This paper deals with the concept of the translation approach to the problem of interaction of language and culture in terms of determination of the translation solutions by linguoethnic factors. The authors pay main attention to the analysis of the notion of culture. The concept proceeds from the views and opinions regarding the culture and its role in shaping the identity of the person introduced by the honorary doctor (doctor honoris cause) of the MGIMO-University Federico Major in his book «New page». Sharing the point of view of F. Major , the authors come to the conclusion that culture is a knowledge, based on which an individual perceives and evaluates his performance and behavior. Projecting such a position on the verbal behavior, the authors highlight the leading role of culture in the process of producing a speech act played when choosing the individual models of behavior on the basis of the knowledge of the communicative situation. Based on F. Mayor`s opinion that culture unites rather than divides people, the authors note the presence of universal and unique linguoethnic elements in the cultural knowledge of the representatives of various ethnic groups which determine the degree of similarities and differences in the ways of expressing knowledge in different languages. In this paper the authors reasonably use the term «linguoethnic» to describe the cultural-cognitive peculiarities inherent to individuals as representatives of different ethnic groups, as well as give comparison of the terms «linguoethnic» and «linguocultural».

The purpose and tasks of the work are to analyze the contemporary Ukrainian mass culture in terms of its value and humanistic components, as well as the importance of cultural studies and Ukrainian studies in educational disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview of modern youth.Analysis of research and publications. Scientists repeatedly turned to the problems of the role of spirituality in the formation of society and its culture. This problem is highlighted in the publications by O. Losev, V. Lytvyn, D. Likhachev, S. Avierintsev, M. Zakovych, I. Stepanenko and E. Kostyshyn.Experts see the main negative impact of mass culture on the quality approach, which determines mass culture through the market, because mass culture, from our point of view, is everything that is sold and used in mass demand. One of the most interesting studies on this issue was the work by the representatives of Frankfurt School M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno «Dialectics of Enlightenment» (1947), devoted to a detailed analysis of mass culture. Propaganda at all socio-cultural levels in the form is similar in both totalitarian and democratic countries. It is connected, according to the authors, with the direction of European enlightenment. The tendency to unify people is a manifestation of the influence of mass culture, from cinema to pop. Mass culture is a phenomenon whose existence is associated with commerce (accumulation in any form – this is the main feature of education), in general, the fact that it exists in this form is related to the direction of the history of civilization.Modern mass culture, with its externally attractive and easily assimilated ideas and symbols, appealing to the trends of modern fashion, becomes a standard of prestigious consumption, does not require intense reflection, allows you to relax, distract, not teach, but entertains, preaches hedonism as the main spiritual value. And as a consequence, there are socio-cultural risks: an active rejection of other people, which leads to the formation of indifference; cruelty as a character trait; increase of violent and mercenary crime; increase in the number of alcohol and drug addicts; anti-patriotism; indifference to the values of the family and as a result of social orphanhood and prostitution. Conclusions, perspectives of research. Thus, we can conclude that modern Ukrainian education is predominantly formed by the values of mass culture. Namely, according to the «Dialectic» by Horkheimer and Adorno, «semi-enlightenment becomes an objective spirit» of our modern society. It is concluded that only high-quality education can create the opposite of the onset of mass culture and the destruction of spirituality in our society. It is proved that only by realizing the importance of cultivating disciplines in the educational process and the spiritual upbringing of the nation, through educational reforms, humanitarian knowledge will gradually return to student audiences.Formation of youth occurs under the influence of social environment, culture, education and self-education. The optimal combination of these factors determines both the process of socialization itself and how successful it will be. In this context, one can see the leading role of education and upbringing. It turns out that the main task of modern education is to spread its influence on the development of spiritual culture of the individual, which eventually becomes a solid foundation for the formation of the individual. Such a subject requires both philosophical and humanitarian approaches in further integrated interdisciplinary research, since the availability of such research will provide the theoretical foundation for truly modern educational and personal development.

