This study aims to find a characterization technique that can be applied in building puppet characters by puppets students. This study uses a theater approach that is the theory of techniques of Pemeranan. Behavioral technique is a common technique that can be learned to improve the skills, acumen, and skills of a cast in the role of a drama character. The method used is the observation method involved. The results are found that as a cast, puppet pupils need to have basic capital of character and be able to master basic techniques of characterization. In relation to the role techniques that puppeteers can learn to improve their character building abilities are the techniques of breathing, vocal techniques, content-giving techniques, development techniques, peak engineering, protrusion techniques, and improvisation techniques.Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan teknik pemeranan yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam membangun karakter tokoh wayang oleh mahasiswa Jurusan Pedalangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teater yakni konsep teknik pemeranan.Teknik pemeranan merupakan teknik umum yang dapat dipelajari untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan, ketajaman, dan kecakapan seorang pemeran dalam memerankan karakter tokoh drama. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pengamatan terlibat. Adapun hasil yang ditemukan ialah mahasiswa pedalangan sebagai seorang pemeran, perlu memiliki modal dasar pemeranan dan harus mampu menguasai teknik dasar pemeranan. Adapun teknik pemeranan yang dapat dipelajari oleh mahasiswa Pedalangan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membangun karakter adalah teknik pernapasan, teknik olah vokal, teknik memberi isi, teknik pengembangan, teknik membina puncak, teknik penonjolan, dan teknik improvisasi.

This paper discusses the importance of the students ‘character building in the level of primary school/Islamic elementary school to face the globalization and information era. Education is the process of determining the nation’s character. Good or bad character of the nation in the future will be determined by the present quality of education. Building the character through Tahfidzul Quran learning approach is expected to be the main foundation to improve the degree and prestige of learners as the asset of the nation. This study aimed to describe the process of Tahfidzul Quran learning which included planning, organizing, doing action and monitoring the important role of learning itself to build the learners’ character, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga.

This writing deals with developing moral values by the ‘project citizen’ through several stages of its learning. Hopefully this article could act its role in enlightening and motivating for the teachers to be able to use this model later. Starting from the idea of character building by John Dewey (1859-1952) through the flow of Progressivism. He explains that "schools should make students as citizens to be more democratic, free thinking and intelligent". It can be interpreted that the role of the school as an institution must provide learning that can develop a wide range of student competence. The most appropriate learning strategies to achieve what is thought of this school is by using learning model of ‘project citizen’. This model is basically based on the strategy of inquiry learning, discovery learning, problem solving, and research-oriented learning. From the experiments which conducted, using the model is able to achieve competency in the subject of Civic Education. The model of project citizen learning has become the best model, which is able to develop the character of students through the process of participative learning. Therefore, educating character as a pillar of our national education goals, could be developed through the learning model of project citizen.

This paper begins the discussion by examining the genealogy of al-Ghazali's thinking, then discussing ideas about his education, to attract its relevance to the current practice of moral education. There are several important points that are the result of this discussion; First, that al-Ghazali's intellectual journey in the search of truth is a very dynamic intellectual dialectic, although in the end, he overrides the ability of reason in seeking the ultimate truth, he has really optimized the role of reason by placing it in a very special position. Second, for al-Ghazali that the estuary of all educational activities is to get closer to Allah. Thus, among the reasons that made al-Ghazali identified as a conservative goalkeeper. Third, however many criticisms of al-Ghazali's concept of education, many of his ideas are still relevant today, especially in matters of character building and moral education.

The article is devoted to the problem of developing values among adolescents, along with the significance of literature in this process. Adolescence with all its complexity and contradictions is a period of intensive development of the value system, which influences both character-building and personality in general. The authors of the study have identified fundamental characteristics of values and value perspectives of youth, and reasonably established specific factors in their formation while studying literary works. A teenager perceives life values only in personal, concrete embodiment. For this reason, literary works and their protagonists are rightly considered an effective way of passing on a set of values from generation to generation. The information theoretic unit of the article is complemented by the results of the empiric interdisciplinary research with basic concepts defined, sample characteristics and research methods given, and the outcomes of the experiment presented. Using M. Rokeach’s value list, the authors have defined the value system of modern adolescents, and analyzed the mechanisms of their formation through the curriculum pieces of Ukrainian literature.

This research focuses on the role of Al Muhajirin Orphanage in Palu City in building religious character of children reviewed from Islamic law. This research used qualitative research method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. The data obtained were analyzed using data reduction technique, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1). The caregivers' efforts in building the religious character of children were strongly supported by the situation and condition of Al Muhajirin Orphanage marked by the stay of foster children in the dormitory, so that religious-based character building could be performed optimally. The religious-based character values that were developed including being religious, disciplined, like to read, caring for the environment, responsible, and honest. The implementation of religious-based character formation aims to make a person as a good human being. The forms of implementation of character education are manifested by cultivating the faith, providing guidance, providing good role models, enforcing rules, providing advice, motivation, and conducting supervision (2). Islamic law review of the role of caregiver included educating, teaching, and training. Educating means transmitting and developing the values of life/personality. Teaching means transmitting and developing science and technology. While, training means developing skills in foster children based on QS. Al-Kahfi [18] 66-70. Meanwhile, character building in Islam is the same as moral education and it is also a purification of the soul and character of humans to become righteous humans based on the Quran and hadith.

