The situation and conditions with the COVID-19 pandemic have made students to Learn From Home (BDR). This situation has been going on for more than 1 year since March 2020, the government, in this case, the Ministry of Education and Culture has given directions to open Face-to-face Learning (PTM) in the even semester of 2020. From the studies conducted, many schools (>80%) in Indonesia are ready for PTM. The directives from the government have been stated in the Joint Decree (SKB 4 ministers dated June 15, 2020 and revised on August 7, 2020 and March 30, 2021. The school authorities must improve the schools to prepare for the opening of this PTM after a long BDR, especially SMAN 96 West Jakarta which is a partner in this Community Service. Preparation must be made in accordance with the government's directive in the SKB. How are students preparing to do PTM? What should be done? To help the schools keep the PTM running well and safely, it is necessary to make education about healthy living behaviors for students in the school environment. This education includes :1. Education on preparation for school (while still at home),2. Education when students arrive in the school area, 3. Education during learning activities,4. Education on leaving the classroom when the lesson is finished, 5.Education when arriving at home after school and start doing activities at home. The results of this community service are in the form of pocket books and behavioral education presentation materials on how to live a healthy life in the school environment for students.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, schools did not open face-to-face learning services. The Ministry of Education and Culture has issued a policy learning from Home (BDR) to support the principles of the Education Policy in the COVID-19 Pandemic that the health and safety of students, educators, education personnel, families, and the community is the top priority. However, learning in Vocational School (SMK) is mostly based on practice so that BDR activities cannot be implemented. One thing that is done to overcome this is that some practicum activities can be executed using multimedia known as virtual laboratories. The aim of this study is to conduct a need analysis for the development of a virtual laboratory.  Needs analysis is carried out to gather data about gaps and needs as well profiles of students that can be used as a basis or reference in developing virtual laboratory at the next stage. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires. The results showed that a virtual laboratory was needed to support practical learning for vocational students.

AbstractDuring the pandemic, the government issued the policy to learning from home, followed by the other policy to open face-to-face learning in the New Normal era. This study aims to determine the implementation of learning from home policy and the readiness of madrasas to conduct face-to-face learning in the New Normal era. This research was conducted using an online survey method in 2021. The results showed that 85% of madrasas carried out the learning process online, of which 86.8% were carried out through the assignment method from the teacher. In the learning process at home, only 28.7% of students were accompanied, reminded, supervised, and assisted by their parents. It means that the role of parents in learning from home is minimal. However, 86.5% provide internet access. Regarding the readiness of madrasas in face-to-face learning, 62.24% were not ready to carry out face-to-face learning. This unreadiness relates to the difficulties in fulfillment of aspects that are required for face-to-face learning.

Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic has required governments around the world to suspend face-to-face learning for school and university students. Colleges of pharmacy are faced with the challenge of training students in hospitals that are under considerable pressure at this time. The government of Saudi Arabia has moved all classes and training online to limit the spread of the virus. This study describes the experience of the Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE and APPE) students and preceptors engaged in the virtual IPPE training. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted to describe and appraise the implemented virtual IPPE training from the experiences of IPPE and APPE students, and their preceptor. The IPPE students described their experiences in close-ended questionnaires, while APPE students in open-ended questionnaires, and the preceptor described the experiences in narrative. The study focused on highlighting the advantages, opportunities, challenges, and shortcomings of the virtual training. Results Two preceptors and seven APPE students participated in the preparation and administration of the virtual training. The IPPE students’ experiences, based on 87 respondents, were mostly positive. Although IPPE students enjoyed the time flexibility that allowed the learning of new skills and reflection on previous experiences, 15% experienced difficulty finding quiet places with a reliable internet connection or had difficulty working on team-based activities. Moreover, some were anxious about the lack of adequate patient-care experience. On the other hand, the APPE students found the experience enriching as they gained experience and understanding of academic workflow, gained skills, and overcame the challenges they faced during this virtual training experience. Conclusions Future training programs should be organized to overcome the challenges and to maximize the benefits of training experiences. Schools of pharmacy may benefit from the training materials constructed, prepared, and administered by APPE students to improve IPPE students’ learning experiences and outcomes.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on all areas of life, including education. The education system, which was originally face-to-face, had to be replaced with online learning. Various problems arise related to the implementation of the Distance Learning or PJJ system. This system makes parents have to participate more in supervising as well as being a substitute for teachers at home in the learning process of their children. In addition, homeschooling also raises problems where students find it difficult to understand the material given by the teacher. The decrease in enthusiasm for learning becomes a problem when the PJJ system seems monotonous and boring. To support the government's program in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 without reducing the effectiveness of online learning implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture, this activity was carried out. This activity is expected to help reduce the anxiety of parents who are afraid that their children are not serious and have difficulty in learning. In addition, it is hoped that this activity will help participants to easily understand the material that has not been mastered. The methods of socialization, demonstration, and mentoring are carried out directly. The success of this activity can be seen from the assistance of the participants in solving the problems faced and the enthusiasm of the participants during the activity.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the world of education to change its system and use a new paradigm to deal with emerging problems. The government made a policy that ratified the independence of learning in the new era. All levels of society must prepare themselves to do face-to-face learning through online activities by utilizing technology within the framework of learning from home. Learning held using online media provides opportunities for students to develop themselves independently, guided by teachers in distance learning (PJJ) through online classes. Many new problems arise, not only faced by students but also by parents and teachers. This is due to not being familiar with PJJ. The problem faced by teachers is that it is difficult to control students let alone make them study seriously and effectively. The problem faced by parents is that not only do they not have the financial ability to provide information technology tools to carry out learning activities but also they do not have sufficient cognitive abilities to assist their sons and daughters in solving problems in lessons, so interesting methods are needed to solve this problem. . English as a foreign language is a big problem for students and parents to carry out learning without direct teacher assistance. Moreover, narrative text is a difficult material for students of SMP Negeri 2 Kepanjen to master. The researcher found that the learning by doing method initiated by Dewey would help students to better understand narrative texts. The researcher tried to apply this method to students in grade 9 ASMP N 2 Kepanjen for the 2020-2021 school year. After applying the method initiated by Dewey, there was a significant improvement in the ability to understand narrative texts. This can be seen from the value they get. The increase in value reached 31.4%. Kenaikan nilai mencapai 31,4%.