We showed in [2] that if an object of initial size x (x large) is subjected to a succession of random partitions, then the object is decomposed into a large number of terminal cells, each of relatively small size, where if Z(x, B) denotes the number of such cells whose sizes are points in the set B, then there exists c, (0 < ≦ 1), such that Z(x, B)x −c converges in probability, as x → ∞, to a random variable W. We show here that if a parent object of size x produces k offspring of sizes y 1, y 2, ···, y k and if for each k x - y 1 - y 2 - ··· - y k (the ‘waste’ or the ‘cover’, depending on the point of view) is relatively small, then for each n the nth cumulant, Ψ n (x, B), of Z(x, B) satisfies Ψ n (x, B)x -c → κ n (B), as x → ∞, for some κ n (B). Thus, writing N = x c , Z(x, B) has approximately the same distribution as the sum of N independent and identically distributed random variables (The determination of the distribution of the individual appears to be a difficult problem.) The theory also applies when an object of moderate size is broken down into very fine particles or granules.

In this work, a study of the crystalline perfection of an aluminium single crystal is presented. The study shows that, from three-dimensional neutron diffraction rocking curves, it is possible to characterize the individual crystalline domains of a multidomain crystal. From a macroscopic point of view, the determination of the domains allows an evaluation of the crystalline perfection of the crystal under study. Three-dimensional rocking curves have been obtained by neutron diffraction from a large mosaic aluminium crystal. Construction of a contour map of individual domains made it easier to determine the breadth and relative intensity of each domain. The angular distances between domains were also determined.

The article deals with the problem of the dynamics of the manifestation of value orientations of modern Ukrainian students, the patterns of their occurrence and factors influencing their formation in the context of philosophical, sociological, ethical and cultural dimensions and cross-cultural comparative studies. The article focuses on the problem of the existence of modern youth, the formation of new ideological and humanistic values, and the search for basic principles of world attitude in the conditions of transformational changes in society as a whole. The process of integrative and social development of modern youth, which is accompanied the changes of hierarchical correlations of values and appearance of new, and also socially psychological features which show up on the different levels of valued-normative sphere of personality in a socio-cultural context under act of gender-age factors, is analysed. It is rotined that principles of organization, logician of functioning and processes which generate the individual and superindividual systems of values at all of likeness of common concepts have different nature and require different interpretations accordingly. Development of method of practical research of the individual and / either superindividual systems of values requires the constructions of operational determination of key categories which are utillized in research. From the functional point of view instrumental values activate as criteria, as standards of estimation during a choice only to modus (to the method) of conduct or actions, and a terminal is utillized an individual during the estimation of both aims of activity and possible methods of their achievement.

The article raises the question of the cultural landmarks of the heroes of the novel B.L. Pasternak “Doctor Zhivago”. As is known, the plot of the work takes place at the turn of the eras, and for some heroes this becomes an incentive to think about their cultural self-determination. Their actions and behavior model are directly related to the attitude to cultural reality described in the work, and sometimes even aimed at its transformation by practical, revolutionary methods. A certain catalytic role in relation to culture is one of the criteria of a cultural hero. From this point of view, a comparative analysis of the positions of B.L. Pasternak and A.A. Blok in relation to the revolutionary events of 1917, their reflection in “Doctor Zhivago” and in the poem “Twelve” is carried out. The image of Yuri Zhivago is investigated from the point of view of the type of cultural hero - the Ascetic. The characteristic is given to the image of Antipov (Strelnikov) as a representative of the type of cultural hero - Conquistador. It has been established that Zhivago’s ascetic cultural position is based on loyalty to timeless ideals, an idea of the aesthetic potential of the Personality in relation to reality, while Antipov's (Strelnikov) actions are aimed at suppressing the individual human principle and, therefore, are devoid of a genuine creative component that nourishes the culture of mankind.