The role of the teacher in shaping the character of students is one important component in shaping the character of students to become better. Based on the results of research carried out at Karitas Watuneso high school that in shaping the character of students the teacher provides motivation, advice, guidance, and becomes an example for students  who should be encouraged and replicated by the students participants. The type of motivation that teachers do at Karitas Watuneso high school is by providing scholarships for students, the type of guidance provided by teachers at Karitas Watuneso high school is implemented during the learning process and when other spiritual or extra-curricular activities are carried out, the role of the teacher in shape the character of students by giving advice to students, namely face to face with students specifically in one particular room, in addition to forming the character of participants in high school Karitas Watuneso teacher is an example thas is used as an example by students relating to attitudes, appearance, time discipline, as well as courtesy in speaking and mutual respect both teacher-teacher and teacher with students. The application of character that has been carried out at Karitas Watuneso senior high school is to provide stimulus for students before learning begins consisting of praying before starting learning and after learning, tidying the tables and chairs before learning begins, reminding students of the material being taught, and providing motivation for students related to the material to be taught. The purpose of providing motivation, guidance, advice, and being an example for students is that students know every wrong action that has been done by students and students are motivated to think creatively, learn independently, honestly, be responsible, discipline time, and neatly married school and have good manners.

wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Buleleng dengan tujuan 1) mendeskripsikan potensi ekowisata yang dimiliki DTW wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Buleleng, 2) Menganalisis peranan masyarakat desa adat untuk pengembangan potensi ekowisata di pesisir Kabupaten Buleleng, 3) memetakan sebaran tingkat potensi ekowisata di kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Buleleng. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survai didukung dengan metode observasi. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, 1) Potensi ekowisata yang berada di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Buleleng secara umum dapat dikembangkan sebagai ekowisata. 2) Peranan Desa Adat dalam pengembangan ekowisata pesisir dalam kategori tinggi. DTW yang dikelola oleh desa adat memberikan tanggung jawab langsung untuk mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki. 3) Sebaran tingkat potensi ekowisata pada kawasan timur masih perlu ditingkatkan, sedangkan wilayah pesisir bagian dan bagian barat memiliki potensi tinggi. Nilai tertinggi pada pesisir bagian barat. Hal ini karena DTW biorock di Desa Pemuteran melibatkan wisatawan untuk turut menjaga lingkungan dan berpartisipasi dalam melestarikan terumbu karang sebagai daya tarik utama. Kata kunci: Pemetaan, Ekowisata, Wilayah Pesisir Abstract This research was conducted in the coastal areas of Buleleng with the purpose of 1) describe the potential of ecotourism owned DTW coastal areas of Buleleng, 2) to analyze the role of indigenous villagers for potential development of ecotourism in the coastal district of Buleleng, 3) to map the distribution of the level of potential eco-tourism in the coastal area district Buleleng. The method used in this study is a survey supported by the observation method. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Results showed that 1) The potential for ecotourism in the coastal areas of Buleleng in general can be developed as an ecotourism. 2) Role of the Village People in coastal ecotourism development in the high category. DTW managed by indigenous villages provide direct responsibility for developing potential. 3) Distribution rate ecotourism potential in the eastern region still needs to be improved, while the coastal areas and western parts have a high potential. The highest value on the western coast. This is because the DTW biorock in the village of Pemuteran involving tourists to participate in maintaining the environment and participate in the preservation of coral reefs as the main attraction. This study discusses the role of parents in character education for young women according to Islam. This research library research. The main and first character education for children is the family environment. Education in the family is very important and is the main pillar of character building for a child. The family as the smallest social unit is the most important educational environment and is responsible for educating their children. The education provided by parents should provide a basis for children's education regarding the socialization process and their life in society. Good parenting styles will have a good impact on children's development as well as should. The success of character building in children is influenced by the role of parents in educating children. Parents play an important role in forming an intimate and long-lasting interaction system characterized by personal loyalty, love, and affectionate relationships

This study aims to determine the role of school residents in the formation of the religious character of students in Al Husna Islamic Elementary School and Al Qudwah Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research (field research). The research was conducted in two places, namely (1) Al Husna Rangkasbitung Islamic Elementary School and Al Qudwah Integrated Elementary School Kalanganyar. Data were collected by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are; (1) religious character is needed and must be possessed by students to face changing times and moral degradation. The formation of religious character can be assessed from the aspect of the spiritual attitude of students. (2) the role of school residents such as principals, teachers and parents is very important in shaping the character of students, educators as second parents in schools are the main motor in shaping the religious character of students. (3) the role of parents cannot be underestimated in an education, students who spend more time at home ideally parents should be able to synergize in the formation of the religious character of students when at home. (4) inhibiting factors for the formation of religious character in Islamic schools, one of which is educational policies that are not in line with the school program. (5) efforts are being made to optimize the formation of religious characters by providing education and training for teachers around character building, appreciation of students and parental liaison books.
