The aim of this research is to find out whether there was a positive relationship between students’ interest in reading and their mastery of English vocabulary for fifth grade elementary school students at the lab school in Jakarta. This research used a quantitative method applying a co-relational approach. The population for this research was fifth grade elementary school students from three lab schools. A simple random sampling was used to select a sample of 60 students as respondents from these schools: Lab school Rawamangun in East Jakarta, Lab school Setia Budi in South Jakarta and Lab school Kebayoran also in South Jakarta. Data was collected using a questionnaire with 30 questions requiring answers on a Likert scale and 32 test items were given to each respondent. The conclusion from this research is that there was a positive and significant relationship between interest in reading and mastery of English vocabulary amongst the sample fifth grade elementary school students from these lab schools in Jakarta. Hence, students who had high interest in reading, their mastery of English vocabulary also increased.

This paper aims to know the implementation of distance learning during COVID-19 cases in Pacitan and to find out the obstacles in handling distance learning in Pacitan. This is phenomenological research. The data were collected by using an online interview with parents. There were 48 parents of kindergarten and elementary school students as the sample. The researcher selected the sample by using simple random sampling. The results showed that there were five implementations of distance learning: doing worksheets from school (15 students), joining online class/online sources from the internet (7 students), completing the task from school (18 students), doing free activities without guidance (4 students), doing free activities with guidance (7 students). However, there were eight obstacles faced by parents in implementing distance learning: the parents could not focus to guide children in learning (4 respondents), the children could not focus to their learning (10 respondents), the children got boredom (4 respondents), the children did not want to learn (10 respondents), the children wanted to watch the television or play games (4 respondents), the children asked to go to school (3 respondents), the children could not do online learning (7 respondents), and the children had limited understanding related to the material (3 respondents).

The purpose of this study was to determine the direct influence student attitudes and interests of student learning to the learning outcomes Elementary School fifth grade science students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey method with a causal approach. Sampling study amounted to 40 respondents. Withdrawal of the number of samples using Cluster Random Sampling (Sampling Area). The findings of this research are: 1) The attitude of the students positive direct effect on learning outcomes IPA elementary school students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau. That is the positive attitude of students in the study will lead to good learning outcomes, 2) Interest in learning a direct positive effect on learning outcomes Elementary School fifth grade science students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau. This means that there is interest in learning on students will lead to good learning outcomes, 3) direct effect positive student attitude toward interest in learning science elementary school students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau.   Keywords: Student Attitude, Interest In Learning, Learning Outcomes.   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung Sikap siswa dan Minat belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey dengan pendekatan kausal. Pengambilan sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 responden. Penarikan jumlah sampel menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling (Area Sampling). Temuan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Sikap siswa berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau. Artinya sikap siswa yang positif dalam belajar akan menyebabkan hasil belajar yang baik, 2) Minat belajar berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau. Artinya minat belajar yang ada pada diri siswa akan menyebabkan hasil belajar yang baik, 3) Sikap siswa berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap minat belajar IPA siswa SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau.   Kata kunci: Sikap siswa, Minat belajar, Hasil belajar.

Abstract: Dental health education conducted to the elementary school students is one of the promotive efforts to increase oral and dental health, however, it needs an appropriate media. This study was aimed to evaluate the difference between health promotion using audio media and using audio-visual media to dental health behavior of elementary school students. This was a quasy experimental study using questionnaire as the instrument. This study was conducted among elementary school students of Sekolah Dasar Inpres at Tiwoho North Minahasa. There were 56 students as respondents obtained by using simple random sampling method. The result of independent T-test showed a difference between the average behavior value of the audio group and of the audio-visual group (p= 0.004). Conclusion: There was a significant difference between health promotion using audio media and using audio-visual media to care dental health behavior among elementary school students. Keywords: health promotion, audio, audio-visual Abstrak: Promosi kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa sekolah dasar merupakan salah satu upaya promotif dalam meningkatkan kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak. Untuk melakukan hal tersebut diperlukan penggunaan media yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi perbandingan pengaruh promosi kesehatan menggunakan media audio dengan media audio-visual terhadap perilaku kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa SD. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Inpres Tiwoho Minahasa Utara, dengan jenis penelitian quasy eksperimental menggunakan kuesioner. Jumlah responden sebanyak 56 siswa diperoleh dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil uji statistik independent T-test menunjukkan perbedaan antara nilai rerata kelompok audio-visual dan kelompok audio (p=0,004). Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara promosi kesehatan menggunakan media audio dengan media audio-visual terhadap perilaku pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa SD.Kata kunci: promosi kesehatan, audio, audio-visual

Thisstudyaims toimprove poetry writing skills with acrostic techniques in elementary school students. This research is descriptive qualitative. This type of research is a class action research (Class Action Research). The research carried out consisted of two cycles, each cycle being carried out three times.TheThe research procedure includes planning, implementing the action, observing and reflecting. The subjects in this study were 34 grade V elementary school students.After carrying out the research in the first cycle 21 of 34 students got a score of 72.35 who got a "low" qualification. After that, the second cycle of research was carried out, 33 students got an average score of 80 in the "High" qualification. Based on the results of the research in the first and second cycles it proves that the application of acrostic techniques in learning to write poetry in fifth grade elementary school students is very appropriate because the application of these techniques can improve student learning outcomes in writing poetry for the better.

