaten Bone. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi experiment dengan rancangan two group pretest dan posttest design. Tehnik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling yaitu sebanyak 70 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistic Paired Samples Test  dan independent t-test dengan tingkat kemaknaan 95% (α: 0,05). Hasil: Hasil penelitian pada dua kelompok intervensi menggunakan uji Paired Samples Test menunjukkan ada pengaruh pengetahuan dan sikap ibu menyusui tentang ASI Eksklusif sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi dengan p value masing-masing 0,000 (p value < 0,05). Ada perbedaan pengaruh pengetahuan antara kelompok lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi setelah diberikan intervensi dengan menggunakan uji independent t-tes ( p value 0.002 < 0,05). Tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh sikap antara kelompok lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi setelah diberikan intervensi ( p value 0.085 > 0,05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu menyusui tentang ASI Eksklusif. Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh pengetahuan antara kelompok lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi setelah diberikan intervensi dan tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh sikap antara kelompok lembar balik dan kartu kendali edukasi setelah diberikan intervensi.

This research was conducted to find out the effect using Edmodo application on the students’ writing skill of analytical exposition text at SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Data of the students score of writing Analytical Exposition text was collected using writing test, and the hypothesis testing was examined based on t-test for normally because the data distribution was normal. A test in form of writing analytical exposition text was used the instrument to collect the data needed. Then, the data were analyzed by using parametric statistic dependent sample T – test because the data were normally distributed. The writer took conclusion based on statistical result. The result of this research shows that the critical value for students T distribution was 1.734 the critical value t0 was t05 {19} = 1.729. Because 1.734 is greater than 1.729, null hypothesis was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there was significant effect of using Edmodo Application in writing Analytical Exposition Text gained by eleventh grade of SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Thus, Edmodo Application had been successful in improving students’ writing ability of Analytical Exposition text. The researcher suggest that the teacher should provide an appropriate media in teaching English, especially for Analytical Exposition Text and made Edmodo Application as reference to him/her to use it for making students’ attracted to the material.

Latar Belakang: Anemia merupakan keadaan tubuh seseorang yang memiliki kadar hemoglobin dibawah normal. Salah satu syarat untuk mencegah terjadinya anemia pada ibu hamil dengan memberikan zat besi sebanyak 90 tablet selama kehamilan. Selain itu, dengan mengkonsumsi bahan makanan seperti kurma dan ubi jalar juga membantu untuk ibu hamil mendapatkan zat besi yang cukup. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian stik kurma ubi jalar terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada ibu hamil. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 30 ibu hamil yang dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Jangkar. Hasil: Hasil uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji paired T-test dimana terdapat perbedaan kadar hemoglobin sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi (konsumsi “stik kurma ubi jalar) dalam 5 hari dengan nilai rata-rata (mean) yaitu 0,31 gr/dL dan p-value 0,010<0,05. Simpulan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian stik kurma ubi jalar berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kadar Hb pada ibu hamil.   Kata Kunci : Pemberian stik kurma ubi jalar, peningkatan kadar hemoglobin, ibu hamil