The development of open information and communication space creates conditions for the spread of bilingualism as a leading trend in the language development of modern society. However, the disadvantage of this situation is the interference, which involuntarily occurs if you speak two or more languages. The problem of detecting indications of interference becomes especially relevant, which is explained by many reasons, among them vague language and translation training of the translator, which is what causes the indications of harmful interference in intercultural communication and translation. Clarifying the indications of interference as a communicative barrier due to the convergence of linguistic and cultural codes of the contacting languages will ensure a successful process of intercultural communication and translation. It will promote the development of relevant, significant professional translation activities in translators. When learning a language, try to find similarities or differences in language structures to better explain errors in differences or master the material by comparing the similarities of language structures. In intercultural communication and translation, the main aim is to convey information to the reader or listener in the most natural way possible, using all known stylistic, grammatical, lexical, and grammatical means. This research was conducted based on the methods of observation, comparison, analysis, functional and descriptive methods. In order to solve this problem, the achievements of linguistics, sociolinguistics, psychology, psycholinguistics, methods of teaching foreign languages were analyzed, as the study of the phenomenon of interference is based on them. The result is the formation of a linguistic personality, in particular, the bilingual personality of the translator in a dialogue that has the ability and skills to use the language in all its manifestations in different situations of intercultural communication; the ability to understand and assimilate someone else's way of life and behavior in order to break ingrained stereotypes; skills to expand the individual picture of the world by involving in the "language picture of the world" speakers of the studied language. Some prospects for further explorations in the development of a direct model of the bilingual personality of a translator in the context of intercultural dialogue and methods of linguistic and cultural formation competencies of translators in the aspect of mastering linguistic and cultural knowledge, skills and abilities in the studied areas of communication.

The article presents a theoretical analysis of informative and manipulative influence on the socio-political consciousness and behavior of modern youth. The interpretation of consciousness in the psychological and political areas has been revealed, which makes it possible to consider information technologies as an important attribute of influence on political consciousness. There has been conducted the analysis of the psychological components of informative and manipulative technologies, which defined as the dominance of the spiritual state of the individual, the imposition of thoughts, ideas, attitudes, values and management of behavior in favor of the subject of influence. There has been revealed the idea that the favorable socio-political conditions encourage the media to exert influence by manipulating the political consciousness and behavior of young people. The opinion has been clarified, that the use of communication technologies, that optimize the implementation of policy actors of their tasks and responsibilities through rational means, sequence of actions, development of an appropriate algorithm of behavior, result in the implementation of human activities to achieve socially significant goals, including political one. In the context of this issue, the role of the media in the political processes of society has been revealed, where they act as a means of manipulative influence aimed at transforming the political consciousness of young people. The factors influencing the political consciousness of young people have been analyzed, where the most influential are: granting the right to edit, adding their own conjectures; distortion of information; submission of false information; being reticent about major events; being ahead of the curve. However, the main reason for the effects of informative and manipulative influence lies in the personal scope, where it is important to have the ability to think critically, to analyze, interpret, defend the point of view, have strong energy and will, to have different forms of verbal influence of optimal mechanisms of thought and actions appropriate to the situation. Methods of effective counteraction to informative and manipulative influences have been determined. The main one is the ability to distribute information in the associative space, when one constructs the absence of intersection of the discussed events by associative connection with other unrelated events. Due to effective approaches, modern youth has the opportunity to stop being a "passive mass" and become active citizens who defend their opinions, make independent decisions and form their own patterns of behavior.

AbstractBy comparing five aspects between China and the West—ideas, model of political participation, path of economic and social development, pattern of protection of language and culture rights, and construction of national cohesion and social (Minzu) solidarity, this paper reveals that the Chinese path of integration and development among all ethnic groups has the following characteristics: the ideas of equality, solidarity, mutual assistance and harmony among all ethnic groups; the integrative participation model of all ethnic groups under the unified leadership of the Communist Party of China; the integration on the economic and social development (common prosperity and development); equal protection of the language and culture rights of all ethnic groups; strong sense of national cohesion and social solidarity of fifty-six ethnic groups, based on the equal emphasis on the individual and collective rights as well as the close integration between political value and traditional cultural value. In general, China’s ethnic policies embody both specific rights and the level of community with a common future. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, relations between ethnic groups are harmonious and positive, and development of all ethnic groups tends to achieve a real equality. In Western countries, ethnic (or racial) relations remain relatively stable with fluctuations from time to time, and the development gap between ethnic groups has a trend of further expansion. Different ideas, systems and cultural concepts lead to different ethnic relationships and current situations of development between China and the West.