The purpose of this study was to develop and test the effectiveness of the character education module based on the school literacy movement. This type of research uses Research and Development (RnD). The research subjects used were fifth grade elementary school students in the RA Kartini Cluster, Jaken District, Pati Regency. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data was collected using observation sheets, interview sheets, photos of activities, and filling out questionnaires. Sources of data obtained from filling out questionnaires, observations, and responses from school principals, class teachers, subject teachers, students, and school committees on the implementation of the module. The resulting module is validated by material experts and module experts. Small group trials were conducted in fifth grade SDN Mojoluhur, Jaken District, Pati Regency. Meanwhile, product use trials were carried out in fifth grade SDNs in the RA Kartini Cluster, Jaken District, Pati Regency. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and using the t-test to determine the effectiveness of the module. The questionnaire instrument test used validity and reliability, while the quality of the module in the study used expert validation. The results showed: (1) a character education module developed based on the school literacy movement for elementary schools; (2) the character education module based on the school literacy movement is declared valid, the percentage of eligibility criteria for the validator is 75% (feasible) and 83% (very feasible); (3) the character education module based on the school literacy movement is effective for instilling character education in elementary school students. This is shown in the t test the effectiveness of -121.696 1.86 was obtained and the average student character questionnaire before and after using the module increased by 30.08%; (4) the results of teacher responses from observations showed 75.6% (good).

Multicultural approach in Indonesian language has become an absolute necessity over the last years. This research highlights the role of multicultural culture as a means to improve writing achievement of Indonesian Language among elementary school students. This study aims at determining the effectiveness of the multicultural approach in the writing achievement of Indonesian language among fifth grade students of islamic elementary school who are grouped based on their learning motivation. This study can be catagorized as an experimental study with 2x2 factorial design. The independent variable consists of two categories, multicultural and conventional approaches. The population was  60 fifth grade students of at two private islamic schools. The data was collected using learning achievement tests and learning motivation questionnaires, and analyzed using two-way ANOVA and sheffe test. The results showed that (1) there were a gap in learning achievement between students in the experimental group and control group students; (2) there were differences in learning achievement between students with high motivation between both groups; (3) there were differences in learning achievement between low motivated students between both groups; (4) the multicultural approaches proved to be more effective than the conventional one; and (5) there was no interaction between the approaches and the learning motivation.

Abstract   This study aims to determine the results of the performance contribution of physical and health physical education teachers to motor ablity and learning outcomes in state elementary school students in Pinrang Regency. This research is a type of correlational research. The population is male elementary school students in Pinrang Regency with a sample of 100 students with cluster random sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used is multiple correlation. Based on these results it can be concluded that (1) There is a contribution of the performance of physical and health physical education teachers to motor abilities in state elementary school students in Pinrang Regency by 57.1%, this result shows that the performance of physical and physical education teachers has a contribution to the motor ability of state elementary school students in Pinrang Regency, and (2) There is a contribution of the performance of physical and health physical education teachers to the learning outcomes of elementary school students in Pinrang Regency by 71,5%. These results indicate the analysis that the performance of physical and health physical education teachers has a contribution to the learning outcomes of elementary school students in Pinrang Regency. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian korelasional. Populasinya adalah siswa putra SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pinrang dengan sampel berjumlah 100 orang siswa dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi ganda. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Ada kontribusi kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan terhadap motor ability pada murid SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pinrang sebesar 57,1%, Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan memiliki kontribusi terhadap motor ability murid SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pinrang, dan (2) Ada kontribusi kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan terhadap hasil belajar pada murid SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pinrang sebesar 71,5%. Hasil ini menunjukkan analisa bahwa kinerja guru pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan memiliki kontribusi terhadap hasil belajar murid SD Negeri di Kabupaten Pinrang. COVID-19 is currently a major health problem worldwide. Indonesia is one of the countries affected and is in the 21st position with the most positive cases of Covid in the world. Children who are exposed to the Covid-19 virus usually only cause mild symptoms or even cause no symptoms. This makes children a source of spreading the virus without realizing it. Therefore, education on how to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 (Clean and Healthy Living Behavior) is important to prevent children from being exposed to the Covid-19 virus and becoming a source of infection without realizing it. To determine the effect of comic education and leaflets on increasing the knowledge of parents of elementary school students about PHBS for preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. This study used a quasy experimental design with a desaign pre-post test group design involving 68 parents of grade V students who were selected by cluster random sampling. Knowledge data collection is carried out online. There were differences in respondents' knowledge of the effect of comics education media use (p = 0,) and leaflets (p = 0,). There is an effect of nutrition education through comics and leaflets on knowledge about Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors in parents of elementary school students as an effort to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. ABSTRAK COVID-19 saat ini menjadi masalah kesehatan paling utama di seluruh dunia. Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara yang terdampak dan menduduki posisi ke-21 dengan kasus positif Covid terbanyak di dunia. Anak yang terpapar virus Covid-19 biasanya hanya menimbulkan gejala ringan atau bahkan tidak menimbulkan gejala. Hal ini membuat anak menjadi sumber penyebaran virus tanpa disadari. Oleh sebab itu, edukasi mengenai cara pencegahan penularan Covid-19 (Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat) penting dilakukan untuk mencegah anak terpapar virus Covid-19 dan menjadi sumber penularan tanpa disadari. Mengetahui efektivitas edukasi komik dan leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan orangtua siswa sekolah dasar mengenai PHBS untuk pencegahan penularan virus Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy experimental dengan rancangan pre-post test group desaign dengan melibatkan 68 orangtua siswa kelas V yang dipilih dengan cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data pengetahuan dilakukan secara daring. Ada perbedaan pengetahuan responden terhadap efektivitas penggunaan media edukasi komik (p=0,) dan leaflet (p=0,). Media komik dan leaflet dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat pada orangtua siswa sekolah dasar sebagai upaya pencegahan penularan virus Covid-19. Media leaflet dianggap lebih efektif karena peningkatan rata-rata skornya lebih besar daripada kelompok media komik.
